Authenticity and answer to doubts

We have been commanded to recite this Dua regularly. Shayikh Sadooq narrates from Abdullah bin Sinan who says that Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said,"After this a time of such doubt will befall you that you will be without the visible signs and a guiding Imam. And no one shall be able to achieve salvation from this except those who recite "Dua-e-Ghareeq."
The narrator asked what this Dua was? Imam (a.s.) replied, After repeating 'Muqallebal Quloob' the narrator added the word, 'Wal absaar' (and the vision). When Imam (a.s.) heard this, he said, "Indeed Allah is the Who changes the hearts and vision, but you recite the Dua as I have said." (Kamaluddin Vol. 2 Pg. 351)

ya allahu ya rahmanu ya rahimu
O Allah! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful!

ya muqalliba alqulubi
O Turner of hearts!

thabbit qalbi `ala dinika
Keep firm my heart on your religion

Dua'a e Marefat e Imam (atfs) - short

Zurarah a companion of Imam Sadiq (as) asked “What is the best action during occultation?” Imam (as) replied Always recite the following supplication.

Allahumma a'arifni nafsak. Fa innaka in lam to arrifni nafsaka lam a'rif nabiyeka.
O Allah introduce Your self to me - For, if you do not introduce Your self to me, I will not recognize Your Prophet (saws).

Allhumma a'rifni rasoolaka fa innaka in lam to a'rifni rasoolaka, lam a'rif hujjatak.
O Allah make me recognize Your Prophet (saws) ,- because if I do not recognize Your Prophet (saws), I will not recognize Your Proof [Imam (as)].

Allahumma a'rrifni hujjatak fa innaka in lam to a'rifni hujjatak, zalal to an deeni.
O Allah make me recognize Your Proof (Imam) - For, if you do not make me recognize Your Proof , I will deviate from my religion

The Supplication During the Age of Occultation -Long version
Salat Imam Mahdi(ajtfs) and Dua Ilahi Azumal Bala
Shaykh Tabarsi (a.r.), the renowned commentator of the Holy Quran, has recorded this supplication in his book ‘Kunooz al-Najaah’ and says, ‘This supplication was taught by our master Saaheb al-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.) to Abul Hasan Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Abi al-Lais in the city of Baghdad at the Graves of Quraish ( مقابر قريش ), where the latter had taken refuge, due to fear of death. On account of the blessings of this supplication, he was saved. This dua'a is attributed to the living Imam Mehdi (atfs). It brings immediate help from our living imam. It is recommended to be recited often by Ulama .Kafami says in his book Baladul Amin that if a wrongfully confined prisoner recites this dua'a he will soon be set free.
If a person find himself surrounded by misfortunes or intrigues he must recite this dua'a to come through tight situations, deadlock and crises.

The curtain of modesty has been lifted; hope has been curtailed;

Wa daqati’l-ardu wa muni‘ati’s-sama’
The earth has been narrow; and sky has been denied.

And in You we trust in the times of difficulty.

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ali Muhammad
O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad (S) and the progeny of Muhammad (S),

Uli’l-amri’l-ladhina faradta ‘alayna ta‘atahum
The possessors of authority whose obedience you have enjoined upon us

Wa ‘arraftana bidhalika manzilatahum fafarrij ‘anna bi-haqqihim farajan ‘ajilan qariban kalamhi’l-basari aw huwa aqrab
And by that made us aware of their position. Then make open for us, by their truth, an immediate opening, immediate as a wink or sooner.

Ya Muhammadu ya ‘Aliyyu ya Muhammad
O Muhammad! O ‘Ali! O ‘Ali! O Muhammad!

Ikfiyani fainnakuma kafiyani wa’n-surani fainnakuma nasiran
Suffice me both of you as both of you are sufficient.Help me—two of you—for you are my helpers.

Ya mawlana ya sahiba’z-zaman
O our Master, O Master of the Time!

Al-ghawtha’l-ghawtha’l-ghawth,
Help! Help!

Adrikni adrikni adrikni
Rescue me! Rescue me! Rescue me!

As-sa‘ata’s-sa‘ata’s-sa‘ah
This moment! This moment! This moment!

You may then slap your right thigh with your hand three times and, at each time, say the following words:

Al-‘ajala’l-‘ajala’l-‘ajal
Hasten, hasten, hasten!

5) Supplication Enhances Longevity
Among the deeds that are stressed upon, is to pray for the early reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) after every obligatory prayer. The author of Mikyaal al-Makaarim has supported this idea with the help of the following tradition which says, “Whoever recites the following invocation after every obligatory prayer, his life will be prolonged till he sees Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.).” The invocation is as follows:

6) Another Invocation for Longevity
Allama Majlisi, in Kitab al-Salaat of Behaar al-Anwaar, narrates from “Falaah al-Saael” of the renowned scholar, Sayed Ibn Tawoos, who writes, “Abu Muhammad Haroon Ibn Musa relates from Abu al-Hasan Ali Ibn Yaqub al-Ajali al-Kesaai, from Ali Ibn al-Hasan Ibn Fazaalah, from Ja’far Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hakeem, from Jameel Ibn Darraaj, who recounts, “ A man came to the presence of Imam Sadeq (a.s.) and said, “O Master! I have become old and my relatives have died. I am afraid that I too may become a victim of the clutches of death while I don’t have anybody with whom I am acquainted and can refer to him.” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Surely among your believing brothers, there is somebody who is very close to you in relation. Your closeness with him is to the extent of intimacy. Yet, it is necessary that after every prayer, you recite the following supplication:
If you want name them one by one, if you wish, name them separately or if you so desire, name them together.” The man said, “By Allah! I lived my life to the fullest.”
7) Supplication of Revenge ( (النتقام
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) says,“Among our rights on our Shias is that they hold their beards and say after every obligatory prayer thrice,

Supplications During and After Prayers 87

The narrator asked, “May I be sacrificed for you, have you not prayed for yourself?’ He (a.s.) replied, ‘I have prayed for the light of Ale Muhammad (a.s.), the first of them, and the avenger of their enemies by the command of Allah…”

Supplications During and After Prayers 89 I asked, “Whom are you praying for?’ He (a.s.) replied, “It was for al-Mahdi from the progeny of Muhammad.” Then he (a.s.) said,

12. His (a.t.f.s.) Supplication for the Forgiveness of his Shias’ Sins
“O Allah, our Shia are created from the rays of our effulgence and from the leftovers of our essence. And they have sinned excessively relying on our love and Wilayat. Thus, if their sins are between You and them; erase them as they have pleased us. And what is between them effect reconciliation among them and make amends through our Khums! And admit them to Paradise! And deliver them from Hell fire and do not join them with our enemies in Your fury.

FROM An NAJMUTH SAAAQIB
Incident Twenty-six: Supplication of the Imam for Dawn, Morning and Evening
The honorary Sayyid, Sayyid Ali Khan Madani Shirazi, author of Sharh Saheefah and Samadia etc., in his book of Kalimatut Tayyab wal Ghaythus Sayyab says: I saw in the writing of some of my associates from the respected Sayyids and his condition was that I heard during the month of Rajab in the year 1093 from a reliable brother, Amir Ismail bin Husain Bayak bin Ali bin Sulaiman Jabiri Ansari – may Allah display his proof – he said: I heard the noble and pious Shaykh Haji Aliya Makki say:I was involved in hard financial conditions and extreme poverty to such an extent that I feared that I might starve to death. Then I found the following supplication in my pocket although apparently no had given it to me. I was highly amazed at this.
After that I saw in dream a man in garments of worshipers and he was saying: We have gifted so and so supplication to you. Recite it and you will get rid of your poverty and hardships. But I could not make out who the speaker was. Hence, my astonishment increased.
The next time I saw the Awaited Imam (a.t.f.s.) that he was telling me: Recite the supplication, which I gave to you and teach it to all those you like.
The Shaykh says: Indeed, I have experienced the effectiveness of that supplication a number of times. After some time I lost that supplication and could not find it for some days. I was very aggrieved at it and I sought divine forgiveness for the lapse. A person came to me and said: This supplication you have missed is at such and such place. I had never thought of looking over there. So I took it and thanked the Almighty for the same. The supplication is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O my Lord, I ask You for spiritual strength, partial and entire, till I may through my worship compel myself. And all the selves are in compulsion. So that they may prevent its fine hints for me. Through which the strength of the self may break. So much so there does not remain anyone with soul in the existence, except the powerful fire, which burnt their backs, O severe, O severe! O One with a severe might! The forceful! I ask You with what You gave to Israeel from Your severe names. Then through it the selves were affected due to severity. So that you may keep this secret from me. Till I make every hardship easy through it and trample every obstacle through it. O Master of great strength.82
Source :Behaarul Anwaar, vol. 53, pp. 225-226 It should be recited for warding off sorcery; three time; if possible: three times in the morning and three times in the evening.
When a task becomes tough for one, who recites this supplication; he should after reciting it, say thirty times:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Beneficent, O Merciful O the most merciful of the merciful ones. I ask You for kindness with which You issue the destinies.

