that I have found in the old book of our companions as follows:
“Praise be to God, Who completed my fasting on the days of the honorable month without me violating any of my fast. He helped me turn to His Obedience without any turning away. He helped me confess to my sins without insisting on sinning. He made sure I benefit from His Forgiveness of my faults. He granted me success to stay up at nights to pray and recite supplications. I ask Him to forgive and cover up my faults. I seek nearness to Him using His Names and seek His Intercession using His Bounties and express humbleness to His Magnificence. Blessed is His Name for all that He removes from me with the power of hope and aspiration - regarding doubting His Mercy. So that I cry and He directs me to His Kindness and Love with trust in His Benevolence and Kindness. O‟ my God! This is Your Month that is finished and gone. It is the fasting that has completed and finished. It came but our souls detested it for the sake of their pleasures and their dislike of abandoning their bad habits. However, once it arrived, it humbled us with having to obey it, and let us move along and ask for its mercy. Then our fasting in the days were mentioned to You and our staying up at nights was shown to You. The hearts feared, the sins left, the faces humbled, and the hands were raised to express sorrow for faults, confess to sins, ask for pardoning of wrongdoings, expression of frivolties and request for toleration of mischief. Then You had Mercy, were Kind, covered up, forgave, overlooked and bestowed. Then we liked Ramadhan
and became accustomed to it and became sad when we had to depart from it. Then peace be on the month I say farewell to which I have entrusted good deeds, the month that made me closer to You, the month that brought me Booties due to Your Favor, and eliminated my past disgrace near You, removed many abominable things, expanded good deeds, developed benefits, and increased its gifts: A farewell with what leaves behind its good, helped with its blessedness and bestowed its gifts. O‟ my God! All my praise belongs to You – praise from one who does not fool himself with restlessness, does not deny the blessings that You bestowed on him or hindered from him, and asks You to keep him away from the slippages and help him completely staying away from them. Please accept it from me by easing what can bring me close to Your Kind Pleasure. Please look upon me as one who looks kindly. O‟ Full of Kindness, Most Merciful! O‟ my God! Please let Your Forgiveness follow me after this month. Please secure me from Your Punishment from which I fear. Please protect me from the various chastisements I evade. Please let its end be good for me with the gifts You bestow on me. Please intercede regarding what I demand, alleviate my poverty, fend off my misery, approach my prosperity, and fill my hands with good deeds in both worlds - with the best of what You fill the hands of those who ask, and fulfill the hopes of those who have hopes. And grant me Your Forgiveness and Pleasure regarding my parents and all the believing men and women, and mention them nicely so as to bestow on their souls the joy of Your Pleasure, let them taste the sweetness of Your Forgiveness, and let them enjoy the Gardens of Your Paradise under the shade of its trees, and besides its rivers, with the various fruits, much of its good, balanced meals, various pleasures, and outstanding blessings. Please let us live to see this month next year by destroying our sins and faults and let it be a path, and a guide for us towards You. O‟ the Most Powerful! O‟ the Most Benevolent of those who are asked! O‟ my God! All exaltation, praise, glorifications, expression of Your Might, confession to Your Oneness, pleasing You by turning to You, and turning towards Your glorifications were only made possible by Your Help. All praise belongs to You. O‟ He who destines what pleases You although we have not even thanked You for Your smallest blessings. You established a right for Your Prophet Muhammad (as) for his guidance, messengership and advice by which You honored him and ordered us.
O‟ my God! You have let him be a signpost to guide us, a path towards You, a resting place and shelter from Your Wrath, an honored interceder on our behalf. We cannot recompense him except through You, and cannot rely on anyone but
You from his punishment. We have failed to properly honor his right with our wealth and life. He was abstinent and was not inclined to this world and we are not able to fulfill his right.
Please bestow on him the best of Your Blessings and the purest of Your Greetings. O‟ my God! Please bestow blessings on him – blessings with which You bestow Your most Honorable Gifts, Your Noblest Grants, Extensive Goods, and Easy Donations. Such extensive and apparent Blessings that do not end or weaken. Such continous Blessings that do not get interrupted or stopped. Such consecutive and connected blessings that do not get dispersed or disconnected. Such blessings that are continous, consecutive, multiplying, increasing, as heavy as the mountains, as many in number as the pieces of sand. Such blessings that flow along with the stars in the sky, with the power with which the heavens are raised above.
