Sahifa Radhvia - Eight Supplications for Deliverance from Mischief of a Tyrant

“When any of you pray against the other person he should say,
allaahummat ruqho be-laylatin laa ukhta lahaa, wa abeh hareemahu.
O Lord, strike him with peerless misfortune in the night and allow his defenses to be ransacked.[1]
Makaarem al-Akhlaaq, vol. 2, p. 149; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 95, p. 222
(2) Supplication for Overcoming Enemy and Other Difficulties
When Ma’moon was enraged over Imam Reza (a.s.) he (a.s.) recited this dua and his anger subsided:
billaahe astafteho wa billaahe astanjeho wa be-mohammadin (sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi) atawajjaho. allaahumma sahhil lee hozoonata amree kullahu, wa yassir lee so-o’obatahu, innaka tamhoo maa tashaaa-o wa tusbeto, wa i’ndaka ummul ketaab.
By the help of Allah, I seek conquest, by the power of Allah, I will achieve success and through Muhammad (s.a.w.a.), I turn to (Allah). O Lord, soften for his hardheartedness all of it, and comfort me from his difficult attitue; You delete what You will, and establish. And with You there is the original book.

Imam Ali ibn Abi Taalib (a.s.) narrated:
“I never got enraged for any matter, never got entangled in any financial and martial difficulties whenever I recited this dua, the Almighty Allah subsided my rage, faciliated my problems, control over my enemy and success in my matters.”[2]

In Your curtain from the evils of Your creatures and save me from all the pains and evils by Your favor and save me from all the evils of those who do evil, by Your power. O Allah! One who plotted against or desired for me. Then indeed take me out from his machinations and I seek Your help regarding him by Your strength and Your power and strengthen my hands for the enemies. When You are my helper, there is no god except You, O the best of the merciful ones. And the god of the worlds. I ask You for the release from difficulty and salvation and cure and help upon the enemies. And the divine help in what You like, Our Lord and You are satisfied. O God of the worlds. O the Forceful One in the heavens and the earths. O Lord of Muhammad and his purified and clean progeny. Your blessings be on them all.[3]

“Whenever you visit a person whose mischief you fear, recite this supplication:

O Allah! Your Hand is above his hand and Your Kingdom is Superior than his kingdom. O Allah! I strike on his neck with Your Help, and I seek refuge in You from his evil, and I seek Your help against him, and I seek protection towards You from what I fear from his side for myself. O Allah! Be my thinking when I think of You in what I don’t find in it a succor except You and neither a refuge except You, then certainly it is known that Your justice is vaster than the tyranny of the tyrants, and Your justice is beyond (reach of) the oppressors, then recompense me for it O Lord of the worlds, by Your right upon You, then surely there is none who do not know Your right according to Your recognition with Your right. You are sufficient to me O Allah! You are sufficient to me O Allah! You are sufficient to me O Allah! And whoever trusts You than You are sufficient for him, it happened as per Your promise, and speech of Your book, and You are the biggest guarantor. Glory be to You, Lord of the worlds and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad and his progeny.[4]

(5) Supplication for Safety from Mischief of Tyrant
Imam Reza (a.s.) on the authority of his father (a.s.) says:
“Abu Ja’far al-Dawaaneqi (l.a.) sent for Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) in order to kill him. He prepared the sword and a piece of special leather (which was used to put on the floor for executing people on). al-Dawaaneqi told al-Rabee’, “Chop off his head when I clap my hands after I speak with him.”
Then when Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) entered, the Imam (a.s.) looked at al-Dawaaneqi from a distance and the Imam’s lips were moving. Abu Ja’far (al-Dawaaneqi) was sitting in his place and was saying, ‘O Aba Abdullah! Welcome. We only sent for you to pay off your debts.’
He then gently asked about his household and added,
‘Allah (s.w.t.) has paid off your debts and has determined your reward. O Rabee’, do not do any thing until Ja’far returns to his family.’
When al-Dawaaneqi left, al-Rabee’ told the Imam (a.s.), ‘O Aba Abdullah! Did you see the sword and the leather that was prepared for you? What were you saying when you were moving your lips?’
Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s.) said, ‘When I noticed the wickedness in his eyes I said,
hasbeyar rabbo menal marboobeena wa hasbeyal khaaleqo menal makhlooqeena wa hasbeyar raazeqo menal marzooqeena wa hasbeyal laaho rabbul a’alameena hasbee man howa hasbee hasbee man lam yazal hasbee hasbeyal laaho laa elaaha illaa howa a’layhe tawakkalto wa howa rabbul a’rshil a’zeem.
Sufficient for me is the Lord against the lorded. And sufficient for me is the Creator against the creatures. And sufficient for me is the Sustainer against the sustained. Sufficient for me is Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Sufficient for me is He Who is sufficient for me. Sufficient for me is He Who has been always sufficient for me. Allah suffices me. There is no god save Him. In Him have I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Tremendous Throne.[5]

