اللّهُمَّ إنِّي بِكَ وَمِنْكَ أَطْلُبُ حَاجَتِي،

allahumma inne bika waminka atlubu hajate

O Allah: From You and by You, I beseech for settling my need,

وَمَنْ طَلَبَ حَاجَةً إلَى النَّاسِ

waman talaba hajatan ilan-nas

If others beg people for settling their needs,

فَإنِّي لا أَطْلُبُ حَاجَتِي إلا مِنْكَ

fa-inne la atlubu hajate illa mink

I ask none except You for settling my need;

وَحْدَكَ لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ،

wahdaka la shareka lak

From You alone, since You have no partner with You

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

wa-as`aluka bifadhlika waridhwanik

and I thus implore You in the name of Your favor and Your pleasure,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa-ahli baytih

to send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِي فِي عَامِي هذَا إلَى بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ سَبِيلاً

wa-an taj'ala le fe `ame hadha ila baytikal-harami sabela

And to choose for me a way to Your Holy House this year:

حِجَّةً مَبْرُورَةً مُتَقَبَّلَةً زَاكِيةً خَالِصَةً لَكَ

hijjatan mabruratan mutaqabbalatan zakiyatan khalisatan lak

A pilgrimage that is admitted, accepted, pure, and sincerely for You

تَقَرُّ بِهَا عَيْنِي،

taqarru biha `ayne

By which You delight me,

وَتَرْفَعُ بِهَا دَرَجَتِي،

watarfa’u biha darajate

And raise my rank with You

وَتَرْزُقَنِي أَنْ أَغُضَّ بَصَرِي،

watarzuqane an aghudhdha basare

And to confer upon me with the grace of making me cast my sight down (against what is illegal for me to look at)

وَأَنْ أَحْفَظَ فَرْجِي،

wa-an ahfaza farje

And making me act chastely

وَأَنْ أَكُفَّ بِهَا عَنْ جَمِيعِ مَحَارِمِكَ

wa-an akuffa biha `an jame’i maharimik

And making me stop committing any deed that You have deemed unlawful

حَتَّى لا يَكُونَ شَيْءٌ آثَرَ عِنْدِي مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ وَخَشْيَتِكَ

hatta la yakuna shay`un athara `inde min ta’atika wakhashyatik

So that nothing will be more preferred in my sight than the obedience to You and the fear of You

وَالْعَمَلِ بِمَا أَحْبَبْتَ،

wal-`amali bima ahbabta

And doing all that which You love,

وَالتَّرْكِ لِمَا كَرِهْتَ وَنَهَيْتَ عَنْهُ،

wat-tarki lima karihta wanahayta `anh

And avoiding all that which You have detested and warned against.

وَاجْعَلْ ذلِكَ فِي يُسْرٍ وَيَسَارٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ وَمَا أَنْعَمْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ،

waj’al dhalika fe yusrin wayasarin wa-`afiyatin wama an’amta bihe `alayy

And (please) make all that take place with easiness, lenience, and good health as well as the grave that You have bestowed upon me.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ وَفَاتِي قَتْلاً فِي سَبِيلِكَ

wa-as`aluka an tahala wafate qatlan fe sabelik

And I beseech You to cause me to die as martyr for Your sake,

تَحْتَ رَايَةِ نَبِيِّكَ مَعَ أَوْلِيَائِكَ،

tahta rayati nabiyyik ma’a awliya`ik

Under the pennon of Your Prophet and in the line of Your intimate servants.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ بِي أَعْدَاءَكَ وَأَعْدَاءَ رَسُولِكَ،

wa-as`aluka an taqtula be a’da`aka wa-a’da`a rasulik

And I ask You to make me the means of killing Your enemies and the enemies of Your Messenger.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُكْرِمَنِي بِهَوَانِ مَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa-as`aluka an tukrimane bihawani man shi`ta min khalqik

And I ask You to honor me through humiliating any one of Your created beings that You choose,

وَلا تُهِنِّي بِكَرَامَةِ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ.

wala tuhinne bikaramati ahadin min awliya`ik

And not to humiliate me through honoring any of Your intimate servants.

اللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلاً،

allahummaj’al le ma’ar-rasuli sabela

O Allah: find me a way with the Messenger.

حَسْبِيَ اللّهُ، مَا شَاءَ اللّهُ.

hasbiyallahu ma sha’ allah.

Allah is Sufficient unto me! Only that which Allah wants shall take place.

O Allah: the Lord of the month of Ramadhan in which You have revealed the Qur'an

allahumma rabba shahri ramdhana alladhy anzalta fehi alqur’ana

اللّهُمَّ رَبَّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ،

And made obligatory fasting in this month upon Your servants.

waftaradhta `ala `ibadika fehi alssiyama

وَافْتَرَضْتَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ فِيهِ الصِّيَامَ،

Please send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

And provide me with the opportunity of going to Your ‘Sacred House’ for pilgrimage in this year and in all years.

warzuqny hajj baytika alharami fe `amy hadha wa fe kulli `amin

وارْزُقْنِي حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ فِي هذَا الْعَامِ وَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ،

Forgive my overbearing sins,

waghfir le tilka aldhdhnuba al`izama

وَاغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوبَ الْعِظَامَ

for verily no one other than You can do it,

fa’innahu la yaghfiruha ghayruka

فَإنَّهُ لا يَغْفِرُهَا غَيْرُكَ

O the All-beneficent; O the All-knowing.

ya rahmnu ya `allamu

يَا رَحْمنُ يَا عَلاَّمُ.

O Allah: (please do) include us with the righteous ones, out of Your mercy.

allahumma birahmatika fe alssalihena fa-adkhilna

اللّهُمَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي الصَّالِحِينَ فَأَدْخِلْنَا،

And uplift us to the rank of `illiyyen (most elevated rank).

wa fe `illiyyena farfa`na

وَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ فَارْفَعْنَا،

And serve us with water running out of spring of Salsabel.

wa bikasin min ma`enin min `aynin salsabelin fasqina

وَبِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ مِنْ عَيْنٍ سَلْسَبِيلٍ فَاسْقِنَا،

And, out of Your mercy, give us as wives the women of Paradise.

wa mina alhuri al`eni birahmatika fazawwijna

وَمِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فَزَوِّجْنَا،

And make the Paradisiacal youths who never alter in age and who are like hidden pearls serve us.

wa mina alwildani almukhalldena ka-annahum lu´lu´un maknunun fa-akhdimna

وَمِنَ الْوِلْدَانِ الْمُخَلَّدِينَ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ فَأَخْدِمْنَا،

And give us food from the fruits of Paradise and from the meat of birds there.

wa min thimari aljannati wa luhumi altteri fat`imna

وَمِنْ ثِمَارِ الْجَنَّةِ وَلُحُومِ الطَّيْرِ فَأَطْعِمْنَا،

And dress us from the clothes of fine and thick silk and rich brodace.

wa min thiyabi alssundusi wal-hareri wal-istabraqi fa-albisna

وَمِنْ ثِيَابِ السُّنْدُسِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَالإسْتَبْرَقِ فَأَلْبِسْنَا،

And give us success to catch the Grand Night

wa laylata alqadri

وَلَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ،

The pilgrimage to Your Holy House,

wa hajj baytika alharami

وَحَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ،

And the martyrdom in Your way.

wa qatlan fe sabelika fawaffiq lana

وَقَتْلاً فِي سَبِيلِكَ فَوَفِّقْ لَنَا،

And respond to our goodly prayer and invocation.

wa saliha aldd`a‘i wal-masalati fastajib lana

وَصَالِحَ الدُّعَاءِ وَالْمَسْأَلَةِ فَاسْتَجِبْ لَنَا،

And when You shall gather the past and the coming generations on the Resurrection Day, (please) have mercy upon us.

wa idha jama`ta al-awwalena wal-akhirena yawma alqiyamati farhamna

وَإذَا جَمَعْتَ الأَوَّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَارْحَمْنَا،

And (please) release us from Hellfire.

wa bara‘atan mina alnnari faktub lana

وَبَرَاءَةً مِنَ النَّارِ فَاكْتُبْ لَنَا،

And do not fetter us in Hell.

wa fe jahannama fala taghullana

وَفِي جَهَنَّمَ فَلا تَغُلَّنَا،

And do not try us through Your chastisement and humiliations.

wa fe `adhabika wa hawanika fala tabtalina

وَفِي عَذَابِكَ وَهَوَانِكَ فَلا تَبْتَلِنَا،

And do not feed us from zaqqum and thorns.

wa mina alzzuqqumi wal-dhdhare`i fala tut`imna

وَمِنَ الزُّقُّومِ وَالضَّرِيعِ فَلا تُطْعِمْنَا،

And do not add us to the devils.

wa ma`a alshshayateni fala taj`alna

وَمَعَ الشَّيَاطِينِ فَلا تَجْعَلْنَا،

And do not throw us down on our faces in Hellfire.

wa fe alnnari `ala wujuhina fala takbubna

وَفِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِنَا فَلا تَكْبُبْنَا،

And do not dress us from the clothes of fire and the shirts of pitchl

wa min theabi alnnari wa sarabeli alqatirani fala tulbisna

وَمِنْ ثِيَابِ النَّارِ وَسَرَابِيلِ الْقَطِرَانِ فَلا تُلْبِسْنَا،

And save us from all evils; O there is no god save You, I beseech You in the name of there is no god save You.

wa min kulli su‘in ya la ilaha illa anta bihaqqi la ilaha illa anta fanajjina

وَمِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ يَا لا إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ بِحَقِّ لا إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ فَنَجِّنَا.

