اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي لا مِنْ شَيْءٍ كانَ وَ لا مِنْ شَيْءٍ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī lā min shay'in kāna wa lā min shay'in
All praise is for Allah, from whom nothing existed, and from nothing
كَوَّنَ ما قَدْ كانَ مُسْتَشْهِدٌ بِحُدُوثِ الْاَشْياءِ عَلى اَزَلِيَّتِهِ
Kawwana mā qad kāna mustashhidun bi-ḥudūthi al-ashyā'i 'alā azaliyyatihi
He created what has been, bearing witness through things' emergence to His eternity
وَ بِما وَسَمَها بِهِ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ عَلى قُدْرَتِهِ وَ بِمَا
Wa bimā wasamahā bihi min al-'ajzi 'alā qudratihi wa bimā
And by what He marked them with of weakness, to His power, and by what
اضْطَرَّها اِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْفَناءِ عَلى دَوامِهِ لَمْ يَخْلُ مِنْهُ مَكانٌ
Aḍṭarahā ilayhi min al-fanā'i 'alā dawāmihi lam yakhlu minhu makānun
He compelled them to of decay, to His permanence; no place is empty of Him
فَيُدْرَكَ بِاَيْنِيَّتِهِ وَ لا لَهُ شِبْهٌ وَ لا مِثالٌ فَيُوصَفَ
Fayudraka bi-ayniyyatihi wa lā lahu shibhun wa lā mithālun fayūṣafa
So He cannot be located by where-ness; He has no likeness nor example, so described
بِكَيْفِيَّتِهِ وَ لَمْ يَغِبْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَيُعْلَمَ بِحَيْثِيَّتِهِ مُبائِنٌ
Bi-kayfiyyatihi wa lam yaghib 'an shay'in fayū'lama bi-ḥaythiyyatihi mubā'inun
By how-ness; He is not absent from anything, so known by where-ness; distinct
لِجَميعِ ما اَحْدَثَ فِي الصِّفاتِ وَ مُمْتَنِعٌ عَنِ الْاِدْراكِ بِمَا
Li-jamī'i mā aḥdatha fī al-ṣifāti wa mumtani'un 'an al-idrāki bimā
From all that He originated in attributes; and beyond perception by what
ابْتَدَعَ مِنْ تَصَرُّفِ الذَّواتِ وَ خارِجٌ بِالْكِبْرِياءِ وَ الْعَظَمَةِ مِنْ
Ibtada'a min taṣarrufi al-dhawāti wa khārijun bil-kibriyā'i wal-'aẓamati min
He invented of the disposition of entities; and transcendent through majesty and greatness from
جَميعِ تَصَرُّفِ الْحالاتِ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلى بَوارِعِ ثاقِباتِ الْفِطَنِ تَحْديدُهُ
Jamī'i taṣarrufi al-ḥālāti muḥarramun 'alā bawāri'i thāqibāti al-fiṭani taḥdīduhu
All disposition of states; forbidden to piercing sharp minds is defining Him
وَ عَلى عَوامِقِ ثاقِباتِ الْفِكَرِ تَكْييفُهُ وَ عَلى غَوامِضِ
Wa 'alā 'awāmiqi thāqibāti al-fikari takyīfuhu wa 'alā ghawāmiḍi
And to profound penetrating thoughts is describing His modality; and to the obscure
سابِقاتِ الْفِطَرِ تَصْويرُهُ وَ لاتَحْويهِ الْاَماكِنُ لِع
Sābiqāti al-fiṭari taṣwīruhu wa lā taḥwīhi al-amākinu li-'
Preceding dispositions is depicting Him; and places do not contain Him, for...