Incident Twenty-seven: Supplication Attributed to Imam (a.s.)
The great scholar, Mirza Abdullah Isfahani, alias Afandi; in the fifth volume of his book, Riyazul Ulama Hayaazul Fadhla has said in the account of Shaykh Ibne Jawad Nomani: He had seen the Qaaem and has narrated from the Imam.
I saw in some writings of Shaykh Zainul Aabedeen Ali bin Hasan bin Muhammad, caretaker of the tomb of Imam Husain (a.s.): Ibne Abi Jawad Nomani was blessed with the audience of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) and he said to His Eminence: O my master, there is a place associated with you in Nomaniyah and one in Hilla; which of them do you honor by your presence?
His Eminence (a.s.) said: In Nomaniyah on the eve of Tuesday and Tuesday; and Friday and Friday eve in Hilla, but the people of Hilla do not accord the respect it deserves.
One, who enters a place associated with me, should recite Salawat twelve times as a mark of respect for me and the Holy Imams (a.s.).
Then he should recite two rakats prayer with two Surahs and supplicate the Almighty Allah and He will give what he likes. I said: O my master, teach me that supplication. He said:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Allah, take my paying respect from me till I stand in pain, and You are the most merciful of the merciful ones. Even though I have committed sins that are many times that I should be punished for them. And You are the forbearing and You ignore most of these sins; till Your forgiveness overpowers Your chastisement.

Incident Thirty: Dua Faraj taught by Imam Asr (a.s.) from An Najmus Saaqib
Sayyid Raziuddin Ali bin Taaoos, in the book of Farajul Mahmoon,2 and Allamah Majlisi in the book of Behaarul Anwaar3 have quoted from the book of Dalaael4 of Shaykh Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Jarir Tabari that he said: Informed me Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Harun bin Moosa Talakbari that: Abul Husain bin Abul Baghl Katib said:
1 Behaarul Anwaar, vol. 92, p. 241 onwards.
2 Farajul Mahmoon fee Taareekh Ulama Nujoom, pp. 245-247
3 Behaarul Anwaar, vol. 92, pp. 200-201; and, vol. 88, pp. 349-350; and, vol. 51, pp. 304-305.
4 Dalaaelul Imaamah, pp. 551-552

I took on a duty from Abu Mansoor Ibne Salihan and then something happened between me and him that caused me going into hiding. He asked for me and threatened me. I waited in hiding with fear and then went to the graveyard of Quraish in Baghdad on a Friday eve. I intended to spend the night there, praying and supplicating It was a windy, rainy night. I asked Abu Ja’far, the custodian, to lock the doors and make sure there remains no one, so I may pray and supplicate in solitude and be safe from the entrance of anyone, because I was fearful and did not feel safe. He did that and locked the doors. Half past the night, the winds and rains were so powerful that they made sure no one came to the place, I stayed praying and reciting Ziyarat, and worshipping. As I was like that, I heard footsteps there before the tomb of our Master Moosa (a.s.); there was a man reciting Ziyarat. He greeted Adam, and the other great prophets, peace be with them, and then the Imams, one after the other until he reached the Master of the Age (a.s.), he did not mention him. I much wondered and said perhaps he has forgotten or he does not know or maybe this is his belief.
When he finished his Ziyarat, he offered two rakats of prayers. I was fearful of him, since I did not know him. He seemed a full young man, appareled in white clothes, wearing a turban with its end coming down under his chin and going over his shoulder, with braided hair, and had a cloak with long threads at its margins on his shoulder. He said: “O Abu Husain Ibne Abul Baghal, why are you not reading the supplication of Faraj?” “And which supplication is that, my master?” I asked. He said: “Pray two rakats, and say:
This Ya Man Azhar Jammel Dua
Slightly diff version:-
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O He, Who reveals virtue, O He, Who conceals vice, O He, Who does not call to severe account for sins, O He, Who does not disclose the disgrace of His servants, O He, Who is the best forgiver, O He, Who overlooks errancy, O He, Whose forgiveness extends over all, O He, Whose Hands are stretched forth in mercy, O He, Who knows all secrets, O He, to Whom all complaints are directed. O one, who is the helper of every seeker. O one, who bestows to one before one becomes deserving.

Then say ten times:
O Lord
And the extreme end of the desires
Then say:
I ask You through these I ask You and by the right of Muhammad and his purified progeny (a.s.). Except that You remove my sorrow and grief and improve my circumstances.

And then you ask for your desire and ask your wish and then you put your right cheek on the earth and say one hundred times
in your Sajdah:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Muhammad, O Ali, O Ali, O Muhammad; suffice for me as you two are sufficient and help me as you two are helpers.
Place your left cheek on the earth and say one hundred times:
Reach me.
…and repeat it over and over and you say:
Refuge, refuge!
…until you run out of breath and then raise your head. Allah will fulfil your wish through His generosity.”
As I applied myself to the prayers and supplications, he left. When I was finished, I decided to go out to Abu Ja’far to ask him about the man and how he had entered. I saw all the doors had been locked the way they were. I was perplexed much and said perhaps he had spent the night there and I had not realized. I found Abu Ja’far, the custodian. He came out to me from his room. I asked him about the gentleman and his entrance. He said: “The doors are locked as you see them. I have not opened them.” I told him about the incident. He said: “This is our master, the Master of the Age, (a.s.). I have seen him many times in the nights like this when there was no one in the shrine.” I became very sad for the opportunity I had missed. I exited near dawn and went to Karkh towards the place where I was hiding. It was but the daybreak when men of Ibne Salihan were begging to meet me and asking my friends about me.
They were carrying a written pledge of protection from the minister and a slip in his handwriting having every pleasant thing. I went to him with a trustworthy friend of mine. He rose and embraced me and treated me in a way that I had never seen from him before. He said: “Have things worsened so much for you that you had to complain about me to the Master of the Age (a.s.)? I said: “I simply prayed and supplicated.” “I saw my master the Master of the Age,” he replied, “in my dream last night.” He meant the Friday eve. “He was ordering me to do every good deed and expressed a dislike to me that frightened me.”
I said: “La ilaaha illa Allah! I bear witness that they are the truth and the pinnacle of righteousness. Last night I saw our master, while I was awake. And he asked me to do such and such things.” I explained to him what I had seen in the shrine. He was astounded. Great favors he did to me with this respect and reached a level I did not anticipate; all of this being from the blessings of our master, the Master of the Age.

Dua Faraj, which the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) taught to Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) The author says: There are many supplications, which are named as Dua Faraj:
First: The supplication mentioned in this incident. Second: Supplication, which is narrated in the book of Ja’fariyat1 from Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) when he came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) and complained to him about some need.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said: Did I not teach you the words, which Jibraeel had brought as gift for me? They are nineteen words, which are written on the forehead of Jibraeel (a.s.). From them four and four are written on the forehead of Mikaeel; four are written on the forehead of Israfeel (a.s.); four are inscribed around the Kursi and three are inscribed around the circle of the Arsh. No one in distress prays through those words, and no deprived person worships through those words, and no distressed man invokes through them, and no one is fearful of a tyrant ruler or a satan, but that the Almighty Allah suffices him against everything. The supplication is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

O Supporter of the unsupported,

O Helper of the helpless,

O Protector of the unprotected,

O Shield for the defenseless,

O Hearer of the unheard appeal,

O the treasure for Whom there is no treasure,

O Pride of those without pride,

O Honor of the honorless,

O the Merciful Forgiver O the best of the recompensers.

O helper of the weak,

O treasure for the poor,

O the greatest of hopes,

O the savior of the drowning one

O the savior of those being destroyed

O favor-giving O beautifier, O giver of bounties, O favorer,

For whom prostrate the blackness of the night and the whiteness of the morning and the rays of the sun and the rays of the sun; and the light of the moon

and the sound of the water, and the rustling of the tree.

I ask the one except whom there is no God. O Allah, O Beneficent, O One with majesty and nobility.

Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) named this supplication as Dua Faraj. Dua Faraj, which the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) taught to a person for removing sorrow and poverty

Third: Shaykh Ibrahim Kafami has narrated in Jannatul Waqiya that a man came to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and said: O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.), indeed, I was rich, after that I became poor; I was in health; after that I became sick; I was accepted by the people after that I became unpopular; and I was light upon their hearts; thus I became serious and previously I was happy; I fell into hardships; the earth became narrow for me due to that and I was waiting for happy times again for seeking sustenance. I did not find anything with which to gain strength; as if my name was erased from the register of sustenance.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) told him: O man, perhaps you will use the inheritance of sorrow? He asked: What is the inheritance of sorrow? He replied: May be you tie the turban on the head in the seated position and wear the lower garment in the standing position or chew at your nails or wipe your cheek with are skirt or urinate in stagnant water or sleep in the head down position.
I asked: I commit these acts.
His Eminence said: Adopt the path of sincerity and purify your conscience and recite the following supplication and it is Dua Faraj:

See Before fajr friday dua second half
ilahi tumuhu al-amali qad khabat illa ladayka
O Allah, all ambitions of expectations are disappointed except those addressed to You,

wa ma`akifu alhimami qad ta`attalat illa `alayka
all resolute determinations are paralyzed except those relied upon You,

wa madhahibu al`uquli qad samat illa ilayka
and all reason-based tendencies are wasted except those directed to You.

fa-anta alrraja'u wa ilayka almultaja'u
So, You are the ultimate hope and to You is the resort.