O Allah :I beseech You that You,

allahumma inne asaluka an taj`ala fema taqdhy wa tuqaddiru

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

while taking decisions and rendering possible things and events decisively

mina al-amri almahtumi fe alamri alhakemi

مِنَ الأَمْرِ الْمَحْتُومِ فِي الأَمْرِ الْحَكِيمِ

(decisions which can not be changed or bypassed),

mina alqadha‘i alladhy la yuradd wa la yubaddalu

مِنَ الْقَضَاءِ الَّذِي لا يُرَدُّ وَلا يُبَدَّلُ

write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Your Holy House

an taktubany min hujjaji baytika alharami

أَنْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

whose pilgrimage receives Your approval,

almabruri hajjuhum

الْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ،

whose efforts are appreciated,

almashkuri sa`yuhum

الْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ،

whose sins are forgiven,

almaghfuri dhunubuhum

الْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ،

whose wrongdoings are overlooked;

almukaffri `an sayyi’atihim

الْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ،

that You, while making decisions and rendering possible things and events;

wa an taj`ala fema taqdhy wa tuqaddiru

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

make possible for me long life, goodness, welfare,

an tutela `umry fe khayrin wa `afiyatin

أَنْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي فِي خَيْرٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ،

and enough means of livelihood,

wa tuwassi`a fe rizqe

وَتُوَسِّعَ في رِزْقِي،

and let me be like him whom You helps with Your Religion;

wa taj`alany mimmn tantasiru bihi lidenika

وَتَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ تَنْتَصِرُ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ

not substituting anyother in my place.

wa la tastabdil by ghayre

وَلا تَسْتَبْدِلْ بِي غَيْرِي.

I seek refuge with the majesty of Your Honorable Face,

a`udhu bijalali wajhika alkaremi

أَعُوذُ بِجَلالِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ

Agains that the month of Ramadhan elapses

an yanqadhiya `anne shahru ramadhana

أَنْ يَنْقَضِيَ عَنِّي شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ

Or dawn breaks this night,

aw yatlu`a alfajru min laylaty hadhihi

أَوْ يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ مِنْ لَيْلَتِي هذِهِ

And there is still a sin or an offense in my record for which You may chastise me.

wa laka qibaly tabi`atun aw dhanbun tu`adhdhbuny `alayhi

وَلَكَ قِبَلِي تَبِعَةٌ أَوْ ذَنْبٌ تُعَذِّبُنِي عَلَيْهِ.

إلهِي وَقَفَ السّائِلُونَ بِبَابِكَ،

ilahe waqafas-sa`iluna bibabik

O my God: The beseechers have stood at Your Door

وَلاذَ الفُقَراءُ بِجَنابِكَ،

waladhal-fuqara`u bijanabik

And the poor have resorted to Your refuge

وَوَقَفَتْ سَفِينَةُ المسَاكِينِ عَلَى سَاحِلِ بَحْرِ جُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ

wawaqafat safenatul-masakeni ‘ala sahili bahri judika wakaramik

And the ship of the needy have cast anchor near the coast of the sea of Your Magnanimity and Generosity

يَرْجُونَ الجَوَازَ إلَى سَاحَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَنِعْمَتِكَ.

yarjunal jawaza ila sahati rahmatika wani’matik

Hoping for permission to enter the yard of Your Mercy and Favor

إلهِي إنْ كُنْتَ لا تَرْحَم فِي هَذا الشَّهْرِ الشَّرِيفِ إلاّ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ لَكَ فِي صِيَامِهِ وَقِيَامِهِ،

ilahe in kunta la tarhamu fe hadhash-shahrish-sharefi illa man akhlasa laka fe siyamihe waqiyamih

O my God : If You, in this holy month, will have mercy upon none but those who sincerely observe fasting and do acts of worship to You,

فَمَنْ لِلْمُذْنِبِ المُقَصِّرِ إذَا غَرِقَ فِي بَحْرِ ذُنُوبِهِ وَآثَامِهِ؟

faman lil-mudhnibil-muqassiri idha ghariqa fe bahri dhunubihe wa athamih

Who will then stand for the sinful and the negligent who sinks in the ocean of his sins and offenses?

إلهِي إنْ كُنْتَ لا تَرْحَم إلاّ المُطِيعِينَ فَمَنْ لِلْعاصِينَ؟

ilahe in kunta la tarhamu illal-mute’ena faman lil-‘as'en

O my God : If you have mercy upon non but the obedient to You, who will then stand for the disobedient?

وَإنْ كُنْتَ لا تَقْبَل إلاّ مِنْ العَامِلِينَ فَمَنْ للْمُقَصِّرِينَ؟

wa in kunta la taqbalu illa minal-‘amilena faman lil-muqassiren

And if You accept none but those who do acts of worship to You, who will then stand for the negligent?

إلهِي رَبِحَ الصّائِمُونَ،

Ilahe rabihas-sa`imun

O my God : The observers of fasting have won

وَفَازَ القَائِمُونَ،

wafazal-qa`imun

The doers of acts of worship to You have prospered

وَنَجَا الُمخْلِصُونَ،

wanajal-mukhlisun

Adn those who act sincerely have been saved

وَنَحْنُ عَبِيدُكَ المُذْنِبُونَ فَارْحَمْنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ،

wanahnu ‘abedukal-mudhnibuna farhamna birahmatik

But we, Your sinful servants, beseech Your mercy; so, (please do) have mercy upon us

وَأَعْتِقْنَا مِنَ النَّارِ بَعَفْوِك،

wa a’tiqna minan-nari bi’afwik

And release us from the chastisement of Hellfire, out of Your pardon

وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا

waghfir lana dhunubana

And forgive our sins

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا أَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhamar-rahimen

Out of Your mercy; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

Glory be to Him Who watches over, never leaves anything undone, or is neglectful.

subhana man huwa hafezun la yaghfulu!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ حَفِيظٌ لا يَغْفُلُ!

Glory be to Him Who is Merciful, never does a thing in haste.

subhana man huwa rahemun la ya`jalu!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ رَحِيمٌ لا يَعْجَلُ!

Glory be to Him Who is vigilant, never forgets one thing over another.

subhana man huwa qa’imun la yas-hu!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ لا يَسْهُو!

Glory be to Him Who is alert and steady, never is engrossed with a thing so as to overlook another.

subhana man huwa da’imun la yalhu!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ دَائِمٌ لا يَلْهُو!

All glory be to Allah;

Subhana allahi

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ،

and All praise be to Allah;

wal-hamdu lillahi

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ،

and there is no god save Allah;

wa la ilaha illa allahu

وَلا إلهَ إلاَّ اللّهُ،

and Allah is the Greatest.

wa allahu akbaru

وَاللّهُ أَكْبَرُ.

Glory be to You, Glory be to You, Glory be to You,

subhanaka subhanaka subhanaka!

سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ سُبْحَانَكَ!

O the Mighty, forgive my sins, one and all, altogether.

ya `azemu aghfir liya aldhdhanba al`azema

يَا عَظِيمُ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذَّنْبَ الْعَظِيمَ.

O Allah: at the time of taking decisions

allahumma aj`al fema taqdhy wa tuqaddiru

اللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

That are inevitable

mina al-amri almahtumi

مِنَ الأَمْرِ الْمَحْتُومِ

and rendering possible things and events decisively, in the night of Qadr,

wa fema tafruqu mina al-amri alhakemi fe laylati alqadri

وَفِيمَا تَفْرُقُ مِنَ الأَمْرِ الْحَكِيمِ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Your  ‘Sacred House’

an taj`alany min hujjaji baytika alharami

أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

whose pilgrimage receive Your approval,

almabruri hajjhumu

الْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ،

whose efforts are appreciated,

almashkuri sa`yuhumu

الْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ،

whose sins are forgiven,

almaghfuri dhunubuhum

الْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ،

And I pray You to make possible for me long life obeying You

wa as’aluka an tutela `umry fe ta`atika

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي فِي طَاعَتِكَ،

And to grant me enough means of livelihood.

wa tuwassi`a le fe rizqe

وَتُوَسِّعَ لِي فِي رِزْقِي،

O the All-merciful of all those who show mercy.

ya arhama alrrahimena

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

يَا مَفْزَعِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي،

ya mafza`y `inda kurbate

O my Safe haven at grievances!

وَيَا غَوْثِي عِنْدَ شِدّتِي،

wa ya ghawthy `inda shiddate

O my Aide at hardships!

إلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ،

ilayka fazi`tu

To You do I turn,

وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ،

wa bika istaghathtu

And Your help do I seek,

وَبِكَ لُذْتُ،

wa bika ludhtu

And with You do I take refuge,

لا أَلُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ،

la aludhu bisiwaka

I seek refuge with none save You;

وَلا أَطْلُبُ الْفَرَجَ إلاَّ مِنْكَ،

wa la atlubu alfaraja illa minka

And I beseech none for relief save You,

فَأَغِثْنِي وَفَرّجْ عَنّي،

fa-aghithny wa farrij `anne

So, (please) come to my help and free me from cares.

يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ الْيَسِيرَ،

ya man yaqbalu aliyasera

O He Who accept even the least efforts

وَيَعْفُو عَنِ الْكَثِيرِ،

wa ya`fu `ani alkatheri

And excuses the much wrongdoing:

اقْبَلْ مِنّي الْيَسِيرَ،

iqbal minny aliyasera

(please do) accept my little effort

وَاعْفُ عَنّي الْكَثِيرَ،

wa`fu `anne alkathera

And excuse my much wrongdoing,

إنّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرّحِيمُ.

innaka anta alghafuru alrrahemu

Verily, You are the Oft-forgiving, Merciful (Lord).