مُسْتَشْهِدٌ بِكُلِّيَةِ الْاَجْناسِ عَلى رُبُوبِيَّتِهِ وَ بِعَجْزِها
Mustashhidun bi-kulliyyati al-ajnāsi 'alā rubūbiyyatihi wa bi-'ajzihā
Bearing witness through all genera to His Lordship, and by their weakness
عَلى قُدْرَتِهِ وَ بِفُطُورِها عَلى قِدْمَتِهِ وَ بِزَوالِها
'Alā qudratihi wa bi-fuṭūrihā 'alā qidmatihi wa bi-zawālihā
To His power, and by their fissure to His antiquity, and by their passing
عَلى بَقائِهِ فَلا لَها مَحيصٌ عَنْ اِدْراكِهِ اِيَّاها
'Alā baqā'ihi fa-lā lahā maḥīṣun 'an idrākihi iyyāhā
To His permanence; so they have no escape from His encompassing them
وَ لا خُرُوجٌ عَنْ اِحاطَتِهِ بِها وَ لاَ احْتِجابٌ
Wa lā khurūjun 'an iḥāṭatihi bihā wa lā iḥtijābun
And no exit from His surrounding them, and no concealment
عَنْ اِحْصائِهِ لَها وَ لاَ امْتِناعٌ مِنْ قُدْرَتِهِ
'An iḥṣā'ihi lahā wa lā imtinā'un min qudratihi
From His counting them, and no prevention from His power
عَلَيْها كَفى بِاِتْقانِ الصُّنْعِ لَهُ ايَةً وَ بِتَرْكيبِ
'Alayhā kafā bi-itqāni al-ṣun'i lahu āyatan wa bi-tarkībi
Over them; sufficient is perfection of craft for Him as sign, and by composition
الطَّبْعِ عَلَيْهِ دَلالَةً وَ بِحُدُوثِ الْفِطَرِ عَلَيْهِ قِدْمَةً
Al-ṭab'i 'alayhi dalālatan wa bi-ḥudūthi al-fiṭari 'alayhi qidamatan
Of nature upon it as indication, and by emergence of dispositions as antiquity
وَ بِاِحْكامِ الصَّنْعَةِ عَلَيْهِ عِبْرَةً فَلا اِلَيْهِ حَدٌّ
Wa bi-iḥkāmi al-ṣan'ati 'alayhi 'ibratan fa-lā ilayhi ḥaddun
And by precision of workmanship as lesson; so to Him no limit
مَنْسُوبٌ وَ لا لَهُ مَثَلٌ مَضْرُوبٌ وَ لا شَيْ ءٌ
Mansūbun wa lā lahu mathalun maḍrūbun wa lā shay'un
Is ascribed, and no likeness is struck for Him, and nothing
عَنْهُ بِمَحْجُوبٍ تَعالى عَنْ ضَرْبِ الْاَمْثالِ لَهُ
'Anhu bi-maḥjūbin ta'ālā 'an ḍarbi al-amthāli lahu
From Him is veiled; Exalted is He above striking similitudes for Him
وَ الصِّفاتِ الْمَخْلُوقَةِ عُلُوّاً كَبيراً وَ سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ
Wa al-ṣifāti al-makhlūqati 'uluwwan kabīran wa subḥāna Allāhi
And created attributes, with great exaltation; and glory be to Allah
الَّذي خَلَقَ الدُّنْيا لِلْفَناءِ وَ الْبُيُودِ وَ الْاخِرَةَ
Alladhī khalaqa al-dunyā lil-fanā'i wal-buyūdi wal-ākhirata
Who created the world for decay and perishing, and the Hereafter
لِلْبَقاءِ وَ الْخُلُودِ وَ سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ الَّذي لايَنْقُصُهُ
Lil-baqā'i wal-khulūdi wa subḥāna Allāhi alladhī lā yanquṣuhu
For permanence and eternity; and glory be to Allah, Whom what He gives
ما اَعْطى فَاَسْنى وَ اِنْ جازَ الْمَدى فِي الْمُنى
Mā a'ṭā fa-asnā wa in jāza al-madā fī al-munā
Does not diminish, so He elevates; and even if extent passes in hopes
وَ بَلَغَ الْغايَةَ الْقُصْوى وَ لايَجُورُ في حُكْمِهِ
Wa balagha al-ghāyata al-quṣwā wa lā yajūru fī ḥukmihi
And reaches the utmost limit; and He does not deviate in His judgment
اِذا قَضى وَ سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ الَّذي لايُرَدُّ ما قَضى
Idhā qaḍā wa subḥāna Allāhi alladhī lā yuraddu mā qaḍā
When He decrees; and glory be to Allah, Whom what He decrees cannot be repelled
وَ لايُصْرَفُ ما اَمْضى وَ لايُمْنَعُ ما اَعْطى
Wa lā yuṣrafu mā amḍā wa lā yumna'u mā a'ṭā
And what He executes cannot be diverted, and what He gives cannot be prevented