(6) Another Supplication for Safety from Mischief of Tyrant
Sayed Ibn Taaoos narrated in his book ‘Mohijj al-Da’waat’ on the authority of Imam Reza (a.s.) that he (a.s.) said:
“A person came to Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s.) and complained to him about the tyranny inflicted upon him.
Imam (a.s.) said to him: ‘Why do not you recite Dua-e-Mazloom (Supplication of the Oppressed) which the Messenger (s.a.w.a.) had taught to Imam Ali ibn Abi Taalib (a.s.)? There is not a single aggrieved person who recites this supplication and has not got deliverance from the mischief of the tyrant:

O Allah! Embed him in misfortune, and cover him in calamity, and indulge him in discomfort and harassment one after the other, and involve him daily that he cannot escape [it should be continuous], and hourly that he cannot escape, and expose his sanctity, and send blessings upon Muhammad and his household (peace be upon him and them), and protect me from his evil, and save me from his commands, and force his heart in awkward situation, and keep his mouth shut on me. “and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent Allah so that you shall not hear aught but a soft sound.”[6]Surah Taahaa (20): Verse 108
“And the faces shall be humbled before the Living, the Self-subsistent Allah, and he who bears iniquity is indeed a failure.”[7]
Surah Taahaa (20): Verse 111 “Go away into it and speak not to Me.”[8]Surah Moamenoon (23): Verse 108
Be silent, be silent, be silent, be silent, be silent, be silent, be silent.[9]Mohijj al-Da’waat, p. 306; al-Misbaah, p. 273; Behaar al-Anwaar, vol. 95, p. 215; al-Jannah al-Waaqeyah wa al-Jannah al-Baaqeyah (manuscript), p. 49

(7) Supplication for Defeating the Enemy and Resolving Problems
Imam Reza (a.s.) narrated:
One of the companions of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) found a paper which he presented to him (s.a.w.a.). The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.), at the time of prayer, went on the pulpit and read what was written on that paper. It was an invocation written by Hazrat Yusha Ibn Noon the successor of Prophet Moosa (a.s.):
‘In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful. No doubt your Lord is Compassionate and Kind. Beware, the best servant of Allah (s.w.t.) is he who guards himself against evil and is concealed and the worst is one who is being pointed i.e. he is famous.’
So whoever wants to fill up his bowl and wants to discharge his duties for the sake of the blessings, awarded to him by the Almighty Allah, should recite this dua everyday:
subhaanal laahe kamaa yambaghee lillaah wa laa elaaha illal laaho kamaa yambaghee lillaah wal hamdo lillaahe kamaa yambaghee lillaah wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahe wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin wa ahle baytehin nabiyyeenal a’rabiyyil haashemiyye wa sallal laaho a’laa jamee-i’l mursaleena wan nabiyyeena hattaa yarzal laah.
Glory be to Allah like it befit for Allah; and there is no god except Allah like it behove for Allah; and the praise is for Allah like it befit for Allah; there is no might nor power except with Allah; and blessings of Allah upon Muhammad and the progeny of the prophet, the arab, the hashmite and praise of Allah be upon all the messengers and the prophets till Allah is pleased.
Then the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) came down from the pulpit. As people were insisting him about this invocation the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) again went on the pulpit and said:
Whoever wants that he should be praised and glorified more than the Mujaahedin (Fighters in the way of Allah) he should recite this supplicaton each day. His needs will surely be fulfilled, his enemies will be destroyed, his loans will be cleared, all his problems will be solved, his invocation will be fixed on Divine Tablet (Lauh-e-Mehfooz) after taking round of the sky.”

(8) Supplication to Overcome the Enemy
It is narrated in the book ‘Khawaass-e-Aayaat-e-Quran-e-Kareem’ by Imam Reza (a.s.):
“If someone has an enemy then he should recite
Yaa Haseebo
O Reckoner.
80 times having pure intention and humility taking care of its meaning. It is to be started from Thursday. Surely his enemy will be overpowered.”
It is also written in the same book that there is no other invocation stronger than this for waiving out the tyranny of an enemy.