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ إيمَاناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي،

allahumma inne as’aluka ‘emanan tubashiru bihi qalbe

O Allah: I ask for the faith with which You may fill in my heart

وَيَقِيناً حَتَّى أَعْلَمَ أَنّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِي إلاَّ مَا كَتَبْتَ لِي،

wa yaqenan hatta a`lama annhu lan yusebany illa ma katabta le

And for certitude so that I shall always know that nothing will afflict me save what You have ordained for me.

وَرَضّنِي مِنَ الْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي،

wa radhdhiny mina al`ayshi bima qasamta le

And (please) make me feel satisfied with the living that You decide for me;

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ،

ya arhama alrrahimena

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

يَا عُدّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي،

ya `uddaty fe kurbate

O my means at times of agonies,

وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدّتِي،

wa ya sahiby fe shiddate

O my companion at times of hardships,

وَيَا وَلِيّي فِي نِعْمَتِي،

wa ya waliyyiy fe ni`mate

O the Source of my all bounties,

وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي،

wa ya ghaiyaty fe raghbate

O my ultimate goal whenever I desire for something,

أَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي،

anta alssatiru `awrate

It is You Who is the concealer of my defects,

وَالآمِنُ رَوْعَتِي،

wal-aminu raw`ate

And it is You Who secures me at times of horror,

وَالْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي،

wal-muqelu `athrate

And it is You Who overlooks my slips,

فَاغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي،

faghfir le khate’ate

So, (please do) forgive my sin,

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

ya arhama alrrahimena

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

إنّ اللّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلّونَ عَلَى النّبِيّ

inna allaha wa mala’ikatahu yusalluna `ala alnnabiyyi

Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet,

يَا أَيّهَا الّذِينَ آمَنُوَا صَلّوَا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمُوَا تَسْلِيماً،

ya ayyuha alladhena amanu sallu `alayhi wa sallmu tasleman

O you who believe: Call for Divine blessings on him and salute him with a becoming salutation

لَبّيْكَ يَارَبّ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَسُبْحَانَكَ.

labbayka ya rabbi wa sa`dayka wa subhanaka

Here I am at Your service, my Lord! Doing that which pleases You, and glory be to You.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

wa barik `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

And send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا صَلّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَى إبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلِ إبْرَاهِيمَ

kama sallayta wa barakta `ala ibrahema wa ali ibrahema

In the same way as You have blessed and conferred benedictions upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham,

إنّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

innaka hamedun majedun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللّهُمّ ارْحَمْ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma irham muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) have mercy upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا رَحِمْتَ إبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ إبْرَاهِيمَ

kama rahimta ibrahema wa ala ibrahema

As You had mercy upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham,

إنّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

innaka hamedun majedun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللّهُمّ سَلّمْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma sallm `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) send peace upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

كَمَا سَلّمْتَ عَلَى نُوحٍ فِي العَالَمِينَ.

kama sallmta `ala nuhin fe al`alamena

As You sent peace upon Noah among all the creatures.

اللّهُمّ امْنُنْ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma amnun `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) confer favors on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ.

kama mananta `ala musa wa haruna

As You conferred a favor upon (Prophets) Moses and Aaron.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ كَمَا شَرّفْتَنَا بِهِ.

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin kama sharrftana bihi

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as You have honored us by him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ كَمَا هَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ.

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin kama hadaytana bihi

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as You have guided us through him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الأَوّلُونَ وَالآخِرُونَ،

wab`athhu maqaman mahmudan yaghbituhu bihi alawuluna wal-akhiruna

And send his a praiseworthy standing due to which all the past and the coming generations shall covet him.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ أَوْ غَرَبَتْ،

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullma tala`at shamsun aw gharabat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever the sun rises and sets.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا طَرَفَتْ عَيْنٌ أَوْ بَرَقَتْ،

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullma tarafat `aynun aw baraqat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an eye twinkles or glitters.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا ذُكِرَ السّلامُ،

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullma dhukira alssalamu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever peace is mentioned.

عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ كُلّمَا سَبّحَ اللّهَ مَلَكٌ أَوْ قَدّسَهُ،

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullma sabbaha allaha malakun aw qaddasahu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an angel glorifies or exalts Allah.

السّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الأَوّلِينَ،

alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fe al-awwalena

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the past generations.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ،

wa alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fe alakhirena

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the last generations.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي الدّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.

wa alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fe alddunya wal-akhirati

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household in this world and in the Hereafter.

اللّهُمّ رَبّ البَلَدِ الحَرَامِ،

allahumma rabba albaladi alharami

O Allah; Lord of the Holy Town,

وَرَبّ الرّكْنِ وَالمَقَامِ،

wa rabba alrrukni wal-maqami

And Lord of the Rukn and the Maqam,

وَرَبّ الحِلّ وَالحَرَامِ

wa rabba alhill wal-harami

And the Lord of legality and sanctuary,

أَبْلِغْ مُحَمّداً نَبِيّكَ عَنَّا السّلامَ.

abligh muhammadan nabiyyaka `anna alssalama

(Please do) convey our greetings to Muhammad, Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ أَعْطِ مُحَمّداً مِنَ البَهَاءِ وَالنّضْرَةِ

allahumma a`ti muhammadan mina albaha‘i wal-nnadhrati

O Allah: (please do) grant Muhammad brilliance and bloom

وَالسّرُورِ وَالكَرَامَةِ وَالغِبْطَةِ وَالوَسِيلَةِ

wal-ssururi wal-karamati wal-ghibtati wal-waselati

And delight and honor and happiness and right of intervention

وَالمَنْزِلَةِ وَالمَقَامِ وَالشّرَفِ وَالرّفْعَةِ

wal-manzilati wal-maqami wal-shsharafi wal-rrif`ati

And (exalted) rank and (exalted) position and nobility and elevation

وَالشّفَاعَةِ عِنْدَكَ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ

wal-shshafa`ati `indaka yawma alqiyamati

And right of intercession before You at the Resurrection Day

أَفْضَلَ مَا تُعْطِي أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ،

afdhala ma tu`ty ahadan min khalqika

The best that You grant any of Your creations.

وَأَعْطِ مُحَمّداً فَوْقَ مَا تُعْطِي الخَلائِقَ

wa a`ti muhammadan fawqa ma tu`ty alkhala’iqa

And (please) grant Muhammad good that is more than what You grant Your creatures

مِنَ الخَيْرِ أَضْعَافاً كَثِيرَةً لا يُحْصِيهَا غَيْرُكَ.

mina alkhayri adh`afan katheratan la yuhseha ghayruka

With many folds that none can count save You.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

أَطْيَبَ وَأَطْهَرَ وَأَزْكَى وَأَنْمَى

atiyaba wa athara wa azka wa anma

With the most excellent, the purest, the most increasing, the most growing

وَأَفْضَلَ مَا صَلّيْتَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ

wa afdhala ma sallayta `ala ahadin mina al-awwalena wal-akhirena

And the best blessings that You have ever conferred on anyone from the past and the coming generations

وَعَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

wa `ala ahadin min khalqika ya arhama alrrahimena

And on anyone of Your created beings; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ أَمِيرِ المُؤْمِنِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala `aliyy ameri almu´minena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ale, the Commander of the Believers,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who provoke his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man sharika fe damihi

And inflict double chastisement on anyone who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ مُحَمّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ السّلامُ،

allahumma salli `ala fatimata binti nabiyyika muhammadin `alayhi wa alihi alssalamu

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Fatimah, the daughter of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهَا،

wa wal-i man wal-aha

And be the supporter of those who support her,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهَا،

wa `adi man `adaha

And be the enemy of him who provoke her enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهَا،

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamaha

And inflict double chastisement on those who wronged her.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal`an man adha nabiyyka feha

And curse those who injured Your Prophet as they injured her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الحَسَنِ وَالحُسَيْنِ إمَامَيِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala alhasani wal-husayni imamayi almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two leaders of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُمَا،

wa wal-i man wal-ahuma

And be the supporter of anyone who supports them,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُمَا،

wa `adi man `adahuma

And be the enemy of anyone who provoke their enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دِمَائِهِمَا.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man sharika fe dima’ihima

And inflict double chastisement on anyone who had a hand in the shedding of their blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala `aliyy bni alhusayni imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ale ibn al-Husayn, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala muhammadi bni `aliyy imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad ibn `Ale, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala ja`fari bni muhammadin imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ja`far ibn Muhammad, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala musa bni ja`farin imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Musa ibn Ja`far, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man sharika fe damihi

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who had hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ مُوسَى إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyin bni musa imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ale ibn Musa, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man sharika fe damihi

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala muhammadi bni `aliyyin imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad ibn `Ale, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى عَلِيّ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala `aliyy bni muhammadin imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon `Ale ibn Muhammad, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيّ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala alhasani bni `aliyy imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Hasan ibn `Ale, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ العَذَابَ عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ.

wa dha`ifi al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

And inflict double chastisement upon anyone who wronged him.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى الخَلَفِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ إمَامِ المُسْلِمِينَ،

allahumma salli `ala alkhalafi min ba`dihi imami almuslimena

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon the Successor after him, the leader of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاهُ،

wa wal-i man wal-ahu

And be the supporter of anyone who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،

wa `adi man `adahu

And be the enemy of anyone who invokes his enmity,

وَعَجّلْ فَرَجَهُ.

wa `ajjil farajahu

And expedite his Relief.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى القَاسِمِ وَالطَّاهِرِ ابْنَيْ نَبِيّكَ.

allahumma salli `ala alqasimi wal-ttahiri abnay nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon al-Qasim and al-Tahir, the two sons of Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى رُقَيّةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ،

allahumma salli `ala ruqayyata binti nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ruqayyah, the daughter of Your Prophet.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal-`an man adha nabiyyaka feha

And curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى أُمّ كُلْثُومَ بِنْتِ نَبِيّكَ،

allahumma salli `ala ‘umm kulthuma binti nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Ummi-Kulthum, the daughter of Your Prophet.

