a)Imam Mohammed Baqir (a.s.) has said that after every mandatory prayer, there is no better invocation than the Tasbeeh e Fatima (a.s.). If there was any other, more effective, way of Praising Allah, the Prophet (a.s.) would most certainly have instructed his daughter about that. Imam Jafar e Sadiq(as) has said that reciting the Tasbeeh e Fatima (a.s.) after every compulsory prayer is better than performing a thousand ruku/genuflections :- Allaho Akbar (34 times) Alhamdu lillah (33 times ) Subhan Allah (33 times)

b) One should say once after reciting the Tasbeeh  La ilaha ilAllah لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

c) Imam Baqir (a.s.) says One who sits quietly after each mandatory prayer and recites 3 times the following , Allah will pardon all his sins:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfarallah allazi la ilaha illa huwal hayyal qayyumo zuljalal e wal ikraame wa aatube ilaihi

I seek forgiveness from the Lord (testifying) There is no God other than Him The Living and the Everlasting Of Majesty and Splendor And I turn to Him In Repentance!

d) Imam Sadiq (as)has said that if a person recites 30 times  Subhan Allah: after each compulsory prayer, all his sins will be pardoned

e) The following prayers and recommended devotional acts have been quoted from Shaykh al-��s��s famous book of Mi�b�h al-Mutahajjid and other reference books. After you say the Tasl�m repeat the Takb�r statement (i.e. all�hu akbar; Allah is the Greatest) three times while raising your hands to the level of your ears and then say:     MP3

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

l� il�ha ill� all�hu

There is no god save Allah;

إِلَهاً وَاحِداً

il�han w�hidan

One and Only God;

وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ

wa nahnu lah� muslim�na

and we are submissive to Him.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

l� il�ha ill� all�hu

There is no god save Allah

وَلاَ نَعْبُدُ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ

wa l� na`budu ill� iyy�hu

and we worship none save Him,

مُخْلِصينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ

mukhli��na lah� aldd�na

making our devotion sincere as in His sight,

وَلَوْ كَرَهَ ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ

wa law kariha almushrik�na

even though the polytheists may detest it.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

l� il�ha ill� all�hu

There is no god save Allah;

رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّ آبَائِنَا ٱلوَّلِينَ

rabbun� wa rabbu �b�'in� al-awwal�na

(He is) Our Lord and the Lord of our fathers of old.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ

l� il�ha ill� all�hu

There is no god save Allah;

وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ

wahdah� wahdah� wahdah�

Alone, alone, alone.

نْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ

anjaza wa`dah�

He has truly fulfilled His promise,

وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ

wa na�ara `abdah�

granted His servant victory,

وَعَزَّ جُنْدَهُ

wa a`azza jundah�

made powerful His soldiers,

وَهَزَمَ ٱلحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ

wa hazama al-ahz�ba wahdah�

and defeated the parties alone.

فَلَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ

falahu almulku wa lah� alhamdu

So, sovereignty be His and praise be His.

يُحْيي وَيُميتُ

yuhy� wa yum�tu

He grants life and causes (others) to die,

وَيُميتُ وَيُحْيي

wa yum�tu wa yuhy�

and (then) causes to die and raises from the dead;

وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ

wa huwa hayyun l� yam�tu

while He is eternally ever-living and He never dies.

بِيَدِهِ ٱلْخَيْرُ

biyadihi alkhayru

All goodness is at His Hand,

وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْء قَديرٌ

wa huwa `al� kulli shay'in qad�run

and He has power over all things.

 

Then, say the following:

I seek forgiveness of Allah; there is no god save Him,

astaghfiru all�ha alladh� l� il�ha ill� huwa

سْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

the Ever-living and Self-Subsisting; and to Him do I turn in repentance.

alhayyu alqayy�mu wa at�bu ilayhi

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ وَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

 

 

f).Then, say the following:  Mp3

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱهْدِنِي مِنْ عِنْدِكَ

all�humma ihdiny min `indika

O Allah, (please do) guide me to the true guidance of Yours,

وَفِضْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

wa afi� `alayya min fa�lika

pour upon me from Your grace,

وَٱنْشُرْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

wanshur `alayya min rahmatika

spread over me from Your mercy,

وَنْزِلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ بَرَكاتِكَ

wa anzil `alayya min barak�tika

and bring down upon me from Your blessings.

سُبْحَانَكَ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ نْتَ

subh�naka l� il�ha ill� anta

Glory be to You; there is no god save You.

ٱغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا جَمِيعاً

ighfir l� dhun�b� kullih� jam�`an

(Please) forgive my sins�all of them entirely,

فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ كُلَّهَا جَمِيعاً إِلاَّ نْتَ

fa'innah� l� yaghfiru aldhdhun�ba kullih� jam�`an ill� anta

because none can forgive all sins entirely save You.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ حَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ

all�humma inn� as'aluka min kulli khayrin ah��a bih� `ilmuka

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me part of all good things that are encompassed by Your knowledge

وَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ حَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ

wa a`�dhu bika min kulli sharrin ah��a bih� `ilmuka

and I seek Your protection against all evils that are encompassed by Your knowledge.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ عَافِيَتَكَ في امُوري كُلِّهَا

all�humma inn� as'aluka `�fiyataka f� um�r� kullih�

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me wellbeing from You in all of my affairs

وَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خِزْيِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ ٱلآخَرَةِ

wa a`�dhu bika min khizyi aldduny� wa `adh�bi al�khirati

and I seek Your protection against the disgrace of this world and the chastisement in the Next World.

وَعوُذُ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَرِيـمِ

wa a`�dhu biwajhika alkar�mi

I also seek protection of Your Noble Face,

وَعِزَّتِكَ ٱلَّتِي لاَ تُرَامُ

wa `izzatika allat� l� tur�mu

Your invulnerable omnipotence,

وَقُدْرَتِكَ ٱلَّتِي لاَ يَمْتَنِعُ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ

wa qudratika allat� l� yamtani`u minh� shay'un

and Your power that none can deter

مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

min sharri aldduny� wal-�khirati

against the evils of this world and the Next World,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ ٱلوْجَاعِ كُلِّهَا

wa min sharri alawj�`i kullih�

the evils of all pains,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ نْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

wa min sharri kulli d�bbatin anta �khidhun bin��iyatih�

and the evil of all moving creatures that You grasp from forelocks.

إنَّ رَبِّي عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ

inna rabb� `al� �ir��in mustaq�min

Verily, my Lord is on a Straight Path.

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa l� hawla wa l� quwwata ill� bill�hi al`aliyyi al`a��mi

There is neither strength nor power save with Allah, the All-high and All-great.

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ

tawakkaltu `al� alhayyi alladh� l� yam�tu

I put my trust in the Ever-living (Lord) Who never dies.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً

walhamdu lill�hi alladh� lam yattakhidh waladan

All praise be to Allah Who has not taken to Himself a son,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَريكٌ فِي ٱلْمُلْكِ

wa lam yakun lah� shar�kun f� almulki

nor has He had any partner in sovereignty,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ

wa lam yakun lah� waliyyun mina aldhdhulli

nor does He need any to protect Him from humiliation.

وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبيراً

wa kabbirhu takb�ran

And magnify Him with all magnificence.

 

g).Then, recite the Tasb�h al-Zahr�'  & Before you move from your prayer-place, repeat the following  ten times:

شْهَدُ نْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

ash-hadu an l� il�ha ill� all�hu

I bear witness that there is no god save Allah;

وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَريكَ لَهُ

wahdah� l� shar�ka lah�

(He is) One and Only; and there is no partner with Him;

إِلَهاً وَاحِداً

il�han w�hidan

a Single God;

حَداً فَرْداً صَمَداً

ahadan fardan �amadan

One, Unique, and eternally Besought of all.

لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلاَ وَلَداً

lam yattakhidh ��hibatan wa l� waladan

He has taken to Himself neither a wife nor a son.

 

h.It is narrated that a great reward is obtained by saying this, especially after the Dawn (Fajr) and Evening (`Ish�') obligatory Prayers and at sunrise and sunset.  Mp3

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ كُلَّما سَبَّحَ ٱللَّهَ شَيءٌ

subh�na all�hi kullam� sabbaha all�ha shay'un

All Glory be to Allah whenever Allah is glorified by things,

وَكَمَا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ نْ يُسَبَّحَ

wa kam� yuhibbu all�hu an yusabbaha

as exactly as Allah likes to be glorified,

وَكَمَا هُوَ هْلُهُ

wa kam� huwa ahluh�

as exactly as He is worthy of glorification,

وَكمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِهِ

wa kam� yanbagh� likarami wajhih� wa `izzi jal�lih�

and as it is suitable for the nobility of His Face and the might of His Majesty.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كُلَّمَا حَمِدَ ٱللَّهَ شَيءٌ

walhamdu lill�hi kullam� hamida all�ha shay'un

All praise be to Allah whenever Allah is praised by things,

وَكَمَا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ نْ يُحْمَدَ

wa kam� yuhibbu all�hu an yuhmada

as exactly as Allah likes to be praised,

وَكَمَا هُوَ هْلُهُ

wa kam� huwa ahluh�

as exactly as He is worthy of praising,

وَكَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِهِ

wa kam� yanbagh� likarami wajhih� wa `izzi jal�lih�

and as it is suitable for the nobility of His Face and the might of His Majesty.

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ كُلَّمَا هَلَّلَ ٱللَّهَ شَيءٌ

wa l� il�ha ill� all�hu kullam� hallala all�ha shay'un

There is no god save Allah whenever Allah�s Oneness in Godhead is professed,

وَكَمَا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ نْ يُهَلَّلَ

wa kam� yuhibbu all�hu an yuhallala

as exactly as Allah likes His Oneness in Godhead to be professed,

وَكَمَا هُوَ هْلُهُ

wa kam� huwa ahluh�

as exactly as He is worthy of being the One and Only God,

وَكَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِهِ

wa kam� yanbagh� likarami wajhih� wa `izzi jal�lih�

and as it is suitable for the nobility of His Face and the might of His Majesty.

وَٱللَّهُ كْبَرُ كُلَّمَا كَبَّرَ ٱللَّهَ شَيءٌ

wall�hu akbaru kullam� kabbara all�ha shay'un

Allah is the Greatest whenever Allah�s Most Greatness is professed,

وَكَمَا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ نْ يُكَبَّرَ

wa kam� yuhibbu all�hu an yukabbara

as exactly as Allah likes His Most Greatness to be professed,

وَكَمَا هُوَ هْلُهُ

wa kam� huwa ahluh�

as exactly as He is worthy of being the Greatest,

وَكَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلاَلِهِ

wa kam� yanbagh� likarami wajhih� wa `izzi jal�lih�

and as it is suitable for the nobility of His Face and the might of His Majesty.

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ

subh�na all�hi

All glory be to Allah;

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

walhamdu lill�hi

all praise be to Allah;

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

wa l� il�ha ill� all�hu

there is no god save Allah;

وَٱللَّهُ كْبَرُ

wall�hu akbaru

and Allah is the Greatest

عَلَىٰ كُلِّ نِعْمَة نْعَمَ بِهَا عَلَيَّ

`al� kulli ni`matin an`ama bih� `alayya

for all bounties that He has bestowed upon me

وَعَلىٰ كُلِّ حَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ

wa `al� kulli ahadin min khalqih�

and upon each and every being of His creatures,

مِمَّنْ كَانَ وْ يَكُونُ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ

mimman k�na aw yak�nu il� yawmi alqiy�mati

including those who passed away and those who will exist up to the Resurrection Day.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ نْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد

all�humma inn� as'aluka an tu�alliya `al� muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

O Allah, I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَ سْلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا رْجُو

wa as'aluka min khayri m� arj�

and I beseech You to grant me the best of what I hope

وَخَيْرِ مَا لاَ رْجُو

wa khayri m� l� arj�

and the best of what I have not included with my hopes.