وَ لايَهْفُو وَ لايَنْسى وَ لايَعْجَلُ بَلْ يُمَهِّلُ
Wa lā yahfū wa lā yansā wa lā ya'jalu bal yumahhilu
And He does not err, nor forget, nor hasten; rather He grants respite
وَ يَعْفُو وَ يَغْفِرُ وَ يَرْحَمُ وَ يَصْبِرُ وَ لايُسْأَلُ
Wa ya'fū wa yaghfiru wa yarḥamu wa yaṣbiru wa lā yus'alu
And pardons, and forgives, and has mercy, and is patient; and He is not asked
عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَ هُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللَّهُ
'Am-mā yaf'alu wa hum yus'alūna wa lā ilāha illā Allāhu
About what He does, while they are asked; and there is no god but Allah
الشَّاكِرُ لِلْمُطيعِ لَهُ اَلْمُمْلي لِلْمُشْرِكِ بِهِ
Al-shākiru lil-muṭī'i lahu al-mumli lil-mushriki bihi
The Appreciative to the obedient to Him; He grants respite to the associator with Him
اَلْقَريبُ مِمَّنْ دَعاهُ عَلى حالِ بُعْدِهِ وَ الْبَرُّ
Al-qarību mimman da'āhu 'alā ḥāli bu'dihi wal-barru
The Near to whoever calls Him in his state of distance; and the Kind
الرَّحيمُ لِمَنْ لَجَأَ اِلى ظِلِّهِ وَ اعْتَصَمَ
Al-raḥīmu liman laja'a ilā ẓillihi wa i'taṣama
The Merciful to whoever seeks refuge in His shadow, and holds fast
بِحَبْلِهِ وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْمُجيبُ لِمَنْ
Bi-ḥablihi wa lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-mujību liman
To His rope; and there is no god but Allah, the Responder to whoever
ناداهُ بِاَخْفَضِ صَوْتِهِ السَّميعُ لِمَنْ ناجاهُ
Nādāhu bi-akhfaḍi ṣawtihi al-samī'u liman nājāhu
Calls Him with the lowest voice; the Hearer of whoever confides in Him
لِاَغْمَضِ سِرِّهِ الرَّؤُوفُ بِمَنْ رَجاهُ لِتَفْريجِ
Li-aghmaḍi sirrihi al-ra'ūfu biman rajāhu li-tafrīji
With the most hidden secret; the Compassionate to whoever hopes in Him for relief
هَمِّهِ اَلْقَريبُ مِمَّنْ دَعاهُ لِتَنْفيسِ كَرْبِهِ
Hammihi al-qarību mimman da'āhu li-tanfīsi karbihi
Of his worry; the Near to whoever calls Him for relief of his distress
وَ غَمِّهِ وَ لا اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْحَليمُ
Wa ghammihi wa lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-ḥalīmu
And grief; and there is no god but Allah, the Forbearing
عَمَّنْ اَلْحَدَ في اياتِهِ وَ انْحَرَفَ عَنْ بَيِّناتِهِ
'Amman alḥada fī āyātihi wa inḥarafa 'an bayyinātihi
Toward whoever deviates in His signs, and turns away from His clear proofs
وَ دانَ بِالْجُحُودِ في كُلِّ حالاتِهِ وَ اللَّهُ
Wa dāna bil-juḥūdi fī kulli ḥālātihi wa Allāhu
And persists in denial in all his states; and Allah
اَكْبَرُ الْقاهِرُ لِلْاَضْدادِ الْمُتَعالي عَنِ الْاَنْدادِ
Akbaru al-qāhiru lil-aḍdādi al-muta'ālī 'an al-andādi
Is Greatest, the Subduer of opposites, the Exalted above counterparts
الْمُتَفَرِّدُ بِالْمَنِيَّةِ عَلى جَميعِ الْعِبادِ وَ اللَّهُ
Al-mutafarridu bil-maniyyati 'alā jamī'i al-'ibādi wa Allāhu
The Unique in decreeing death upon all servants; and Allah
اَكْبَرُ الْمُحْتَجِبُ بِالْمَلَكُوتِ وَ الْعِزَّةِ الْمُتَوَحِّدُ
Akbaru al-muḥtajibu bil-malakūti wal-'izzati al-mutawaḥḥidu
Is Greatest, the Veiled by the kingdom and might, the Singular
بِالْجَبَرُوتِ وَ الْقُدْرَةِ الْمُتَرَدّي بِالْكِبْرِياءِ
Bil-jabarūti wal-qudrati al-mutaraddī bil-kibriyā'i
In the dominion and power, the Cloaked in majesty