وَالعَنْ مَنْ آذَى نَبِيّكَ فِيهَا.

wal-`an man adha nabiyyaka feha

And curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلَى ذُرّيّةِ نَبِيّكَ.

allahumma salli `ala dhurriyyati nabiyyika

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon the offspring of Your Prophet.

اللّهُمّ اخْلُفْ نَبِيّكَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ.

allahumma akhluf nabiyyaka fe ahli baytihi

O Allah: (please) be the representative of Your Prophet among his Household.

اللّهُمّ مَكّنْ لَهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ.

allahumma makkin lahum fe alardhi

O Allah: (please do) grant them power in the land.

اللّهُمّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عَدَدِهِمْ وَمَدَدِهِمْ وَأَنْصَارِهِمْ عَلَى الحَقّ فِي السّرّ وَالعَلانِيَةِ.

allahumma aj`alna min `adadihim wa madadihim wa ansarihim `ala alhaqqi fe alssirri wal-`alaniyati

O Allah: (please do) include us with their troop, their aides, and their supporters on confirming the truth secretly and openly.

اللّهُمّ اطْلُبْ بِذَحْلِهِمْ وَوِتْرِهِمْ وَدِمَائِهِمْ،

allahumma atlub bidhahlihim wa witrihim wa dima’ihim

O Allah: (please do) retaliate upon those who wronged and slew them, and those who shed their blood.

وَكُفّ عَنَّا وَعَنْهُمْ وَعَنْ كُلّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ

wa kuffa `anna wa `anhum wa `an kulli mu´minin wa mu´minatin

And (please) save us, them, and every believing man and women

بَأْسَ كُلّ بَاغٍ وَطَاغٍ

ba’sa kulli baghin wa taghin

The evil of all tyrants and transgressors,

وَكُلّ دَابّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

wa kulli dabbatin anta akhidhun binasiyatiha

And every living creature that You hold it by its forelock.

إنّكَ أَشَدّ بَأْساً وَأَشَدّ تَنْكِيلاً.

innaka ashaddu ba’san wa ashadd tankelan

Verily, You are the strongest in prowess and the strongest to give an exemplary punishment.

يَا عُدّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي،

ya `uddaty fe kurbate

O my means in troubles:

وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدّتِي،

wa ya sahiby fe shiddate

O my Companion in hardships:

وَيَا وَلِيّي فِي نِعْمَتِي،

wa ya waliyyiy fe ni`mate

O the Provider of my amenities;

وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي،

wa ya ghaiyaty fe raghbate

O the utmost of my desires.

أَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي،

anta alssatiru `awrate

It is You Who conceals my defects,

وَالْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِي،

wal-mu´minu raw`ate

Who relieves my apprehensions,

وَالْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي،

wal-muqelu `athrate

and Who overlooks my slips;

فَاغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي.

faghfir le khate’ate

so, (please do) forgive my sin.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

ya arhama alrrahimena

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ لِهَمّ لا يُفَرّجُهُ غَيْرُكَ،

allahumma inne ad`uka lihammin la yufarrijuhu ghayruka

O Allah: I beseech You about a grief that none can relieve save You,

وَلِرَحْمَةٍ لا تُنَالُ إلاَّ بِكَ،

wa lirahmatin la tunalu illa bika

And for mercy that cannot be attained except through You,

وَلِكَرْبٍ لا يَكْشِفُهُ إلاَّ أَنْتَ،

wa likarbin la yakshifuhu illa anta

And about hardship from which none can rescue except You

وَلِرَغْبَةٍ لا تُبْلَغُ إلاَّ بِكَ،

wa liraghbatin la tublaghu illa bika

And for desire that cannot be obtained except by You

وَلِحَاجَةٍ لا يَقْضِيهَا إلاَّ أَنْتَ.

wa lihajatin la yaqdheha illa anta

And for a need that none can settle save You.

اللّهُمّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ مَا أَذِنْتَ لِي بِهِ مِنْ مَسْأَلَتِكَ،

allahumma fakama kana min sha’nika ma adhinta le bihi min mas’alatika

O Allah: As You have decided to allow me to pray You,

وَرَحِمْتَنِي بِهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ

wa rahimtany bihi min dhikrika

And as You have had mercy upon me through allowing me to refer to You,

فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ سَيّدِي الإجَابَةُ لِي فِيمَا دَعَوْتُكَ،

falyakun min shanika sayyidy alijabatu le fema da`awtuka

So, please my Master, decide that my prayers are responded by You,

وَعَوَائِدُ الإفْضَالِ فِيمَا رَجَوْتُكَ،

wa `awa’idu alifdhali fema rajawtuka

And confer upon me the favors for which I have hoped You,

وَالنّجَاةُ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ إلَيْكَ فِيهِ،

wal-nnajatu mimma fazi`tu ilayka fehi

And grant me redemption from that against which I have resorted to You.

فَإنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ أَهْلاً أَنْ أَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ

fa’in lam akun ahlan an ablugha rahmataka

But if I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,

فَإنّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَبْلُغَنِي وَتَسَعَنِي،

fa’inna rahmataka ahlun an tablughany wa tasa`ane

Then, Your mercy is too wide to avoid including and covering me.

وَإنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِلإجَابَةِ أَهْلاً

wa in lam akun lilijabati ahlan

And if I do not deserve Your response,

فَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الفَضْلِ،

fa’anta ahlu alfadhli

Then, You are the worthiest of granting favors,

وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَسِعَتْ كُلّ شَيْءٍ،

wa rahmatuka wa si`at kull shay‘in

And Your mercy has covered all things,

فَلْتَسَعْنِي رَحْمَتُكَ يَا إلهِي

faltasa`ny rahmatuka ya ilahy

So, let Your mercy include me, O my God.

يَا كَرِيمُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الكَرِيمِ

ya karemu as’aluka biwajhika alkaremi

O the All-generous: I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face,

أَنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ،

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi

That You bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَأَنْ تُفَرّجَ هَمّي،

wa an tufarrija hamme

And that You relieve my grief,

وَتَكْشِفَ كَرْبِي وَغَمّي،

wa takshifa karby wa ghamme

And release me from my hardship and agony,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ،

wa tarhamany birahmatika

And have mercy upon me out of Your mercy,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ،

wa tarzuqany min fadhlika

And confer on me with Your favor.

إنّكَ سَمِيعُ الدّعَاءِ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ.

innaka same`u alddu`a‘i qarebun mujebun

You are verily the Hearer of prayers, the Nigh, and the Responding.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِهِ

allahumma inne as’aluka min fadhlika bi-afdhalihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors;

وَكُلّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ،

wa kullu fadhlika fadhilun

and all Your favors are excellent.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلّهِ.

allahumma inne as’aluka bifadhlika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِأَعَمّهِ

allahumma inne as’aluka min rizqika bi-a`ammhi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance;

وَكُلّ رِزْقِكَ عَامّ،

wa kullu rizqika `ammun

and all Your sustenance is widespread.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلّهِ.

allahumma inne as’aluka birizqika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِأَهْنَئِهِ

allahumma inne as’aluka min `ata’ika bi-ahna’ihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal;

وَكُلّ عَطَائِكَ هَنِيءٌ،

wa kullu `ata’ika hane‘

and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَطَائِكَ كُلّهِ.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`ata’ika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِأَعْجَلِهِ

allahumma inne as’aluka min khayrika bi-a`jalihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare;

وَكُلّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ،

wa kullu khayrika `ajilun

and Your entire welfare is instant.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلّهِ.

allahumma inne as’aluka bikhayrika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ إحْسَانِكَ بِأَحْسَنِهِ

allahumma inne as’aluka min ihsanika bi-ahsanihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence;

وَكُلّ إحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ،

wa kullu ihsanika hasanun

and Your entire benevolence is excellent.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِإحْسَانِكَ كُلّهِ.

allahumma inne as’aluka biihsanika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ،

allahumma inne as’aluka bima tujebuny bihi hena as’aluka

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ،

fajibny ya allahu

therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.

وَصَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ عَبْدِكَ المُرْتَضَى،

wa salli `ala muhammadin `abdika almurtadha

And (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad, Your pleased servant,

وَرَسُولِكَ المُصْطَفَى،

wa rasulika almustafa

Your chosen Messenger,

وَأَمِينِكَ وَنَجِيّكَ دُونَ خَلْقِكَ،

wa amenika wa najiyyika duna khalqika

Your trustee, Your confidant one among all Your beings,

وَنَجِيبِكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ،

wa najebika min `ibadika

Your selected one among all Your servants,

وَنَبِيّكَ بِالصّدْقِ وَحَبِيبِكَ،

wa nabiyyika bilssidqi wa habebika

Your true Prophet, and Your much-loved one.