O He Who is the noblest objective and the most magnanimous desired,

I am fleeing to You from myself.

ya malja'a alharibina bi-athqali aldhdhunubi
O shelter of those who flee overburdened with the heavy loads of sins,

carrying my sins on my back,

I cannot find any interceder for me

except that I know for sure that You are the nearest of all those who are hoped by beseechers

wa ammala ma ladayhi alrraghibuna
and of all those whose donations are expected by the desirous.

ya man fataqa al`uqula bima`rifatihi
O He Who has split the intellects on the recognition of Him,

wa atlaqa al-alsuna bihamdihi
made tongues articulate with the praising of Him

and made that which He has conferred upon His servants enough means for the fulfillment of their duties towards Him;

(please) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household,

do not give Satan any way (of success) over my reason,

wa la lilbatili `ala `amali dalilan
and do not give wrongness a way to reach my deeds.

And open for me the good of the world and the hereafter O the giver of good.1
1 Behaarul Anwaar, vol. 84, p. 281
Fourth: The respected scholar, Sayyid Ali Khan, in his book of Kalematut Tayyab has narrated from his grandfather that the following is Dua Faraj:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Allah, O the Loving, the Loving. O Lord of the Glorious Throne. O He, Who is the mighty doer of whatever He wills, I ask You through the light of Your face; through which You raised the pillars of Your Arsh. And through Your power, which You destined for all Your creatures and through Your mercy, which encompasses all the things. There is no god, except You. O the initiator and the returner. There is no god, except You. O the God of humans O the one of great consequence. From You is the entreaty and flight is towards You. Which is there with wideness. O refugegiver give refuge to me. O refuge-giver give refuge to me. O refugegiver give refuge to me.

Fifth: Dua Faraj narrated in the book of Mafatihun Najaah of Mohaqqiq Sabzawari and its initial words being:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Allah! Indeed I ask You O Allah, O Allah, O Allah. O God of the entire Creation, O He, Who is high and dominant, O He, Who is masterful and powerful, O He, Who is hidden and aware, O He, Who is worshipped and who appreciates, O He, Who is disobeyed and yet forgives, O He, Whom thought cannot encompass, O He, Whom eyes cannot see, O He, from Whom nothing is concealed, O Provider of sustenance to mankind, O He, Who ordained all destinies.

And so on, and it is a long Dua.

Third: Praying for the protection of Imam Asr (a.s.) It is an important duty to pray for the protection of Imam Asr (a.s.) from the mischief of satans from humans and jinns and seeking help, success and victory over the infidels, apostates and hypocrites for His Eminence as it is an expression of servitude and obedience of what the Almighty Allah has promised that such a precious gem, which He has nurtured in divine treasure and His power and veiled his greatness and majesty till that day, which he has considered expedient to reveal that precious gem and show the world that luminosity and included such promise in supplication; except fulfillment of servitude and expression of fondness, love, reward and satisfaction to this great divine bestowal, no effect will be seen. For sake of emphasis and eagerness, he said in supplication for His Eminence on most occasions.
The venerable Sayyid, Ali bin Taaoos in part eight of Falaahus Saael1 says: After encouragement for praying for the brothers is the excellence of praying for your ruler who is the cause of your existence and you believe that if the Imam had not been there the Almighty Allah would have created neither you or anyone of the duty-bound in his time and your time and that the grace of his existence is the cause of everything you and other than you are in and is the cause for benefits received from it. So be careful at that time beware of preferring yourself or someone else in love and supplication for His Eminence as far as possible. Maintain presence of mind and tongue in supplication for this great ruler and beware of thinking that you are saying this because His Eminence is needful of your supplication. Far from it! If you harbor such a belief, you are having a deficient faith; on the contrary what I have said was from the great right of His Eminence on you and his stupendous favor towards you and from the aspect that whenever you pray for him before praying for yourself and because he is dear to you. He will be nearer as the Almighty Allah opens the doors of acceptance before you, O the servant who is tied up due to sins.
So, when you pray for this special master before the Lord of life and death, it is hoped that through the being of that sacred existence, the Almighty Allah will open the doors of acceptance. So you would enter supplicating for self and for what you are praying in the ambit of persons blessed by Him and divine favors will surround your affairs and you would be blessed by Him. Because through supplication you hold His rope or don’t say you have not seen so and so who follows him from his teachers who act on what I say and I did not find him but that he was oblivious of our master as I have hinted. So I tell you to act on what I say that he is the manifest truth and whoever deserts our master and is oblivious as you will remember after that is a manifest mistake…and so on.
Also, in the book of Muzamir during the rituals of the holy month of Ramazan it is mentioned after supplications of pre-dawn meal from the recitations of every night: The servant in every devotional prayer ends every act of thankfulness, by the mention that he has faith that Imam (a.s.) is the deputy of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime between His servants and His lands, because he is provider of what they are needful of, for this keeper of fast, from his aims from the causes, which are related to His Eminence being the deputy of the Lord of the lords and that they supplicated and brought faith in the favor of God and His deputy (a.s.) whom he regards as worthy for this position and elevated his rank to this level.
(1Iqbaalul Aamaal, vol. 1, p. 191)
It is concluded from these words that cause of supplication for His Eminence is a ritual of servitude and fulfillment of the right of greatness and majesty and the next is removal of obstacles of acceptance and opening of the doors of kindness and bestowal.

Some of the supplications are for all times and some are for special times; a few of them are mentioned as follows:
Supplications related to Imam Asr (a.s.)
Supplication One Sayyid Raziuddin Ali bin Taaoos (r.a.) in the above book, after the about statement, says: Among the traditional reports, emphasizing praying for His Eminence is a report, which our scholars have narrated from Ibne Abi Qurra from his chains of narrators from Ali bin Hasan bin Ali bin Faddal from Muhammad bin Isa bin Ubaid from the Holy Imams (a.s.) that: Repeatedly recite on the eve of 23rd of the month of Ramazan in a standing and seated position and in every condition you are throughout that month and in every period of time possible for you. First recite divine praise of the Almighty Allah, then invoke blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (a.s.) and then recite this dua no 3 on qadr night tab
1 Iqbaalul Aamaal, vol. 1, pp. 191-192

In Al-Kaafi, Thiqatul Islam has narrated from Muhammad bin Isa through his chains of narrators from some righteous scholars that they said after the above explanation with slight differences that he said after praise of Allah, the Mighty and the High and Salawat on the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) as follows:
O Allah You be for so and so, at this hour and at every hour a guardian, a protector, a leader, a helper, a guide and a protector, so that he is at ease and lives on your earth for a long time.-Al-Kaafi, vol. 4, p. 162
In Misbaah, Shaykh Ibrahim Kafami after the above explanation has quoted the following supplication:
O Allah You be for Muhammad bin Hasan Al-Mahdi, at this hour and at every hour a Guardian, a protector, a leader, a helper, a guide and a protector, so that he is at ease and lives on your earth for a long time.
Supplication Two
Many scholars, including Shaykh Toosi (r.a.) in Misbaahul Motahajjid, pp. 409-4111 and Sayyid Ibne Taaoos in Jamaalul Usboo’,2 have through reliable and authentic chains of narrators and others than them have narrated from Yunus bin Abdur Rahman that Imam Ali Reza (a.s.) ordered to supplicate for the Master of the Age through
This supplication idfa waliyak
Supplication Three Also, the venerable Sayyid, Ali Ibne Taaoos (r.a.) in Falaahus Saael,1 has said that among the important post prayer litanies is to emulate Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) in praying for the Mahdi (a.s.); about whom Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) gave glad tidings to his nation in authentic traditional reports and promised that he will reappear in the last period of time.
It is thus narrated by Abu Muhammad Harun Ardbeli from Abu Ali Muhammad bin Hasan bin Muhammad bin Jamhur, uncle of his father and he has narrated from his father, Muhammad bin Jamhur from Ahmad bin Husain Sikri from Ibad bin Muhammad Madaini that he said: I came to Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) in Medina when he had just concluded the noon prayer and he had raised his hands to the heavens and said this zuhr dua no 8 under 'Dhur more'.. tab
I asked: Did you not pray for your own self, may I be sacrificed on you? He replied: Indeed, I prayed for the effulgence of Aale Muhammad (a.s.) and the one with precedence, the revenger by the command of the Almighty Allah from His enemies. I asked: When will his reappearance take place, may I be sacrificed on you?
He replied: Every period in which He intends, as all power and command belongs to Him.
I asked: Are there signs preceding his reappearance?
He replied: Yes, there are many signs for him. I asked: Like?
He replied: Coming out of a standard from the east and a standard from the west; and a mischief, which will descend on the people of Zora and the advent of the cousins from Zaid in Yemen and plunder of the covering of the Kaaba and whatever the Almighty Allah does what He wants. Shaykh Toosi 1 and Kafami 2 have narrated this supplication and in all places instead of have used the term:
1 Misbaahul Motahajjid, pp. 60-61
2 Al-Misbaah Kaf ’ami, p. 32