Such as the blessings by the wind, stars, suns, clouds, leaves of the trees, words of men, glorifications of all the creatures from the past and the rest including those to be created up until the Day of Religion. Then I send it to the One all the people of the world know – God who has no end, no extent and no limit. O‟ my God! Please let this reach Muhammad and his Progeny (as) – the immaculate, on his forefathers, and the forefathers of Abraham (as), Ishmael (as) and Issac (as), and on all the Prophets (as), the martyrs and the righteous ones, and on Gabriel, Michael, the bearers of Your Throne, and the angels – may Your Blessings be upon them all. „ (Allah) sufficeth me: there is no God but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!‟1

All praise be to Allah. There is no partner with Him.
wal-inabata walttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu
turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.
Say the following while you are standing, sitting, bowing down or in prostration.
“O‟ Director of all affairs! O‟ Resurrector of the dead from the graves. O‟ He who makes rivers flow! O‟ He who melted the iron for David (MGB)! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB). Please fulfill such and such things for me at this very hour and this very night.” (repeat it until you run out of breath)
Additions not in the narration: “O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB). Please let me be one of those people who benefit the most from all the good that You have sent or shall send down on this night including light by which to be guided, mercy that You distribute sustenance that You provide, calamities that You fend off, or ailments that You remove. And please write down for me what You write down for Your Servants in the ranks of the righteous during it who deserve Your Rewards and by Your Pleasure are secure from Chastisement. O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ the All-Generous! O‟ the All-Generous! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and His Progeny (MGB) as do such and such things for me by Your Mercy . O‟ God! Please bless me with protection, repentance, turning back to You, and adhering to the Mastery of Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) after the end of the month of Ramadhan. Please favor me for as long as I live with Your Remembrance, thanking You for being inclined to You, being steadfast on Your Religion, and give me success as You gave Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) success. O‟ my God! Indeed You have said the following in Your revealed book, and indeed whatever you say is right, „Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur‟an, …‟1 And now the month of Ramadhan has ended and its days and nights have all passed. So I ask You by Your Noble Face, and Your Perfect Words, and by Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) that if I am still liable for a sin which You have not forgiven that You want to hold me accountable for, punish me for, or judge me with; I ask You to not let this night pass – O‟ Most Compassionate Most Merciful – O‟ He who melted the iron for David (MGB), O‟ He who removed troubles from Muhammad (MGB), responds to my prayer, fulfills my needs and turns all of my selfish desires pleasing to You. Let all acts of Your Obedience be pleasant to me even if what I desire is incompatible with what You love or dislike, so that I may follow, obey and listen to all Your Orders and abstain from all that You have admonished against. So that I may be pleased with all that You have destined for me and thank You for all Your Blessings. So that I remember You in all conditions – in well-being or in calamities, in hardship or ease, and in anger or happiness. O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB). Please look upon me with Your Mercy, Honor and Nobility regarding all my affairs, and give me strength to do what You have ordered me to do and help me do all You have made obligatory. Please increase my insight and certitude regarding all Your Bounties near me and Blessings given to me that You let me know about and Your Kindness to me, and Your Favors for me. O‟ my God! I ask You for my great needs! If You grant it to me, nothing withheld from me will cause me harm; and if You hold it back from me, nothing granted to me will profit me. I ask You to grant me release from the Hell-fire. O‟ my Master! Please have Mercy on me regarding the chains, yokes and blazing Fire! Please have Mercy on me regarding Zaqqum1 food and burning drink. Please have mercy on me regarding Hell as its torture is eternal, continous and everlasting. Do not punish me while I ask You to forgive me. Do not deprive me while I beg of You. I ask You for Paradise and whatever lies therein. O‟ my God! I take refuge in You from the Fire and whatever is in it. O‟ my God! Please join me in wedlock with the green-eyed Houris. Please establish me amongst those who believe in the Resurrection Day. „Truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that You dost send me!‟2 Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB). And please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) and start with Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB) all the goodness for this world and the Hereafter.‟