وَصَلّ عَلَى رَسُولِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنَ العَالَمِينَ

wa salli `ala rasulika wa khiyaratika mina al`alamena

And (please do) send blessings upon (him) Your messenger, Your choicest among all people,

البَشِيرِ النّذِيرِ،

albasheri alnnadheri

the conveyor of good tidings (for the believers), the warner ,

السّرَاجِ المُنِيرِ،

alssiraji almuneri

and the luminous lantern;

وَعَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الأَبْرَارِ الطَّاهِرِينَ،

wa `ala ahli baytihi alabrari alttahirena

and (please do send blessings) upon his Household, the pious and the immaculate;

وَعَلَى مَلائِكَتِكَ الّذِينَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ،

wa `ala mala’ikatika alladhena astakhlastahum linafsika wa hajabtahum `an khalqika

and upon Your angels whom You have attached to Your Person and concealed against Your beings;

وَعَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ الّذِينَ يُنْبِئُونَ عَنْكَ بِالصّدْقِ،

wa `ala anbiya’ika alladhena yunbi’una `anka bilssidqi

and upon Your Prophets who convey Your instructions truly;

وَعَلَى رُسُلِكَ الّذِينَ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ

wa `ala rusulika alladhena khasastahum biwahyika

and upon Your Messengers whom You have given exclusively Your Revelations

وَفَضّلْتَهُمْ عَلَى العَالَمِينَ بِرِسَالاتِكَ،

wa fadhdhaltahum `ala al`alamena birisalatika

and You have made excel the others by means of Your messages;

وَعَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

wa `ala `ibadika alssalihena

and upon Your righteous servants

الّذِينَ أَدْخَلْتَهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ

alladhena adkhaltahum fe rahmatika

whom You have included with Your mercy,

الأَئِمّةِ المُهْتَدِينَ الرَّاشِدِينَ وَأَوْلِيَائِكَ المُطَهّرِينَ،

al-a’immati almuhtadena alrrashidena wa awliya’ika almutahharena

the guides, the well-guided, the orthodox, and Your pure saints;

وَعَلَى جَبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإسْرَافِيلَ وَمَلَكِ المَوْتِ،

wa `ala jabra’ela wa meka’ela wa israfela wa malaki almawti

and upon (Archangels) Gabriel, Michael, Israfel, and the Angel of Death;

وَعَلَى رِضْوَانَ خَازِنِ الجِنَانِ،

wa `ala ridhwana khazini aljinani

and upon Ridhwan the Keeper of Paradise;

وَعَلَى مَالِكٍ خَازِنِ النَّارِ،

wa `ala malikin khazini alnnari

and upon Malik the Keeper of Hell,

وَرُوحِ القُدُسِ،

wa ruhi alqudusi

and the Holy Spirit,

وَالرّوحِ الأَمِينِ،

wal-rruhi alameni

the Spirit of Faith,

وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِكَ المُقَرّبِينَ،

wa hamalati `arshika almuqarrbena

and the Favorite Bearers of Your Throne;

وَعَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ الحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيّ

wa `ala almalakayni alhafizayni `alayya

and upon the two angels who watch over me—

بِالصّلاةِ الّتِي تُحِبّ أَنْ يُصَلّيَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَهْلُ السّمَاوَاتِ وَأَهْلُ الأَرَضِينَ،

bilsslati allaty tuhibb an yusalliya biha `alayhim ahlu alssamawati wa ahlu alaradhena

blessings that You desire that the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth pray You to send upon them;

صَلاةً طَيّبَةً كَثِيرَةً

salatan tayyibatan katheratan

blessings that are pure, abundant,

مُبَارَكَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً ظَاهِرَةً

mubarakatan zakiyatan namiyatan zahiratan

holy, genuine, growing, evident,

بَاطِنَةً شَرِيفَةً فَاضِلَةً

batinatan sharefatan fadhilatan

deep, honorable, and virtuous

تُبَيّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَى الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ.

tubayyinu biha fadhlahum `ala al-awwalena wal-akhirena

through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.

اللّهُمّ أَعْطِ مُحَمّداً الوَسِيلَةَ وَالشّرَفَ وَالفَضِيلَةَ

allahumma a`ti muhammadan alwaselata wal-shsharafa wal-fadhelata

O Allah: (please do) give Muhammad subtle way, honor, and precedence

وَاجْزِهِ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ نَبِيّاً عَنْ أُمّتِهِ.

wajzihi khayra ma jazayta nabiyyan `an ‘ummatihi

and reward him with the best reward that You ever give to a Prophet on behalf of his nation.

اللّهُمّ وَأَعْطِ مُحَمّداً صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ مَعَ كُلّ زُلْفَةٍ زُلْفَةً،

allahumma wa a`ti muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi ma`a kulli zulfatin zulfatan

O Allah: (please do) give Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Family—an additional proximity with each proximity that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ وَسِيلَةٍ وَسِيلَةً،

wa ma`a kulli waselatin waselatan

and an additional subtle means with each means that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ فَضِيلَةٍ فَضِيلَةً،

wa ma`a kulli fadhelatin fadhelatan

and an additional merit with each merit that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ شَرَفٍ شَرَفاً

wa ma`a kulli sharafin sharafan

and an additional honor with each honor that You decide for him;

تُعْطِي مُحَمّداً وَآلَهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ أَفْضَلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ أَحَداً مِنَ الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ.

tu`ty muhammadan wa alahu yawma alqiyamati afdhala ma a`tayta ahadan mina al-awwalena wal-akhirena

and (please do) give Muhammad and his Household, on the Resurrection Day, the best of all that which You have given to any of Your creatures from the past and the coming generations.

اللّهُمّ وَاجْعَلْ مُحَمّداً صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَدْنَى المُرْسَلِينَ مِنْكَ مَجْلِساً،

allahumma waj`al muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi adna almursalena minka majlisan

O Allah: (please do) choose for Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Family—the nearest position to You;

وَأَفْسَحَهُمْ فِي الجَنّةِ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلاً،

wa afsahahum fe aljannati `indaka manzilan

and the most expansive abode in Paradise in Your vicinity;

وَأَقْرَبَهُمْ إلَيْكَ وَسِيلَةً،

wa aqrabahum ilayka waselatan

and the most effective means to You.

وَاجْعَلْهُ أَوّلَ شَافِعٍ،

waj`alhu awwala shafi`in

And (please do) make him the chief interceder,

وَأَوّلَ مُشَفّعٍ،

wa awwala mushaff`in

the chief mediator,

وَأَوّلَ قَائِلٍ،

wa awwala qa’ilin

the first speaker,

وَأَنْجَحَ سَائِلٍ،

wa anjaha sa’ilin

the most successful petitioner.

وَابْعَثْهُ المَقَامَ المَحْمُودَ الّذِي يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الأَوّلُونَ وَالآخِرُونَ

wab`athhu almaqama almahmuda alladhy yaghbituhu bihi alawuluna wal-akhiruna

And (please do) send him the Praiseworthy Standing due to which all the past and coming generations will envy him;

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ،

ya arhama alrrahimena

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

wa as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

And I do beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِي،

wa an tasma`a sawte

to hear my voice;

وَتُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي،

wa tujeba da`wate

to respond to my plea,

وَتَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي،

wa tatajawaza `an khate’ate

to overlook my sins,

وَتَصْفَحَ عَنْ ظُلْمِي،

wa tasfaha `an zulme

to excuse my wrongdoings,

وَتُنْجِحَ طَلِبَتِي،

wa tunjiha talibate

to give success to my prayer,

وَتَقْضِيَ حَاجَتِي،

wa taqdhiya hajate

to settle my needs,

وَتُنْجِزَ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِي،

wa tunjiza le ma wa`adtane

to fulfill Your promise to me,

وَتُقِيلَ عَثْرَتِي،

wa tuqela `athrate

to let off my offense,

وَتَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبِي،

wa taghfira dhunube

to forgive my sins,

وَتَعْفُوَ عَنْ جُرْمِي،

wa ta`fwa `an jurme

to pardon my evildoings,

وَتُقْبِلَ عَلَيّ وَلا تُعْرِضَ عَنّي،

wa tuqbila `alayya wa la tu`ridha `anne

to accept me and not to reject me,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَلا تُعَذّبَنِي،

wa tarhamany wa la tu`adhdhibane

to have mercy upon me and not to punish me,

وَتُعَافِيَنِي وَلا تَبْتَلِيَنِي،

wa tu`afiyany wa la tabtaliyane

to grant me good health and not to afflict me,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنَ الرّزْقِ أَطْيَبَهُ وَأَوْسَعَهُ وَلا تَحْرِمَنِي،

wa tarzuqany mina alrrzqi atiyabahu wa awsa`ahu wa la tahrimane

to grant me from the nicest and most extensive sustenance and not to deprive me (of Your sustenance).

يَارَبّ وَاقْضِ عَنّي دَيْنِي،

ya rabbi waqdhi `anne dayne

O my Lord: (please do) help me settle my debts;

وَضَعْ عَنّي وِزْرِي،

wa dha` `anne wizre

and relieve me of my burdens;

وَلا تُحَمّلْنِي مَا لا طَاقَةَ لِي بِهِ،

wa la tuhammilny ma la taqata le bihi

and do not impose on me that which I have not the strength to bear.

يَا مَوْلايَ وَأَدْخِلْنِي فِي كُلّ خَيْرٍ أَدْخَلْتَ فِيهِ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ،

ya mawlaya wa adkhilny fe kull khayrin adkhalta fehi muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

O my Master: and (please do) include me with every good item that You have chosen from Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنْ كُلّ سُوءٍ أَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ،

wa akhrijny min kulli su‘in akhrajta minhu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin salawatuka `alayhi wa `alayhim

and take me out of any evil from which You have saved Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad—Your blessings be upon him and them.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.

wa alssalamu `alayhi wa `alayhim wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Peace, Allah’s mercy, and blessings be upon him and them.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ قَلِيلاً مِنْ كَثِيرٍ

allahumma inne as’aluka qalelan min katherin

O Allah, I ask You for a little from the very much,

مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِي إلَيْهِ عَظِيمَةٍ،

ma`a hajatin by ilayhi `azematin

in the midst of my many needs for which I entirely depend on You,

وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيمٌ،

wa ghinaka `anhu qademun

and You, since eternity, are able to do without them,

وَهُوَ عِنْدِي كَثِيرٌ،

wa huwa `indy katherun

but for me it is titanic

وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيرٌ،

wa huwa `alayka sahlun yaserun

and for You it is very easy and simple.