SAHIFA MAHDI (ajtfs) Protection from Enemy
Recite this supplication for deliverance from difficulties and protection from the evil of thieves:
O’ Allah, indeed I fear You and fear those who fear You, and I seek refuge in You from those who do not fear You.
Background of dua
:Late Ayatullah Sheikh Ali Akbar Nahavandi writes: “Sheikh Ali Akbar Tehrani, who lives in Mashhad, narrated an incident for us saying:
The pious cleric, Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Turbati, who was one of the great scholars and clerics of Islamic Ethics and a student of Allama Mirza Habibullah Rashti and had is permission of jurisprudence, said: One of my religious god-fearing students, who were among the Sayyids of the city of Turbat, narrated for me that:
“On returning from the Ziyarat of the holy shrines, I left ‘Khaniqeen’ along with a student and went walking behind a caravan towards the ‘Qasr e Shireen’. We were weakened as a result of immense thirst and hunger, and with great difficulty, we managed to reach the caravan. We saw that the caravan was looted by bandits and all their wealth was robbed, their men were injured and were found lying in the desert, their carriers were broken and fallen on the ground.
We moved towards a corner out of fear and went on top of a hill. All of a sudden, we saw a dignified Sayyid standing next to us. He greeted us with Salam, then gave us seven dates of Zahidi and said: eat four dates and give the remaining three to the Sheikh.
Then he said: Recite this supplication for deliverance from difficulties and protection from the evil of thieves:
When we eat the dates, our thirst vanished. Thereafter, we walked a short distance with that honorable Sayyid; suddenly, he indicated towards a place and said: this is your house. When we looked, we found our house situated below that hill. On entering the house, we felt very sleepy out of extreme tiredness. We slept without paying attention to the incident that occurred to us. After waking up, we understood that that noble man was the master of time, Imam Mahdi (A.S.).

SOURCE Al Monji
In the book ‘Darus Salaam’ mentions I found the Manuscript of Allama Majlisi saying
" Sayyid Ameer Mohammad Hashim asked me to give him the permission of the Yamani Amulet which is associated with Imam Ali(as). Therefore, I am giving him the permission of narrating this supplication; Narrated from Ameer Ishaque Astarabadi (who is buried in Karbala ), who narrated from Imam Mahdi (A.S.).

Supplication of HIJAB (CONCEALMENT), from Enemy SAHIFA MAHDI
O’ Allah, hide me from the eyes of my enemies, and gather me with my friends, and fulfill that which You have promised me, and protect me in my occultation until You permit me for reappearance, and revive through me those obligations and recommendations which have turned old, and hasten in my relief, and ease my exit,

and allocate a dominating support for me from Your threshold, and help me succeed with an apparent victory, and guide me to the straight path, and protect me from all those transgressors I fear, and conceal me from the eyes of those who have grudge against me, those who hold enmity against the household of Your Prophet, and do not let anyone reach me with their wickedness;

thus when you permit my reappearance, strengthen me with Your army, and support those who follow me for supporting Your religion, and those who fight in Your path, and make them victorious over those who have wicked intentions for me and for them, and help me succeed in the establishment of Your regulations, and support me against those who trespass Your boundaries,

and help the truth, and defeat the evil, indeed evil is ending, and bring near me those Shias and companions whose vision cools my eyes, and strengthen my back, and regard them in Your protection and safety, with Your mercy, O’ the most Merciful of the merciful. [1]

Honorable Sayyid Ali bin Taoos (R.A.) states in his book ‘Muhaj ud Da’waat’, after mentioning the supplication of concealment and other concealments, that: These concealments are among those things whose recitation has been revealed upon us when a flood arrived and resulted in the drowning of a number of people, and water had spread everywhere. It was extremely difficult to save one’s life in such a condition. The intensity of the flood resulted in the devastation of several flood-prone areas. The acceptance of these supplications made it possible for us to live there and repel all the difficulties, becoming the guarantor of our safety from these happenings. We thank God for it.[2]

His supplication 70 on gaining victory over the enemies
Bismillaahir rah’maanir rah’eem. Wa laa h’aula wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil a’leeyil a’z’eem.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. And there is no strength or power except with Allah, the Great and High. O Allah we worship You and from You only we seek help.

yaa allaahu yaa rah’maanu yaa rah’eemu yaa ah’adu yaa s’amadu yaa ilaaha muh’ammadin
O Allah! O Merciful! O Compassionate! O the one! O the self-sufficient! O God of Muhammad! (Peace of Allah be on him and his progeny).

ilaika nuqilatil aqdaamu wa afaz”atil quloobu wa shakhas’atil abs’aaru wa muddatil aa’naaqu wa t’ulbatil h’awaa-iju wa rufia’til aidee
In Your domain feet are moving ahead and with the presence of heart, eyes are awaiting, necks are stretched high, where desires are asked and hands are lifted.

allaahummaftah’ bainanaa wa baina qauminaa bil h’aqqi wa anta khairul faatih’een.
O Allah! You judge between us and our nation with truth, as You are the best of the judges.

Then repeat three times.
Laa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu Akbar.
There is no god except Allah and Allah is great.

His supplication when he used to fight the enemy
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.
O Allah! My heart is present in Your Domain and the head is lowed down and eyes are fixed at You, feet are trembling and the body has become weak, old enmities are manifested; pots of malice are boiling out.

O Allah! I complain to You of the departure of our Prophet and the abundance of the enemies, and the colourful desires.

O Allah! Grant truth a victory between me and my enemies, as You are the best of those who bestow victory.

