"description": "Allamah Majlisi (r.a.) narrates from the author of Qabs al-Misbaah who writes, ‘I heard Shaykh Abu Abdillah al-Husain Ibn al-Hasan Ibn Babwayh (r.a.)(Shaykh al-Saduq (a.r.)) at Rayy near tehran in the year 440 A.H. narrate from his uncle Abu Ja’far Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Babwayh (r.a.)3, ‘One of my teachers from Qum reported, “I was afflicted with a terrible tragedy which made my condition miserable but I felt uncomfortable to let anybody else know about it from my family or friends.\nI slept in this state of grief when I dreamt that a handsome man, well dressed and perfumed. His traits were like some of our teachers from Qum from whom I used to study.\nI said to myself, ‘Till when will I endure my hardships and afflictions and not let anyone from my brothers know about it? This man is from my teachers and I should mention my problem to him. Perhaps he may solve it for me.\nHe initiated the conversation with me saying, ‘Return to your path towards Allah, the High, seek help from Saaheb al-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) and take him as your refuge. For surely, he is the best of helpers and a protection for his believing friends.’\nThereafter, he caught his right hand and said, ‘See him, salute him and ask him to intercede on your behalf from Allah, the High, in the fulfillment of your needs.’\nI said, ‘Teach me how I should say it because my grief has made me forget all the Ziyarat and Supplications.\nHe heaved a deep sigh and said, ‘There is no power or strength but through Allah.’ Then he touched my chest with his hand and remarked, ‘Allah will suffice for you and no evil will befall you. Purify yourself and perform two units of prayers. Then stand up, facing the Qiblah, beneath the sky and say the dua.",