فَامْنُنْ عَلَيّ بِهِ إنّكَ عَلَى كُلّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ،

famnun `alayya bihi innaka `ala kulli shay‘in qaderun

So, (please do) bestow upon me with them, for You have power over all things.

آمِينَ رَبّ العَالَمِينَ.

amena rabbal-`alamen

Respond to me, O the Lord of the worlds.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your brilliance that beautifies,

allahumma inne as’aluka min baha’ika bi-abhahu

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ بَهَائِكَ بِأَبْهَاهُ

and all Your glories are radiantly brilliant,

wa kullu baha’ika bahiyy

وَكُلّ بَهَائِكَ بَهِيّ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your glories.

allahumma inne as’aluka bibaha’ika kullhi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِبَهَائِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your majesty that gives grandeur,

allahumma inne as’aluka min jalalika bi-ajallhi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَلالِكَ بِأَجَلّهِ

and all Your majestic powers are strongly sublime;

wa kullu jalalika jalelun

وَكُلّ جَلالِكَ جَلِيلٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your powers.

allahumma inne as’aluka bijalalika kullhi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلالِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your refined good that makes more handsome,

allahumma inne as’aluka min jamalika bi-ajmalihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَمَالِكَ بِأَجْمَلِهِ

and all Your refinements are gracefully beautiful;

wa kullu jamalika jamelun

وَكُلّ جَمَالِكَ جَمِيلٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your beauties.

allahumma inne as’aluka bijamalika kullhi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَمَالِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your greatness that makes great,

allahumma inne as’aluka min `azamatika bi-a`zamiha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَظَمَتِكَ بِأَعْظَمِهَا

and all Your powers are extensively important;

wa kullu `azamatika `azematun

وَكُلّ عَظَمَتِكَ عَظِيمَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your influences.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`azamatika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَظَمَتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah I beseech You to give me from Your light that enlightens,

allahumma inne as’aluka min nurika bi-anwarihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ نُورِكَ بِأَنْوَرِهِ

and all Your enlightenments are luminously bright;

wa kullu nurika nayyrun

وَكُلّ نُورِكَ نَيّرٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your lights.

allahumma inne as’aluka binurika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِنُورِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your mercy that gives much,

allahumma inne as’aluka min rahmatika bi-awsa`iha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ بِأَوْسَعِهَا

and all Your kind leniencies are plenteously many,

wa kullu rahmatika wasi`atun

وَكُلّ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاسِعَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your compassions.

allahumma inne as’aluka birahmatika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your perfection that brings to fullness,

allahumma inne as’aluka min kamalika bi-akmalihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَمَالِكَ بِأَكْمَلِهِ

and all Your perfections are total and whole,

wa kullu kamalika kamilun

وَكُلّ كَمَالِكَ كَامِلٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your perfections.

allahumma inne as’aluka bikamalika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَمَالِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Words that elaborate and conclude;

allahumma inne as’aluka min kalimatika bi-atammha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَلِمَاتِكَ بِأَتَمّهَا

and all Your words are complete and perfect;

wa kullu kalimatika tammatun

وَكُلّ كَلِمَاتِكَ تَامّةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Words.

allahumma inne as’aluka bikalimatika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Names that make great,

allahumma inne as’aluka min asma’ika bi-akbariha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ بِأَكْبَرِهَا

and all Your Names are important;

wa kullu asma’ika kaberatun

وَكُلّ أَسْمَائِكَ كَبِيرَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Names:

allahumma inne as’aluka biasma’ika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I beseech You to give me from Your authority that surpasses in honor and power,

allahumma inne as’aluka min `izztika bi-a`azza

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِزّتِكَ بِأَعَزّهَا

and all Your authorities are rare and supreme,

wa kullu `izzatika `azezatun

وَكُلّ عِزّتِكَ عَزِيزَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your authorities.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`izzatika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزّتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Will that (simultaneously) takes effect,

allahumma inne as’aluka min mashe-atika bi-amdhaha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَشِيئَتِكَ بِأَمْضَاهَا

and all Your wills are (at once) executed;

wa kullu masheiatika madhiyatun

وَكُلّ مَشِيئَتِكَ مَاضِيَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your wills.

allahumma inne as’aluka bimashe-atika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَشِيئَتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your that omnipotence which controls everything,

allahumma inne as’aluka min qudratika bilqudrati allaty astatalta biha `ala kulli shay‘in

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الّتِي اسْتَطَلْتَ بِهَا عَلَى كُلّ شَيْءٍ

and at all events Your omnipotence dominates.

wa kullu qudratika mustatelatun

وَكُلّ قُدْرَتِكَ مُسْتَطِيلَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your all-embracing omnipotence.

allahumma inne as’aluka biqudratika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Wisdom that pierces through and enforces,

allahumma inne as’aluka min `ilmika bi-anfadhihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِلْمِكَ بِأَنْفَذِهِ

and Your Wisdom is altogether effective,

wa kullu `ilmika nafidhun

وَكُلّ عِلْمِكَ نَافِذٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your Wisdom.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`ilmika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your promise which always is fulfilled,

allahumma inne as’aluka min qawlika bi-ardhahu

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قَوْلِكَ بِأَرْضَاهُ

and all Your promises are kept and fulfilled,

wa kullu qawlika radhiyyun

وَكُلّ قَوْلِكَ رَضِيّ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your promises.

allahumma inne as’aluka biqawlika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقَوْلِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Channels which are most dear to You,

allahumma inne as’aluka min masa’ilika bi-ahabbha ilayka

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِأَحَبّهَا إلَيْكَ

and all that which is dear to You is most desirable,

wa kullu masa’ilika ilayka habebatun

وَكُلّ مَسَائِلِكَ إلَيْكَ حَبِيبَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Channels.

allahumma inne as’aluka bimasa’ilika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ كُلّهَا،

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your distinctions that vie in glory,

allahumma inne as’aluka min sharafika bi-ashrafihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ شَرَفِكَ بِأَشْرَفِهِ

and all Your distinctions are noble;

wa kullu sharafika sharefun

وَكُلّ شَرَفِكَ شَرِيفٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your distinctions.

allahumma inne as’aluka bisharafika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَرَفِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your sovereignty which lasts and continues forever,

allahumma inne as’aluka min sultanika bi-adwamihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ بِأَدْوَمِهِ

and for all times Your sovereignty is everlasting;

wa kullu sultanika da’imun

وَكُلّ سُلْطَانِكَ دَائِمٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your absolute sovereignty.

allahumma inne as’aluka bisultanika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your kingdom that surpasses in glory and nobility,

allahumma inne as’aluka min mulkika bi-afkharihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مُلْكِكَ بِأَفْخَرِهِ

and in reality Your kingdom alone is the most celebrated and magnificent;

wa kullu mulkika fakhirun

وَكُلّ مُلْكِكَ فَاخِرٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your unlimited kingdom.

allahumma inne as’aluka bimulkika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمُلْكِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your highest height that exalts,

allahumma inne as’aluka min `ala’ika bi-a`lahu

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَلاءِكَ بِأَعْلاهُ

and Your eminence is altogether sublime;

wa kullu `ala’ika `alin

وَكُلّ عَلاءِكَ عَالٍ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your highest sublimeness.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`ala’ika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَلاءِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your bounties which always move ahead, come in advance,

allahumma inne as’aluka min mannka bi-aqdamihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَنّكَ بِأَقْدَمِهِ

and all Your bounties are eternal,

wa kullu mannka qademun

وَكُلّ مَنّكَ قَدِيمٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your bounties.

allahumma inne as’aluka bimannka kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَنّكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your signs; the most wonderful of them,

allahumma inne as’aluka min ayatika bi-a`jabiha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ آيَاتِكَ بِأَعْجَبِهَا

and all Your signs are wonderful;

wa kullu ayatika `ajebatun

وَكُلّ آيَاتِكَ عَجيبَةٌ،

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your signs,

allahumma inne as’aluka bi-ayatika kulliha

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بآيَاتِكَ كُلّهَا.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

allahumma inne ad`uka kama amartany fastajib le kama wa`adtane

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي.

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors;

allahumma inne as’aluka min fadhlika bi-afdhalihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِهِ

and all Your favors are excellent.

wa kullu fadhlika fadhilun

وَكُلّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.

allahumma inne as’aluka bifadhlika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance;

allahumma inne as’aluka min rizqika bi-a`ammhi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِأَعَمّهِ

and all Your sustenance is widespread.

wa kullu rizqika `ammun

وَكُلّ رِزْقِكَ عَامّ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.

allahumma inne as’aluka birizqika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal;

allahumma inne as’aluka min `ata’ika bi-ahna’ihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِأَهْنَئِهِ

and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.

wa kullu `ata’ika hane‘

وَكُلّ عَطَائِكَ هَنِيءٌ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.

allahumma inne as’aluka bi`ata’ika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَطَائِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare;

allahumma inne as’aluka min khayrika bi-a`jalihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِأَعْجَلِهِ

and Your entire welfare is instant.

wa kullu khayrika `ajilun

وَكُلّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.

allahumma inne as’aluka bikhayrika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence;

allahumma inne as’aluka min ihsanika bi-ahsanihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ إحْسَانِكَ بِأَحْسَنِهِ

and Your entire benevolence is excellent.

wa kullu ihsanika hasanun

وَكُلّ إحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.

allahumma inne as’aluka biihsanika kullihi

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِإحْسَانِكَ كُلّهِ.