Supplication for cooling the Anger
It is narrated from Imam as-Sadiq (a.s.) that he said: When you are angry say:

O Allah take away from me the anger of my heart, and forgive me my sins, and take me away from mischief and deviations. I ask You Your pleasure, and I seek refuge of Your displeasure. I ask You Your Paradise and seek refuge by You from Your Fire (Hell). And I ask You for all the good and seek refuge from all evils. O Allah, make me firm on guidance and the correct way, and make me satisfied and able to satisfy You, and not a deviant and deviator.[1] Hilyat al-Muttaqeen, Ash-Shaykh al-Majlisi, Pg. 448

Repelling someone you hate
When you intend to repel a person or a group of people you don’t like, say:
Bismillaahir rah’maanir rah’eem. “Tadhroohur riyaah’u wa kaanallaahu a’laa kulli shai-im muqtadiraa.”
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent the Merciful. Which the winds scatter; and Allah is the holder of power over all things.[2]Surah Kahf 18:45
Rabbanakshif a’nnal a’dhaaba innaa mu-minoon.
Our Lord! Remove from us the punishment; surely we are believers.[3] Surah Dukhan 44:12
Yauma-idhiyn yas’durun naasu ashtaataa.
On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies[4]Surah Zilzal 99:6
Anfiru khifaafanw wa thiqaalaa.
Go forth light and heavy.[5]Surah Tawbah 9:41
Read them softly (to yourself) then say: By the right of these blessed verses separate them from me.
For destruction of the oppressor
Shaykh Kamaluddin ad-Damiri has mentioned in his book, Hayatul Haiwan: One who recites Surah Feel a thousand times every day for ten days continuously and makes an intention of what he desires and on the tenth day he should sit on flowing water and say:
Allaahumma antal h’aaz”iru bimaknoonaatis saraa-iri, waz” z”amaa-ir. Allaahumma a’zzaz’ z’aalimu, wa qallan naas’iru, wa antal mut’t’aliu’l a’a’lim. Anna fulaanan z’alamanee wa aadhaanee, wa laa yash-hadu bidhaalika ghairak. Allaahumma innaka maalikuh. Allaahumma sarbaluhu sirbaalul hawaani, wa qammas’ahu biqamees’ir radaa.
O Allah, You are cognizant of all the hidden things of the secrets and intentions. O Allah, the oppressors are more and the helpers are less. And You are the informed One, the Knowing, that so and so has oppressed me and hurt me and except for You, none is a witness upon that. O Allah indeed You are the owner. O Allah, degrade him absolutely and strip him off his oppressions.
Then say:
Fa-akhadha humullaahu bidhunoobihim wa maa kaana lahum minallaahi minw waaq.
But Allah destroyed them for their sins; and there was not for them any defender against Allah.[6]Surah Momin 40:21
Then he would be destroyed by it that same day, if Allah wills.[7]Al-Misbah, Vol. 1, Pg. 402

Zamakhshari has mentioned in Rabiul Abrar that a man complained to al-Hasan (a.s.) that a person had oppressed him. The Imam said: When you pray two units of prayer after the evening (Maghrib) prayer, go into prostration and say:
Yaa shadeedal mih’aali, yaa a’zeezu adhlillata bi-i’zzatika jameea’ min khalaqta fas’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aalihi wakfinee mau-nata fulaanim bimaa shi-t.
O One most difficult to comprehend, O Powerful One, by Your power You suppress all those You have created. Then bless Muhammad and his progeny and save me from the evil of so and so by whatever You wish.
Before he even realizes it, there would be a scream in the house of the oppressor. Shaykh Mufid has also mentioned this narration with the following words:
Yaa dhal quwwatil qaweeyati, yaa dhal i’zzatillatee kullu khalqika lahaa dhaleel. ikfinee haadhat’ t’aaghiyati wan taqim lee minhu.
O One with a strong might, and O one with might with which everything that You created is debased. Save me from this tyrant and take my revenge from him.[8] Nuzhat al-Jalees, Vol. 2, Pg. 472

Reciting Bismillah for removing difficulties and for destruction of the oppressor
It is quoted from some scholars that one who is involved in problems and calamities and desires to escape from them, he should recite 19 times after every ritual prayer:
Najaatum minka yaa sayyidil kareem. Najjinaa wa khallis’naa bih’aqqi bismillaahir rah’maanir rah’eem.
Salvation is from You, O Kind Chief, save us and release us by the right of: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
When he recites it 786 times it would be complete and perfect.
For release from the oppressor and achieving important objects recite the following 73 times in a single sitting facing the Qibla and having ritual purity, and after completing it, he should recite Salawat three times and then ask for ones needs; they would be fulfilled soon, if Allah wills. Recite Ayatul Kursi for seven days, at sunrise, facing the Qibla before speaking to anyone 21 times. When you reach “ya’lamu maa baina” point in the direction of the enemy, and there is no doubt that he will be destroyed. And when you reach “yashfa-u’ I’ndahu” make intention of gaining the affection of that person, and there is no doubt that he would obtain his affection. It is acknowledged to be effective with the condition that it should be strictly for permissible matters.[2] As-Sahifa, Supplications of al-Imam Ali (a.s.), Pg. 126