4.Popular DAY Dua 30th
5.Day Dua II- Iqbal Aamal-30th
The Prayer for the Thirtieth Night
Ja‟far ibn Muhammad al-Duristy narrated in the book Kitab al-Husna, on the authority of the Prophet (MGB): “Whoever says ten units of prayers on the last night of Ramadhan, and in each unit recites the Opening Chapter once, „Say: He is Allah, the One and Only‟1 ten times, and says the following ten times while bowing down and prostrating, „Glory be to God and Praise be to Him‟ and „There is no God but God.‟ And „God is the Great.‟ After each two units he says the testimonials2 and salutations3. Once finished saying the last ten units, says the following, „Say “I ask God for forgiveness‟ a thousand times. And says the following while he is prostrating after he fininshes, „O‟ the Living! O‟ the Eternal! O‟ Lord of Majesty, Bounty and Honor! O‟ Compassionate in this world and the Hereafter and the Merciful! O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. O‟ Lord of the first and the last generations. Please forgive our sins, and accept our prayers, fasting and waking up at nights.‟ ”
The Prophet (MGB) said, “I swear by Him who rightfully appointed me that Gabriel informed me, on the authority of Israfil, on the authority of his Lord – the Blessed the Sublime that he shall not raise his head from prostration until God forgives him and accepts the deeds of the month of Ramadhan from him, overlooks all his sins even if he has committed seventy sins each of which are greater than all the sins of other servants. God will also accept the deeds of the people of his town.” Then the Prophet (MGB) asked Gabriel, “O‟ Gabriel! Would God accept the deeds for the month of Ramadhan from him and the people of his town?” Gabriel answered, “Yes. I swear by Him who appointed you. This is due to his high nobility and rank near Him. God would accept his deeds, prayers and acts of worship as well as theirs. He would forgive their sins, and fulfill their supplications.”
The Prophet (MGB) added, “I swear by Him who rightfully appointed me that whoever says this prayer and asks for forgiveness using this form of asking for forgiveness, God would accept his prayer, fasting and staying up. He would also forgive him and fulfill his supplications. Verily the Blessed the Sublime God says in His Book, … „Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving.‟1 And says, „But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance).‟2 And says, „And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins,- and who can forgive sins except Allah.‟3 And the Honorable the Exalted God says, “(And to preach thus), „Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding grace on all who abound in merit!‟4 And the Honorable the Exalted God says, „…and pray for His Forgiveness: For He is Oft-Returning (in Grace and Mercy).‟ ”5 Then the Prophet (MGB) said, “This is an especial gift granted to me and the men and women of my nation. The Honorable the Exalted God has not granted it to any of the previous Prophets (MGB) or anyone else.
It has been narrated that it is recommended to recite the Chapters Al-An‟am, Al-Kahaf, and Ya-Sin on the last night of the month of Ramadhan and ask God for forgiveness and express repentance one-hundred times.
A Point about Saying Goodbye to the Month of Ramadhan
If one asks and says: “What is the meaning of saying goodbye to the month of Ramadhan although the month of Ramadhan is lifeless, we say that: „The wise people before the Prophet (MGB), at his time and later always speak with the land, the homeland, youth, good times, safety and goodness. When Islamic literature appeared, it approved what the intellect and understanding decree given the fact that even the Holy Qur‟an used the same style where the Honorable the Exalted God says: “One Day We will ask Hell, “Art You filled to the full?” It will say,“Are there any more (to come)?”1 As you consider, the Noble Qur‟an informs them that Hell spoke. And the meaning of this is that it spoke with the mute tongue. There are many similar instances to this in the Noble Qur‟an, in the words of the Noble Prophet (MGB) and the Divine Leaders (MGB) - may God‟s greetings be upon them – and the words of the learned ones. And there is no need to elongate this for the wise people. Based upon this, also the mute tongue of those who pay attention to the month of Ramadhan from among the believers and the Muslims do better than those who addressed the lands and the homelands. They benefit more from it than their relatives and the month of Ramadhan is more important to them than lands and art works. Now they are forced to say farewell to it at the time of separating from the month of Ramadhan.
Saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan needs more explanation since those who say farewell to it are in several groups as follows.
One group of them pursue attaining God‟s Wants and observe the etiquette of this month in public and private. They say farewell to the month of fasting like those who were loyal and kept their promise. They do so as the farewell supplications of our Master Zayn al-Abedin (MGB) with the month of Ramadhan are.
Another group have acted according to God‟s Wants sometimes and have kept distance with its requirements with negligence or disobedience at other times. They should not say farewell to this month if they have not observed the fasting etiquette at its end since those who are separate from each other never say farewell to each other. The mind and the intellect require that one should say farewell to those who are in agreement with us. However, if they were behaving well when the month of Ramadhan ends, then they may say farewell to it to according to how much they respected it. Moreover, they should ask for forgiveness from God, become regretful for how they were in that month, and at the time of saying farewell, they should regret a lot for the fact that they have sometimes misbehaved during it.
Another group do not spend the month of Ramadhan with sincerity. Rather, some are unhappy since the month of Ramadhan prevents them from their habits of taking God‟s Remembrance lightly while God is aware of the unseen. In reality, these people were not with the month of Ramadhan to say farewell to it. Rather, when the month of Ramadhan had landed near their house, they were not a good neighbor for it. They disliked it and they treated it badly. Thus, it does not make sense for them to say farewell to the month of Ramadhan and whatever they say shall not even be heard.
O‟ man! Do not be like one to whom a needless guest enters – an important guest who has not come from there since last year – and he gives you blessings and forgiveness plus many gifts, fulfillment of your demands and attention that cannot be expressed in words. Do not be a bad host for that generous guest, do not mistreat him, debase him or treat him like a bad guest. If you do so, the guest may leave you while blaming you and you will be disgraced and regretful. Thus, either be good with him and recognize the rights of this guest who has brought along prosperity, mercy, kindness and safety from fears or at least be neutral with him. Thus, do not treat him badly and with impoliteness because you ruin yourself with your bad deeds, and you become infamous near the kings and the generous ones who have attained safety and Divine Pleasure.
Regarding the time of saying farewell with the fasting month, the following is reported on the authority of one of the Divine Leaders (MGB) in a book by a group of our scholars. It was written in a letter in which the questions of a group of the important narrators have been discussed was asked is as follows.“When is the time of saying farewell to the month of Ramadhan; because our companions have disagreement about this. Some say: “It is on its last night.” “And some say, „It is on its last day when the crescent moon of the month of Sha‟wal is seen.‟ ”
The answer: “The deeds of the month of Ramadhan are on its nights, the farewell is on its last night. However, if you fear that the month may end in less than thirty days, you should say farewell on two nights.”
This was the exact text of the narration that we had obtained and quoted. Thus, try to correct your inner self at the time of saying farewell with the month of Ramadhan since man sees his state. Choose the best time to say farewell to the virtue which existed in the month of Ramadhan. Do so in the best time on the last night as it was written in the past narration. However, if it is not possible on the last night, say farewell to it in the last moments of the last day of separating from the month of Ramadhan. Based upon this, anytime you had a good month of Ramadhan, express farewell to it on its last day or night like you say farewell to your intimate and loyal friends who recognize the right of a good guest: And regret for separating from it to the extent which you lose the benefits and rewards of a party. Cry and shed tears as you would do so when friends separate from each other after gathering together.
Al-Sheikh Ja‟far ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duristy narrated in the book Kitab al-Husna, through a chain of documents on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari: “I went to see God‟s Prophet (MGB) on the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Once he (MGB) saw me, he (MGB) said, “O‟ Jabir! This is the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan. Bid farewell to it and say the following:
„O‟ my God! Please do not make this the last month of Ramadhan in our lifetime. However, if You decide to do so, then please let me enjoy Your Mercy and do not deprive me of it.‟ ”
Indeed whoever recites this shall gain two benefits: He either lives to the next month of Ramadhan or is forgiven by God with His Mercy.