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

allahumma inne as’aluka bima tujebuny bihi hena as’aluka

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ،

therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.

fajibny ya allahu

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ،

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

allahumma inne as’aluka bima tujebuny bihi hena as’aluka

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ،

Yes, I have besought You, O Allah.

na`am da`awtuka ya allahu

نَعَمْ دَعَوتُكَ يا اَللهُ،

O Allah: (I beseech You) in the name of all authorities and powers that You enjoy.

allahumma bima anta fehi mina alshshu’uni wal-jabaruti

اللّهُمّ بِمَا أَنْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الشُّؤونِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all of Your authorities and powers.

allahumma inne as’aluka bisha’nika wa jabarutika kulliha

اَللَّهُمَّ إنّي أسْألُكَ بِشَأنِكَ وَجَبَروتِكَ كُلِّها

O Allah: I ask You to give me whereby You gives answer to my supplication whenever I turn to You,

allahumma inne as’aluka bima tujebuny bihi hena as’aluka bih

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِهِ

So, (please) respond to me, O Allah.

fa-ajibny ya allahu

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ

Send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

O Allah: send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

وَابْعَثْني عَلَى الاِيمَانِ بِكَ،

Wab`athne `ala al’emani bika

and resurrect me abiding by the believing in You,

وَالتّصْدِيقِ بِرَسُولِكَ،

wal-ttasdeqi birasulika

giving credence to Your Messenger,

وَالوِلايَةِ لِعَلِيّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِما السَّلامُ،

wal-wilayati li`aliyyi bni aby talibin `alayhima alssalamu

being faithful to `Ale ibn Abu-Talib—peace be upon both of them;

وَالإئْتِمامِ بِالأئِمَّةِ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wal-i’timami bil-a’immati min ali muhammadin

being following the (Divinely commissioned) leadership of the Imams from the Household of Muhammad

وَالبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ عَدُوّهِمْ،

wal-bara‘ati min `aduwwihim

And disavowing their enemy.

فَإِنّي قَدْ رَضِيتُ يَا رَبّي بِذلِكَ،

fa’inne qad radhetu ya rabby bidhlika

My Lord, I have accepted such.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

O Allah: send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

وَأسْألُكَ خَيْرَ الخَيْرِ: رِضْوانَكَ وَالجَنَّةَ،

wa as’aluka khayral-khayri ridhwanaka wal-jannata

And I beseech You for the best of the goodness: Your pleasure and Paradise;

وَأعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّرِّ: سَخَطِكَ وَالنّارِ.

wa a`udhu bika min sharri alshsharri sakhatika wannari

And I seek Your protection against the most evil of the evil: Your wrath and Hellfire.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ،

allahumma salli `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin ,

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

وَاحْفَظْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ مُصِيبَةٍ وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ،

wahfazhniy min kulli musiebatin wakulli baliyyatin,

And safeguard me against all misfortunes and all ordeals

وَمِنْ كُلِّ عُقوبَةٍ،

wamin kulli `uqubatin,

And all punishments

وَمِنْ كُلِّ فِتْنَةٍ،

wamin kulli fitnatin,

And all seditious matters

وَمِنْ كُلِّ بَلاءٍ،

wamin kulli bala‘in,

And all trials

وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ،

wamin kulli sharrin,

And all evils

وَمِنْ كُلِّ مَكْروهٍ،

wamin kulli makruhin,

And all tribulations

وَمِنْ كُلِّ مُصِيبَةٍ،

wamin kulli musiebatin,

And all misfortunes

وَمِنْ كُلِّ آفَةٍ،

wamin kulli afatin,

And all catastrophes

نَزَلَتْ أو تَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ إلى الأرْضِ في هذِهِ السّاعَةِ،

nazalat aw tanzilu mina alssama‘i ile alardhi fy hdhihi alssa`ati,

That have already or will ascend from the heavens to the earth at this very hour,

وَفي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ،

wafy hdhihi alllaylati,

And at this night

وَفي هذا اليَوْمِ،

wafy hdha aleawmi,

And on this day

وَفي هذا الشَّهْرِ،

wafy hdha alshshahri,

And in this month

وَفي هذِهِ السَّنَةِ.

wafy hdhihi alssanati.

And in this year.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ،

allahumma sall `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin,

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

وَاقْسِمْ لي مِنْ كُلِّ سُرورٍ،

waqsim ly min kulli sururin,

And decide for me a portion from all pleasant things,

وَمِنْ كُلِّ بَهْجَةٍ،

wamin kulli bahjatin,

And all joys

وَمِنْ كُلِّ اسْتِقامَةٍ،

wamin kulli astiqamatin,

And all straightness

وَمِنْ كُلِّ فَرَجٍ،

wamin kulli farajin,

And all relief

وَمِنْ كُلِّ عافِيَةٍ،

wamin kulli `afiyatin,

And all well-being

وَمِنْ كُلِّ سَلامَةٍ،

wamin kulli salamatin,

And all safety

وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرامَةٍ،

wamin kulli karamatin,

And all honor

وَمِنْ كُلِّ رِزْقٍ واسِعٍ حَلالٍ طَيِّبٍ،

wamin kulli rizqin wasi`in halalin tayyibin,

And all items of sustenance that is expansive, legally gotten, and pleasant

وَمِنْ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ،

wamin kulli ni`matin,

And all graces

وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ،

wamin kulli hasanatin,

And all advantageous things

نَزَلَتْ أو تَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ إلى الأرْضِ في هذِهِ السّاعَةِ

nazalat aw tanzilu mina alssama‘i ile alardhi fy hdhihi alssa`ati

That have already or will ascend from the heavens to the earth at this very hour,

وَفي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ،

wafy hdhihi alllaylati,

And at this night

وَفي هذا اليَوْمِ،

wafy hdha aleawmi,

And on this day

وَفي هذا الشَّهْرِ،

wafy hdha alshshahri,

And in this month

وَفي هذِهِ السَّنَةِ.

wafy hdhihi alssanati.

And in this year.

اَللّهُمَّ إنْ كانَتْ ذُنوبي قَدْ أخْلَقَتْ وَجْهِيَ عِنْدَكَ،

aalllhumma in kanat dhunuby qad akhlaqat wajhiea `indaka,

O Allah: If my sins have deformed my face in Your view

وَحالَتْ بَيني وَبَيْنَكَ،

wahalat bayny wabaynaka,

And have thus cut the path taking me to You

أوْ غَيَّرَتْ حالي عِنْدَكَ،

aw ghayyarat haly `indaka,

And have changed my status with You,

فَإنّي أسْألُكَ بِنورِ وَجْهِكَ الكَريمِ الَّذي لَمْ يُطْفَأ،

fainny asaluka binuri wajhika alkaremi alladhy lam yutfa’,

Then, I beseech You in the name of the Light of Your Magnanimous Face that is never extinguished,

وَبِوَجْهِ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفى،

wabiuajhi habiebika muhammadin almustafe,

And in the name of the face of Your Chosen Prophet, Muhammad,

وَبِوَجْهِ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضى،

wabiuajhi walieeika `alieein almurtadhe,

And in the name of the face of Your well-pleased servant, `Ale,

وَبِحَقِّ أوْلِيائِكَ الَّذينَ انْتَجَبْتَهُمْ،

wabihaqqi awliya’ika alladhena antajabtahum,

And in the name of Your intimate servants that You have selected,

أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

an tusalliea `ale muhammadin wali muhammadin,

(I beseech You) that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأنْ تَغْفِرَ لي وَلِوالِدَيَّ وَما وَلَدا،

Wa’an taghfira ly waliualidayya wama walada,

And forgive for me, for my parents, and for all their offspring

وَلِلمُؤْمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِناتِ،

walilmuu´minena walmuu´minati,

And forgive for the believing men and women

وَما تَوالَدوا،

wama tawaladua,

And for all their offspring

ذُنوبَنا كُلَّهَا،

dhunubana kullaha,

All our sins,

صَغيرَها وَكَبيرَها،

sagheraha wakaberaha,

Including the insignificant and the major,

وَأنْ تَخْتِمَ لَنا بِالصّالِحاتِ،

wa'an takhtima lana bialssalihati,

And that You seal our lives with righteous deeds,

وَأنْ تَقْضِيَ لَنا الحَاجاتِ وَالمُهِمّاتِ،

wa'an taqdhiea lana alhajati walmuhimmati,

And that You settle our needs and important desires,

وَصالِحَ الدُّعاءِ وَالمَسْأَلَةِ،

wasaliha alddu`a‘i walmas’alati,

And that You respond to us our well-intended prayers and requests;

فَاسْتَجِبْ لَنا،

fastajib lana,

So, (please), respond to us,

بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ.

bihaqqi muhammadin walihi.

In the name of Muhammad and his Household.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ،

allahumma sall `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin ,

O Allah: (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

آمينَ آمينَ آمينَ،

amena amena amena,

(please) respond; (please) respond; (please) respond;

ما شاءَ اللهُ كانَ،

ma sha‘a allhu kana,

Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass.

لا حَولَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إلاّ باللهِ،

la hawla wala quwwata illa ballahi,

There is no power and no might except with Allah.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ،

subhana rabbika rabbi al`izzati `amma yasifuwna,

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.

وَسَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ.

wasalamun `ala almursaliena

And peace be on the messengers.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.

walhamdu lillahi rabbi al`alamiena.