وَ عُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا حْذَرُ

wa a`�dhu bika min sharri m� ahdharu

I also beseech You to protect me against the evil of what I anticipate

وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لاَ حْذَرُ

wa min sharri m� l� ahdharu

and the evils of what I do not anticipate.

 

Then, recite the following Qur'�nic texts:

(1) S�rah al-�amd (i.e. al-F�tihah No. 1), (2) �yah al-Kurs� (2:255-257), (3) Verses of Bearing Witness (�yat al-Shah�dah; 3:18-19), (4) Verses of Kingdom (�yah al-Mulk; 3:26-27), and (5) Verses of Subservience (�yah al-Sakharah 7:54-56).

 

i.Then, repeat the following verses (S�rah al-��ff�t 37:180-183) three times:

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

subh�na rabbika rabbi al-`izzati `amm� ya�if�na

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.

وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa sal�mun `al� almursal�na

And peace be on the messengers.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ.

walhamdu lill�hi rabbi al`�lam�na

And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Then, repeat the following   prayer three times:

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

all�humma �alli `al� muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

O Allah, (Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ مْرِي فَرَجاً وَمَخْرَجاً

waj`al l� min amr� farajan wa makhrajan

cause all my affairs to arrive at a relief, prepare for me a way out,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي مِنْ حَيْثُ حْتَسِبُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ حْتَسِبُ

warzuqn� min haythu ahtasibu wa min haythu l� ahtasibu

and give me sustenance from whence I think and from whence I do not think.

 

j.This   prayer was taught by Archangel Gabriel to Prophet Y�suf (Joseph)�peace be upon him�when he was in prison.

hold your beard with your right hand, raise your left hand towards the sky, and repeat the following   prayer seven times:

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

y�rabba muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

O Lord of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad:

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

�alli `al� muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

(Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa `ajjil faraja �li muhammadin

and hasten the Relief of the Household of Muhammad.

 

Keeping on the same situation, repeat the following   prayer three times:

يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

y� dhaljal�li wal-ikr�mi

O Lord of Majesty and Honor,

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

�alli `al� muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

(Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱرْحَمْنِي وَ جِرْنِي مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

warhamn� wa ajirn� mina alnn�ri

have mercy upon me, and deliver me from Hellfire.

 

After repeating S�rah al-Ikhl�� (or al-Tawh�d; No. 112) twelve times, say the following   prayer: Mp3

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ٱلْمَخْزُونِ

all�humma inn� as'aluka bismika almakn�ni almakhz�ni

O Allah, I beseech You in Your Name: the well-guarded, stored,

ٱلطَّاهِرِ ٱلطُّهْرِ ٱلْمُبَارَكِ

al���hiri al��uhri almub�raki

pure, immaculate, and blessed.

وَ سْلُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa as'aluka bismika al`a��mi

And I beseech You in Your Great Name

وَسُلْطَانِكَ ٱلْقَدِيـمِ

wa sul��nika alqad�mi

and Your eternal power.

يَا وَاهِبَ ٱلْعَطَايَا

y� w�hiba al`a��y�

O Donor of gifts!

وَيَا مُطْلِقَ ٱلاسَارَىٰ

wa y� mu�liqa al-us�r�

O Releaser of captives!

وَيَا فَكَّاكَ ٱلرِّقَابِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa y� fakk�ka alrriq�bi mina alnn�ri

O Deliverer of necks from the Fire!

سْلُكَ نْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

as'aluka an tu�alliya `al� muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَ نْ تُعْتِقَ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa an tu`tiqa raqabat� mina alnn�ri

to deliver me from the Fire,

وَ نْ تُخْرِجَنِي مِنَ ٱلدُّنْيَا سَالِماً

wa an tukhrijan� mina aldduny� s�liman

to cause me leave this world free (from liabilities),

وَتُدْخِلَنِي ٱلْجَنَّةَ آمِناً

wa tudkhilan� aljannata �minan

to allow me to Paradise with security,

وَ نْ تَجْعَلَ دُعَائِي وَّلَهُ فَلاَحاً

wa an taj`ala du`�'� awwalah� fal�han

and to make the beginning of my prayer successful,

وَ وْسَطَهُ نَجَاحاً

wa awsa�ah� naj�han

the middle of it a gain,

وَآخِرَهُ صَلاَحاً

wa �khirah� �al�han

and the end of it a prosperity.

إِنَّكَ نْتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ

innaka anta `all�mu alghuy�bi

Verily, You are the Knower of all unseen things.

 

k.According to al-�ah�fah al-`Alawiyyah (a collection of Imam `Al��s supplications), the following  prayer is said after the obligatory prayers:  Mp3

يَا مَنْ لاَ يَشْغَلُهُ سَمْعٌ عَنْ سَمْعٍ

y� man l� yashghaluh� sam`un `an sam`in

O He Who is not distracted by a sound from hearing another sound!

وَيَا مَنْ لاَ يُغَلِّطُهُ ٱلسَّائِلُونَ

wa y� man l� yughalli�uh� alss�'il�na

O He Who is not confused by the beseechers!

وَيَا مَنْ لاَ يُبْرِمُهُ إِلْحَاحُ ٱلْمُلِحِّينَ

wa y� man l� yubrimuh� ilh�hu almulihh�na

O He Who is not annoyed by the insistence of those who entreat Him persistently!

ذِقْنِي بَرْدَ عَفْوِكَ

adhiqn� barda `afwika

(Please do) Make me taste the nice flavor of Your pardon

وَحَلاَوَةَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَمَغْفِرَتِكَ

wa hal�wata rahmatika wa maghfiratika

and the sweetness of Your mercy and forgiveness.

You may also say the following  prayer: Mp3

إِلٰهِي هٰذِهِ صَلاَتِي صَلَّيْتُهَا

il�h� h�dhih� �al�t� �allaytuh�

O Allah, This is my prayer that I have just offered

لاَ لِحَاجَة مِنْكَ إِلَيْهَا

l� lih�jatin minka ilayh�

on account of neither a need that You may have for it

وَلاَ رَغْبَةٍ مِنْكَ فِيهَا

wa l� raghbatin minka f�h�

nor a desire that You may have for it;

إِلاَّ تَعْظِيمَاً وَطَاعَةً

ill� ta`��man wa ��`atan

rather, it is only glorification of You, obedience to You,

وَإِجَابَةً لَكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَرْتَنِي بِهِ

wa ij�batan laka il� m� amartan� bih�

and response to You to carry out what You have ordered me to do.

إِلٰهِي إِنْ كَانَ فِيهَا خَلَلٌ وْ نَقْصٌ

il�h� in k�na f�h� khalalun aw naq�un

O my God: If there is a defect or a deficiency in my prayer,

مِنْ رُكُوعِهَا وْ سُجُودِهَا

min ruk�`ih� aw suj�dih�

whether in the genuflection or the prostration;

فَلاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي

fal� tu��khidhn�

then, (please) do not reproach me for it;

وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ بِٱلْقَبُولِ وَٱلْغُفْرَانِ

wa tafa��al `alayya bilqab�li wal-ghufr�ni

rather, confer upon me with Your acceptance (of it) and forgiveness (of me).

 

l.After ritual prayers, you may also say the following  prayer, which the Holy Prophet (�) taught to Imam Al� Am�r al-Mu'min�n (`a) for developing memoryMp3:

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لاَ يَعْتَدي عَلَىٰ هْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ

subh�na man l� ya`tad� `al� ahli mamlakatih�

Glory be to Him Who does not treat the people of His realm with transgression!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لاَ يَاخُذُ هْلَ ٱلرْضِ بِلْوَانِ الْعَذَابِ

subh�na man l� ya'khudhu ahla al-ar�i bi-alw�ni al`adh�bi

Glory be to Him Who does not inflict on the inhabitants of the earth various sorts of torture!

سُبْحَانَ ٱلرَّؤوُفِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

subh�na alrra'�fi alrrah�mi

Glory be to the Affectionate, the Merciful!

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجَعلْ لِي فِي قَلْبِي نُوراً وَبَصَراً

all�humma ij`al l� f� qalb� n�ran wa ba�aran

O Allah, (please) fill my heart with illumination, discernment,

وَفَهْمَاً وَعِلْمَاً

wa fahman wa `ilman

(faculty of) understanding, and knowledge.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ

innaka `al� kulli shay'in qad�run

Verily, You have power over all things.

 

m.Al-Kaf`am�, in his book of al-Mi�b�h, cites that it is advisable to repeat the following  prayer three times after obligatory prayers: Mp3

اعِيذُ نَفْسي وَدِينِي

u`�dhu nafs� wa d�n�

I seek for myself, my religion,

وَ هْلِي وَمَالِي

wa ahl� wa m�l�

my family members, my possessions,

وَوَلَدِي وَإِخْوَانِي فِي دِينِي

wa walad� wa ikhw�n� f� d�n�

my descendants, my brethren-in-faith,

وَمَا رَزَقَنِي رَبِّي وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِي

wa m� razaqan� rabb� wa khaw�t�ma `amal�

all sustenance that my Lord has provided to me as sustenance, the results of my deeds,

وَمَنْ يَعْنِينِي مْرُهُ

wa man ya`n�n� amruh�

and whomever I may concern about,

بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْوَاحِدِ

bill�hi alw�hidi

(I seek for all these) the protection of Allah, the Single,

ٱلحَدِ ٱلصَّمَدِ

al-ahadi al��amadi

the One, and the eternally Besought of all

ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

alladh� lam yalid wa lam y�lad

Who begets not, nor is He begotten;

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً حَدٌ

wa lam yakun lah� kufwan ahadun

and the like of Whom there is none.

وَبِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ

wa birabbi alfalaqi

And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of the dawn

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

min sharri m� khalaqa

from the evil of what He has created,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

wa min sharri gh�siqin idh� waqaba

the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي ٱلْعُقَدِ

wa min sharri alnnaff�th�ti f� al`uqadi

the evil of those who blow on knots,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

wa min sharri h�sidin idh� hasada

and the evil of the envious when he envies.

وَبِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

wa birabbi alnn�si

And [I seek the protection of] the Lord of men,

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

maliki alnn�si

the King of men,

إِلٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ

il�hi alnn�si

the God of men,

مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ

min sharri alwasw�si alkhann�si

from the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan),

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

alladh� yuwaswisu f� �ud�ri alnn�si

who whispers into the hearts of men

مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

mina aljinnati walnn�si

from among the jinn and the men.

 

n.It is narrated in an inscription handwritten by Shaykh al-Shah�d that the Holy Prophet (�) said: Whoever desires that Almighty Allah will not show him his evildoings (that he did in this world) on the Resurrection Day and will not open the record of his evildoings, should say the following  prayer after each obligatory prayer:Mp3

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ رْجَىٰ مِنْ عَمَلِي

all�humma inna maghfirataka arj� min `amal�

O Allah, Truly, I hope for Your forgiveness more than I trust my deed.

وَإِنَّ رَحْمَتِكَ وْسَعُ مِنْ ذَنْبِي

wa inna rahmataka awsa`u min dhanb�

Your mercy is verily more expansive than my sin.

اَللَّهُمَّ إنْ كَانَ ذَنبِي عِنْدَكَ عَظِيماً

all�humma in k�na dhanb� `indaka `a��man

O Allah, If my sin is grave in Your view,

فَعَفْوُكَ عْظَمُ مِنْ ذَنْبِي

fa`afwuka a`�amu min dhanb�

then Your pardon is greater than my sin.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنْ لَمْ كُنْ هْلاً نْ بْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ

all�humma in lam akun ahlan an ablugha rahmataka

O Allah, If I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,

فَرَحْمَتُكَ هْلٌ نْ تَبْلُغَنِي وَتَسَعَنِي

farahmatuka ahlun an tablughan� wa tasa`an�

then Your mercy is so liberal that it can reach and include me,

لنَّهَا وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

li-annah� wasi`at kulla shay'in

because it has included all things;

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا رْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمينَ

birahmatika y� arhama alrr�him�na

[Let it be] by Your mercy; O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

 

o.Ibn B�bawayh (i.e. Shaykh al-�ad�q) holds that one should say the following immediately after Tasb�h al-Zahr�':  Mp3 PDF Image

اَللَّهُمَّ نْتَ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

all�humma anta alssal�mu

O Allah, You are the [source of] peace,

وَمِنْكَ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa minka alssal�mu

peace is coming from You,

وَلَكَ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa laka alssal�mu

peace is for You,

وَإِلَيْكَ يَعُودُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa ilayka ya`�du alssal�mu

and to You does peace belong.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

subh�na rabbika rabbi al`izzati `amm� ya�if�na

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.

وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَىٰ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa sal�mun `al� almursal�na

Peace be on the messengers.

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

walhamdu lill�hi rabbi al`�lam�na

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ

alssal�mu `alayka ayyuh� alnnabiyyu

Peace be upon you, O Prophet.

وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

wa rahmatu all�hi wa barak�tuh�

Allah�s mercy and blessings be upon you.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلئِمَّةِ ٱلْهَادِينَ ٱلْمَهْدِيِّينَ

alssal�mu `al� al-a'immati alh�d�na almahdiyy�na

Peace be upon the Imams; the guides and well-guided.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ نْبِيَاءِ ٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ

alssal�mu `al� jam�`i anby�'i all�hi wa rusulih� wa mal�'ikatih�

Peace be upon all Prophets, Messengers, and angels of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ عِبَادِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

alssal�mu `alayn� wa `al� `ib�di all�hi al���lih�na

Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيٍّ ميرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنينَ

alssal�mu `al� `aliyyin am�ri almu'min�na

Peace be upon `Al�, the Commander of the Believers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ

alssal�mu `al� alhasani wal-husayni

Peace be upon al-�asan and al-�usayn,

سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ هْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ جْمَعينَ

sayyiday shab�bi ahli aljannati ajma`�na

the two chiefs of all the youth of Paradise.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ زَيْنِ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ

alssal�mu `al� `aliyyi bni alhusayni zayni al`�bid�na

Peace be upon `Al� the son of al-�usayn, the Adornment of the Worshippers.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ بَاقِرِ عِلْمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

alssal�mu `al� muhammadi bni `aliyyin b�qiri `ilmi alnnabiyy�na

Peace be upon Muhammad the son of `Al�, the splitter of the knowledge of the Prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلصَّادِقِ

alssal�mu `al� ja`fari bni muhammadin al���diqi

Peace be upon Ja`far the son of Muhammad, the veracious.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ٱلْكَاظِمِ

alssal�mu `al� m�s� bni ja`farin alk��imi

Peace be upon M�s� the son of Ja`far, the suppressor of rage.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَىٰ ٱلرِّضَا

alssal�mu `al� `aliyyi bni m�s� alrri��

Peace be upon `Al� the son of M�s�, the amiable.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْجَوَادِ

alssal�mu `al� muhammadi bni `aliyyin aljaw�di

Peace be upon Muhammad the son of `Al�, the magnanimous.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْهَادِي

alssal�mu `al� `aliyyi bni muhammadin alh�d�

Peace be upon `Al� the son of Muhammad, the guide.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلزَّكِيِّ ٱلْعَسْكَرِيِّ

alssal�mu `al� alhasani bni `aliyyin alzzakiyyi al`askariyyi

Peace be upon al-�asan the son of `Al�, the bright and resident of `Askari

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُجَّةِ بْنِ ٱلْحَسَنِ ٱلْقَائِمِ ٱلْمَهْدِيِّ

alssal�mu `al� alhujjati bni alhasani alq�'imi almahdiyyi

Peace be upon the Argument (of Allah), the son of al-�asan, the Assumer and the well-guided.

صَلَوَاتُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ جْمَعينَ

�alaw�tu all�hi `alayhim ajma`�na

Blessings of Allah be upon them all.

After saying this , one may pray to Almighty Allah to grant him all his personal desires.

 

p.Shaykh al-Kaf`am� has also said that one should utter the following  after the obligatory prayers: Mp3

رَضِيتُ بِٱللَّهِ رَبّاً

ra��tu bill�hi rabban

I have submitted to Allah being my Lord,

وَبِٱلإِسْلاَمِ ديناً

wa bil-isl�mi d�nan

to Islam being my religion,

وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ نَبِيّاً

wa bimuhammadin �all� all�hu `alayhi wa �lihi nabiyyan

to Muhammad�peace be upon him and his Household�being the Prophet,

وَبِعَلِيٍّ إِمَامَاً

wa bi`aliyyin im�man

to `Al� being my leader,

وَبِٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ

wa bilhasani wal-husayni

to al-�asan, al-�usayn,

وَعَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدٍ

wa `aliyyin wa muhammadin

`Al�, Muhammad,

وَجَعْفَر وَمُوسَىٰ

wa ja`farin wa m�s�

Ja`far, M�s�,

وَعَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدٍ

wa `aliyyin wa muhammadin

`Al�, Muhammad,

وَعَلِيٍّ وَٱلْحَسَنِ

wa `aliyyin wal-hasani

`Al�, al-�asan,

وَٱلْخَلَفِ ٱلصَّالِحِ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wal-khalafi al���lihi `alayhimu alssal�mu

and the Righteous Successor�peace be upon them all�

ئِمَّةً وَسَادَةً وَقَادَةً

a'immatan wa s�datan wa q�datan

being my Imams, masters, and leaders.

بِهِمْ تَولَّىٰ وَمِنْ عْدَائِهِمْ تَبَرَّا

bihim atawall� wa min a`d�'ihim atabarra'u

Only them should I follow and their enemies will I disavow.

You should then repeat the following  prayer three times:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ ٱلْعَفْوَ وَٱلْعَافِيَةَ

all�humma inn� as'aluka al`afwa wal-`�fiyata

O Allah, I ask You for amnesty, good health,

وَٱلْمُعَافَاةَ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wal-mu`�fata f� aldduny� wal-�khirati

and wellbeing in this world as well as the Next World.
 

 

5  Supplications Before and After Ritual Prayers (baqiyatus salehat )

 

 

Five in number, these  prayers are as follows:

 

First: Imam al-��diq (`a) is reported to have said: Imam `Al� Am�r al-Mu'min�n (`a) used to say: Whoever says these words, will be added to the group of Muhammad and his Household:Before commencing a ritual prayer, the following  prayer may be said:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي تَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

all�humma inn� atawajjah� ilayka bimuhammadin wa �li muhammadin

O Allah, I turn my face towards You in the name of Muhammad and Muhammad�s Household,

وَاقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَلَوَاتِي

wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday �alaw�t�

present them before You before I begin my prayers,

وَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِمْ إِلَيْكَ

wa ataqarrabu bihim ilayka

and seek nearness to You in their names.

فَٱجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيهاً

faj`aln� bihim waj�han

So, in their names, (please) make me of high regard with You

فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

f� aldduny� wal-�khirati

in this world and the Hereafter

وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa min almuqarrab�na

and of those drawn near to You.

مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ

mananta `alayya bima`rifatihim

You have endued me with the great favor of making me know them;

فَٱخْتِم لِي بِطَاعَتِهِمْ

fakhtim l� bi��`atihim

so, (please) seal my life with obedience to them,

وَمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ وَوِلاَيَتِهِمْ

wa ma`rifatihim wa wil�yatihim

recognition of them, and loyalty to them,

فَإِنَّهَا ٱلسَّعَادَةُ

fa'innah� alssa`�datu

because this is the true happiness.

وَٱخْتِمْ لِي بِهَا

wakhtim l� bih�

Therefore, (please) seal my life with these things,

فَإِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

fa'innaka `al� kulli shay'in qad�run

for You have power over all things.

 

Upon accomplishment of the prayer, the following  prayer may be said:

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

all�humma ij`aln� ma`a muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

O Allah, (please) make me with Muhammad and Muhammad�s Household

فِي كُلِّ عَافِيَةٍ وَبَلاَءٍ

f� kulli `�fiyatin wa bal�'in

in every item of wellbeing and tribulation

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

waj`aln� ma`a muhammadin wa �li muhammadin

and make me with Muhammad and Muhammad�s Household

فِي كُلِّ مَثْوىًٰ وَمُنْقَلَبٍ

f� kulli mathwan wa munqalabin

in every place of returning and place of rest.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَاهُمْ

all�humma ij`al mahy�ya mahy�hum

O Allah, (please) make me live their lives

وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَهُمْ

wa mam�t� mam�tahum

and die their death,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي ٱلْمَوَاطِنِ كُلِّهَا

waj`aln� ma`ahum f� almaw��ini kullih�

include me with them in all situations,

وَلاَ تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ

wa l� tufarriq bayn� wa baynahum

and do not depart me from them.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `al� kulli shay'in qad�run

Verily, You have power over all things.

 

 

Second: �afw�n al-Jamm�l is reported to have said: I was once with Imam al-��diq (`a). He directed his face towards the kiblah direction (for performing a prayer) and said the following  prayer before he uttered the takb�rah al-ihr�m statement (i.e. the commencing statement of the ritual prayers):

اَللَّهُمَّ لاَ تُؤْيِسْنِي مِنْ رَوْحِكَ

all�humma l� tu'yisn� min rawhika

O Allah, (please) do not make me despair of Your soothing mercy,

وَلاَ تُقَنِّطْنِي مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

wa l� tuqanni�n� min rahmatika

do not make me lose hope of Your mercy,

وَلاَ تُؤْمِنِّي مَكْرَكَ

wa l� tu'minn� makraka

and do not make me feel secure against Your plans,

فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَامَنُ مَكْرَ ٱللَّهِ إِلاَّ ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلْخَاسِرُونَ

fa'innah� l� ya'manu makra all�hi ill� alqawmu alkh�sir�na

for none feels secure against Allah�s plans except the losing people.

 

 

Third: Imam al-��diq (`a) is reported to have said: Imam `Al� Am�r al-Mu'min�n (`a) used to say the following  prayer whenever he accomplished the midday (i.e. �uhr) prayer:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي تَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ

all�humma inn� ataqarrabu ilayka bij�dika wa karamika

O Allah, I seek nearness to You in the name of Your magnanimity and generosity,

وَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُو لِكَ

wa ataqarrabu ilayka bimuhammadin `abdika wa ras�lika

I seek nearness to You in the name of Muhammad Your servant and messenger,

وَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ بِمَلاَئِكَتِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa ataqarrabu ilayka bimal�'ikatika almuqarrab�na

and I seek nearness to You in the name of Your archangels,

وَنْبِيَائِكَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ وَبِكَ

wa anbiy�'ika almursal�na wa bika

Your missioned prophets, and You.

اَللَّهُمَّ نْتَ ٱلْغَنِيُّ عَنِّي

all�humma anta alghaniyyu `ann�

O Allah, You are independent of me

وَبِيَ ٱلْفَاقَةُ إِلَيْكَ

wa biya alf�qatu ilayka

while I am in need for You.

نْتَ ٱلْغَنِيُّ وَنَا ٱلْفَقِيرُ إِلَيْكَ

anta alghaniyyu wa an� alfaq�ru ilayka

You are the self-sufficient while I am needy for You.

قَلْتَنِي عَثْرَتِي

aqaltan� `athrat�

You have overlooked my slips

وَسَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبِي

wa satarta `alayya dhun�b�

and covered my sins;

فَٱقْضِ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَاجَتِي

faq�i alyawma h�jat�

so, (please) grant my request on this day

وَلاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي بِقَبِيحِ مَا تَعْلَمُ مِنِّي

wa l� tu`adhdhibn� biqab�hi m� ta`lamu minn�

and do not punish me for the hideous things You know about me.

بَلْ عَفْوُكَ وَجُودُكَ يَسَعُنِي

bal `afwuka wa j�duka yasa`un�

Rather, Your pardon and Your magnanimity are so expansive that they can encompass me.