Supplication for removing sorrows
Allaahumma yaa faarijal hammi, wa munaffisal ghammee. Wa mudh-hibal ah’zaani wa mujeeba da’watil muz”t’arreen. Yaa rah’maanud dunyaa wal aakhirati wa rah’eemahumaa. Anta rah’maanee wa rah’maanu kulli shai-in farh’amnee rah’matan tughneenee bihaa a’nr rah’mati mIn siwaaka wa taqz”ee bihaa dainee.
O Allah, O remover of sorrow, and the dispeller of sadness, and the curer of griefs and the answerer of prayers of the troubled ones, O Beneficent one of the world and the hereafter and the forgiver of the two. You are Beneficent for me and Beneficent for everything. Then give me such a mercy that I become needless of all mercy from others than You. And through it liquidate my debts.
Allaahumma aghninee bih’alaalika a’n h’araamika bifaz”lika a’mman siwaaka yaa arh’amar raah’imeen.
O Allah, make me self-sufficient by Your permissible from Your prohibited and through Your grace from those other than You. O the best of the merciful ones.

For avoiding disputes and fulfillment of desires
Recite the following 970 times: كهيعص (Kaaf Haa Yaa A’in S’aad) Recite the letters of the words separately ك هـ ي ع ص Kaaf – Haa – Yaa – A’in – S’aad.

If he is able to, he must accompany it by the word:حمعسق (H’aa Meem A’in Seen Qaaf) and recite both the words in a single sitting 2500 time then recite the prayer for needs and it is proven effective.

Another Supplication

O One Who is not asleep that he should be awakened, and One Who is never forgetful that he should be reminded, One Who is not absent that he should be waited for. O One Who is what He is. O One Who does not know what He is but that He is. O one Who does not know how He is but that He is. O Creator of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. Become a barrier between me and the one who is causing harm to me or wants to take revenge from me. Indeed You are powerful over everything.
Remember that it is a great supplication, and well known for being effective for that which you are afraid of.
[5] Al-Mukhla of Shaykh Bahai, Pg. 179

Another Supplication It is narrated from the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) that he said: One who encounters a problem in the worldly matters or those of the Hereafter, should recite three times:
Alaisallaahu bikaafin a’badu wa maa lanaa allaa natawakkalu a’lallaahi wa qad hadaanaa subulanaa wa lanas’biranna a’laa maa aadhaitumoonaa wa a’lallaahi fal yatawakkalil mutawakkiloon. Allaahumma innee anakhtu bibaabika wa awaitu ilaa fanaa-ik. Faf-a’l lee maa huwa oolaa bika birah’matika yaa arh’amar raah’imeen.
Is not Allah sufficient for His servant? And are we not supposed to rely on Allah while He has guided us on our paths, and indeed we would be patient when subjected to hardships. And upon Allah should rely the reliant ones. O Allah, I have halted at Your door and approached Your court. Then do for me what is the best of You by Your mercy, O the best of the merciful ones.

For death of the oppressor
It is narrated from Amirul Momineen (a.s.) that one who is being oppressed should perform ablution and pray 2 units of prayers and prolong the bowings and after concluding the prayer say:
Allaahumma innee maghloobun fantas’ir…
O Allah I have been overpowered, then help me,
Repeat this a thousand times and you would be helped very soon.

Sayyid Ali bin Tawus (t.s.) has mentioned in Kitabul Daroo’: One who intends to suffice his enemy should undertake on the first night of the month to look at the crescent moon and point towards the house of one from whose mischief he wants to remain safe, and say:
ayawaddu ah’adukum antakoona lahu jannatum minan nakheelinw wa aa’naabin tajreemin tah’tihal anhaaru lahu feehaa min kullith thamaraati wa as’aabahul kibaru wa lahu dhurreeyatun z”ua’faaa-A fa-as’aabahaa ii’s’aarun feehi naarun fah’taraqat…
Does one of you like that he should have a garden of palms and vines with streams flowing beneath it; he has in it all kinds of fruits; and old age has overtaken him and he has weak offspring, when, (lo!) a whirlwind with fire in it smites it so it becomes blasted.
[6] Surah Baqarah 2:266
Then say three times:
allaahumma t’ammIhu bil balaa-i t’ammanW wa a’mmahu bil balaa-i a’mmaN. IrMihi bih’ijaaratiM min sijjeelinw wa t’airin abaabeel. Yaa a’leeyU yaa a’z’eem.
O Allah, push him in the earth and bury him, make him blind by the calamities so that he becomes blind, throw at him from pebbles of baked clay and send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks. O the High and the Great!

Then he should make intention towards him for two days, he would suffice for his mischief, if Allah the High, wills. Do this at the time of new moon.
It is narrated from the Prophet (s.a.w.s.): Then say in the second and the third night, then you would succeed. If not, repeat it in the second month and if you are still not successful, repeat it in the third month, and if Allah, the Exalted wills, you will indeed succeed this time.

