Supplication no. 56 for concealment from enemy
دعاؤه في الاحتجاب عن العدو

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشاءُ وَ تَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشاءُ
Qulillahumma Malikal-mulki tu’til-mulka man tasha’u wa tanzi’ul-mulka mimman tasha’u
Say: "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will."

وَ تُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشاءُ وَ تُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشاءُ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ اِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَديرٌ
Wa tu'izzu man tasha'u wa tudhillu man tasha'u, bi-yadikal-khayru innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir
"You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent."

تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهارِ وَ تُولِجُ النَّهارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ
Tulijul-layla fin-nahari wa tulijun-nahara fil-layl
"You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night."

وَ تُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَ تُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَىِّ وَ تَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسابٍ
Wa tukhrijul-hayya minal-mayyiti wa tukhrijul-mayyita minal-hayyi wa tarzuqu man tasha'u bi-ghayri hisab
"And You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."

اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.

خَضَعَتِ الْبَرِيَّةُ لِعَظَمَةِ جَلالِهِ اَجْمَعُونَ
Khada'atil-bariyyatu li-azamati jalalihi ajma'un
All of creation has submitted to the greatness of His majesty.

وَ ذَلَّ لِعَظَمَةِ عِزِّهِ كُلُّ مُتَعاظِمٍ مِنْهُمْ
Wa dhalla li-azamati 'izzihi kullu muta'adhimin minhum
And every arrogant one among them has been humbled before the greatness of His might.

وَ لايَجِدُ اَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ اِلَيَّ مُخْلَصاً
Wa la yajidu ahadun minhum ilayya mukhlasan
And none of them shall find a way to reach me.

بَلْ يَجْعَلُهُمُ اللَّهُ شارِدينَ مُتَمَزِّقينَ في عِزِّ طُغْيانِهِمْ هالِكينَ
Bal yaj'aluhumullahu sharidina mutamazziqina fi 'izzi tughyanihim halikin
Rather, Allah makes them scattered and torn apart, perishing in the peak of their transgression.

بِقُلْ اَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ، مِنْ شَرِّ ما خَلَقَ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ غاسِقٍ اِذا وَقَبَ
Bi-qul a'udhu bi-rabbil-falaq, min sharri ma khalaq, wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab
With "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles."

وَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ، وَ مِنْ شَرِّ حاسِدٍ اِذا حَسَدَ
Wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad
"And from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies."

وَ بِقُلْ اَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ، مَلِكِ النَّاسِ، اِلهِ النَّاسِ
Wa bi-qul a'udhu bi-rabbin-nas, malikin-nas, ilahin-nas
And with "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind."

مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْواسِ الْخَنَّاسِ، الَّذي يُوَسْوِسُ في صُدُورِ النَّاسِ، مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ
Min sharril-waswasil-khannas, alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas, minal-jinnati wan-nas
"From the evil of the retreating whisperer, who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind."

اِنْغَلَقَ عَنّي بابُ الْمُسْتَأْخِرينَ مِنْكُمْ وَ الْمُسْتَقْدِمينَ
Inghalaqa 'anni babul-musta'khirina minkum wal-mustaqdimin
The door of those among you who follow or precede has been closed to me.

فَهُمْ ضالُّونَ مَطْرُودُونَ بِالصَّافَّاتِ، بِالذَّارِياتِ، بِالْمُرْسَلاتِ، بِالنَّازِعاتِ
Fahum dalluna matruduna bis-saffat, bidh-dhariyat, bil-mursalat, bin-nazi'at
For they are astray and driven away, by the ranks [of angels], the scatterers, the emissaries, and the extractors.

اَزْجُرُكُمْ عَنِ الْحَرَكاتِ، كُونُوا رَماداً لاتَبْسُطُوا اِلَيَّ وَ لا اِلى مُؤْمِنٍ يَداً
Azjurukum 'anil-harakat, kunu ramadan la tabsutu ilayya wa la ila mu'minin yadan
I restrain you from any movement; be like ashes, and do not stretch out a hand toward me nor toward any believer.

اَلْيَوْمَ تَخْتِمُ عَلى اَفْواهِهِمْ وَ تُكَلِّمُنا اَيْديهِمْ وَ تَشْهَدُ اَرْجُلُهُمْ بِما كانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Al-yawma nakhtimu 'ala afwahihim wa tukallimuna aydihim wa tash-hadu arjuluhum bima kanu yaksibun
This day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to what they used to earn.

هذا يَوْمُ لايَنْطِقُونَ وَ لا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
Hadha yawmu la yantiqun, wa la yu'dhanu lahum fa ya'tadhirun
This is a Day they will not speak, nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

اَللَّهُمَّ بِالْمِيمِ وَ الْعَيْنِ وَ الْفَاءِ وَ الْحَائَيْنِ
Allahumma bil-mimi wal-'ayni wal-fa'i wal-ha'ayn
O Allah, by the [letters] M, ‘A, F, and the two H's.

بِنُورِ الْاَشْباحِ وَ بِتَلَأْلُؤِ ضِياءِ الْاِصْباحِ، وَ بِتَقْديرِكَ لي، يا قَديرُ فِي الْغُدُوِّ وَ الرَّواحِ
Bi-nuril-ashbahi wa bi-tala'lu'i diya'il-isbah, wa bi-taqdirika li, ya Qadiru fil-ghuduwwi war-rawah
By the light of the souls and the radiance of the morning light, and by Your decree for me, O Powerful One, in the morning and the evening.