 

He would then prostrate himself and say the following  prayer:

يَا هْلَ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ

y� ahla alttaqw�

O worthy to be feared!

وَيَا هْلَ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

wa y� ahla almaghfirati

O worthy to forgive!

يَا بَرُّ يَا رَحِيمُ

y� barru y� rah�mu

O All-benign! O All-merciful!

نْتَ بَرُّ بِي مِنْ بِي وَامِّي

anta abarru b� min ab� wa umm�

You are more benign to me than my father, my mother,

وَمِنْ جَمِيعِ ٱلْخَلاَئِقِ

wa min jam�`i alkhal�'iqi

and all creatures.

ٱقْلِبْنِي بِقَضَاءِ حَاجَتِي

iqlibn� biqa��'i h�jat�

(Please) make me return having my request granted (by You),

مُجَاباً دُعَائِي

muj�ban du`�'�

having my prayer responded,

مَرْحُوماً صَوْتِي

marh�man �awt�

having my voice compassionated,

قَدْ كَشَفْتَ نْوَاعَ ٱلْبَلاَءِ عَنِّي

qad kashafta anw�`a albal�'i `anna�

and having all sorts of tribulation held off from me.

 

 

Fourth: Imam Muhammad al-Taq� (`a) is reported to have said: When you accomplish an obligatory prayer, you may say the following  prayer Image:

رَضِيتُ بِٱللَّهِ رَبّاً

ra��tu bill�hi rabban

I have submitted to Allah being my Lord,

وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيّاً

wa bimuhammadin nabiyyan

Muhammad being my prophet,

وَبِٱلإِسْلاَمِ دِيناً

wa bil-isl�mi d�nan

Islam being my religion,

وَبِٱلْقُرْآنِ كِتَاباً

wa bilqur'�ni kit�ban

the Qur'�n being my Book,

وَبِعَليٍّ وَٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ

wa bi`aliyyin walhasani walhusayni

`Al�, al-�asan, al-�usayn,

وَعَليٍّ وَمُحَمَّدٍ وَجعفرٍ

wa `aliyyin wa muhammadin wa ja`farin

`Al�, Muhammad, Ja`far,

وَمُوسَىٰ وَعَلِيٍّ وَمُحمَّدٍ

wa m�s� wa `aliyyin wa muhmmdin

M�s�, `Al�, Muhammad,

وَعَلِيٍّ وَٱلحَسَنِ وَٱلحُجَّةِ

wa `aliyyin walhasani walhujjati

`Al�, al-�asan, and the Argument-person,

عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ (ئِمَّةً)

`alayhim alssal�mu (a'immatan)

peace be upon them, (to be my Imams).

اَللَّهُمَّ وَلِيُّكَ ٱلحُجَّةَُ ٱلقَائِمُ

all�humma waliyyuka alhujjatu alq�'imu

Allah, as for Your representative, the argument, and the rising Imam,

فَٱحْفَظْهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ

fahfa�hu min bayni yadayhi wa min khalfih�

(please) safeguard him from his front, back,

وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ

wa `an yam�nih� wa `an shim�lih�

right side, left side,

وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِ وَمِنْ تَحْتِهِ

wa min fawqih� wa min tahtih�

above him, and beneath him;

وَٱمْدُدْ لَهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ

wamdud lah� f� `umrih�

increase his lifetime;

وَٱجْعَلْهُ ٱلْقَائِمَ بِمْرِكَ

waj`alhu alq�'ima bi'amrika

make him undertake (the mission of carrying out) Your decree

وَٱلْمُنْتَصِرَ لِدِينِكَ

walmunta�ira lid�nika

and defend Your religion triumphantly;

وَرِهِ مَا يُحِبُّ وَمَا تَقَرُّ بِهِ عَيْنُهُ

wa arih� m� yuhibbu wa m� taqarru bih� `aynuh�

give him what he likes and what gives him pleasure

فِي نَفْسِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ

f� nafsih� wa dhurriyyatih�

as regards himself, his progeny,

وَفِي هْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ

wa f� ahlih� wa m�lih�

his family members, his property,

وَفِي شِيعَتِهِ وَفِي عَدُوِّهِ

wa f� sh�`atih� wa f� `aduwwih�

his partisans, and his enemies;

وَرِهِمْ مِنْهُ مَا يَحْذَرُونَ

wa arihim minhu m� yahdhar�na

make his enemies encounter what they fear to encounter from him;

وَرِهِ فِيهِمْ مَا يُحِبُّ وَتُقِرُّ بِهِ عَيْنَهُ

wa arih� f�him m� yuhibbu wa tuqirru bih� `aynah�

make him see what he loves to see and what gives him pleasure with regard to his enemies;

وَٱشْفِ بِهِ صُدُورَنَا

washfi bih� �ud�ran�

and heal through him our hearts

وَصُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ

wa �ud�ra qawmin mu'min�na

and the hearts of the believing people.

 

 

Whenever he accomplished an obligatory prayer, the Holy Prophet (�) would say this  prayer: Pdf  Jpg

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا خَّرْتُ

all�humma ighfir l� m� qaddamtu wa m� akhkahartu

O Allah, (please) forgive me my sins: the past, the coming,

وَمَا سْرَرْتُ وَمَا عْلَنْتُ

wa m� asrartu wa m� a`lantu

the hidden, and the open,

وَإِسْرَافِي عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي

wa isr�f� `al� nafs�

as well as my transgression against myself

وَمَا نْتَ عْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي

wa m� anta a`lamu bih� minn�

and all that which You know better than I do.

اَللَّهُمَّ نْتَ ٱلْمُقَدِّمُ وَٱلْمُؤَخِّرُ

all�humma anta almuqaddimu walmu'akhkhiru

O Allah, You are the One Who brings forward and puts off�

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ نْتَ

l� il�ha ill� anta

there is no god save You�

بِعِلْمِكَ ٱلْغَيْبَ

bi`ilmika alghayba

on account of Your knowledge about the unseen

وَبِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلْقِ جْمَعِينَ

wa biqudratika `al� alkhalqi ajma`�na

and your power over all of the creatures.

مَا عَلِمْتَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ خَيْراً لِي فَحْيِنِي

m� `alimta alhayata khayran l� fa'ahyin�

(Please) keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me (than death),

وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا عَلِمْتَ ٱلْوَفَاةَ خَيْراً لِي

wa tawaffan� idh� `alimta alwaf�ta khayran l�

but cause me to die when You know that death is better for me (than survival).

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ خَشْيَتَكَ

all�humma inn� as'aluka khashyataka

O Allah, I beseech You for fear of You

فِي ٱلسِّرِّ وَٱلْعَلاَنِيَةِ

f� alssirri wal`al�niyati

in hidden and in open situations,

وَكَلِمَةَ ٱلْحَقِّ فِي ٱلْغَضَبِ وَٱلرِّضَا

wa kalimata alhaqqi f� algha�abi walrri��

for uttering the word of truth in anger and in pleasure,

وَٱلْقَصْدَ فِي ٱلْفَقْرِ وَٱلْغِنَىٰ

walqa�da f� alfaqri walghin�

and for economy in poverty and in richness.

وَسْلُكَ نَعِيماً لاَ يَنْفَدُ

wa as'aluka na`�man l� yanfadu

I also beseech You for inexhaustible bliss

وَقُرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لاَ تَنْقَطِعُ

wa qurrata `aynin l� tanqa�i`u

and for incessant delight.

وَسْلُكَ ٱلرِّضَا بِٱلْقَضَاءِ

wa as'aluka alrri�� bilqa��'i

I also beseech You for satisfaction with decrees,

وَبَرَكَةَ ٱلْمَوْتِ بَعْدَ ٱلْعَيْشِ

wa barakata almawti ba`da al`ayshi

for the blessing of death after life,

وَبَرْدَ ٱلْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ

wa barda al`ayshi ba`da almawti

for the glee of life after death,

وَلَذَّةَ ٱلْمَنْظَرِ إِلَىٰ وَجْهِكَ

wa ladhdhata alman�ari il� wajhika

for the enjoyment of looking at Your Face,

وَشَوْقاً إِلَىٰ رُؤْيَتِكَ وَلِقَائِكَ

wa shawqan il� ru'yatika wa liq�'ika

and for yearning for seeing and meeting You

مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ

min ghayri �arr�'a mu�irratin

without there being any harmful misery

وَلاَ فِتْنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ

wa l� fitnatin mu�illatin

or misleading sedition.

اَللَّهُمَّ زَيِّنَّا بِزِينَةِ ٱلإِيـمَانِ

all�humma zayyinn� biz�nati al-�m�ni

O Allah, (please) adorn us with the adornment of faith

وَٱجْعَلْنَا هُدَاةً مُهْتَدِينَ

waj`aln� hud�tan muhtad�na

and make us guides and well-guided.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱهْدِنَا فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ

all�humma ihdin� f�man hadayta

O Allah, (please) guide us (to the truth) amongst those whom You guide.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي سْلُكَ عَزِيمَةَ ٱلرَّشَادِ

all�humma inn� as'aluka `az�mata alrrash�di

O Allah, I beseech You for determination to follow the true guidance

وَٱلثَّبَاتِ فِي ٱلمْرِ وَٱلرُّشْدِ

walththab�ti f� al-amri walrrushdi

and for steadfastness in all affairs and all reasonable matters.

وَسْلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ

wa as'aluka shukra ni`matika

I also beseech You to make me thank You for Your graces,

وَحُسْنَ عَافِيَتِكَ

wa husna `�fiyatika

to grant me excellent wellbeing from You,

وَدَاءَ حَقِّكَ

wa ad�'a haqqika

and to lead me to carry out my duty towards You.

وَسْلُكَ يَا رَبِّ قَلْباً سَلِيماً

wa as'aluka y� rabbi qalban sal�man

I also beseech You, O my Lord, for sound heart

وَلِسَاناً صَادِقاً

wa lis�nan ��diqan

and truthful tongue.

وَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا تَعْلَمُ

wa astaghfiruka lim� ta`lamu

I implore You to forgive me for what You know (about me),

وَسْلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا تَعْلَمُ

wa as'aluka khayra m� ta`lamu

I beseech You for the best of what You known (about my affairs),

وَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَعْلَمُ

wa a`�dhu bika min sharri m� ta`lamu

and I pray Your protection against the evil of what You know,

فَإِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ وَلاَ نَعْلَمُ

fa'innaka ta`lamu wa l� na`lamu

because You verily know while we do not,

وَنْتَ عَلاَّمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

wa anta `all�mu alghuy�bi

and You are the best knowing of all hidden things.

 

 

Fifth: Imam al-��diq (`a) is reported to have said: Whoever say these words at every obligatory prayer, will have himself, his house, his property, and his children been under protection:

اجِيرُ نَفْسِي وَمَالِي

uj�ru nafs� wa m�l�

I seek protection for myself, my property,

وَوَلَدِي وَهْلِي وَدَارِي

wa walad� wa ahl� wa d�r�

my children, my family members, my house,

وَكُلَّ مَا هُوَ مِنِّي

wa kulla m� huwa minn�

and whatever belongs to me

بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْوَاحِدِ

bill�hi alw�hidi

from Allah the One,

ٱلحَدِ ٱلصَّمَدِ

al-ahadi al��amadi

the One and Only, and the eternally besought of all

ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

alladh� lam yalid wa lam y�lad

Who begets not nor was begotten

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً حَدٌ

wa lam yakun lah� kufwan ahadun

and there is none comparable unto Him.

وَاجِيرُ نَفْسِي وَمَالِي

wa uj�ru nafs� wa m�l�

I seek protection for myself, my property,

وَوَلَدِي وَكُلَّ مَا هُوَ مِنِّي

wa walad� wa kulla m� huwa minn�

my children, and whatever belongs to me

بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ

birabbi alfalaqi

from the Lord of the dawn

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

min sharri m� khalaqa

against the evil of what He has created,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

wa min sharri gh�siqin idh� waqaba

the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي ٱلْعُقَدِ

wa min sharri alnnaff�th�ti f� al`uqadi

the evil of those who blow on knots,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

wa min sharri h�sidin idh� hasada

and the evil of the envious when he envies.