Supplication Four Also, the venerable Sayyid has said in that blessed book: Among the important acts to be performed after the Asr Prayer is to follow our master, Moosa bin Ja’far Kazim (a.s.) in supplicating for our Maula, Mahdi (a.s.).
Thus, Muhammad bin Bashir Azdi has narrated it from Ahmad bin Umar Katib from Hasan bin Muhammad bin Jamhur Ammi from his father, Muhammad bin Jamhur from Yahya bin Fazl Naufili that he said: I came to Abul Hasan Moosa Ibne Ja’far in Baghdad, when he had just concluded the Asr Prayer. He raised his hands to the sky and I heard him in tone:this dua 13 in 'Asr more' tab

Ref:1 Falaahus Saael, pp. 199-200

Supplication Five In the book of Mizmaar, Sayyid Ali Ibne Taaoos has mentioned this Dua among the supplications of the dua 3 on thirteenth of the month of Ramazan:
Supplication Six Shaykh Toosi has narrated in his Ghaibah pp. 273-280, from Husain bin Muhammad bin Aamir Ashari that he said: Narrated to me Yaqub bin Yusuf Zarrab Ghassani on his return from Isfahan that:
“I performed Hajj with some Sunni persons of my town in 281 A.H. When we reached Mecca, one of our companions took for us a house on rent in the Sauqul Lail Street. It was a fortunate chance that the house was a property of Ummul Momineen Lady Khadija (s.a.w.a.) and which was now known as Darul Reza and was occupied an old lady. When I came to know that the house was called Darul Reza, I asked that old lady how she was related to the owner of the house and why it was called Darul Reza? She said: I am one of the slave girls of the owner of the house and this house belongs to Ali Ibne Moosa Reza (a.s.). Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.) has accommodated me in it, because I had been in his service. I was impressed by that old lady, but I did not disclose it to my Sunni friends. Whenever I returned from Tawaf at night, I slept in the verandah with them. We used to close the door and also place a huge stone behind it.
One night, I saw a lamp in the verandah where we slept. Then I saw the door being opened automatically and a medium stature, wheat complexion and physically fit young man having a mark of prostration, wearing a shirt, a wrap and wearing shoes without socks, enter and ascend to the attic occupied by the old lady. She had told us not to go up, as her daughter lived there.
When the man went to the attic, I noticed that the light present in the verandah had now reached the attic. My friends also noted this and they thought that the man was visiting the daughter of that old lady and it seemed as if he had done a Mutah marriage with her; and that this Alawite lady considered it lawful, ‘although it was not so’. Thus, we saw that man regularly, but when we checked the door, we found it closed and the stone was also intact. I became curious and I decided to ask the old lady about him. One day I said: O so-and-so, I want to ask you something in private, but I don’t get a chance as others are also present. So when you notice that I am alone, you should come down from the attic. She also said: I also want to speak to you in private, but I don’t get a chance.
I asked: What do you want to talk to me about?
She said: See, don’t mention this to anyone; he has told you not to fight with your companions and associates.
I asked: Who has told this?
She replied: I say it.
Since I was suspicious from before, I did not dare to ask anything else. I just asked what she meant by companions? (I was thinking that she was implying my present companions.). But she said: People who live with you in your house in town (and the fact was that I had regular controversies with them about religious matters).
So they complained about me and I ran away from there and went into hiding and now I understood that she was talking about them. I asked: What is your concern with Imam Ali Reza (a.s.)?
She said: I am the maid of Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.).
When I became certain that she was connected to that family, I asked her about the hidden Imam and said: I adjure you; please tell me if you have really seen him yourself. She said:
Though I have never seen him myself, because when I had left that place, my sister was pregnant, but Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.) had given me the glad tiding that I will see him at the end of my life and that I will be to him same as I was to Imam Hasan Askari (a.s.). Then she said: At present I live in Egypt, and I have come here, because he sent a letter and thirty dinars to me with a Khurasani man unfamiliar with Arabic and asked me to perform the Hajj. I came here hoping to see him as well.
Now, I became sure that the man who frequented the attic was the Imam of the time. I took out the ten dirhams from which six were reserved for Imam Zamana (a.s.). I had initially vowed to put them at Maqam Ibrahim, but later I thought that it was best to spend them on the descendants of Lady Fatima (s.a.w.a.).
So I gave the ten dirhams to that lady and said: Give them to one, who in your view is most deserving from the descendants of Lady Fatima (s.a.w.a.). I was expecting that she would give to the man, who visited her place regularly.
She took the money to the attic and returned after sometime and said: I am not entitled to take it, you may put it where you had vowed to, although you can take change it from dirham Razavia into another currency and put it there (I did that and said to myself that whatever you are ordered was from that gentleman only).
Then I also had a copy of an epistle, which came from Qasim bin Alaa in Azerbaijan. I said to that lady: Show this copy to him, he definitely would be familiar with the writings of Imam Zamana (a.s.). She said: Give it, I am familiar with it. I showed it her and was thinking that perhaps she will be able to read it. She said: I cannot read it here.
Then she took it upstairs and then came down after sometime and said: Yes, it is correct. And I also have some good news to you, which is beneficial to you and others as well. After that she said: He is asking how you invoke blessings on your Prophet?
I replied: I do it as follows:
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and sanctify Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad with the best of the blessings with which You bless and sanctify Ibrahim and the progeny of Ibrahim. Indeed You are the praised one and the majestic.
She said: No, when you invoke blessings, you should mention each name separately.
I said: All right. The next day when she came down, she had a paper with her. She said: He says: When you invoke blessings on your Prophet, you should do so according to this formula.
I accepted the paper and began to act accordingly. Then on many nights I saw him descend from the attic and the light accompanied him. I used to open the door and follow the light, but I could only see a light and that person did not become visible to me, till he reached the courtyard of the Kaaba.
I also saw people of various countries visit the house and hand over their requests to that old lady. I also saw her returning them to the applicants along with their replies and spoke to them in a language, which I could not understand. I also met some of them on way back home till I reached Baghdad.

The Durood supplication, which was written by Imam Zamana (a.s.) for me is at:
Salwaat Zarrab Isphani pg
This blessed report is mentioned in some other reliable books1; it is narrated from the past scholars through numerous chains of narrators and in some of them in all the places it is mentioned: O Allah, bless…and so on. And in no report is time fixed for recitation of this supplication, except that Sayyid Raziuddin Ali bin Taaoos in Jamaalul Usboo’, Pg. 301 after the mention of effective supplication after the Asr Prayer on Friday has said:
If you leave the post prayer litanies of Asr Prayer in Friday due to some excuse, you must never omit these Salawat in any case from the aspect that the Almighty Allah has informed us about it. It can be concluded from this blessed statements that nothing is impossible from his lofty rank; as clarified in the previous chapter that the gate of His Eminence is open.

He will supplicate and say in his invocations:

There is no god but Allah, really truly; there is no god but Allah, in faith and truth; there is no god but truth devotedly and gently. O Allah! (You are) the Helper of every lone believer and the disgracer of every arrogant despot. You are my refuge when all the paths are rendered powerless and the earth straitened for me from its earlier vastness. O Allah! You created me while You were Needless of my creation. But for Your help to me, I would have been overpowered. O He Who spreads mercy from its places, O Bringer of blessings from its mines, O the One Who has specified Himself with lofty elevation due to which His friends gain respect with His respect. O the One for Whom kings become lowly, the yoke of disgrace, upon their necks and they are fearful of His dominance; I ask You with Your Name from which Your creatures fall short, thus all are submissive to You. I ask You that You send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and that You fulfill for me my affair, hasten for me the salvation (through reappearance), suffice for me, grant me safety and fulfill my needs. Now! Now! Now! This night! This night! Surely, You have power over all things.”

: He said: A supplication taught by the Saaheb al-Zamaan – may the salutations of Allah, the King, the Obliger, be on him – to Abu al-Hasan Muhammd Ibn Ahmad Ibn Abi al-Lais (r.a.) in the city of Baghdad in Maqaaber-e-Quraish. Abu alHasan had fled to Maqaaber-e-Quraish and sought refuge in it from being killed. He was saved from being killed due to the blessings of this supplication.
The aforementioned Abu al-Hasan chronicles: He (a.t.f.s.) taught me that I should say,

“O Allah! Calamities have developed, the matter has become known, all hopes are severed, the curtain has been raised, the earth has straitened, the sky has become prohibited; and to You, O God, is the complaint, and upon You is the reliance in difficulties and comfort. O God! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, the possessors of authority whose obedience You have made compulsory upon us and introduced unto us their position. So grant salvation unto us, for their sake, a quick salvation like the batting of an eyelid or even faster. O Muhammad, O Ali! Both of you suffice for me because surely you two suffice for me. Both of you help me because surely you two are my helpers. O my master! O Saaheb al- Zamaan! Refuge, refuge, refuge! Help me, help me, help me!” The narrator says: When he (a.t.f.s.) uttered “O Saaheb al-Zamaan”, he was indicating towards his (a.t.f.s.) holy chest.