Prayer for help against the oppressor
8. Mujarribat al-Imamiya, Pg. 291

It is narrated from Abi Abdullah (a.s.) that he said: If you are surrounded by afflictions do not (invoke curse) pray against your companion, for even if one is oppressed, one curses and himself becomes an oppressor. Thus if you are oppressed, perform the ritual bath (Ghusl) and pray two units of prayer under open sky then recite:

O Allah, so and so son of so and so has oppressed me and there is no resort for me except You. Then remove his oppression from me. Right now, right now, right now. By the name the distressed one asks You and You remove harm from him. And You settle him in the earth and appoints Him as Your Caliph on Your creatures. Then I am also asking You to bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad that You remove for me my oppression, this moment, this moment.

You would not complete it, but you’ll see what you like most.
Prayer for beseeching
[9] Makarim al-Akhlaq, Pg. 290

It is narrated from as-Sadiq (a.s.) that he said: Perform the Wudhu properly, at any time you like, then pray two units of prayers, complete the two bowings. When you conclude it, rub your cheek on the ground while reciting:يَا رَبَّاهُ yaa rabbaahU O Lord!
Go on repeating it till you are out of breath. Then say:

O One Who destroyed the Ad first and then the Thamud and they did not survive, and the people of Nuh previously. They were of those most unjust and rebellious. They followed the passions. Then they were covered with what covers. That so and so son of so and so is unjust in what he has done to me. Then appoint on him Your promise and do not appoint for him Your forbearance, O the most proximate of the proximate ones.

Prayer of difficulties [10] Makarim al-Akhlaq, Pg. 338

Al-Kazim (a.s.) said: Pray as many rakats of Prayer as you like. When you conclude, put your cheeks and forehead on the earth and say:
Yaa quwwata kulli z”ae’e’fin yaa mudhilla kulli jabbaarin qad wah’aqqika balaghal khaufu majhoodee fafarrij a’nnee…
O strength of all the weak ones. O One who debases all the oppressors. Indeed by Your right, the fear has affected my endeavor. So remove it from me.
Recite the above three times. Then put the right cheek on the ground and say:
yaa mudhalla kulli jabbaarin yaa mui’zza kulli dhaleelin, qad wa h’aqqIka aa’yaa s’abrEE fafarrij a’nnee.
O One Who debases all the tyrants and honors all the dishonored ones, indeed by Your right, my patience has reached its limit. So remove it from me.

Recite this also three times, then put the left cheek on the earth and say in the same way three times, then put your forehead on the earth and say:
Ash-hadu anna kulla ma’boodim min tah’ti a’rshikA ilaa qaraari arz”ika baat’ilun illaa waj-haka ta’lamu kurbatee fafarrij a’nnee…
I testify that all the deities that are on the earth below Your sky are all false except Your face. You are aware of my grief. Then remove it from me.
Say this three times. Then sit down when your heart softens and say:

O Allah You are the Living, the Eternal, the High and the Great. The Creator of the living things. The giver of life and death. The Originator, for You is the kindness and for You is the praise and for you is the favor, and for You is the generosity. Your Oneness, there is no partner for You. O the One, O the Unique, O the Self-sufficient. O One Who does not beget and is not begotten. And there is none like Him. Such is Allah, my Lord.
Recite three times:
S’alli (allaahumma) a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammadis’ s’aadiqeen.
Invoke blessings (O Allah) on Muhammad and the Progeny of Muhammad, the truthful ones.
And do so and so for me.

Prayer of the oppressed
[11] Al-Mukhla of Shaykh Bahai, Pg. 186

Recite two units of prayer and recite whichever chapter of Quran you like and invoke blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad as much as you can. Then say:

O Allah, for You is the day when You will take revenge from the oppressors for the oppressed one. But my sorrow and distress overpower my patience due to delay from Your side while You indeed know that so and so has oppressed me and had been unjust to me by his power upon my weakness. Then I ask You, O Lord of Majesty (and the distributor of sustenance) and the slayer of the tyrants and the helper of the oppressed ones, that You show him Your power. I swear by You, O Lord of the Might, right now, just now.

Protection from Enemy Page Desktop
Freedon from Captivity Desktop
From Tafseer Imam Hassan (as) book
The Prophet(saws) told Zaid (r.a.): If you desire to be protected from their harmful plots, recite the following Du’a everyday early in the morning:
a’oodhu billaahi minash shaitaanir rajeem
By the blessing of these words, Almighty Allah will protect you from their evil. No doubt, these hypocrites are like devils, who talk flatteringly to deceive. But if you want to be protected from drowning, fire and loss of property, recite this supplication every morning:
In the name of Allah, as Allah willed – None removes the troubles except Allah. In the Name of Allah, as Allah willed. None sends any good except Allah. In the Name of Allah, as Allah willed, there is no power and strength except with Allah, the High and Mighty. In the Name of Allah, as Allah willed, and may Allah bless Muhammad and his pure progeny.
One, who recites this prayer thrice in the morning, will be protected from drowning, burning and theft, until the evening, and if one recites it in the evening, he will be safe from these calamities until the morning next. Then the Holy prophet (s.aw.a.s) said: every year during the Hajj, Al-Khidhr and Ilyas (a.s) meet one another, and when they depart.