وَاجِيرُ نَفْسِي وَمَالِي

wa uj�ru nafs� wa m�l�

I seek protection for myself, my property,

وَوَلَدِي وَكُلَّ مَا هُوَ مِنِّي

wa walad� wa kulla m� huwa minn�

my children, and whatever belongs to me

بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

birabbi alnn�si

from the lord of men,

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ

maliki alnn�si

the king of men,

إِلٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ

il�hi alnn�si

the god of men,

مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ

min sharri alwasw�si alkhann�si

against the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan)

ٱلَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ

alladh� yuwswisu f� �ud�ri alnn�si

who whispers into the hearts of men

مِنْ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ

min aljinnati walnn�si

from among the jinn and the men.

وَاجِيرُ نَفْسِي وَمَالِي

wa uj�ru nafs� wa m�l�

For myself, my property,

وَوَلَدِي وَكُلَّ مَا هُوَ مِنِّي

wa walad� wa kulla m� huwa minn�

my children, and whatever belongs to me, I seek the protection

بِٱللَّهِ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

bill�hi l� il�ha ill� huwa

of Allah besides Whom there is no god,

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّوْمُ

alhayyu alqayy�mu

the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting.

لاَ تَاخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ

l� ta'khudhuh� sinatun wa l� nawmun

Slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep.

لَهُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلرْضِ

lah� m� f� alssam�w�ti wa m� f� al-ar�i

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His.

مَنْ ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ

man dh� alladh� yashfa`u `indah� ill� bi'idhnih�

Who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission?

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ يْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ

ya`lamu m� bayna ayd�him wa m� khalfahum

He knows what is before them and what is behind them,

وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاءَ

wa l� yuh���na bishay'in min `ilmihi ill� bim� sh�'a

and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases.

وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلرْضَ

wasi`a kursiyyuh� alssam�w�ti wa al-ar�a

His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth,

وَلاَ يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا

wa l� ya'�duh� hif�uhum�

and the preservation of them both tires Him not,

وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

wa huwa al`aliyyu al`a��mu

and He is the Most High, the Great.

 

 

Seeking Nearness Dua Baqiyatus salehat  pdf

Almighty Allah is reported to have said to the Holy Prophet (�): O Muhammad, convey these words to those who intend to seek nearness to Me: Be it known to you surely that the following words are the best of what can be used as means of seeking nearness to Me after the obligatory prayers:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يُمْسِ احَدٌ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

all�humma innah� lam yumsi ahadun min khalqika

O Allah! Indeed, none of Your creatures

انْتَ إِلَيْهِ احْسَنُ صَنِيعاً

anta ilayhi ahsanu �an�`an

You have granted more favors,

وَلاَ لَهُ ادْوَمُ كَرَامَةً

wa l� lah� adwamu kar�matan

longer honors,

وَلاَ عَلَيْهِ ابْيَنُ فَضْلاًَ

wa l� `alayhi abyanu fa�lan

more manifest graces,

وَلاَ بِهِ اشَدُّ تَرَفُّقاً

wa l� bih� ashaddu taraffuqan

more lenient acts,

وَلاَ عَلَيْهِ اشَدُّ حِيَاطَةً

wa l� `alayhi ashaddu hiy��atan

stronger protection,

وَلاَ عَلَيْهِ اشَدُّ تَعَطُّفاً

wa l� `alayhi ashaddu ta`a��ufan

and more compassionate treatment

مِنْكَ عَلَيَّ

minka `alayya

than I am,

وَإِنْ كَانَ جَمِيعُ ٱلْمَخْلُوقِينَ

wa in k�na jam�`u almakhl�q�na

although all of Your creatures

يُعَدِّدُونَ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ مِثْلَ تَعْدِيدِي

yu`addid�na min dh�lika mithla ta`d�d�

can count the same as what I have counted.

فَٱشْهَدْ يَا كَافِيَ ٱلشَّهَادَةِ

fashhad y� k�fiya alshshah�dati

So, (please) bear witness, O He Whose witness is sufficient to me

بِانِّي اشْهِدُكَ بِنِيَّةِ صِدْقٍ

bi-ann� ushhiduka biniyyati �idqin

that I ask You to bear witness to me with honest intention

بِانَّ لَكَ ٱلْفَضْلَ وَٱلطَّوْلَ

bi-anna laka alfa�la wal��awla

that Yours are all favors and all bounties

فِي إِنْعَامِكَ عَلَيَّ

f� in`�mika `alayya

that have been done to me

مَعَ قِلَّةِ شُكْرِي لَكَ فِيهَا

ma`a qillati shukr� laka f�h�

although I have shown You very little gratitude for all that.

يَا فَاعِلَ كُلِّ إِرَادَةٍ

y� f�`ila kulli ir�datin

O Doer of all wills,

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

�alli `al� muhammadin wa �lih�

(please) bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَطَوِّقْنِي امَاناً مِنْ حُلُولِ ٱلسَّخَطِ لِقِلَّةِ ٱلشُّكْرِ

wa �awwiqn� am�nan min hul�li alssakha�i liqillati alshshukri

surround me with security against the befalling of Your wrath on account of my little gratitude,

وَاوْجِبْ لِي زِيَادَةً مِنْ إِتْمَامِ ٱلنِّعْمَةِ بِسَعَةِ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

wa awjib l� ziy�datan min itm�mi alnni`mati bisa`ati almaghfirati

decide for me more complete graces  through expansive forgiveness of You,

امْطِرْنِي خَيْرَكَ

am�irn� khayraka

and pour down upon me Your good turns.

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

fa�alli `al� muhammadin wa �lih�

So, (pleas) bless Muhammad and his Household

وَلاَ تُقَايِسْنِي بِسُوءِ سَرِيرَتِي

wa l� tuq�yisn� bis�'i sar�rat�

and do not treat me according to the amount of my ill intention;

وَٱمْتَحِنْ قَلْبِي لِرِضَاكَ

wamtahin qalb� liri��ka

rather, (please) test my heart in order to win Your pleasure

وَٱجْعَلْ مَا تَقَرَّبْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ

waj`al m� taqarrabtu bih� ilayka

and make pure that through which I have sought nearness to You

فِي دِينِكَ لَكَ خَالِصاً

f� d�nika laka kh�li�an

with regard to the affairs of Your religion,

وَلاَ تَجْعَلْهُ لِلُزُومِ شُبْهَةٍ اوْ فَخْرٍ اوْ رِيَاءٍ

wa l� taj`alhu liluz�mi shubhatin aw fakhrin aw riy�'in

and do not make it to be accompanied by any suspicion, pride, or ostentation.

يَا كَرِيمُ

y� kar�mu

O All-generous!

This supplicatory prayer is one of the thirty-one secret supplications of sacredness (i.e. supplications that are reported from Almighty Allah directly) that are said for winning this-worldly and the otherworldly requests.

Our master scholars have quoted these supplicatory prayers through connected chains of authority, and some of them are quoted in Shaykh al-��s��s Mi�b�h al-Mutahajjid and al-Kaf`am��s al-Mi�b�h. To see all these thirty-one supplications, it is advisable to refer to al-Balad al-Am�n, the Book of Supplications in Bih�r al-Anw�r, and al-Jaw�hir al-Saniyyah.

 

Other Duas from Mafatih al-Jinan: ( Translation NA)

Virtues of the Effective Veneration

Al-Barqi, through an authenticated narration, reported Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) as saying, �Whoever repeats ten times the following statement after accomplishing his prayer and before moving his knees from their position, Almighty Allah will erase forty million of his sins, record for him forty million rewards, and he will be regarded as having recited the Holy Qur�an entirely twelve times. � The Imam (a. s. ) then turned his face towards the reporter and said, �As to me, I do not move my knees before I repeat this statement one hundred times. As to you, you may say it ten times only. � The statement is the following:

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلهَ اِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ

اِلها واحِدا اَحَدا صَمَدا لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صاحِبَةً وَلا وَلَدا.

Very much more merits have been reported for uttering this statement of professing Almighty Allah being the One and Only God (i. e. Tahlil) , especially after the Dawn and Evening Prayers and at sunrise and sunset. Thirteenth: Al-Kulayni, Ibn Baabwayh, and others have reported through authentic chains of authority that Imam al-Sadiq (a. s. ) said, �Archangel Gabriel came to Prophet Joseph (a. s. ) who was in the prison and taught him to say the following prayer after each prayer:

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لى فَرَجا وَمَخْرَجا

وَارْزُقْنى مِنْ حَيْثُ اَحْتَسِبُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لا اَحْتَسِبُ

Fourteenth: It is mentioned in the book of al-Balad al-Amin that the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) said, �He who wishes that Almighty Allah will not stop him on the Resurrection Day for the evil deeds that he has done and that Almighty Allah will not open his record of deeds, may say this  prayer after every ritual prayer:

اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ اَرْجى مِنْ عَمَلى وَاِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ اَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذَنْبى

اَللّهُمَّ اِنْ كانَ ذَنْبى عِنْدَكَ عَظيما فَعَفْوُكَ اَعْظَمُ مِنْ ذَنْبى

اَللّهُمَّ اِنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ اَهْلا اَنْ تَرْحَمَنى فَرَحْمَتُكَ اَهْلٌ اَنْ تَبْلُغَنى وَتَسَعَنى

لاَِنَّها وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّحِمينَ

Fifteenth: Al-Kaf�ami reports that a man complained to the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) about his ailment and poverty. The Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) therefore taught him to say the following statement after the obligatory prayers:

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَىِّ الَّذى لا يَمُوتُ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذى لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صاحِبَةً

وَلا وَلَدا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَريكٌ فِى الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِىُّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبيرا.

According to another report, the Holy Prophet (s. a. w. a. ) said, �Whenever a tribulation afflicted me, Archangel Gabriel would come to me and instruct me to say these words. � According to other validly reported traditions, this doxology may be repeated for fending off evil inspirations, settling debts, and saving from poverty. According to other traditions, the following statement precedes the doxology involved:

لاحَوْلَ وَلاقُوَّةَ اِلاّ بِاللَّهِ.