: From our master al-Mahdi (a.s.): “One who writes this supplication in new utensil with the soil of al-Husain (a.s.), then washes it and drinks it, will be cured from his illness:

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. In the Name of Allah is a medicine; All Praise is for Allah is cure; There is no god but Allah is adequate; He is the Curer is a cure; He is the Sufficer is sufficient; misery is dispelled by the Lord of the people, a cure which illness never betrays; and Allah’s blessings be on Muhammad and his chosen progeny.”
I saw in the manuscript of al-Sayyed Zain al-Deen Ali Ibn al-Husain al-Husaini (r.a.) that a man who lived in Karbala, learnt this supplication from Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) in his dream. He was very ill and had complained to the Qaem (a.t.f.s.), who ordered him to write on a utensil, wash it and drink it. He followed the instructions and was cured from his ailment.

1280. Al-Kalem al-Tayyeb2
: I saw in the handwriting of some of our companions from amongst the majestic, righteous and reliable Sādāt (i.e. descendntsfrom the holy Prophet and Imams) the form of which was as follows: In Rajab (circa 1093 A.H.)I heard a brother in Allah’s way, who was a truthful master, a practicing scholar, a collection of all human qualities and holy attributes, the chief Ismaaeel Ibn Husain Baik Ibn Ali Ibn Sulaiman al-Jaaberi al-Ansari – may Allah illuminate his argument – say, “I heard the righteous, pious, Shaikh al-Haaj Ali al-Makki say, ‘I was afflicted with a problem and severity inflicted on me by an opponent so much so that I feared being killed and annihilated when I found in my pocket a supplication without anyone giving it to me. I was amazed and perplexed at it. I dreamt that a speaker in the costume of the righteous and the pious say,
‘Surely, we have granted you this supplication; you invoke through it and you will be saved from your difficulty and problem. It was not clear for me who was the speaker, which increased my perplexity. Another time, I saw [Imam] al-Hujjah al-Muntazar (a.t.f.s.) who said to me, ‘Invoke with the supplication that I have given to you. You may teach to whosoever you intend.”
Indeed, I have experienced it a number of times, and found it to provide instant salvation.
After this, I lost the supplication for quite some time, was quite upset about it and seeking divine forgiveness for my misdeeds. At this juncture, a person approached me and said,
‘This supplication fell from you at so and so place.” I could not think in my wildest of thoughts that I could misplace the supplication at that place. Immediately, (I went there), found the supplication and performed the prostration of thanksgiving. This supplication was as follows:

In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. O Lord! I ask Your spiritual help through which I gain strength, in whole and in part till I subdue with the premises of my soul every subduing self. So, I receive the indications of its minutes, a receiving, by which its strengths fall down, till no possessor of soul remains in the universe except the fire of my anger burns his appearance. O Powerful! O Powerful! O Possessor of Severe Strength! O Subduer! O Tremendous Subduer! I ask You of Your subduing Names that You have vested with (angel) Izraaeel due to which all the souls are subdued in front of him that You vest with me this secret right now. So that through it I make every difficult thing soft, downgrade every lofty one, for the sake of Your Strength, O Possessor of Powerful Strength!” If possible, it should be read three times before the morning prayers, three times at the time of morning prayers and three times in the evening. When the affair becomes tough upon the one who recites it, he should say thirty times after reciting it: O Beneficent! O Merciful! O the Most Merciful of all merciful ones! I ask You the grace through which destinies flow.”

1281. Al-Kalem al-Tayyeb1
: This is a great supplication from Saaheb al-Amr (a.t.f.s.) for one who has lost something or is in some need. It has a strange incident quite similar to the occurrence of the previous supplication. Hence, the invoker must recite it excessively for seeking his needs. It is as follows:

In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. You are Allah Who there is no god but You, the Initiator of Creation and the One Who causes their return; and You are Allah Who there is no god but You, Regulator of Affairs and the Raiser of those in graves; and You are Allah Who there is no god but You, the One Who straitens and amplifies; and You are Allah Who there is no god but You, the Inheritor of the earth and whoever is on it; and I ask You by Your Name Which when I pray through it, You answer and when I ask through it, You grant; and I ask You for the sake of Muhammad and his Ahle Bait (a.s.) and their right which You have made obligatory upon Yourself that You send blessings on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) and that You fulfill My needs, right now, right now; O my Sayyed, O my Master, O my Refuge; I ask You for the sake of every Name that You have Named Yourself and You have concealed it in Your knowledge of the Unseen with You that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) and that You hasten our liberation from this severity, O Changer of hearts and sights, O Hearer of supplications, surely You are having power over all things, for the sake of Your Mercy, O Most Merciful of all merciful ones! Make vast for us the path, let loose what grants us salvation and do unto us of what You are eligible, O Generous One!

: An amulet from our master, the Qaem (a.s.): In the Name of God the Beneficent the Merciful, O Master of slaves, O Destroyer of armies, O Opener of doors, O Cause of causes, cause unto us a cause which we cannot seek for the sake of ‘there is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be on him and all his progeny.

: (In a lengthy tradition in which he (r.a.) has recorded the qunoot 3 of the infallible Imams (a.s.), he (r.a.) says): The qunoot of our master, al-Hujjah Muhammad Ibn al-Hasan (a.s.):

O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad. Honor Your friends by fulfilling Your promise, convey them to reach whatever they expect from Your Mercy, restrain from them the evil of the one who has raised a conflict against You, revolted against Your loftiness upon the mount of Your opposition, sought help with Your support to weaken You and intended against Your plan with Your hand. But You displayed expansive forbearance so that You may punish him openly and uproot him unexpectedly. For surely, O Allah, You have said and Your word is truth, “…until when the earth puts on its golden raiment and it becomes garnished, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, so We render it as reaped seed; produce, as though it had not been in existence yesterday; thus do We make clear the communications for a people who reflect.4
“ And You said, “Then when they displeased Us, We inflicted retribution on them…5
“ Surely, according to us, the end has reached, we are angry for Your anger, enthusiastic for helping the Truth, desirous of the advent of Your affair, anticipating the fulfillment of Your promise and expecting Your threat to fall on Your enemies. O Allah! Grant permission for that, open his ways, facilitate his reappearance, smoothen his paths, expand his roads, support his armies and supporters, hasten Your evil to the unjust nation, open the sword of Your punishment upon Your arrogant enemies and seize (them) with fire. Surely, You are the Generous, the Planner.

1285. Kunooz al-Najaah2
: Narrated Ahmad Ibn al-Darbi from Khazaanah from Abu Abdillah al-Husain Ibn Muhammad al-Bazoofari who reports, “It has come from the holy presence (of Imam-e-Zamaan a.t.f.s.), ‘Whoever desires a need from Allah, he must have a ceremonial bath on the eve of Friday after midnight, come to his prayer-niche, perform two units of prayers, recite Surah al-Hamd in the first unit, when he reaches to “We worship only You and we seek help only from You”, he must repeat it a hundred times, proceed to complete it, follow it with Surah al-Tauheed once, bow, prostrate and say, ‘Sub’haanallah’ seven times in them. Thereafter, he must recite the second unit in exactly the same manner as the first unit and invoke with this supplication, for surely, Allah – the High – will fulfill his need whatever it may be except for breaking relations with his relatives. The supplication is as follows:

O Allah! If I obey You, then praise is for You and if I disobey You, then the argument stands in Your favor. From You is hope and salvation is from You. Purified is the One Who has bestowed bounties and multiplied rewards. Purified is the One Who destined and forgave. O God! If I have disobeyed You, then surely I have also obeyed You in the most beloved things unto You and that is, to believe in You. I have neither taken a son unto You nor did I invoke a partner with You, (of course) an obligation from Your side upon me and not an obligation from me upon You. And I did not disobey You, O my God, on account of treating You with disdain nor did I consider myself out of Your servitude nor on account of denial of Your Lordship. But I only obeyed my carnal desires and the Satan caused me to slip. So, the Proof and Explanation is in Your favor against me. If You punish me, it will be on account of my sin and You will not be an oppressor. If You forgive me and have mercy on me, then surely You are Generous, Noble. O Noble! O Noble!...(Keep repeating it till your breath breaks). Then say: O Security from all things and all things are fearful and afraid of You, I ask You for the sake of Your security from all things and the fear of all things from You that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and that You grant me security for myself, my family, my children and all those things that You have bestowed on me till I don’t fear anyone and am not scared of anything ever. Surely, You have power over all things. And Allah suffices for us and He is the best upon whom one relies. O the One Who sufficed Ibraheem against Namrood, O the One Who sufficed Moses against Pharao, O the One Who sufficed Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) against the allies, I ask You that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and suffice me from the evil of so and so.” Soon, you will be sufficed from the evil of the one whose evil you fear because surely, He will suffice you from his evil, if Allah – the High – wills. Then, he should prostrate and ask (Allah) for his needs and beseech to Allah – the High – because no believer, man and woman, has performed this prayer and invoked with this supplication with sincerity but that the doors of the sky have been opened for him for response and his prayers have been accepted in his time and his night, whatever it may be, and that is on account of Allah’s grace upon us and upon the people’.”