"transliteration": "salamu allahi alkamilu alttammu\n\nalshshamilu al`ammu\n\nwa salawatuhu aldda'imatu\n\nwa barakatuhu alqa'imatu alttammatu\n\n`ala hujjati allahi\n\nwa waliyyihi fi ardihi wa biladihi\n\nwa khalifatihi `ala khalqihi wa `ibadihi\n\nwa sulalati alnnubuwwati\n\nwa baqiyyati al`itrati walssafwati\n\nsahibi alzzamani\n\nwa muzhiri al-imani\n\nwa mulaqqini ahkami alqur'ani\n\nwa mutahhiri al-ardi\n\nwa nashiri al`adli fi alttuli wal`ardi\n\nwalhujjati alqa'imi almahdiyyi\n\nal-imami almuntazari almardiyyi\n\nwabni al-a'immati alttahirina\n\nalwasiyyi ibni al-awsiya'i almardiyyina\n\nalhadi alma`sumi\n\nibni al-a'immati alhudati alma`sumina\n\nalssalamu `alayka ya mu`izza almu'minina almustad`afina\n\nalssalamu `alayka ya mudhilla alkafirina almutakabbirina alzzalimina\n\nalssalamu `alayka ya mawlaya ya sahiba alzzamani\n\nalssalamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi\n\nalssalamu `alayka yabna amiri almu'minina\n\nalssalamu `alayka yabna fatimata alzzahra'i\n\nsayyidati nisa'i al`alamina\n\nalssalamu `alayka yabna al-a'immati alhujaji alma`sumina\n\nwal-imamu `ala alkhalqi ajma`ina\n\nalssalamu `alayka ya mawlaya\n\nsalama mukhlisin laka fi alwilayati\n\nash-hadu annaka al-imamu almahdiyyu qawlan wa fi`lan\n\nwa anta alladhi tamla'u al-arda qistan wa `adlan\n\nba`dama muli'at zulman wa jawran\n\nfa`ajjala allahu farajaka\n\nwa sahhala makhrajaka\n\nwa qarraba zamanaka\n\nwa kaththara ansaraka wa a`wanaka\n\nwa anjaza laka ma wa `adaka\n\nfahuwa asdaqu alqa'ilina\n\nwa nuridu an namunna `ala alladhina istud`ifu fi al-ardi\n\nwa naj`alahum a'immatan wa naj`alahumu alwarithina\n\nya mawlaya ya sahiba alzzamani\n\nyabna rasuli allahi\n\nhajati…\n\n\nfashfa` li fi najahiha\n\nfaqad tawajjahtu ilayka bihajati\n\nli`ilmi anna laka `inda allahi shafa`atan maqbulatan\n\nwa maqaman mahmudan\n\nfabihaqqi man ikhtassakum bi-amrihi\n\nwartadakum lisirrihi\n\nwa bilshsha'ni alladhi lakum `inda allahi baynakum wa baynahu\n\nsal(i) allaha ta`ala fi nujhi talibati\n\nwa ijabati da`wati\n\nwa kashfi kurbati\n\nYou may then ask for whatever you want, and it will be settled for you, by Allah’s permission.",
"translation": "Peace of Allah—perfect, complete,\ncomprehensive, and thorough;\nand His endless benedictions\nand His everlasting, perfect blessings\nbe upon the Argument of Allah,\nHis representative in His lands and realm,\nHis viceroy among His creatures and servants,\nthe offspring of Prophethood,\nthe completion of the (Holy) Progeny and the Choice Ones,\nthe Patron of the Age,\nthe demonstrator of the (true) faith,\nthe teacher of the laws of the Qur’an,\nthe purger of the earth,\nthe spreader of justice all over the earth,\nthe Argument (al-Hujjah), the Riser (al-Qa’im), the Well-guided (al-Mahdi),\nthe Leader, the Awaited, the Pleased,\nthe descendant of the Infallible Imams,\nthe Successor, the son of the Pleased Successors (of the Prophets),\nthe Guide, the Immaculate,\nand the son of the Imams—the guides and immaculate.\nPeace be upon you, O grantor of dignity to the oppressed and faithful ones.\nPeace be upon you, O humiliator of the arrogant and oppressing unbelievers.\nPeace be upon you, O my master, the Patron of the Age.\nPeace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.\nPeace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Believers.\nPeace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the Luminous\nand the Doyenne of the women of the world.\nPeace be upon you, O son of the Imams—the arguments (of Allah) and Immaculate\nand the leader of all creatures.\nPeace be upon you, O my master\naddressed by him who is loyal to your (divinely commissioned) leadership.\nI bear witness that you are the well-guided Imam in word and deed,\nit is you who shall fill the earth with justice and impartiality\nafter it will be filled with wrong and partiality.\nSo, may Allah hasten your reappearance,\nmake easy your advent,\nmake nearer the time of your coming,\nincrease the number of your supporters and backers,\nand fulfill for you all that which He has promised you.\nHe is surely the most truthful of all those who can speak (and He has said):\n“We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land,\nmake them the Imams, and make them the heirs.”\nO my master! O Patron of the Age!\nO son of Allah’s Messenger!\nMy request is...\nMention your need and then go on saying:\nSo, intercede for me so that it will be settled,\nfor I am turning my face towards you for settling my request,\nsince I know for sure that you enjoy with Allah admissible word of intercession,\nand praiseworthy standing.\nSo, I ask you in the name of Him Who granted you (i.e. the Ahl al-Bayt) exclusively the right of representing Him,\nand admitted you all to keep His secrets,\nand I ask you in the name of the standing that you exclusively enjoy with Allah,\nto ask Allah, the Exalted, to render successful my request,\nto answer my prayer,\nand to relieve my grief.\n",

"translation": "since I know for sure that you enjoy with Allah admissible word of intercession,"

"translation": "and praiseworthy standing."

"transliteration": "wartadakum lisirrihi",
"translation": "So, I ask you in the name of Him Who granted you (i.e. the Ahl al-Bayt) exclusively the right of representing Him,"

"arabic": "وَبِٱلشَّانِ ٱلَّذِي لَكُمْ عِنْدَ ٱللَّهِ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ",

"translation": "and admitted you all to keep His secrets,"