وَ الْعَظَمَةِ وَ اللَّهُ اَكْبَرُ الْمُتَقَدِّسُ بِدَوامِ
Wal-'aẓamati wa Allāhu akbaru al-mutaqaddisu bi-dawāmi
And greatness; and Allah is Greatest, the Holy through permanence
السُّلْطانِ وَ الْغالِبُ بِالْحُجَّةِ وَ الْبُرْهانِ
Al-sulṭāni wal-ghālibu bil-ḥujjati wal-burhāni
Of authority, and the Prevailing by proof and evidence
وَ نَفاذِ الْمَشِيَّةِ في كُلِّ حينٍ وَ أَوانٍ
Wa nafādhi al-mashī'ati fī kulli ḥīnin wa awānin
And the execution of will in every moment and time
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ
Allāhumma ṣalli 'alā Muḥammadin 'abdika wa rasūlika
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your messenger
وَ اَعْطِهِ الْيَوْمَ اَفْضَلَ الْوَسائِلِ وَ اَشْرَفَ
Wa a'ṭihi al-yawma afḍala al-wasā'ili wa ashrafa
And grant him today the best of means, and the most noble
الْعَطاءِ وَ اَعْظَمَ الْحِباءِ وَ اَقْرَبَ الْمَنازِلِ
Al-'aṭā'i wa a'ẓama al-ḥibā'i wa aqraba al-manāzili
Of gifts, and the greatest of bestowals, and the nearest of stations
وَ اَسْعَدَ الْحُدُودِ وَ اَقَرَّ الْاءَعْيُنِ اَللَّهُمَّ
Wa as'ada al-ḥudūdi wa aqarra al-a'yuni allāhumma
And the happiest of bounds, and the most pleasing to the eyes; O Allah
صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَعْطِهِ
Ṣalli 'alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammadin wa a'ṭihi
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and grant him
الْوَسيلَةَ وَ الْفَضيلَةَ وَ الْمَكانَ الرَّفيعَ
Al-wasīlata wal-faḍīlata wal-makāna al-rafi'a
The means of approach, and the excellence, and the elevated station
وَ الْغِبْطَةَ وَ شَرَفَ الْمُنْتَهى وَ النَّصيبَ
Wal-ghibṭata wa sharafa al-muntahā wal-naṣība
And the envy-worthy rank, and the honor of the utmost limit, and the portion
الْاَوْفى وَ الْغايَةَ الْقُصْوى وَ الرَّفيعَ الْاَعْلى
Al-awfā wal-ghāyata al-quṣwā wal-rafi'a al-a'lā
The most complete, and the furthest goal, and the highest elevated
حَتّى يَرْضى وَ زِدْهُ بَعْدَ الرِّضا اَللَّهُمَّ
Ḥattā yarḍā wa zidhu ba'da al-riḍā allāhumma
Until he is pleased, and increase him after contentment; O Allah
صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذينَ اَمَرْتَ
Ṣalli 'alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammadin alladhīna amarta
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, whom You commanded
بِطاعَتِهِمْ وَ اَذْهَبْتَ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَ طَهَّرْتَهُمْ
Bi-ṭā'atihim wa adhhabta 'anhumu al-rijsa wa ṭahhartahum
Obedience to them, and You removed from them impurity, and purified them
تَطْهيراً اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Taṭhīran allāhumma ṣalli 'alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammadin
With purification; O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
الَّذينَ اَلْهَمْتَهُمْ عِلْمَكَ وَ اسْتَحْفَظْتَهُمْ كُتُبَكَ
Alladhīna alhamtahum 'ilmaka wa istaḥfaẓtahum kutubaka
Whom You inspired with Your knowledge, and entrusted them with Your books
وَ اسْتَرْعَيْتَهُمْ عِبادَكَ
Wa istar'aytahum 'ibādaka
And appointed them over Your servants
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُولِكَ
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin 'abdika wa rasulika
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your messenger
و نَبِيِّكَ وَ حَبيبِكَ وَ خَليلِكَ