The Imam Hassan Al Askari(as) ’s Amulet from this book

Imam Abu Muhammad (a.s.) suffered different kinds of oppression and cruelty during the reign of al-Mutawakkil and other Abbasid kings whom the imam was contemporary with. Therefore, he resorted to Allah to protect him from their plots and save him from their evils. He armed himself with this du’a:
“I have charmed myself with the charm of Allah; the light by which He has hidden from eyes, and taken precaution for my self, family, children, properties, and all that under my charge by the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, and sought refuge for myself and all that from what I fear and beware of with Allah Who (there is no god but Him, the Everliving, the Eternal.
Slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission?
He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great),[1]
(And who is more unjust than he who is reminded of the signs of his Lord, then he turns away from them and forgets what his two hands have sent before? Surely We have placed veils over their hearts lest they should understand it and a heaviness in their ears; and if you call them to the guidance, they will not ever follow the right course in that case),[2]
(Have you seen him who makes his desire his god, and Allah sends him astray purposely, and seals up his hearing and his heart, and sets on his sight a covering? Then who will lead him after Allah (has condemned him)? Will ye not then heed?),[3]
(These are they on whose hearts and their hearing and their eyes Allah has set a seal, and these are the heedless ones),[4]
(And when you recite the Qur’an, We place between you and those who do not believe in the hereafter a hidden barrier. And We have placed coverings on their hearts and a heaviness in their ears lest they understand it, and when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur’an they turn their backs in aversion),[5]
and may Allah have blessings on Muhammad and on his pure progeny…”[6]

This du’a shows the extent of the fears the imam (a.s.) faced from the Abbasids, and therefore, he resorted to Allah to save him and his family from their (the Abbasid’s) oppression and plotting.

He also protected himself from the Abbasids by this du’a:
“O You, my means at my distress, O You, my succor at my grief, O You, my relief at my loneliness, guard me by Your eye that does not sleep, and shield me by Your shelter that is unreachable.’[1]
[1] Muhaj ad-Da’awat, p.45.