1286. Misbaah al-Mutahajjid of Shaikh al-Kaf’ami (r.a.)1
: He said (after mentioning some of what we have narrated from the supplications): Know that there are for the Mahdi (a.s.) two other supplications which are light on the tongue, but heavy on the scale (i.e. of immense value). It is worth mentioning them over here:
First: I have narrated it from the book Mohaj al-Da’waat and,
Second: From the book al-Adeeyah al-Mustajaabaat (accepted supplications). Thereafter, he mentions the supplications: O Owner of slaves…till its end. Then, he mentions the second supplication from the book al-Adeeyah alMustajaabaat, which is as follows:

O my God! For the sake of these who You have saved, and for the sake of these who call You in the ocean and the land, bless Muhammad and his progeny, and confer grace upon the destitute of the believers – men and women – through wealth and affluence, and upon the sick of the believers – men and women – through cure, health and comfort, and upon the living believers – men and women – through kindness and generosity, and upon the dead believers – men and women –through forgiveness and mercy, and upon the travelers of the believers – men and women –by returning them to their native places, safe and sound, for the sake of Muhammad and his progeny (p.b.u.t.).

1287. Misbaah al-Mutahajjid of Shaikh al-Kaf’ami (r.a.)2
: He said in the twenty-ninth part, dedicated to supplications narrated from the infallible Imams (a.s.), that don’t have names by which they can be recognized. From these supplications is the one that is the narrated from the Mahdi (a.t.f.s.):
Fifth Tab dua
O Allah! Grant us the grace of obedience, of being far from disobedience, of truthfulness in intention, of recognizing the prohibitions, honor us with guidance and steadfastness, guide our tongues to speak the right things and wisdom, fill our hearts with knowledge and cognition, purify our stomachs from the prohibited and doubtful things, restrain our hands from injustice and stealing, lower our eyes from sins and breach of trust, seal our ears from vain things and back-biting,confer grace upon our scholars with piety and admonishment, upon our students with hard-work and inclination (towards studies), upon our audiences with following and advices, upon the sick Muslims with cure and comfort, upon their dead with kindness and mercy, upon our teachers with dignity and tranquility, upon the youth with humility and repentance, and upon the women with shame and modesty, and upon the rich with humility and affluence, and upon the needy with patience and contentment, and upon the soldiers with (divine) help and victory, and upon the prisoners with freedom and ease, and upon the rulers with justice and compassion, and upon the subjects with fairness and good behavior, and bless the Hajj pilgrims and visitors to the graves of the infallible guides with provision and expenses, and fulfill whatever You have made obligatory upon them from the Hajj pilgrimage and Umrah, for the sake of Your Grace and Your Mercy, O Most Merciful of all merciful ones.

Refrence:2 Misbaah al-Mutahajjid of Shaikh al-Kaf’ami (r.a.), pp. 280-281, Section 29 The first supplication
I say: The liability for mentioning the supplications narrated from him (a.t.f.s.) rests on the books of supplications. So, whoever seeks more details must refer to them and whatever has been narrated from him in al-Ghaibah of al-Shaikh al-Toosi, pp. 273 -280, Misbaah alMutahajjid, p. 284, Misbaah al-Mutahajjid of Shaikh al-Kaf’ami (r.a.),p. 406, Jamaal al-Usboo’, p. 500, etc. Blessings upon the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and the infallible Imams (a.s.) and these are famous & mentioned in books of supplication prevalent amongst its followers.
Sayyed Ibn Taawoos (r.a.) writes in Jamaal al-Usboo’: “If you leave the post-prayers supplications on Friday for any excuse whatsoever, don’t leave this supplication at all for an affair which Allah – Majestic be his Majesty – has made known to us.”

Sheikh Kafa'ami (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted it in "Al-Misbaah" from our master, the proof (peace be on him). His (a.t.f.s.) Supplication for the Destitute, the Sick, the Living and the Dead

O' He when the affairs become difficult He open the ways we didn't imagined, so send Your blessing to Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad and open for me ways out from my difficulties that I didn't imagined, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful.[1]

In "Tuhfatu Ridawiyah" he said: Allamah Taqi, Sayyid Mirza Hasan bn Sayyid Mirza Ali Agha Shirazi (may Allah glorifies his secret) told me of the following supplication, he mentioned that it was from the proof (may Allah hasten his relief) and some pious scholars has also narrated it. He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: you recite it after every day compulsory prayers and at any other time, it suffices you in your important requests and makes you reach your goal.

This preservation of our master Al-Qa'im (peace be on him) was narrated by Sayyid Al-Ajal in Mahju Dda'waah and Sheikh Al-Kafa'ami in Misbaah:

Sayyid Ali bn Taaus in Mahju Dda'waah said: we have narrated through the chain of Muhammad bn Ahmad bn Ibrahim Al-Ja'afi popularly known as Saaban. The occultation of Imam Al-Mahdi peace be on him was mentioned there in, I said: what shall Your followers do? He said:
Be aware of supplication and expectation of relief, verily knowledge shall appear to you, then you give praise to God and hold fast with what appeared to you I said: with what shall we supplicates? He said: recite the following:

Don' t deprive me from the rank of Your intimate friends, and don't change my mind after being guided. O' Allah! Guide me to the guardianship of those you have make incumbent for me to follow.1

SUPPLICATION APPROPRIATE FOR THE TIME OF OCCULTATION
The honorable Sayyid Ali bin Taoos (R.A.) states: I witness someone in my dream who taught me a supplication with regard to the time of occultation. It should be recited as follows:
“O He who promoted the Progeny of Ibrahim and the Progeny of Israel over the worlds through His choice, and made evident the dignity of their kingdom over the kingdoms of heavens and earth, and made Mohammad (peace be upon him and his Progeny) and his household the trustees of his astonishing secrets, (bless Mohammad and his Progeny), and regard us among the supporters and devotees of Your proof over Your slaves”.[1]

SUPPLICATION FOR RESCUE FROM AFFLICTIONS
It was written in the book"Silaahul Mu'mineen".
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O' Allah! Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and hasten their relief (O' the most Merciful of the merciful (7) seven times).
O' Allah encompass the enemies of the families of Your Prophet and those that oppressed them and the enemies of their followers and enemies of those that gave allegiance to them with entire evil, and overflow them with evil, and silent them with unbearable night and with unsaved time and quickly retaliate from them and burn their heart with the wrath of Your Hell fire.
O' Allah! Scattered their unity, disunite their gatherings, change their plans, turn their banners upside down, destroy their homes and make their life span very near, let their afflictions between themselves,
and let us be free from them and held them with intensive responsibility.
O' Allah! Impose sufferings and illness on their body and tighten their means of sustenance and deprive them of their properties, and distract them of their ways and cut Your assistance from them and reduce their population.
O' Allah! Protect the followers of the household of Your Prophet peace be on them from their evils, and free them from their plots, deceits and afflictions. Help them with Your Grace and unite their words and their gatherings, administer their affairs and teach them what is unknown to them, let them see what is unseen to them, elevate their words and make it very exalted and make very low the words of the enemies.[1]

SUPPLICATION OF IMAM JAWAD (A.S.)FOR THE END OF OPPRESSION FROM THE WORLD
The honorable Sayyid Ali bin Taoos narrates this supplication from our Master, Imam Jawad (A.S.), in his book ‘Muhaj ud Da’waat’ in the following manner:
“O’ Allah, indeed the oppression of Your slaves has strengthened and established on Your lands resulting in the removal of justice, and the disconnection from the paths of guidance, and the evasion of the right, and the abandonment of the truth, and the concealment of the good, and the evidence of the evil, and the extinguishment of piety, and the removal of guidance, and the end of benefits and nobility, and the firmament of deviation from truth, and the growth of corruption, and the strengthening of hostility, and the spreading of oppression, and the trespassing of boundaries.
O’ Allah, O’ my Lord, none can end it but Your power and dominance, none can deliver men from it except for Your grace and favor.

