Allāhumma lā ilāha illā Ant
O God, there is no god except You,

innaka khayru l-ghāfirīn.
for surely You are the best of those who forgive.
From Adam's supplication to dispel self-talk
Adam (peace be upon him) complained to God
about the whisperings of the soul (inner thoughts/distress),
Then Gabriel (peace be upon him) descended upon him and said:
Qul "lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi",
Say, "There is no power and no strength except with God,"
So he said it,and God removed (the distress) from him.
So this is the origin of [the phrase] "lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāh."
From the supplication of Noah
When Noah (peace be upon him) looked at the horror of the water and the waves,
fear entered his heart,So God, Glorious and Mighty, revealed to him:
Say, "There is no god but God" (Lā ilāha illā Llāh) a thousand times, [and] I shall save you.
He said: Then the wind entered the sail,
So he said, "Lā ilāha illā Llāh" a thousand times a thousand times (a million),
and God saved him

Your Throne is above Your seven heavens,

yet nothing shades over You.

O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
Lā ilāha illā Anta
There is no god except You;

You are Exalted beyond having a partner,
wa takabbarta an yakūna laka ḍiddun
and You are Too Majestic to have an opponent.

Yā Nūra n-Nūr, yā Nūra kulli nūrin
O Light of the Light, O Light of every light,

Yā Malīka kulli malīkin
O Sovereign of every sovereign,

yā man mala’a arkāna s-samāwāti wa l-arḍi bi-‘aẓamatih
O You Who filled the corners of the heavens and the earth with His greatness.

Yā man lā Huwa illā Huwa
O You Who is none but He.
Aghithnī aghithnī
Aid me! Aid me!
s-sā‘ata s-sā‘ata.
Now! This very instant!
Yā man amruhu ka-lamḥi l-baṣari aw huwa aqrab
O You Whose command is but a glance of the eye, or even closer!
Yā Ahyā Sharāhiyā Ādhūnī Aṣbā’ūth Āl Shaddāy
O Ahyā Sharāhiyā Ādhūnī Aṣbā’ūth Āl Shaddāy (Invocations of power, often of Hebrew origin)
Yā Allāhu yā Allāhu yā Allāhu yā Allāhu yā Allāhu
O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
Yā Rabbāh yā Rabbāh yā Rabbāh yā Rabbāh yā Rabbāh
O my Lord, O my Lord, O my Lord, O my Lord, O my Lord,
Yā ghāyata raghbatāh wa muntahāh
O the utmost limit of my desire and its termination!
Then, when Abraham (peace be upon him) supplicated, the angels wondered at his voice,
wa idhā n-nidā’u mina l-‘Aliyyi l-A‘lā-
and behold, the call came forth from the Most High, the Exalted:
Yā nāru kūnī bardan wa salāman ‘alā Ibrāhīm
"O fire, be cool and peaceful upon Abraham!" (Qur'an 21:69)
fa-khamadat asra‘a min ṭarfati ‘ayn.
So it was extinguished faster than the blinking of an eye.

Allāhumma Badī‘a s-samāwāti wa l-araḍīn
O God, the Originator of the heavens and the earths,
Dhā l-Jalāli wa l-Ikrām
Possessor of Majesty and Honor,

fa-inna Fir‘awna wa jamī‘a ahli s-samāwāti wa ahli l-arḍ
for surely Pharaoh and all the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth,
wa mā baynahumā ‘abīduk
and what is between them, are Your slaves,

Kun lanā jāran min Fir‘awna wa junūdih
Be a Protector (Guardian) for us against Pharaoh and his soldiers.
Thumma dakhala ‘alayh
Then he entered upon him (the enemy/Pharaoh),
wa qad albasahu Llāhu junnatan min sulṭānih
and God had already clothed him with a shield (protection) from His authority,

The Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) descended,
and they had been persistent in supplication,
so he waited for a short while, then he ascended the pulpit and said:
"Whoever loves that his praise should surpass the praise of the strugglers (Mujāhidīn),
let him say this statement every day,and if he has a need, it will be fulfilled,
or an enemy will be subdued,
or a debt will be paid,
or a distress will be relieved,
and his words will pierce the heavens,
until it is written in the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ)."

Yā Rabbi mina l-jibāli anzaltanī
O my Lord, You brought me down from the mountains,
wa mina l-maskani akhrajtanī
and You removed me from my dwelling,
wa fī l-biḥāri ṣayyartanī
and in the seas You caused me to be (thrown),
wa fī baṭni l-ḥūti ḥabastanī
and in the belly of the whale You imprisoned me!

and except that God says to the angels: 'Bear witness,I have responded to him through them,
and I have given him his request in the immediacy of his world and the deferred [reward] of his afterlife.'
Then he said to his companions: 'Ask with them, and do not consider the answer slow to come.'