Wa nabiyyika wa habibika wa khalilika
And Your prophet, and Your beloved, and Your intimate friend
و سَيِّدِ الْاَوَّلينَ وَ الْاَخِرينَ
Wa sayyidil awwalina wal akhirina
And the master of the first and the last
مِنَ الْاَنْبِياءِ وَ الْمُرْسَلينَ وَ الْخَلْقِ اَجْمَعينَ
Minal anbiya'i wal mursalina wal khalqi ajma'in
Among the prophets, the messengers, and all creation
وَ عَلى الِهِ الطَّيِّبينَ الطَّاهِرينَ
Wa 'ala alihi at-tayyibina at-tahirina
And upon his family, the pure and the purified
الَّذينَ اَمَرْتَ بِطاعَتِهِمْ
Alladhina amarta bi ta'atihim
Those whom You have commanded us to obey
وَ اَوْجَبْتَ عَلَيْنا حَقَّهُمْ وَ مَوَدَّتَهُمْ
Wa awjabta 'alayna haqqahum wa mawaddatahum
And made obligatory upon us their right and love
اَللَّهُمَّ اُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ مَسْأَلَتي وَ حاجَتي
Allahumma uqaddimuhum bayna yaday mas'alti wa hajati
O Allah, I present them before my request and my need
وَ اَسْتَشْفِعُ بِهِمْ عِنْدَكَ اَمامَ طَلِبَتي
Wa astashfi'u bihim 'indaka amama talibati
And I seek their intercession with You before my petition
وَ اَسْأَلُكَ اللَّهُمَّ سُؤالَ وَجِلٍ مِنْ عِقابِكَ
Wa as'aluka Allahumma su'ala wajilin min 'iqabika
And I ask You, O Allah, the asking of one fearful
حاذِرٍ مِنْ نِقْمَتِكَ، فَزِعٍ اِلَيْكَ مِنْكَ
Hadhirin min niqmatika, fazi'in ilayka minka
Afraid of Your wrath, fleeing to You from You
لَمْ يَجِدْ لِفاقَتِهِ مُجيراً غَيْرَكَ
Lam yajid li faqatihi mujiran ghayrak
Who finds no protector for his need other than You
وَ لا لِخَوْفِهِ امِناً غَيْرَ فِنائِكَ
Wa la li khawfihi aminan ghayra finai'ika
And no safety for his fear except in Your presence
وَ تَطَوُّلُكَ يا سَيِّدي وَ مَوْلايَ عَلَيَّ
Wa tatawwulaka ya sayyidi wa mawlaya 'alayya
And Your generosity, O my master and my lord, towards me
مَعَ طُولِ مَعْصِيَتي لَكَ اَقْصَدَني اِلَيْكَ
Ma'a tuli ma'siyati laka aqsadani ilayk
Despite my prolonged disobedience to You, has driven me to You
وَ اِنْ كانَتْ سَبَقَتْنِي الذُّنُوبُ وَ حالَتْ
Wa in kanat sabaqatni adh-dhunubu wa halat
And even if sins have preceded me and have stood
بَيْني وَ بَيْنَكَ، لِاَنَّكَ عِمادُ الْمُعْتَمَدَ
Bayni wa baynak, li annaka 'imadul mu'tamad
Between me and You, because You are the support of those who rely
وَ رَصَدُ الْمُرْتَصِدِ، لاتَنْقُصُكَ الْمَواهِبُ
Wa rasadul murtasid, la tanqusuka al-mawahib
And the observer of those who watch, gifts do not diminish You
وَ لاتُغيضُكَ الْمَطالِبُ، فَلَكَ الْمِنَنُ الْعِظامُ
Wa la tughiduka al-matalib, falaka al-minan al-'izam
And demands do not exhaust You, for Yours are the great favors
وَ النِّعَمُ الْجِسامُ يا كَثيرَ الْخَيْرِ
Wan ni'amul jisam ya kathiral khayr
And the immense blessings, O Possessor of abundant good
يا دائِمَ الْمَعْرُوفِ، يا مَنْ لاتَنْقُصُ خَزائِنُهُ
Ya da'imal ma'ruf, ya man la tanqusu khaza'inuh
O Ever-Continuing in kindness, O One whose treasures never diminish
وَ لايَبيدُ مُلْكُهُ وَ لاتَراهُ الْعُيُونُ
Wa la yabidu mulkuhu wa la tarahul 'uyun
And whose kingdom never perishes, and eyes cannot perceive Him
وَ لاتَعْزُبُ مِنْهُ حَرَكَةٌ وَ لا سَكُونٌ
Wa la ta'zubu minhu harakatun wa la sukun
And no movement or stillness escapes His knowledge
لَمْ تَزَلْ سَيِّدي وَ لاتَزالُ
Lam tazal sayyidi wa la tazal