O’ Allah, my Lord, uproot the transgression, and rip the ropes of oppression into pieces, and make the markets of mischief and wrongdoings stagnant, and dignify those who dislike them, and pull the foundations of the tyrants from its root, and make them face loss and defeat after their luxuries,

and hasten O’ Allah in attacking them while they unaware, and send Your wrath upon them, and put the evildoers and corrupted ones to death

so that those who fear them feel at peace, and the sorrowful and saddened men feel relieved, and the hungry is filled, and those things that are on the verge of destruction are saved, and the evaders gain shelter, and the vagrants return, and the poor become rich, and the seekers of peace attain it, and the old men are honored, and the infants are pitied, and the oppressed gain dignity, and the oppressors become humiliated, and the sorrowful are relieved, and the difficulties are solved, and the mutinies are calmed, and the differences end, and knowledge gains elevation, and peace and harmony becomes widespread, and conflicts and diversities turn into unity, and faith is strengthened, and the Holy Qur’an is recited, indeed You are the remunerator, the Sustainer, and the Graceful. SUPPLICATION FOR PROTECTION FROM DAJJAL’S EVIL It has been narrated from Ma’aaz bin Jabal that he said: One day, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) sent me to Abdullah bin Salaam while his holiness was surrounded by a group of his companions. Abullah bin Salaam came near the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.), his holiness said:
“O’ Abdullah, inform me about those ten words which were taught by Allah (S.W.T.) to Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) on the day when he was to be thrown in fire. Have you found those words written in your Torah?”
Abdullah said: “O’ Messenger of Allah, my parents be sacrificed upon you, has anything about those ten words revealed upon you? Certainly I have seen the reward of reciting those them in Torah but haven’t come across those ten supplications which have the ‘Ism- e-Aazam’ of Allah in each one of them.”
Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Did Allah teach those words to Prophet Musa (A.S.)?”
Abdullah said: “Allah did not teach them to anyone except Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him).”
Holy Prophet said: “What have you seen regarding its reward in Torah”?
Abdullah said: O’ Allah’s Messenger, who has the power to attain such a reward”? I saw in Torah that it was written:
There is no slave upon whom the Lord has bestowed His grace by placing these words in his heart but that his eyes have been illuminated and certainty has been placed in his heart, and his chest is broadened for the acceptance of faith, and a light is allotted for him which rises from where he sits towards the sky; and the Lord praises him twice a day before the angels and grants wisdom in his tongue and blesses him with the memorization of the book, even though he might not be greedy for this reward; and he makes him a jurisprudent and scholar of the religion, and places his love in the hearts of His slaves, and protects him from the punishments of the grave, and the schemes of Dajjal, and from the great fear of the Day of Resurrection.
And God may resurrect him among the group of martyrs; honor him and bless him with the dignity and greatness which is has been bestowed by Him upon his Prophets, and such a person will remain fearless on the day when all humans will be filled with fear, and they will not be sorrowful on the day when all the people will be sorrowful, and his name will be written as ‘Siddeeq’ (the truthful) near Allah, and he will resurrect on the Day of Resurrection while his heart will be peaceful and satisfied, and he will be under the shadow of the dignified men along with Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.).
By the grace of this supplication, a worshipper will be bestowed with whatever he desires from God; and if he adjures God, God will act upon his vow, and he will be situated on the majestic position (heaven) in the vicinity of the Merciful God, and all the rewards of the martyrs from the beginning of world’s creation will be written for him.
Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) asked: “What is meant by the majestic position?”
Abdullah says: “It means the Eden gardens and it is the place of the Almighty God and His Holy Threshold”.
Ibn e Salaam said: “O Messenger of Allah, teach us that supplication and be gracious upon us just as God has bestowed His grace upon you”.
Prophet (P.B.U.H.) said: “Prostrate before the God Almighty”.
Ma’aaz bin Jabal said: All of them prostrated, and when they lifted their heads from prostration, the holy Prophet said: “recite:
“O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, You are the one whom all the creations fear, O’ light of the light, You are the one who is hidden from its creation such that even light cannot get access to Your light, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, You are the mighty one who has elevated upon His throne above the heaven, Your grandness and glory cannot be described by anyone from the creations, O’ Light of the Light, certainly the people of the heavens illuminated with Your light, and the people of earth are shining with the beam of Your light, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, You are the one save whom there is no God, You are mightier than being ascribed a partner with You, and greater than being ascribed a son for You, and Glorified to have anyone alike You, and Dignified to have an opponent for You, thus You are Allah, the Praised one by all tongues, and You are worshipped at all places, and You are remembered at all times and moments, O’ Light of the light, all the lights switch off in the presence of Your light, O’ Kings of all Kings, save You everything will be destroyed, O’ Eternal, All living beings will die except You, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Beneficent, O’ Merciful, have mercy upon me with a mercy that puts off the fire of Your wrath and anger, and separates me from Your Punishment, and provides me with the glory and good-fortune from Your threshold, and place us in the house where Your noble servants reside, O’ the most Beneficent, O’ He who makes beauty apparent, and conceals the unpleasant, O’ He who does not punish His servants for their sins, and does not break their veil of honor, O’ great forgiver, O’ best Pardoner, O’ He who absolves widely, O’ He who grants mercy with extended hands, O’ knower of all whisperings, O’ He upon whom the judgment of all complaints end, O’ Master of great kindness, O’ Master of great generosity, O’ He who granted His servants with bounties before they deserved it, O’ My Lord, O’ My Lord, O’ Master, O’ Hope, O’ Final Desire, I ask You O’ Allah, O’ Allah, O’ Allah, do not dispose my body in the hellfire.”
Ibn e Salaam asked: “O’ Messenger of Allah, what is the reward of he who recites these verses”?
His holiness said: “Alas! Alas! It is not possible to write down its rewards. If the angles of the seven heavens and earth come together and wish to describe it till the day of Resurrection, they would fail to mention even one part out of the thousand parts of its reward.
Then Prophet (P.B.U.H.) stated numerous rewards and attributes of these words which cannot be mentioned here due to the conciseness of this book and conclude this discussion here. [1]

THE NARRATED SUPPLICATION FROM HIM (peace be on him) FOR RESCUE FROM NARROWNESS AND DIFFICULTIES
It was said in Al-Kalamu Ttayyib: I have seen the hand writing of some of our companions among the pious and trustworthy ones: I heard in Rajab in the year 1093 A.H. from a brother in Islam, the maid of Suduq who has obtained perfection in humanity and holy attributes, he is by name Al-Ameer Ismail bn Husein beek bn ali bn Suleiman Al-Jaabiri Al-Ansari (may Allah brighten his proves) saying: I heard Sheikh Hajj Ali Al-Makki saying: I was afflicted with narrowness and difficulties and I fear the destruction of myself, later I came across a wrapped supplication in my pocket that was not given to me by any one, I was then surprise and became confused, after that I saw a pious man in my dream saying:I have given the supplication to you, so offer it you will be saved from your narrowness and difficulties, though it was not obvious to me who speaks to me in my dream, the scene that increases my surprise. Another time I saw the awaiting proof (peace be on him) and said to me: offer the supplication I have given it to you and you should teach those that are in need of it.
Consequently, I have implemented it several times and have seen a quick acceptance, then the supplication get out of my hand for some times and I seriously regret of its lost by seeking pardon from Allah for my bad deeds, later an unknown person cane to me telling me that the supplication fall from me in certain place, and it did not cross my mind to go to such place, I took my supplication and observe a thanksgiving prostration to Allah, the supplication is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
O' my Lord; I requested spiritual auxiliaries from You that shall strengthen my general and sectional power till I subdued with my fundamental self and every despotic souls and depressed all its movement till all its power drops and never allow any despotic on Earth until is burnt with the fire of my subjugation.
O' the powerful, O' the powerful, O' He who possess terrible assault, the one who subdue, O' He who subdued. I requested from You what You have deposited among Your forcible names that all souls subdued to, to bestowed me with this mysteries at this very time, till all difficulties are made easy and to surmount all impenetrable by Your strength, O' He who possess substantial strength.
You recite this supplication (3) three times early dawn, if possible (3) three times in the morning and (3) three times in the evening time. If the situation persist the reader should recite the following thirty times:

O' the Beneficent, O' the Merciful, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful, I requested lenience from You which goes through its measures.[1]

SUPPLICATION FOR THE RELIEF ON THE DAY OF HIS REAPPEARANCE Sheikh No’maani narrates this supplication in his book ‘Al Ghaybah’ from Yunus bin Zibyaan that Imam Sadiq (A.S.) said:
When the eve of Friday arrives, Allah sends an angel towards the Heaven of this world. That blowing the dawn, that angel sits on the Throne situating himself above the ‘Bait ul Ma’moor’. Then he arranges pulpits of light for Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), Ali (A.S.), Imam Hasan and Imam Husain (peace be upon them), they ascend the pulpit, then the angles and the prophets and the believers gather around them and the doors of the Heaven opens wide.
When the time of Zuhr arrives, Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) says: “O’ Lord, when will the time of the fulfillment of promises made by You in Quran come?”
(And that promise is the following verse).
(Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient).
Thereafter, the angels and prophets recite the same supplication; then Mohammad, Ali, Hasan and Husain (peace be upon them) go in the state of prostration, and say:
“O’ Lord, be angry, as Your sanctity has been violated, Your chosen ones have been killed, Your nobles servants have been humiliated”
Allah will accept their supplication and the ‘Yaum ul Ma’loom’ is that same day.[2]