Persecuting The People Of Qum
The Abbasids persecuted the people of Qum and treated them with oppression and terror. They appointed Musa bin Yahya, who was wicked and unjust, as wali over them. He was impolite, immoral, and inhuman that people desisted from him. He treated people in a very bad way and exaggerated in oppressing them until the notables of Qum resorted to Imam Abu Muhammad (a.s.) complaining to him at what that tyrant did to them.
The imam prayed to Allah the Almighty to save them from the evil of that mean, oppressive wali, and taught them this du’a and asked them to recite it in the qunut of their prayers so that Allah might relieve them from this calamity:
“Praise be to Allah as gratefulness to his blessings, calling for His more, imploring His livelihood, being loyal to Him and not to other than Him, and refraining from disbelieving in Him and denying His might and exaltedness, a praise of one who knows that all the blessings he has are from his Lord, and the punishments that afflict him are for the wrongs his hands have committed, and the blessings of Allah be on Muhammad His slave and messenger, and the best of His creation, and the means of believers towards His mercy, and (blessings be) on his pure progeny who are his guardians.
O Allah, You have called (Your people) for Your favor, and ordered (them) to supplicate You, and You have insured response to Your people. You have not disappointed whoever resorted to You with a wish and turned to You with a need.
You have not let any asking hand come back empty from Your gift or desperate of Your donation. Was there any traveler who traveled to You and did not find You near, or a comer who came to You and You put obstacles between You and him?! Was there any insister on asking You that the flow of Your favor did not include him…?
O Allah, I come to You with my wish, the hand of my request knocks at the door of Your favor, my heart invokes You with the reverence of submission, and I found You the best intercessor for me with You. You know my request before it comes to my mind or gets in my imagination. O Allah, so complete my du’a by Your response to me and meet my request by the satisfying of my wish!
O Allah, the aberration of seditions has included us, the haze of confusion has overcome us, meanness and lowness have fought with us, the untrustworthy on Your religion have ruled over us, the wicked, who have annulled Your rule, have extorted our affairs and tried to damage Your people and corrupt Your land.
O Allah, our wealth is appropriated after it was distributed (among all), and our rule has become domination after it was shura (consultation) and monarchy after it was the nation’s option; amusements and musicals have been bought by the shares of orphans and widows, non-Muslims rule over the believers, and sinners have been entrusted with their (people’s) affairs, and no protector protected them from a danger, and no guardian looked at them with the eye of mercifulness, and no kind one satisfied the thirsty hearts from a famine, and so they are weak and hungry in a home of loss, captives of wretchedness, inheritors of melancholy, meanness…
O Allah, the plant of falseness has come to harvest, reached its full, its stick has become firm…its branches have gone high and fixed.
O Allah, bring, from the truth, its reaper to reap it, break its stock, smash its branches, cut off its hump, and amputate its extents, so that falseness, with its ugly picture, disappears, and truth, with its beautiful dress, appears.
O Allah, let no pillar of oppression, but You tear it down, no shield, but You expose it, no unity, but You separate it, no heavy force, but You slight it, no high rank, but You make it low, no post of a banner, but You turn it over, and no lively thing, but You perish it.
O Allah, cover his[1] sun, put out his light, efface his mention, hit, by the truth, his head, scatter his armies, and frighten the hearts of his people!
O Allah, do not let a remainder of him, unless it is annihilated, nor a structure unless it is torn down, nor a unity unless it is broken, nor an arm unless it is disabled, nor a boundary unless it is violated, nor a flagpole unless it is overthrown!
O Allah, show us his supporters scattered after affinity, separate after unity, and disgraced after their domination over the nation!
O Allah, bring us the day of justice, and show it to us eternal with no darkness in it, and pure light with no mix with it, and make its goodness fall down on us, and its blessing come down on us, and avenge on his[2]opponent, and support him over his enemy!
O Allah, show the truth,[3] and make it shine in the dusk of darkness, and ambiguity of confusion!
O Allah, enliven by it the dead hearts, unite by it the separate desires and different opinions, establish by it the annulled penalties and neglected rulings, satiate by it the hungry stomachs, relieve by it the weak and tired bodies, as You made us mention it, and put into our mind Your supplicating, made us successful in calling for it, and keeping the people of ignorance away from it, house in our hearts its love, and eagerness to it, and expecting it to establish its ceremonies!
O Allah, give us best certainty on it, O You, the Achiever of good wills, the Attainer of delayed hopes. O Allah, refute the fabricators who fabricate against You in it, and confute the suspicions of the desperate of Your mercy and desperate of it!
O Allah, make us a means of its means, a figure of its figures, a fort of its forts, and brighten our faces with its bright, honor us by its support, and make our intention good…
O Allah, You have made us know our selves, and see our defects that we fear not to be able to respond to You, while You favor those who do not deserve, and bestow on requesters before they request, so give us due to Your generosity and favor, for You do what You like, and determine as You want, and we have resorted to You, and repented of our sins.
O Allah,…and the caller for You, the doer of justice from Your people, the poor to Your mercy, and the needy to Your help on Your obedience…You have given him your blessing, dressed him with the dresses of Your honor, thrown on him the love of Your obedience, fixed his love in the hearts, made him successful to do Your command that the people of his time are indifferent of, made him a resort to the wronged of Your people, and a support to those who do not find a supporter save You, and a restorer of what has been annulled of the verdicts of Your Book, and a builder of what has been ruined of the laws of Your religion, and the rulings of Your Prophet, Your blessing, peace, and mercy be on him and on his progeny. O Allah, make him safe from the plotting of enemies…and take him to the best that You have taken the doers of Your justice from among the successors of prophets. O Allah, degrade by him whoever does not turn back to Your love, and whoever bears enmity against him, and shoot by Your deadly stone whoever incites against Your religion by degrading him and scattering his power…
O Allah, as he has made himself as a target to the far for the sake of You, and sacrificed his soul to defend the believers, and resist the evil of suspicious apostates until he shall remove spread disobediences, and show what ulama have left behind their backs whereas they have covenanted to declare it for people and not to conceal it, and he shall call for the obedience of You alone, without making a partner to You from Your creation that his command may be over Yours…O Allah, assist him by Your victory, enable him in what he is unable in, increase his power from Your assistance…
O Allah, honor him with the doing of Your command to see the standing of Reckoning as it is, delight Your Prophet (Your blessings be on him) by seeing him and whoever follows him in his mission, reward him with the best for doing Your command, take him closer to You in his life, and pity our wretchedness…O Allah, make him safe from what is feared for him, drive away from him the arrows of plotting that the people of grudge throw at him and at the participant in his matter and his assistants on the obedience of Allah Whom You have made as his fort, resort, and comfort and who leave their families and children and country, give up comfortable beds and ease, stop their trades, harm their livings…and rejected the transient pleasures of this world. O Allah, keep them in Your safety and protection, defend them against whoever has enmity against them from Your people, suffice them and provide them with Your help, assistance, and victory, defeat, by their right, the falseness of whoever wants to put out Your light. O Allah, fill by them every horizon and every country with justice, fairness, mercifulness, and virtue, and thank them due to Your generosity and bounty with what You have bestowed on the doers of justice from Your people, and saved for them from Your reward that might raise in degrees, You do whatever You like, and determine whatever You want…’[1]