اِكْفِني شَرَّ مَنْ دَبَّ وَ مَشى وَ تَجَبَّرَ وَ عَتى
Ikfini sharra man dabba wa masha wa tajabbara wa 'ata
Suffice me against the evil of whatever creeps or walks, and whoever acts arrogantly or rebels.

نَصْرٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ فَتْحٌ قَريبٌ، اِنْ يَنْصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلاغالِبَ لَكُمْ
Nasrun minallahi wa fatihun qarib, in yansurkumullahu fala ghaliba lakum
Victory from Allah and a near conquest; if Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you.

كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَاَغْلِبَنَّ اَنَا وَ رُسُلي اِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزيزٌ
Kataballahu la-aghlibanna ana wa rusuli, innallaha qawiyyun 'aziz
Allah has written: "I will surely overcome, I and My messengers." Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

لاحَوْلَ وَ لاقُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظيمِ
La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-'aliyyil-'adhim
There is no power or might except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.




All 3 duas

His supplication 68 for averting the trap of the enemies
اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُذُبِكَ مِنْ اَنْ اُضَامَ فِىْ سُلْطَانِك
allaahumma innee a-o'od'u bika min an uz'lama fee sultaanika
O Allah, I take refuge with You for the reason that: Would I be persecuted inspite of Your absolute sovereignty?

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُذُبِكَ اَنْ اَضِلَّ هُدَاكَ
allaahumma innee a-o'od'u bika an az'illa hudaaka
O Allah, I take refuge with You for the reason that: Would I go astray inspite of Your guidance?

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُذُبِكَ اَنْ اَفْتَقِرَ فِىْ غِنَاكَ
allaahumma innee a-o'o'd'u bika an aftaqira fee ghinaaka
O Allah, I take refuge with You for the reason that: Would I be deprived inspite of your abundance

اللهم إني أعوذ بك أن أضيع في سلامتك،
allaahumma innee a-o'od'u bika an uz'ayya-a fee salaamatika
O Allah, I take refuge with You for the reason that: Would I be ruined inspite of Your security?

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُذُبِكَ اَنْ اُغْلَبَ وَالْاَمْرُ لَكَ وَاِلَيْكَ
allaahumma innee a-o'od'u bika an ughlaba wal amru laka wa ilayka
O Allah, I take refuge with You fro the reason that: Would I be overpowered, inspite of the fact that occurrence of every affair is on account of You and (it turns back) in the direction of You.

Alternate Translation
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. O Allah I seek refuge from You that no one from Your kingdom oppresses me. O Allah I seek proximity with You till the time Your guidance, guides me I deviate. O Allah I seek nearness with You that inspite of Your safety I be ruined. O Allah I seek closeness to You that I be firm and stable in Your domain when the law and order is Yours and it is Your Power and strength


70. His supplication 70 on gaining victory over the enemies
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ. وَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَ لاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِيْمِ اَللَّهُمَّ اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَ اِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ
Bismillaahir rah’maanir rah’eem. Wa laa h’aula wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil a’leeyil a’z’eem. Allaahumma iyyaaka na’budu wa iyyaaka nastae’e’n.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. And there is no strength or power except with Allah, the Great and High. O Allah we worship You and from You only we seek help.

يَا اَللهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيْمُ يَا اَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ يَا اِلٰهَ مُحَمَّدٍ
yaa allaahu yaa rah’maanu yaa rah’eemu yaa ah’adu yaa s’amadu yaa ilaaha muh’ammadin
O Allah! O Merciful! O Compassionate! O the one! O the self-sufficient! O God of Muhammad! (Peace of Allah be on him and his progeny).

اِلَيْك نُقِلَتِ اْلاَقْدَامُ وَ اَفَضَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ وَ شَخَصَتِ اْلاَبْصَارُ وَ مُدَّتِ اْلاَعْنَاقُ وَ طُلِبَتِ الْحَوَآئِجُ وَ رُفِعَتِ اْلاَيْدِیْ
ilaika nuqilatil aqdaamu wa afaz”atil quloobu wa shakhas’atil abs’aaru wa muddatil aa’naaqu wa t’ulbatil h’awaa-iju wa rufia’til aidee
In Your domain feet are moving ahead and with the presence of heart, eyes are awaiting, necks are stretched high, where desires are asked and hands are lifted.

اَللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَ اَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِيْنَ.
allaahummaftah’ bainanaa wa baina qauminaa bil h’aqqi wa anta khairul faatih’een.
O Allah! You judge between us and our nation with truth, as You are the best of the judges.

Then repeat three times.
لاَ اِلٰهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ.
Laa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu Akbar.
There is no god except Allah and Allah is great.

75.His supplication when he used to fight the enemy
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَفْضَتِ الْقُلُوبُ، وَمُدَّتِ الأَعْنَاقُ، وَشَخَصَتِ الأَبْصَارُ، وَنُقِلَتِ الأَقْدَامُ، وَأُنْضِيَتِ الأَبْدَانُ.
اللَّهُمَّ قَدْ صَرَّحَ مَكْنُونُ الشَّنَآنِ، وَجَاشَتْ مَرَاجِلُ الأَضْغَانِ،
O Allah! My heart is present in Your Domain and the head is lowed down and eyes are fixed at You, feet are trembling and the body has become weak, old enmities are manifested; pots of malice are boiling out.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَشْكُو إِلَيْكَ غَيْبَةَ نَبِيِّنَا، وَكَثْرَةَ عَدُوِّنَا، وَتَشَتُّتَ أَهْوَائِنَا،
O Allah! I complain to You of the departure of our Prophet and the abundance of the enemies, and the colourful desires.

رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْـحَقِّ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ.
O Allah! Grant truth a victory between me and my enemies, as You are the best of those who bestow victory.