You have always been, O my Lord, and You will always be
وَ لايَتَوارى عَنْكَ مُتَوارٍ في كَنينِ اَرْضٍ
Wa la yatawara 'anka mutawarin fi kanini ard
And no one can hide from You, hidden in the depths of earth
وَ لا سَماءٍ، وَ لا تُخُومٍ وَ لا قَرارٍ
Wa la sama', wa la tukhumin wa la qarar
Or sky, nor in boundaries nor in any abode
تَكَفَّلْتَ بِالْاَرْزاقِ يا رازِقُ
Takaffalta bil arzaqi ya raziq
You have undertaken the provision of sustenance, O Provider
وَ تَقَدَّسْتَ عَنْ اَنْ تَتَناوَلَكَ الصِّفاتُ
Wa taqaddasta 'an an tatanawalaka as-sifat
And You are sanctified beyond being described by attributes
وَ تَعَزَّزْتَ عَنْ اَنْ تُحيطَ بِكَ تَصاريفُ اللُّغاتِ
Wa ta'azzazta 'an an tuhita bika tasariful lugat
And You are exalted beyond the variations of languages encompassing You
وَ لَمْ تَكُنْ مُسْتَحْدَثاً فَتُوجَدَ مُنْتَقِلاً
Wa lam takun mustahdathan fa tujada muntaqilan
And You were not created, nor do You transition
'An halatin ila halah
From one state to another
بَلْ اَنْتَ الْفَرْدُ الْاَوَّلُ وَ الْاَخِرُ
Bal anta al-fardu al-awwalu wal akhir
Rather, You are the One, the First and the Last
وَ الْباطِنُ وَ الظَّاهِرُ، ذُوالْعِزِّ الْقاهِرِ
Wal batinu wal zahir, dhul 'izzi al-qahir
And the Inner and the Outer, Possessor of overpowering might
جَزيلُ الْعَطاءِ جَليلُ الثَّناءِ
Jazilul 'ata'i jaliluth thana'
Abundant in giving, magnificent in praise
سابِغُ النَّعْماءِ، دائِمُ الْبَقاءِ
Sabighun na'ma', da'imul baqa'
Bestower of abundant blessings, Eternal in existence
اَحَقُّ مَنْ تَجاوَزَ وَ عَفى عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَ
Ahaqqu man tajawaza wa 'afa 'amman zalama
Most worthy of those who pardon and forgive those who wronged
Wa asa' bi kulli lisan
And sinned, with every tongue
Ilahi 'abduka yahmad
My God, Your servant praises
وَ في كُلِّ الشَّدائِدِ عَلَيْكَ يَعْتَمِدُ
Wa fi kulli ash-shada'idi 'alayka ya'tamid
And in all hardships, he relies upon You
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ الْمَجْدُ لِاَنَّكَ الْمالِكُ الْاَبَدُ
Falaka al-hamdu wal majdu li annaka al-maliku al-abad
So to You belongs all praise and glory, for You are the Eternal Owner
وَ الرَّبُّ السَّرْمَدُ، اَتْقَنْتَ اِنْشاءَ الْبَرايا
War rabbu sarmad, atqanta insha'al baraya
And the Everlasting Lord, You perfected the creation of all beings
فَاَحْكَمْتَها بِلُطْفِ التَّقْديرِ
Fa ahkamta bi lutfi at-taqdir
And made them precise with the subtlety of decree
وَ تَعالَيْتَ فِي ارْتِفاعِ شَأْنِكَ
Wa ta'alayta fi irtifa'i sha'nika
And You are exalted in the loftiness of Your status
عَنْ اَنْ يُنْفَذَ فيكَ حُكْمُ التَّغْييرِ
'An an yunfada fika hukmu at-taghyir
Beyond any decree of change being executed upon You
اَوْ يُحْتالَ مِنْكَ بِحالٍ يَصِفُكَ بِهِ الْمُلْحِدُ
Aw yuhtala minka bi halin yasifuka bihil mulhid
Or that any scheme be devised against You by a heretic
Ila tabdil
Describing You with alteration
اَوْ يُوجَدَ فِي الزِّيادَةِ وَ النُّقْصانِ
Aw yujada fi az-ziyadati wan nuqsan
Or that there be found in increase or decrease
مَساغٌ فِي اخْتِلافِ التَّحْويلِ
Masaghun fi ikhtilafi at-tahwil
Any passage for varying transformation
اَوْ تَلْتَثِقَ سَحائِبُ الْاِحاطَةِ بِكَ
Aw taltathiqa saha'ibul ihata bi ka
Or that clouds of encompassing knowledge of You