From the honorable Sayyid, a respected teacher, a godly cleric, a sage, a sublime jurisprudent, Sayyid Mohammad Hindi Najafi (R.A.), who narrates from an honorable scholar, Sayyid Hasan Qazweeni, who narrates from Sayyid Husain Shustari, an Imam of congregational prayer, narrates from his teacher that:
(At times of hardships and difficulties) stand bareheaded facing the Qibla and say, ««يا حُجَّةُ الْقائِمُ» 570 times. This act is a practiced and experienced one.[1]

Shaheed (may Allah have mercy on him) in his book ''Zikra'' said: Ibn Abi Aqeel has chosen this supplication base on what has been narrated from the commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) concerning Qunut:
He said: it gets to me that Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) use to command his followers to observe this supplication in their Qunut after reciting the words of relief (Faraj).[1]
Sayyid (may Allah have mercy on him) reported it in Mahji Dda'wah and Kafa'ami (may Allah have mercy on him) in Balad Al-Ameen that our master, the leader of the time observes this supplication in his Qunut.
“O’ Allah, Your springs of benevolence and dignity are brimming with Your bounties, and the gates of Your solitary supplications are open for all those who intend You, Your affectionate gazes are continuously aimed upon those who face towards Your courtyard with extreme humility and humbleness while fright and terror has reached its final extent and helplessness has become immense, the anticipators are incapable of further perseverance,
and You O’ Allah are in ambush for the schemers, You have not let them loose in spite of Your respite for them, only he who relies upon You relaxes in peace, who desires You is benefitting, who intends Your door, O’ Allah, is secured.
O’ Allah, punish them sooner who have oppressed to the final extent, and have continued his infidelity and ingratitude due to his ignorance towards his fate, Your forbearance has resulted in his lust greed for his motives, therefore they have hastened in committing bad deeds against Your friends and devotees, and place their wicked traps on their ways one after the other, and visit their houses and residences with the intention of harming them.
O’ Allah, lift Your punishment from the believers, and send it down upon the transgressors.
O’ Allah, keep Your torment away from those who seek refuge in You, and descend it upon the alternators.
O’ Allah, assist the groups of truth in haste, and destruct the supporters of oppression and tyranny immediately.
O’ Allah, make us fortunate with Your gratitude, and make victory our share, and protect us from the hastening evil, and from evil fate and lust”.[1] [1] Muhaj ud Da’waat: p. 82, Al Balad ul Amin: p. 657

1284. Mohajal-Da’waat Muntakhabul Athar
: (In a lengthy tradition in which he (r.a.) has recorded the qunoot of the infallible Imams (a.s.), he (r.a.) says): The qunoot of our master, al-Hujjah Muhammad Ibn al-Hasan (a.s.):
Arabic ?
For surely, O Allah, You have said and Your word is truth, “…until when the earth puts on its golden raiment and it becomes garnished, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, so We render it as reaped seed; produce, as though it had not been in existence yesterday; thus do We make clear the communications for a people who reflect.4 “ And You said, “Then when they displeased Us, We inflicted retribution on them…5 “ Surely, according to us, the end has reached, we are angry for Your anger, enthusiastic for helping the Truth, desirous of the advent of Your affair, anticipating the fulfillment of Your promise and expecting Your threat to fall on Your enemies.

1272. KitabFazl Ibn Shaazaan1 : From Ibn Mahboob from Amr Ibn Shimr, from Jaaber from [Imam] Abu Ja’far [al-Baqer] (a.s.) who said, “Anyone from you who meets our Qaem, he should tell him, ‘Peace be upon you, O household of Prophethood, treasure-chest of knowledge and place of Messengership’.” [Shaikh Saduq (a.r.)] has recorded in Kamaal al-Deen vide his chain of narrators from Muhammad Ibn Sinaan from Amr Ibn Shimr from Jaaber from [Imam] Abu Ja’far [al-Baqer] (a.s.) who said, “the knowledge of the Book of Allah – Mighty and Majestic – and the tradition of His Prophet (s.a.w.a.) will certainly grow in the heart of our Mahdi, like crops grow in the most fertile places. So, whoever amongst you survives to see him should say on seeing him, ‘Peace be upon you, O household of Mercy and Prophethood, treasure-chest of knowledge and place of Messengership!”

1274. Misbaah al-Mutahajjid1 : Informed us a group from our companions from Abu al-Mufazzal al-Shaybaani who said, “Narrated unto us Abu Muhammad Abdullah Ibn Muhammad al-Aabed at the water-wheel the following words, ‘I asked our master [Imam] Abu Muhammad al-Hasan Ibn Ali [al-Askari] (a.s.) in his house at Saamerraa circa 255, to dictate me a blessing upon the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and his successors (a.s.) and I had with me a long sheet of paper. So, he (a.s.) dictated to me words without (seeing from) any book. {He (a.s.) said: Write}Blessings upon the Prophet (s.a.w.a.)…Thereafter, he (a.s.) mentioned the blessings upon him (s.a.w.a.) and the Imams (a.s.), one after the other, till our master, Saaheb al-Zamaan (a.s.). He said the following words (sic),

“Blessings upon the Master of the Affair, the Awaited, the Owner of the Era, Muhammad Ibn al-Hasan Ibn Ali (peace be on them all). O Allah! Send blessings upon Your friend and the son of Your friends, whose obedience You have made obligatory, made their right compulsory, kept away from them all uncleanness and made them pure as is the right of purification. O Allah! Help him and grant him victory for Your religion and help him through Your friends, his friends, his followers and his helpers and make us from them. O Allah! Protect him from the evil of every rebel and insurgent person and from the evil of all Your creatures. Protect him from the front and behind, and from the right and left. Guard him and prevent any evil reaching him. Protect Your Messenger and the progeny of Your Messenger through him. Manifest justice through him, assist him through help, help his helpers, forsake those who forsake him, destroy through him the unbelieving despots, kill through him the disbelievers, the hypocrites, and all the apostates however they may be and wherever they may be in the East of the earth and its West, its land and its ocean. Fill the earth through him with justice and dominate through him the religion of Your Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and make me, O God, from his helpers, his aides, his followers and his adherents. Show me concerning the Progeny of Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) whatever they hope and (show me) concerning their enemies of whatever they are wary. O God of Truth, Amen!”

1275. Al-Ehtejaaj1 : From Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Ja’far alHimyari who reports, “A signed letter (tawqee’) came from the holy side – may Allah guard him (i.e. from Imam Mahdi)– after a few queries: “In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. You don’t think about His affairs. Consummate wisdom — but warnings do not avail2 the nation that does not believe. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. When you intend to turn to Allah through us and to us, then say as Allah – the High – has said, ‘Peace be upon the progeny of Yaaseen’ Peace be on you, O the caller of Allah and the nurturer of His signs…till the end of the Ziyaarah (Aale Yaaseen) and the supplication subsequent to it. Refer to the book alEhtejaaj and books of supplications and ziyaaraat. Recite his ziyaarat through it and other ziyaaraat that havecome through the Imams (a.s.) and other than them. Never leave attention to him especially in places and times in which emphasis has been laid to remember him. Also, don’t forget me in your righteous supplications, if Allah – the High – wishes.

1276. Al-Kaafi3 : Muhammad Ibn Yahya from Ja’far Ibn Muhammad from Is’haaq Ibn Ibraheem al-Daynoori from Umar Ibn Zaaher from [Imam] Abu Abdillah [al-Sadeq] (a.s.) (in a tradition in which it is prohibited from saluting the Qaem (a.s.) with the title ‘Ameerul Momineen’ as this epithet is specific and exclusive to our master Ameerul Momineen Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (a.s.) and after the condemnation of anyone who was addressed with this title, the narrator asked, ‘May I be held your ransom! How should he (a.t.f.s.) be saluted?’ He replied, ‘They say:
Peace be on you, O Remnant of Allah!’
Thereafter, he (a.s.) recited the verse, ‘What remains with Allah is better for you if you are believers.

Background
Supplicating Every Morning and Evening:
The supplicant adorns his days and nights with beautiful deeds
slaves and servants present themselves before their masters and lords every morning and evening, expressing their willingness to serve and gratitude for the bounties.
Then surely, we are more worthy of this because we know that all that Allah, Mighty and Glorified be He, has bestowed upon us of the abundant bounties and innumerable obligations, it is only due to the holy blessings of our master, Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.).
So, it is essential that you present yourself with all your limbs and total existence, every morn and eve, in his presence.
You should know that you are being watched and heard as he (a.t.f.s.) sees you although you don’t see him (a.t.f.s.) as he make preparations for the one whom he loves and cares for. As he (a.t.f.s.) wrote to Shaykh Mufeed (a.r.),
“Surely we are not negligent of your affairs nor are we unmindful of your remembrance. Had it not been so, calamities would have descended upon you and enemies would have overpowered you….”