And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

يَا لا إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ

ya la ilaha illa anta

O He but Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَظيمٌ،

asaluka bihaqqi man haqquhu `alayka `azhemun,

I beseech You in the name of those whose names enjoy a great regard with You

بِلا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ،

bila ilaha illa anta,

And in the name of there is no god save You

أسْألُكَ بِبَهاءِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ،

asaluka bibaha‘i la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the luminosity of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِجَلالِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ،

asaluka bijalali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the majesty of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِجَمالِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ.

asaluka bijamali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta.

I beseech You in the name of the splendor of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِنورِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ،

asaluka binuri la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the light of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِكَمالِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ،

asaluka bikamali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the excellency of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِعِزَّةِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka bi`izzati la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the honor of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِعِظَمِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka bi`izhami la ilha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the grandeur of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِقَولِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka biqawli la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the saying of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِشَرَفِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka bisharafi la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the dignity of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِعَلاءِ لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka bi`ala‘i la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the elevation of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أسْألُكَ بِلا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إلاّ أنْتَ

asaluka bila ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

يا رَبّاهُ يا رَبّاهُ يا رَبّاهُ…

ya rabbahu ya rabbahu ya rabbahu…

O my Lord; O my Lord; O my Lord

أسألك يا سيدي

as'aluka ya sayyide

I beseech You; O my Master:

يَا اَللهُ يا رَبّاهُ

ya allahu ya rabbahu

O Allah; O my Lord:

يا سَيِّداهُ يا مَولاهُ يا غِياثاهُ يا مَلْجَآهُ،

ya sayyidahu ya mawlahu ya ghiyathahu ya malja-ahu

O my Master; O my Lord: O my Aide; O my Shelter;

يا مُنتَهى غايَةِ رَغْبَتاهُ،

ya muntaha ghayati raghbatahu

O the Ultimate goal of my all desires;

يا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ،

ya arhama alrrahimena

O the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy;

أسْألُكَ فَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ،

as'aluka falaysa kamithlika shay’un

I beseech You, for nothing is like You

وَأسْألُكَ بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ مُسْتَجابَةٍ دَعاكَ بِها نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ أوْ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ،

wa as’aluka bikulli da`watin mustajabatin da`aka biha nabiyyun mursalun aw malakun muqarrabun

And I beseech You with every responded prayer that has been addressed to You by a missioned Prophet or a favorite angel

أوْ عَبْدٌ مُؤمِنٌ امْتَحَنْتَ قَلْبَهُ لِلإيمانِ،

aw `abdun mu’minun imtahanta qalbahu lil-emani

Or a faithful servant (of You) whose heart has been tried by You to carry faith

وَاسْتَجَبْتَ دَعْوَتَهُ مِنْهُ،

wastajabta da`watahu minhu

And then You responded to his prayer.

وَأتَوَجَّهُ إلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ،

wa atawajjahu ilayka bimuhammadin nabiyyika nabiyyi alrrahmati

I turn my face towards You asking You in the name of Your Prophet, Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy

وَأُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي.

wa uqaddimuhu bayna yaday haw’ije

And I seek his intercession before You for the sake of Your settlement of my need

يا مُحَمَّدُ يا رَسولَ اللهِ،

ya muhammadu ya rasulal-llahi

O Muhammad: O the Messenger of Allah;

بِأبي أنْتَ وَاُمِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إلى رَبِّكَ وَرَبّي،

bi-abe anta wa-umme atawajjahu bika ila rabbika wa rabbe

May Allah accept my father and mother as ransoms for you! In your name do I turn my and your Lord;

وَأُقَدِّمُكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي،

wa uqaddimuka bayna yaday haw’ije

And I seek your intercession for the sake of the Lord’s settling my needs.

يَا رَبّاهُ يَا رَبّاهُ يَا رَبّاهُ،

ya rabbahu ya rabbahu ya rabbahu

O my Lord; O my Lord; O my Lord;

أسْألُكَ بِكَ،

as'aluka bika

I beseech You by Your sake,

فَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ،

falaysa kamithlika shay’un

For there is nothing like You.

وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ حَبيبِكَ،

wa atawajjahu ilayka bimuhammadin habebika

And I turn my face towards You, asking You in the name of Muhammad, Your most beloved one,

وَبِعِتْرَتِهِ الهادِيَةِ،

wa bi`itratihil-hadiyati

And in the name of his offspring—the guide ones,

وَأُقَدِّمُهُم بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي.

wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday hawa’ije

And I seek their intercession for the sake of Your settling my needs.

وَأسْألُكَ اللّهُمَّ بِحَياتِكَ الَّتي لا تَموتُ،

wa as’aluka allahumma bihayatika allaty la tamutu

And I beseech You in the name of Your everl-ivingness, since You never dies,

وَبِنورِ وَجْهِكَ الّذي لا يُطْفَأُ،

wabinuri wajhika alladhy la yutfa’u

And in the name of the Light of Your Face that is never extinguished

وَبِعَيْنِكَ الّتي لا تَنامُ،

wa bi`aynika allaty la tanamu

And in the name of Your Eye that never sleeps

وَأسْألُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَظيمٌ،

asaluka bihaqqi man haqquhu `alayka `azhemun

I beseech You in the name of those whose names enjoy a great regard with You

أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

an tusalliea `ale muhammadin wali muhammadin,

That You may send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

qabla kulli shay’in

Before everything,

وَبَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa ba`da kulli shay’in

And after everything,

وَعَدَدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa `adada kulli shay’in

And as many as all things,

وَزِنَةَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa zinata kulli shay’in

And as weighty as all things,

وَمِلْءَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa mil’a kulli shay’in

And as full as all things

اَللَّهُمَّ إنّي أسْألُكَ أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ المُصْطَفى،

allahumma inne as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin `abdika almustafa

O Allah: I beseech You to send blessings upon Muhammad—Your chosen servant

وَرَسولِكَ المُرْتَضى،

wa rasulika almurtadha

And Your well-pleased Messenger

وَأَمينِكَ المُصْطفى وَنَجيبِكَ دُونَ خَلْقِكَ،

wa amenika almustafa wa najebika duna khalqika

And Your Chosen Trustee and Your selected one among all Your creatures,

وَحَبيبِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ أجْمَعينَ،

wahabebika wakhiyaratika min khalqika ajma`en

And Your most beloved one, and Your elect among all Your beings.

النَّذيرِ البَشيرِ السِّراجِ المُنيرِ،

alnnadheri albasheri alssiraji almuner

The Warner, the Bearer of good tidings, and the luminous lantern.

وَعَلى أهْلِ بَيتِهِ الطَّيِّبينَ الطّاهِرينَ المُطَهَّرينَ الأخْيارِ الأبْرار،

wa `ala ahli baytihi alttayyibena alttahirena al-akhyari al-abrari

And upon his Household—the pure, the immaculate, the purified, the virtuous, and the pious,

وَعَلَى مَلائِكَتِكَ الّذِينَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa `ala mala’ikatika alladhena istakhlastahum linafsika wa hajabtahum `an khalqika

And upon Your angels whom You have chosen for Yourself and screened from Your creatures,

وَعَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ الّذِينَ يُنْبِئُونَ بِالصّدْقِ عَنْكَ،

wa `ala anbiya’ika alladhena yunabbi’una bilssidqi `anka

And upon Your Prophets who convey truly from You

وَعَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

wa `ala `ibadika alssalihena

And upon Your righteous servants,

اَلَّذينَ أدْخَلْتَهُمْ في رَحْمَتِكَ،

alladhena adkhaltahum fe rahmatika

Whom You have included with Your mercy;

اَلأئِمَّةِ المُهْتَدينَ الرّاشِدينَ المُطَهَّرينَ،

al-a’immati almuhtadena alrrashidena almutahharena

The leaders, the well-guided, the orthodox, the purified,

وَعَلى جِبْرَيئلَ وَميكائِيلَ وَإسْرافِيلَ،

wa `ala jibra’ela wa meka’ela wa israfela

And upon (Archangels) Gabriel, and Michael, and Israfel,

وَمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَرِضْوانَ خازِنِ الجَنَّةِ،

wa malakil-mawti wa ridhwana khazinil-jinani

And the Angel of Death, and Ridhwan the doorkeeper of Paradise,

وَمالِكٍ خَازِنِ النَارِ،

wa malikin khazinin-nari

And Malik the doorkeeper of Hell,

وَالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ،

walrruhil-qudusi

And the Holy Spirit

وَحَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ وَمُنْكَرٍ وَنَكيرٍ،

wa hamalatil-`arshi wa munkarin wa nakerin

And the Bearers of the (Divine) Throne, and Munkar and Naker

وَعَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ الحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيّ،

wa `ala almalakayni alhafizayni `alayya

And the two angels whom are in charge of supervising me

بِالصّلاةِ الّتِي تُحِبّ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ بِها عَلَيْهِمْ،

bilssalari allate tuhibbu an tusalliya biha `alayhim

(please bless them all) with the blessing that You like to bless them with;

صَلاةً كَثيرَةً طَيِّبَةً مُبارَكَةً زاكِيَةً نامِيَةً،

salatan katheratan tayyibatan mubarakatan zakiyatan namiyatan

(Let it be) a blessing that is abundant, pure, holy, genuine, growing,

طاهِرَةً شَريفَةً فاضِلَةً،

tahiratan sharefatan fadhilatan

deep, honorable, and virtuous

تُبَيّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَى الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ.

tubayyinu biha fadhlahum `ala al-awwalena wal-akhirena

through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِي،

allahumma inne as’aluka an tasma`a sawte

O Allah: I beseech You to hear my voice,

وَتُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي،