في بُحُورِ هِمَمِ الْاَحْلامِ
Fi buhuri himamil ahlam
Gather in the oceans of aspirations of dreams
اَوْ تُمَثَّلَ لَكَ مِنْها جِبِلَّةٌ
Aw tumaththala laka minha jibillatun
Or that any created nature be represented for You
تَضِلُّ اِلَيْكَ فيها رَوِيَّاتُ الْاَوْهامِ
Tadillu ilayka fiha ruwayyatul awham
Wherein the wanderings of illusions stray towards You
فَلَكَ مَوْلايَ انْقادَ الْخَلْقُ مُسْتَخْذِئينَ
Falaka mawlaya inqada al-khalqu mustakhdi'in
So to You, O my Lord, creation has submitted in humility
بِاِقْرارِ الرُّبُوبِيَّةِ، وَ مُعْتَرِفينَ خاضِعينَ
Bi iqrari ar-rububiyyah, wa mu'tarifina khadi'ina
Acknowledging Your Lordship, and confessing, submitting
Laka bil 'ubudiyyah
To You in servitude
سُبْحانَكَ ما اَعْظَمَ شَأْنَكَ، وَ اَعْلى مَكانَكَ
Subhanaka ma a'zama sha'nak, wa a'la makanak
Glory be to You, how great is Your status, and how exalted is Your position
وَ اَنْطَقَ بِالصِّدْقِ بُرْهانَكَ، وَ اَنْفَذَ اَمْرَكَ
Wa antaqa bis-sidqi burhanak, wa anfaza amrak
And Your proof speaks with truth, and Your command is executed
وَ اَحْسَنَ تَقْديرَكَ، سَمَكْتَ السَّماءَ فَرَفَعْتَها
Wa ahsana taqdirak, samakta as-sama'a fa rafa'taha
And Your decree is most perfect, You raised the heaven and elevated it
وَ مَهَّدْتَ الْاَرْضَ فَفَرَشْتَها
Wa mahhadta al-arda fa farashtaha
And You spread the earth and laid it out
وَ اَخْرَجْتَ مِنْها ماءً ثَجَّاجاً وَ نَباتاً رَجْراجاً
Wa akhrajta minha ma'an thajjajan wa nabatan rajraja
And You brought forth from it gushing water and swaying vegetation
فَسَبَّحَكَ نَباتُها، وَ جَرَتْ بِاَمْرِكَ مِياهُها
Fa sabbahaka nabatuha, wa jarat bi amrika miyauha
So its vegetation glorifies You, and its waters flow by Your command
وَ قامَتْ عَلى مُسْتَقَرِّ الْمَشِيَّةِ كَما اَمَرْتَهُما
Wa qamat 'ala mustaqarri al-mashiyyati kama amartahuma
And they stand upon the foundation of Your will as You commanded them both
فَيا مَنْ تَعَزَّزَ بِالْبَقاءِ
Faya man ta'azza bil-baqa'
So O You who is mighty through eternal existence
وَ قَهَرَ عِبادَهُ بِالْفَناءِ
Wa qahara 'ibadahu bil-fana'
And subdues His servants through mortality
اَكْرِمْ مَثْواىَ فَاِنَّكَ خَيْرُ مُنْتَجَعٍ لِكَشْفِ الضُّرِّ
Akrim mathwaya fa innaka khayru muntaja'in li kashfi ad-durr
Honor my abode, for indeed You are the best refuge for removing harm
يا مَنْ هُوَ مَأْمُولٌ في كُلِّ عُسْرٍ
Ya man huwa ma'mulun fi kulli 'usrin
O You who is hoped for in every hardship
وَ مُرْتَجىً لِكُلِّ يُسْرٍ
Wa murtajan li kulli yusr
And sought for every ease
بِكَ اَنْزَلْتُ الْيَوْمَ حاجَتي، وَ اِلَيْكَ اَبْتَهِلُ
Bika anzaltu al-yawma hajati, wa ilayka abtahil
In You I place my need today, and to You I earnestly pray
فَلاتَرُدَّني خائِباً مِمَّا رَجَوْتُ
Fa la taruddni kha'iban mimma rajawtu
So do not send me back disappointed from what I have hoped
وَ لاتَحْجُبْ دُعائي عَنْكَ اِذْ فَتَحْتَهُ لي
Wa la tahjub du'a'i 'anka idh fatahtahu li
And do not veil my supplication from You when You have opened it for me
قَدْ دَعَوْتُ فَصَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحمَّدٍ
Qad da'awtu fa salli 'ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad
I have called, so send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
وَ سَكِّنْ رَوْعَتي، وَ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَتي
Wa sakkin raw'ati, wastur 'awrati
And calm my fear, and conceal my faults
وَ ارْزُقْني مِنْ فِضْلِكَ الْواسِعِ رِزْقاً واسِعاً
War zuqni min fadlika al-wasi'i rizqan wasi'a
And provide me from Your abundant grace with abundant provision
سائِغاً هَنيئاً مَريئاً لَذيذاً في عافِيَةٍ
Sa'ighan hani'an mari'an ladhidhan fi 'afiyah
Easy to swallow, pleasant, agreeable, delicious, in good health
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ اَيَّامي يَوْمَ اَلْقاكَ
Allahumma ij'al khayra ayyami yawma alqak
O Allah, make the best of my days the day I meet You
وَ اغْفِرْلي خَطاياىَ فَقَدْ اَوْحَشَتْني
Waghfir li khataaya fa qad awhashatni
And forgive my sins, for they have made me feel desolate
وَ تَجاوَزْ عَنْ ذُنُوبي فَقَدْ اَوْبَقَتْني
Wa tajawaz 'an dhunubi fa qad awbaqatni
And overlook my wrongdoings, for they have brought me to ruin
فَاِنَّكَ مُجيبٌ مُثيبٌ، رَقيبٌ قَريبٌ
Fa innaka mujibun muthib, raqibun qarib
For indeed You are the Answerer, the Rewarder, the Watchful, the Near
قادِرٌ غافِرٌ قاهِرٌ، رَحيمٌ كَريمٌ قَيُّومٌ
Qadirun ghafirun qahir, rahimun karimun qayyum
The Powerful, the Forgiving, the Dominant, the Merciful, the Generous, the Self-Subsisting
وَ ذلِكَ عَلَيْكَ يَسيرٌ وَ اَنْتَ اَحْسَنُ الْخالِقينَ
Wa dhalika 'alayka yasirun wa anta ahsanul khaliqin
And that is easy for You, and You are the Best of creators
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ افْتَرَضْتَ عَلَيَّ لِلْاباءِ وَ الْاُمَّهاتِ حُقُوقاً
Allahumma innaka iftardta 'alayya lil aba'i wal ummahati huquqan
O Allah, indeed You have obligated upon me rights for fathers and mothers
فَعَظَّمْتَهُنَّ، وَ اَنْتَ اَوْلى مَنْ حَطَّ الْاَوْزارِ
Fa 'azzamtahunna, wa anta awla man hatta al-awzar
And You have magnified them, and You are most worthy of removing burdens
وَ خَفِّفْها وَ اَدِّى الْحُقُوقَ عَنْ عَبيدِهِ
Wa khaffifha wa addi al-huquqa 'an 'ibidihi
And lighten them, and fulfill the rights on behalf of Your servants
فَاحْتَمِلْهُنَّ عَنّي اِلَيْهِما
Fahtamilhunna 'anni ilayhima
So bear them from me to them both
وَ اغْفِرْلَهُما كَما رَجاكَ كُلُّ مُوَحِّدٍ
Waghfir lahuma kama rajaka kullu muwahhidin
And forgive them both as every monotheist has hoped from You
مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِناتِ
Ma'al mu'minina wal mu'minat
Along with the believing men and women
وَ الْاِخْوَةِ وَ الْاَخَواتِ
Wal ikhwati wal akhawat
And the brothers and the sisters
وَ اَلْحِقْنا وَ اِيَّاهُمْ بِالْاَبْرارِ
Wa alhiqna wa iyyahum bil abrar
And join us and them with the righteous
وَ اَبِحْ لَنا وَ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتِكَ مَعَ النُّجَباءِ
Wa abih lana wa lahum jannatika ma'an nujaba'il
And grant us and them entry to Your gardens with the noble
Al akhyar
And the good
اِنَّكَ سَميعُ الدُّعاءِ، قَريبٌ مُجيبٌ لِما تَشاءُ
Innaka sami'ud du'a', qaribun mujibun lima tasha'
Indeed You are the Hearer of supplication, the Near, the Answerer to what You will
وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلى سَيِّدِنا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ
Wa salla Allahu 'ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa alihi
And may Allah send prayers upon our master Muhammad and his family
Wa sallama taslima
And grant peace abundantly