Sixteenth: In his book of al-Muqni�ah, Shaykh al-Mufid has mentioned the following supplicatory prayer to be said after every prayer:

اَللّهُمَّ انْفَعْنا بِالْعِلْمِ وَزَيِّنّا بِالْحِلْمِ وَجَمِّلْنا بِالْعافِيَةِ وَكَرِّمْنا بِالتَّقْوى

اِنَّ وَلِيِّىَ اللَّهُ الَّذى نَزَّلَ الْكِتابَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى الصّالِحينَ

Mafatih al-Jinan: Dua Maknoon and its merits

Seventeenth: Al-Tusi, Ibn Baabwayh, and others have reported through valid chains of authority that Imam AliAmeer al-Momineen (a. s. ) said, �Whoever wishes that he leaves this worldly life as pure of sins as untainted gold and none will demand him to be sued for a wrongdoing, must recite twelve times after each of the five obligatory prayers the Chapter that describes Almighty Allah; namely, Surah al-Tawheed. He may then stretch his hand and pray Almighty Allah with this supplicatory prayer, which is one of the redeeming matters that Allah�s Messenger (s. a. w. a. ) taught and ordered me to convey to al-Hasan and al-Husayn (a. s. ) :

اَللّهُمَّ اِنّى اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُونِ الْمَخْزُونِ الطّاهِرِ الطُّهْرِ الْمُبارَكِ

وَاَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظيمِ وَسُلْطانِكَ الْقَديمِ يا واهِبَ الْعَطايا يا مُطْلِقَ الاُْسارى

يا فَكّاكَ الرِّقابِ مِنَ النّارِ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَفُكَّ رَقَبَتى مِنَ النّارِ

وَاَخْرِجْنى مِنَ الدُّنْيا آمِنا وَاَدْخِلْنِى الْجَنَّةَ سالِما وَاجْعَلْ دُعآئى اَوَّلَهُ فَلاحاً

وَاَوْسَطَهُ نَجاحا وَآخِرَهُ صَلاحا اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ عَلاّمُ الْغُيُوبِ

يا فَكّاكَ الرِّقابِ مِنَ النّارِ اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

The same prayer in other validly reported copies of the tradition is as follows:

وَاَنْ تُعْتِقَ رَقَبَتى مِنَ النّارِ وَاَنْ تُخْرَجَنى مِنَ الدُّنْيا سالِما وَتُدْخِلَنِى الْجَنَّةَ آمِنا

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ دُعآئى اَوَّلَهُ فَلاحا وَاَوْسَطَهُ نَجاحا وَآخِرَهُ صَلاحا اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ عَلاّمُ الْغُيُوبِ

llahumma inni asaloka beismekal maknoone wal makhzoonil tahiril tuhharil mubarake wa asaloka beismekal azeeme wa sultanekal qadeeme ya waheb al ataya wa ya mutleqal usaara wa ya fakkakar riqaabe min an naare asaloka anto salle ala Mohammedin wa alle Mohammadin wa an tuteqa raqbati minan naare wa an tuqrijani min ad duniya aamenan wa an tudqilunil jannata salemun wa an tajal duaee awwalahu falahan wa awsatahu najahan wa aakhirahu salahan innaka anta allamul ghayoobo

 

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS
Mafatih al-Jinan: Du`a of "I contented and accepted that my Lord is Allah..."

It is worth mentioning that Shaykh Tusi has quoted from Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Daylami that he had told Imam Sadiq (`a), "Your followers (the Shiites) say that the faith is divided into two parts, a firm steady part and an unsteady one that may lapse. So teach me a du`a whenever I recite it, my faith would become perfect and would not lapse."

 

رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبّاً وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ نَبِيّاً

وَ بِالْإِسْلاَمِ دِيناً وَ بِالْقُرْآنِ كِتَاباً وَ بِالْكَعْبَةِ قِبْلَةً

وَ بِعَلِيٍّ وَلِيّاً وَ إِمَاماً وَ بِالْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ

وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

وَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَ الْحُجَّةِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَئِمَّةً

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي رَضِيتُ بِهِمْ أَئِمَّةً فَارْضَنِي لَهُمْ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

The Imam said, "After each obligatory prayer say:"

O my Allah make me find the right way under Thy guidance, single me out for bestowing upon me Thy bounties, spread out and make accessible for me Thy mercy,

 

let Thy blessings come down and put up with me. Glory be to Thee, there is no god save Allah,

blot out my errors and faults, one and all, altogether, because no one can cover them up, except Thee.

 

O my Allah, I ask Thee foreverything good there is that Thy wisdom surrounds; I take refuge with Thee from every evil that Thy wisdom surrounds.

 

O my Allah!I ask Thee for success and safety, in all matters concerning me. I seek Thy shelterfrom the misery and disgrace I come across in this world, and the trouble I may have to face on the Day of Judgement;

I take shelter under Thy kind and compassionate, equitable ways and means, and Thy glorious majesty that does not fix terms (predestination), and Thy omnipotence that does not arbitrarily prevent things

 

from (obeying the operation of) evil of this world and the hereafter (if they choose to be in the thick of it);also it is true in connection with the evil of hunger and diseases, and evil of (all type of) violence. Thou leads, uncovering the evil

 

certainly my Lord, to the right path. There is no stratagem, and no strength, save in Allah, the Highest High.

I commit my affairs to the charge of that Everliving who does not die. (All) praise is for Allah, who did not choose for Himself a son;

 

there is no partner (or associate) in His Kingdom (sovereignty);nor He makes friends with (any) mean and low individual, and say "Allahu Akbar".

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَ أَفِضْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ انْشُرْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

وَ أَنْزِلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ سُبْحَانَكَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا جَمِيعاً فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ كُلَّهَا جَمِيعاً إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ أَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عَافِيَتَكَ فِي أُمُورِي كُلِّهَا وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَ عَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ

وَ أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ وَ عِزَّتِكَ الَّتِي لاَ تُرَامُ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ الَّتِي لاَ يَمْتَنِعُ مِنْهَا شَيْ ءٌ

 

مِنْ شَرِّ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْأَوْجَاعِ كُلِّهَا وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ وَ لاَ حَوْلَ وَ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً

 

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

General Taqibaat
The following prayers and recommended devotional acts have been quoted from Shaykh al-Tusi�s famous book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid and other reference books.
After you recite the taslim - the closing part of the ritual prayers - and complete your prayer, repeat the Takbir statement (i.e. Allahuakbar; Allah is the Greatest) three times while raising your hands to the level of your ears and then say:

لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ اِلٰهاً وَاحِداً وَ نَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ لَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا اِيَّاهُ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ وَ لَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُوْنَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ رَبُّنَا وَ رَبُّ آبآئِنَا الاَوَّلِيْنَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ اَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ وَ نَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَ اَعَزَّ جُنْدَهُ وَ هَزَمَ الاْحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ فَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِىْ وَ يُمِيْتُ وَ يُمِيْتُ وَ يُحْيِىْ وَ هُوَ حَىُّ لَايَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَ هُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَديرٌ
Then, recite the following:

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ الَّذِىْ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ وَ اَتُوبُ اِلَيْهِ
Then, recite the following:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنِىْ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَ اَفِضْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ انْشُرْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ اَنْزِلْ عَلَىَّ مِنْ بَرَكَاتِكَ سُبْحَانَكَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اَنْتَ اِغْفِرْ لِىْ ذُنُوبِىْ كُلَّهَا جَمِيْعاً فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ كُلَّهَا جَمِيْعاً إِلَّا اَنْتَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّى اَسْئَلُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ وَ اَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ اَحَاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ .
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ عَافِيَتَكَ فِى اُمُورِىْ كُلِّهَا وَ اَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خِزْىِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ وَاَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَ عِزَّتِكَ الَّتِى لَا تُرَامُ وَ قُدْرَتِكَ الَّتِى لَا يَمْتَنِعُ مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ مِنْ شَرِّ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْاَوْجَاعِ كُلِّهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ اَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا اِنَّ رَبِّى عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيْمٍ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِىِّ الْعَظيمِ تَوَّكَلْتُ عَلَى الْحَىِّ الَّذِىْ لَا يَمُوتُ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذِىْ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيْكٌ فِى الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِىُّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبيراً
Then, recite the Tasbih al-Zahra� (which is discussed in the attached book of al-Baqiyat al-Salihat).
Before you move from your prayer-mat, recite the following 10 times:

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ اِلٰهاً وَاحِداً اَحَداً فَرْداً صَمَداً لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَ لَا وَلَداً
It is narrated that a great reward is obtained by reciting this dua, especially after the Dawn (Fajr) and Evening (Isha�) obligatory prayers and at sunrise and sunset.

Then, say the following:

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ كُلَّمَا سَبَّحَ اللّٰهَ شَى ءٌ وَ كَمَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُسَبَّحَ وَ كَمَا هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِىْ لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَ عِزِّ جَلَالِهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ كُلَّمَا حَمِدَ اللّٰهَ شَى ءٌ وَ كَمَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُحْمَدَ وَ كَما هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَ كَما يَنْبَغىِ لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَ عِزِّ جَلَالِهِ وَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ كُلَّمَا هَلَّلَ اللّٰهَ شَيْءٌ وَ كَمَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُهَلَّلَ وَ كَمَا هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِى لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَ عِزِّ جَلَالِهِ.
وَ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ كُلَّمَا كَبَّرَ اللّٰهَ شَيْ ءٌ وَ كَمَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُكَبَّرَ وَ كَمَا هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِى لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَ عِزِّ جَلَالِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ وَ لَا اِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ عَلٰى كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ اَنْعَمَ بِهَا عَلَىَّ وَ عَلٰى كُلِّ اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ مِمَّنْ كَانَ اَوْ يَكُونُ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَسْئَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا اَرْجُوْ وَ خَيْرِ مَا لَا اَرْجُوْ وَ اَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا اَحْذَرُ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَا اَحْذَرُ.
Then, recite the following Quranic verses:
(1) Surahal-Hamd (i.e. al-Fātiḥah No. 1), (2) Ayah al-Kursi (2:255-257), (3) Verses of Bearing Witness (Ayat al-Shahadah; 3:18-19), (4) Verses of Kingdom (Ayah al-Mulk; 3:26-27), and (5) Verses of Subservience (Ayah al-Sakharah 7:54-56).
Then, repeat the following verses (Surah al-Saaffaat 37:180-183) three times:

سُبْحٰانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ وَ سَلٰامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمينَ
Then, repeat the following supplication three times:

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اجْعَلْ لِىْ مِنْ اَمْرِىْ فَرَجاً وَ مَخْرَجاً وَ ارْزُقْنِىْ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَحْتَسِبُ وَ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا اَحْتَسِبُ
This supplication was taught by Archangel Gabriel to Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) - peace be upon him - when he was in prison.

Then, hold your beard with your right hand, raise your left hand towards the sky, and repeat the following supplication seven times:

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Keeping on the same situation, recite the following supplication three times:

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ارْحَمْنِىْ وَ اَجِرْنِىْ مِنَ النّٰارِ.
After repeating Surah al-Ikhlaas (or al-Tawḥīd; No. 112) twelve times, recite the following supplication:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّى اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُونِ الْمَخْزُونِ الطَّاهِرِ الطُّهْرِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظيْمِ وَ سُلْطَانِكَ الْقَدِيْمِ يَا وَاهِبَ الْعَطَايَا وَ يَا مُطْلِقَ الْاُسَارَى وَ يَا فَكَّاكَ الرِّقَابِ مِنَ النّٰارِ اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَنْ تُعْتِقَ رَقَبَتِىْ مِنَ النّٰارِ وَ اَنْ تُخْرِجَنِىْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا سَالِماً وَ [اَنْ] تُدْخِلَنِى الْجَنَّةَ آمِناً وَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ دُعاَئِىْ اَوَّلَهُ فَلَاحاً وَ اَوْسَطَهُ نَجَاحاً وَ آخِرَهُ صَلَاحاً اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ
According to al-Sahifah al-Alawiyyah (a collection of Imam Ali�s supplications), the following supplication is recommended to be recited after the obligatory prayers:

يَا مَنْ لَا يَشْغَلُهُ سَمْعٌ عَنْ سَمْعٍ وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يُغَلِّطُهُ السَّائِلُوْنَ وَ يَا مَنْ لَايُبْرِمُهُ اِلْحاحُ المُلِحِّينَ اَذِقْنِىْ بَرْدَ عَفْوِكَ وَ حَلَاوَةَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ
You may also recite the following supplication:

اِلٰهِىْ هٰذِهِ صَلَوٰتِىْ صَلَّيْتُهَا لَا لِحَاجَةٍ مِنْكَ اِلَيْهَا وَ لَا رَغْبَةٍ مِنْكَ فِيْهَا إِلَّا تَعْظِيْماً وَ طَاعَةً وَاِجَابَةً لَكَ اِلٰى مَا اَمَرْتَنِىْ بِهِ اِلٰهِىْ اِنْ كَانَ فِيْهَا خَلَلٌ اَوْ نَقْصٌ مِنْ رُكُوْعِهَا اَوْ سُجُوْدِهَا فَلَا تُؤَ اخِذْنِى وَ تَفَضَّلْ عَلَىَّ بِالْقَبُوْلِ وَ الْغُفْرَانِ .
After completion of the ritual prayers, you may also recite the following supplication, which the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) taught to Imam Ali Ameer al-Momineen(عليه السلام) for good memory:

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَايَعْتَدِىْ عَلٰى اَهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَاْخُذُ اَهْلَ الْاَرْضِ بِاَلْوَانِ الْعَذَابِ سُبْحَانَ الرَّؤُفِ الرَّحِيْمِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِىْ فِى قَلْبِى نُوْراً وَ بَصَراً وَ فَهْماً وَ عِلْماً اِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ قَديرٌ .
Al-Kaf�ami, in his book of al-Misbah, cites that it is recommended to repeat the following supplication three times after obligatory prayers:

اُعِيْذُ نَفْسِىْ وَ دِيْنِى وَ اَهْلِى وَ مَالِىْ وَ وَلَدِىْ وَ اِخْوَانِى فىِ دِيْنِى وَ مَا رَزَقَنِى رَبِّى وَ خَوَاتِيْمَ عَمَلِى وَ مَنْ يَعْنِيْنِى اَمْرُهُ بِاللّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْاَحَدِ الصَّمَدِ الَّذِىْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُولَدْ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً اَحَدٌ وَ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثٰاتِ فِى الْعُقَدِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ وَ بِرَبِّ النّٰاسِ مَلِكِ النّٰاسِ اِلٰهِ النّٰاسِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنّٰاسِ الَّذِىْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُوْرِ النّٰاسِ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النّٰاسِ.
It is narrated in an inscription handwritten by Shaykh al-Shahid that the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) said: Whoever desires that Almighty Allah will not show him his evildoings (that he did in this world) on the Resurrection Day and will not open the record of his evildoings, should recite the following supplication after each obligatory prayer:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ اَرْجِى مِنْ عَمَلِى وَ اِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ اَوْسَعُ مِنْ ذَنْبِى اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ ذَنْبِى عِنْدَكَ عَظِيْماً فَعَفْوُكَ اَعْظَمُ مِنْ ذَنْبِىْ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ اَهْلاً اَنْ اَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ فَرَحْمَتُكَ اَهْلٌ اَنْ تَبْلُغَنِى وَ تَسَعَنِى لِاَنَّهَا وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
Ibn Baabwayh (i.e. Shaykh al-Saduq) holds that one should say the following immediately after reciting Tasbih al-Zahra�:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَ مِنْكَ السَّلَامُ وَ لَكَ السَّلَامُ وَ اِلَيْكَ يَعُودُ السَّلَامُ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ وَ سَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْاَئِمَّةِ الْهَادِيْنَ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى جَمِيْعِ اَنْبِياَءِ اللّٰهِ وَ رُسُلِهِ وَ مَلاَئِكَتِهِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلٰى عِبَادِ اللّٰهِ الصَّالِحِينَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى عَلِىٍّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ، اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ سَيِّدَىْ شَبابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ بَاقِرِ عِلْمِ النَّبِيّينَ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّادِقِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُوْسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْكَاظِمِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوْسَىٰ الرِّضَا اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ الْجَوَادِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰى عَلِىٍّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَادِىْ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِي الزَّكِىِّ الْعَسْكَرِىِ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحُجَّةِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْقَائِمِ الْمَهْدِىِّ صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِينَ.
After reciting this, one may pray to Almighty Allah to grant him all his personal desires.

Shaykh al-Kaf�ami has also said that one should recite the following after the completion of the obligatory prayers:

رَضِيْتُ بِاللّٰهِ رَبّاً وبِالْاِسْلَامِ دِيْناً وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِهِ نَبِيّاً وَ بِعَلِىٍّ اِمَاماً وَ بِالْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلِىٍّ وَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ جَعْفَرٍ وَ مُوسَىٰ وَ عَلِىٍّ وَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِىٍّ وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْخَلَفِ الصَّالِحِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ اَئِمَّةً وَ سَادَةً وَ قَادَةً بِهِمْ اَتَوَلّٰى وَ مِنْ اَعْدَائِهِمْ اَتَبَرَّءُ
Then repeat the following supplication three times:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّى اَسْئَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ وَ الْمُعَافَاةَ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ .

(2) Recite :

There Is No God Save Allah, The One True God. And, Unto Him We Have Surrendered. There Is No God Save Allah . We Do Not Worship But Him (Alone), Making The Religion Pure, For Him (Only), However Much Idolaters Maybe Averse. There Is No God Save Allah ; Our Lord , And Lord Of Our Fathers Of Old. There Is No God Save Allah, And No Other, Allah, And No Other, Allah, And No Other, (Who) Fulfilled His Promise, Helped His Servant, Loved Dearly And Backed Up His Troop, And Put Host Of Clans To Flight, Therefore To Him Belongs The Kingdom (Sovereignty), Unto Him (Alone) Belongs The Praise. He Gives Life And Causes Death, Puts To Death And Brings To Life, He Is Ever living, Dies Not, In His Hand Is The Good; And He Is Able To Do All Things.

لا اِلـهَ إلاَّ اللهُ اِلهاً واحِداً وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ لا اِلـهَ إلاَّ اللهُ وَلا نَعْبُدُ إلاّ اِيّاهُ مُخْلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ وَلَوْ كَرَهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ لا اِلـهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ رَبُّنا وَرَبُّ آبائنَا الاَْوَّلينَ لا اِلـهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ وَحْدَهُ اَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَاَعَزَّ جُنْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الاَْحْزابَ وَحْدَهُ فَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيي وَيُميتُ وَيُميتُ وَيُحْيي وَهُوَ حَىٌّ لا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْء قَديرٌ

(3) Recite :

I Seek Forgiveness Of Allah, (Who Is) �There Is No God Save Allah� The Ever living, The Everlasting And Unto Him I Turn Repentant.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الَّذي لا اِلـهَ اِلاّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَاَتُوبُ اِلَيْهِ

(4) Recite :

O My Allah Make Me Find The Right Way Under Thy Guidance, Single Me Out For Bestowing Upon Me Thy Bounties, Spread Out And Make Me Accessible For Me Thy Mercy, Let Thy Blessings Come Down And Put Up With Me. Glory Be To Thee, There Is No God Save Allah, Blot Out My Errors And Faults, One And All, Altogether, Because No One Can Cover Them Up, Except Thee.

O My Allah, I Ask Thee For Everything Good There Is That Thy Wisdom Surrounds; I Take Refuge With Thee From Every Evil That Thy Wisdom Surrounds.

O My Allah! I Ask Thee For Success And Safety, In All Matters Concerning Me. I Seek Thy Shelter From Misery And Disgrace I Come Across In This World, And The Trouble I May Have To Face On The Day Of Judgment; I Take Shelter Under Thy Kind And Compassionate, Equitable Ways And  Means, And Thy Glorious Majesty That Does Not Fix Terms (Predestination), And Thy Omnipotence That Does Not Arbitrarily Prevent Things From (Obeying The Operation Of) Evil Of This World And Hereafter (If They Chose To Be In The Thick Of It); Also It Is True In Connection with The Evil Of Hunger And The Diseases And Evil Of (All Type Of) Violence. Thou Leads, Uncovering The Evil, Certainly My Lord, To The Right Path. There Is No Stratagem, And No Strength Save In Allah, The Highest High. I Commit My Affairs To The Charge Of That Ever living Who Does Not Die. (All) Praise Is For Allah , Who Did Not Choose For Himself A Son; There Is No Partner (Or Associate ) In His Kingdom (Sovereignty); Nor He Makes Friendswith (Any) Mean And Low Individual, And Say �Allahu Akbar�

اَللّـهُمَّ اهْدِني مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَاَفِضْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَانْشُرْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاَنْزِلْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ بَرَكاتِكَ سُبْحانَكَ لا اِلـهَ اِلاّ اَنْتَ اغْفِرْ لي ذُنُوبي كُلَّها جَميعاً فَاِنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ كُلَّها جَميعاً اِلاّ اَنْتَ
 

اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي أسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْر اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ وَاَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ اَحاطَ بِهِ عِلْمُكَ

اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي أسْأَلُكَ عافِيَتَكَ في اُمُوري كُلِّها وأعوذُ بك من خزي الدنيا وعذابِ الآخرةِ وأعوُذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَريمِ وَعِزَّتِكَ الَّتي لا تُرامُ وَقُدْرَتِكَ الَّتي لا يَمْتَنِعُ مِنْها شَيْءٌ مِنْ شَرِّ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ الأوْجاعِ كُلِّها ومن شرِّ كلِّ دابة أنت آخذٌ بناصيتها انّ ربّي على صراط مستقيم وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إلاّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظيمِ تَوَّكَلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذي لا يَمُوتُ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِِ الَّذى لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَداً وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَريكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبيرا

(5)  (Then) recite Tasbih of Fatimah Zahraa (A.S.):

It is reported through Ibn Baabuwiyah that, after �Tasbih of  Fatimah (A.S.)� following dua�a may be recited :
My Allah, Thou art peace, peace is from Thee, peace is for Thee, and unto Thee returns the peace. Glory be to Thy overlord ship, the Lord who is above from that which they attribute (unto Him). Peace be on the Messengers. (All) praise is for Allah (only), the Lord of the worlds. Peace be on you, O the Prophet, also mercy and blessings of Allah. Peace be on the Imams, the rightly guided Guides, peace be on all the Prophets of Allah, His Messengers, and His Angels. Peace be on us, and on the pious servants of Allah. Peace be on Ali, the commander of the faithfuls. Peace be on Hasan and Husayn the chiefs of all the dwellers of the Paradise. Peace be on Ali son of Husayn, Zaynul A�abideen, the pride of the worshippers (of Allah). Peace be on Muhammad son of Ali, Al Baaqir, depository of the Wisdom of all Prophets. Peace be on Jaafar son of Muhammad, Al Sadiq, the Truthful. Peace be on Moosa son of Jaafar, Al Kaazim, who made (the antagonists) speechless. Peace be on Ali son of Moosa, Al Rizaa, the devoted who tried to reconcile differences. Peace be on Muhammad son of Ali, Al Jawaad, the kind and generous liberal. Peace be on Ali son of Muhammad, Al Haadee, the Guide. Peace be on Hasan son of Ali, Al Zakiy Al Askaree, the intelligent, who faced countless calamities. Peace be on Hujjat son of Hasan, Al Qaaim, Al Mahdi, the living, the rightly guided. Blessings on all of them.

 

(6)  Recite 10 times (Particularly after Fajr and Maghrib prayers):  mp3

(i)  I bear witness that witness that there is no God save Allah, alone, He has no partner, Lord God, Unique, One, Single, the eternally Besought of all. He has chosen no consort, nor has He any son.

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلـهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ اِلهاً واحِداً أحَداً فَرْداً صَمَداً لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صاحِبَةً وَلا وَلَداً

(ii) Then recite :

Glory be to Allah, as often as often as and each time when something glorifies Allah, and just as loves Allah that which glorifies Him with (the words) �Subh�aanallaahi� as He (alone) is fit for and is worthy of, since it is for the sake of His kind disposition, and glory of His Majesty. (All) praise is for Allah, as often as and each time when something praises Allah, and just as loves Allah that which praises Him with (the worlds) �Alhamdulillaah� as He (alone) is it fit for and is worthy of, since it is for the sake of His kind disposition, and glory of His Majesty. There is no God save Allah, as often as and each time when something cries out �Allah� in joy and delight, and just as loves Allah that which pronounces the words �Laa ilaaha ilallah� as He (alone) is fit for and is worthy of, since it is for the sake of His kind disposition, and glory of His Majesty. Allah is the Greatest, as often as and each time when something calls Allah Great and sublime, and just as loves Allah that which says �Allahu Akbar� as He (alone) is fit for and is worthy of, since it is for the sake of His kind disposition, and glory of His Majesty. �Glory be to Allah�, (All) praise is for Allah (alone) �there is God save Allah�, and �Allah is the Greatest�, for all the bounties bestowed upon me, and on every one of the created beings that He created, by whom ( the above noted four declarations ) used to be, are, or shall be made to the Last Day of Judgment. O My Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the Children of Muhammad. I request Thee (to give me) the good that I ask for, and the good which I have not referred to. I take refuge with Thee, from the evil that is hanging over my head, and the evil which has not yet come upon me.

سُبْحانَ اللهِ كُلَّما سَبَّحَ اللهَ شَيءٌ وَكَما يُحِبُّ اللهُ اَنْ يُسَبَّحَ وَكَما هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَكما يَنْبَغي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلالِهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ كُلَّما حَمِدَ اللهَ شَيءٌ وَكَما يُحِبُّ اللهُ اَنْ يُحْمَدَ وَكَما هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَكَما يَنْبَغي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلالِهِ وَلا اِلـهَ اِلاّ اللهُ كُلَّما هَلَّلَ اللهَ شَيءٌ وَكَما يُحِبُّ اللهُ اَنْ يُهَلَّلَ وَكَما هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَكَما يَنْبَغي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلالِهِ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ كُلَّما كَبَّرَ اللهَ شَيءٌ وَكَما يُحِبُّ اللهُ اَنْ يُكَبَّرَ وَكَما هُوَ اَهْلُهُ وَكَما يَنْبَغي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ وَعِزِّ جَلالِهِ سُبْحانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ وَلا اِلـهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ عَلى كُلِّ نِعْمَة اَنْعَمَ بِها عَلَىَّ وَعَلى كُلِّ اَحَد مِنْ خَلْقِهِ مِمَّنْ كانَ أوْ يَكُونُ اِلى يَوْمِ الْقِيامَةِ اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي أسْألُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَأسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ ما أَرْجُو وَخَيْرِ ما لا أرْجُو وَاَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ ما أحْذَرُ وَمِنْ شَرِّ ما لا أحْذَرُ .

(7) Recite :

(i) Sooratul Faatih�ah - (ii) Aayaatul Kursee - (iii) Aayaatush Shahaadat
(iv) Aayatul Mulk - (v) Aayatul Musakharaat (as under) :
Verily your Lord is Allah who created the earth in six days; then occupied the throne (Arsh). He covers the night with the day which swiftly follows it, and has made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient by His command. Verily His is all creation and commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Verily He loves not the transgressors. And make not mischief in the earth after it�s �fair ordering� (Reformation) thereof, and call on Him in awe and hope. Verily the mercy of Allah is at hand for those who do good.

اِنَّ ربَّكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاْلاَرْضَ فِىْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَاى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِى اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُه حَثِيْثًا وَّالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُوْمَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِاَمْرِهِ اَلاَ لَهُ الَاخَلْقُ واْلاَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ. اُدْعُوْا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَّخُفْيَةً اِنَّه لاَيُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ . وَلاَ تُفْسِدُوْا فِى اْلاِرْضِ بَعْدَ اِصْلاَحِهَا وَادْعُوْهُ خَوْفًا وَّطَمَعًا اِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللهِ قَرِيْبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ

(8) Recite 3 times :

(i) Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that   which they attribute (unto him); and pay your respect to the Messengers; and (all) praise is for Allah (alone) the Lord of the Worlds.

سُبْحانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمّا يَصِفُونَ وَسَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلينَ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمينَ

(ii) (then) say :

My Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad, let my affairs be free from care and make them profitable and give me means of livelihood from my share, and from whence I have no expectation.

اَللّـهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَاجْعَلْ لي مِنْ اَمْري فَرَجاً وَمَخْرَجاً وَارْزُقْنى مِنْ حَيْثُ أَحْتَسِبُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لا أحْتَسِبُ

(9) Raise your hands towards the heaven and say:

(i) 7 times.
O Lord (of) Muhammad and the Children of Muhammad, send blessings on Muhammad and the Children of Muhammad and make haste to bring the comforting, cheerful advent of Children of Muhammad

يا رَبَّ مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمَّد

(ii) In the same position say 3 times :

O Lord of might and glory, send blessings on Muhammad and   on the Children of Muhammad. And have mercy on me, keep me safe from the fire (of Hell)

يا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالاِكْرامِ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَارْحَمْني وَاَجِرْني مِنَ النّارِ

 (10)  Recite 12 times:

(i) Sooratul Ikhlaas
(ii) And the following dua�a Imam Ali Al-Murtaza(A.S.)  used to recite 12times after every obligatory Namaaz.
O My Allah, I beseech Thee in the name of Thy well-guarded, treasured, pure, chaste, and blessed name; and I beseech Thee in the name of Thy Great name, Thy Kingdom is eternal, O He who makes many generous presents, O He who sets slaves free, O He who loses and unties the throttling ties around the neck in the fire of Hell, I beseech Thee (that) Thou send blessings on Muhammad and on the Children of Muhammad, and set my neck free from the burning inferno; make my exit from this world calm and peaceful, and my entry in Paradise safe and easy, settle my supplication (as under) :
Let the first be a total liberation, the middle a whole success, let the last be a beautiful order of lasting peace. Verily Thou art well aware of all that is hidden and invisible.

اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُونِ الَْمخْزُونِ الطّاهِرِ الطُّهْرِ الْمُبارَكِ وَأسْأَلُكَ بِاْسمِكَ الْعَظيمِ وَسُلْطانِكَ الْقَديمِ يا واهِبَ الْعَطايا وَيا مُطْلِقَ الاُسارى وَيا فَكّاكَ الرِّقابِ مِنَ النّارِ أَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَاْنَ تُعْتِقَ رَقَبَتي مِنَ النّارِ وَاَنْ تُخْرِجَني مِنَ الدُّنْيا سالِماً وَتُدْخِلَنِي الْجَنَّةَ آمِناً وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ دُعآئي اَوَّلَهُ فَلاحاً وَاَوْسَطَهُ نَجاحاً وَآخِرَهُ صَلاحاً اِنَّكََ أنْتَ عَلاّمُ الْغُيُوبِ .

(11) (then) Recite :

[ Imam Ali Al-Murtaza (A.S.) had advised his followers to recite the following dua�as after every obligatory Namaaz]
(i)    O He whom hearing of one sound does not render inattentive to the other, O He whom supplicants (how many they may be) do not confuse or disturb, O He whom clamorous determined pleading of petitioners do not upset; let me cultivate the good taste of enjoying the calm and quiet, only Thy favours make possible; the gentleness and unselfishness Thy kindness and indulgence develop (in me).

يا مَنْ لا يَشْغَلُهُ سَمْعٌ عن سمع وَيا مَنْ لا يُغَلِّطُهُ السّائِلُونَ وَيا مَنْ لا يُبْرِمُهُ اِلْحاحُ المُلِحِّينَ اَذِقْني بَرْدَ عَفْوِكَ وَحَلاوَةَ رَحْمَتِكَ وَمَغْفِرَتِكَ

My Allah, the Salaat (Namaaz) I have just prayed, was not to put forth  any demand before Thee, nor was there any self-seeking desire to reach Thee through it. It was nothing but praise, obedience and surrender unto Thee, in order to carry out that which Thou has commanded. My Allah, If there was a break of continuity (disturbance of mind) or shortcoming, while making  the intention, or standing, while bowing down, or prostrating in adoration, do not catch hold of me, (but) have the kindness of bestowing a favour on me, by affording me through Thy mercy absolution and acceptance, O the Most Merciful.

اِلـهي هذه صَلاتي صَلَّيْتُها لا لحاجَة منْكَ اليْها وَلا رَغْبَة مِنْكَ فيها اِلاّ تَعْظيماً وَطاعَةً وَاِجابَةً لَكَ اِلى ما اَمَرْتَني بِهِ الـهي اِنْ كانَ فيها خَلَلٌ اَوْ نَقْصٌ مِنْ رُكُوعِها أوْ سُجُودِها فَلا تؤاخذني وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ بِالْقَبُولِ وَالْغُفْرانِ .

(iii) The following dua�a was taught by the Holy Prophet (S.A.) to Imam Ali (A.S.), to be recited after every obligatory Salaat, for developing a flawless memory:

Glory be to Him who does not treat the citizens of His Kingdom unjustly and harshly, Glory be to Him who does not let torment and pain come suddenly upon mankind, Glory be to the Compassionate, the Merciful. O Allah fill my heart and mind with true enlightenment, discerning intelligence, quick understanding and knowledge, Verily Thou art able to do all things.

سُبْحانَ مَنْ لا يَعْتَدي عَلى أهْلِ مَمْلَكَتِهِ سُبْحانَ مَنْ لا يَأخُذُ اَهْلَ الاَْرْضِ بأَلْوانِ الْعَذابِ سُبْحانَ الرَّؤوُفِ الرَّحيمِ اَللّـهُمَّ اْجَعلْ لي في قَلْبى نُوراً وَبَصَراً وَفَهْماً وَعِلْماً اِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَي قَديرٌ .

(12) In �Misbah of Kafa�amee� it is written that the following dua�a may be recited after every obligatory Salaat :

Long for Thy protection my Nafs (soul), my belief, my family, my possessions, my children and my brother�s-in-faith, and that which Thou, my Lord gives me as means of livelihood, and my deeds that have been done, and whoso makes know and refers to his cause and case in the name of Allah, and no other, the Single, the Independent Everlasting, (who) begets not, nor was begotten, and there is none like (comparable) unto Him; (in the name of) the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He has created; from the evil of the darkness when it is intense, and from the evil of the malignant witchcraft, and from the evil of the envier when he envies. (in the name of) the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the sneaking whisperer, who whispers in the hearts of people, (be he) from among the jinn and mankind

اُعيذُ نَفْسي وَديني وَاَهْلي وَمالي وَوَلَدي وَاِخْواني في ديني وَما رَزَقَني رَبِّي وَخَواتيمَ عَمَلي وَمَنْ يَعْنيني اَمْرُهُ بِاللهِ الْواحِدِ الاَحَدِ الصَّمَدِ الَّذي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفواً اَحَدٌ وَبِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ مِنْ شَرِّ ما خَلَقَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غاسِق اِذا وَقَبَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّاثاتِ فِي الْعُقَدْ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حاسِد اِذا حَسَدَ وَبِرَبِّ النّاسِ مَلِكِ النّاسِ إلـهِ النّاسِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْواسِ الْخَنّاسِ الَّذى يُوَسْوِسُ في صُدُورِ النّاسِ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنّاسِ .

It is reported that the Holy Prophet (S.A.) had said that if one wants to keep hidden (forgiven) his faults and mistakes, committed in this world, on the Day of Judgment, he should recite the following dua�a after every obligatory prayer:
My Allah, indeed, Thy indulgence is more to be hoped for than    my deeds; certainly Thy mercy is more deep and far-reaching   compared to my faults and mistakes. My Allah if my errors, in the matter of Thy laws, are grave in nature, Thy pardon is more substantial and well-known than my transgressions. If not obscured the befitting (praise), that eloquently describes Thy Mercy to perfection, it is because Thy Mercy is most (praise) worthy, (which) obtains and speeds up plenty of opportunities for me in everything, through Thy kindness O the Most Merciful.

اَللّـهُمَّ إنَّ مَغْفِرَتَكَ اَرْجى مِنْ عَمَلى وَاِنَّ رَحْمَتِكَ أوْسَعُ مِنْ ذَنْبي اَللّـهُمَّ إن كانَ ذَنبي عِنْدَكَ عَظيماً فَعَفْوُكَ اَعْظَمُ مِنْ ذَنْبي اَللّـهُمَّ إنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ أهْلاً أنْ اَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتُكَ فرحمتك اَهْلٌ اَنْ تَبْلُغَني وَتَسَعَني لاَِنَّها وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْء بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ .
