|
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ |
al¦amdu lill¡hi rabbi
al`¡lam¢na |
All praise be to Allah the Lord of
the worlds. |
|
وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّهِ |
wa ¥all¡
all¡hu `al¡
sayyidin¡
mu¦ammadin nabiyyih¢ |
May Allah send blessings upon our
master Mu¦ammad His Prophet |
|
وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً |
wa ¡lih¢ wa sallama
tasl¢man |
and upon his Household and may He
salute them with thorough salutation. |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ |
all¡humma laka al¦amdu |
O Allah, all praise be to You |
|
عَلَىٰ مَا جَرَىٰ بِهِ قَضَاؤُكَ |
`al¡
m¡
jar¡
bih¢ qa¤¡'uka |
for Your decree that has been applied |
|
فِي
اوْلِيَائِكَ
ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَدِينِكَ |
f¢ awliy¡'ika alladh¢na
istakhla¥tahum linafsika wa d¢nika |
to Your vicegerents whom You have
purely selected for Yourself and Your religion; |
|
إِِذِ ٱخْتَرْتَ لَهُمْ جَزِيلَ مَا عِنْدَكَ |
idhi ikhtarta lahum jaz¢la
m¡
`indaka |
as You have chosen for them the
abundance of what You have in possession; |
|
مِنَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٱلْمُقِيمِ |
min alnna`¢mi almuq¢mi |
that is the enduring pleasure |
|
ٱلَّذِي لاََ زَوَالَ لَهُ وَلاَ ٱضْمِحْلاَلَ |
alladh¢ l¡
zaw¡la lah£ wa l¡
i¤mi¦l¡la |
that neither vanishes nor diminishes, |
|
بَعْدَ انْ
شَرَطْتَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلزُّهْدَ |
ba`da an shara§ta
`alayhim alzzuhda |
after You had already stipulated on
them to renounce |
|
فِي
دَرَجَاتِ هٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ٱلدَّنِيَّةِ |
f¢ daraj¡ti h¡dhih¢
aldduny¡
alddaniyyati |
all the ranks of this lowly world |
|
وَزُخْرُفِهَا وَزِبْرِجِهَا |
wa zukhrufih¡
wa zibrijih¡ |
along with all of its embellishments
and ornaments, |
|
فَشَرَطُوٱ لَكَ ذٰلِكَ |
fashara§£ laka dh¡lika |
and they accepted this stipulation. |
|
وَعَلِمْتَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْوَفَاءَ بِهِ |
wa `alimta minhum
alwaf¡'a bih¢ |
As You knew that they would fulfill
this stipulation, |
|
فَقَبِلْتَهُمْ وَقَرَّبْتَهُمْ |
faqabiltahum wa
qarrabtahum |
You accepted and drew them near to
You. |
|
وَقَدَّمْتَ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ ٱلْعَلِيَّ |
wa qaddamta lahum
aldhdhikra al`aliyya |
You thus provided them with sublime
mention |
|
وَٱلثَّنَاءَ ٱلْجَلِيَّ |
walththan¡'a aljaliyya |
and obvious approval, |
|
وَاهْبَطْتَ
عَلَيْهِمْ مَلاَئِكَتَكَ |
wa ahba§ta `alayhim
mal¡'ikataka |
made Your angels descend to them, |
|
وَكَرَّمْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ |
wa karramtahum biwa¦yika |
honored them with Your revelations, |
|
وَرَفَدْتَهُمْ بِعِلْمِكَ |
wa rafadtahum bi`ilmika |
supported them with Your knowledge, |
|
وَجَعَلْتَهُمُ ٱلذَّرِيعَةَ إِِلَيْكَ |
wa ja`altahum
aldhdhar¢`ata ilayka |
and made them the channel to You |
|
وَٱلْوَسِيلَةَ إِلَىٰ رِضْوَانِكَ |
walwas¢lata il¡
ri¤w¡nika |
and the means to winning Your
pleasure. |
|
فَبَعْضٌ اسْكَنْتَهُ
جَنَّتَكَ |
faba`¤un askantah£
jannataka |
Therefore, You made some of them
dwell in Your Garden |
|
إِلَىٰ انْ
اخْرَجْتَهُ
مِنْهَا |
il¡
an akhrajtah£ minh¡ |
until You decided to take him out of
there. |
|
وَبَعْضٌ حَمَلْتَهُ فِي فُلْكِكَ |
wa ba`¤un ¦amaltah£ f¢
fulkika |
You bore another one on in Your Ark |
|
وَنَجَّيْتَهُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ مَعَهُ |
wa najjaytah£ wa man
¡mana ma`ah£ |
and saved him and those who believed
with him |
|
مِنَ ٱلْهَلَكَةِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ |
min alhalakati
bira¦matika |
from perdition, out of Your mercy. |
|
وَبَعْضٌ ٱتَّخَذْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ خَلِيلاًَ |
wa ba`¤un ittakhadhtah£
linafsika khal¢lan |
You took another one as Your intimate
friend |
|
وَسَالَكَ
لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي ٱلآخِرِينَ فَاجَبْتَهُ |
wa sa'alaka lis¡na ¥idqin
f¢ al-¡khir¢na fa'ajabtah£ |
and when he asked You to leave behind
him a truthful mention, You responded to him |
|
وَجَعَلْتَ ذٰلِكَ عَلِيّاً |
wa ja`alta dh¡lika
`aliyyan |
and made that (mention) to be
eminent. |
|
وَبَعْضٌ كَلَّمْتَهُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ تَكْلِيماً |
wa ba`¤un kallamtah£ min
shajaratin takl¢man |
You spoke to another one from a tree
directly |
|
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهُ مِنْ اخِيهِ
رِدْءاً وَوَزِيراً |
wa ja`alta lah£ min
akh¢hi rid'an wa waz¢ran |
and decided his brother to be his
protector and representative. |
|
وَبَعْضٌ اوْلَدْتَهُ
مِنْ غَيْرِ ابٍ |
wa ba`¤un awladtah£ min
ghayri abin |
You made another one to be born
without a father, |
|
وَآتَيْتَهُ ٱلْبَيِّنَاتِ |
wa ¡taytah£ albayyin¡ti |
gave him clear-cut proofs |
|
وَايَّدْتَهُ
بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ |
wa ayyadtah£ bir£¦i
alqudusi |
and aided him with the Sacred Spirit. |
|
وَكُلٌّ شَرَعْتَ لَهُ شَرِيعَةً |
wa kullun shara`ta lah£
shar¢`atan |
For each of them, You gave a code of
law, |
|
وَنَهَجْتَ لَهُ مِنْهَاجاً |
wa nahajta lah£ minh¡jan |
decided a certain course, |
|
وَتَخَيَّرْتَ لَهُ اوْصِيَاءَ |
wa takhayyarta lah£
aw¥iy¡'a |
and finely chose successors; |
|
مُسْتَحْفِظاً بَعْدَ مُسْتَحْفِظٍ |
musta¦fi¨an ba`da
musta¦fi¨in |
well-trustworthy successors one after
another, |
|
مِنْ مُدَّةٍ إِلَىٰ مُدَّةٍ |
min muddatin il¡
muddatin |
each for a certain period, |
|
إِِقَامَةً لِدِينِكَ |
iq¡matan lid¢nika |
in purpose of establishing Your
religion |
|
وَحُجَّةً عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ |
wa ¦ujjatan `al¡
`ib¡dika |
and acting as arguments against Your
servants, |
|
وَلِئَلاَّ يَزُولَ ٱلْحَقُّ عَنْ مَقَرِّهِ |
wa li'all¡
yaz£la al¦aqqu `an maqarrih¢ |
so that the truth should never leave
its position |
|
وَيَغْلِبَ ٱلْبَاطِلُ عَلَىٰ اهْلِهِ |
wa yaghliba alb¡§ilu `al¡
ahlih¢ |
and the wrong should never overcome
the people of the truth |
|
وَلاَ يَقُولَ احَدٌ |
wa l¡
yaq£la a¦adun |
and so that none should claim,
saying, |
|
لَوْ لاَ ارْسَلْتَ
إِِلَيْنَا رَسُولاًَ مُنْذِراً |
lawl¡
arsalta ilayn¡
ras£lan mundhiran |
“If only You had sent to us a warning
messenger |
|
وَاقَمْتَ
لَنَا عَلَماً هَادِياً |
wa aqamta lan¡
`alaman h¡diyan |
and established for us a guiding
person, |
|
فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ انْ
نَذِلَّ وَنَخْزَىٰ |
fanattabi`a ¡y¡tika min
qabli an nadhilla wa nakhz¡ |
we should have followed Your signs
before that we met humiliation and disgrace!” |
|
إِلَىٰ انِ
ٱنْتَهَيْتَ بِٱلامْرِ
إِلَىٰ حَبِيبِكَ وَنَجِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ |
il¡
an intahayta bil-amri il¡
¦ab¢bika wa naj¢bika mu¦ammadin |
You then ended the matter with Your
most-beloved and well-select one, Mu¦ammad, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ |
¥all¡
all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ |
may Allah bless him and his
Household. |
|
فَكَانَ كَمَا ٱنْتَجَبْتَهُ |
fak¡na kam¡
intajabtah£ |
He was—as exactly as You have chosen— |
|
سَيِّدَ مَنْ خَلَقْتَهُ |
sayyida man khalaqtah£ |
the master of all those whom You
created, |
|
وَصَفْوَةَ مَنِ ٱصْطَفَيْتَهُ |
wa ¥afwata man
i¥§afaytah£ |
the best of all those whom You
selected, |
|
وَافْضَلَ
مَنِ ٱجْتَبَيْتَهُ |
wa af¤ala man ijtabaytah£ |
the most favorite of all those whom
You pointed out, |
|
وَاكْرَمَ
مَنِ ٱعْتَمَدْتَهُ |
wa akrama man i`tamadtah£ |
and the noblest of all those on whom
You decided. |
|
قَدَّمْتَهُ عَلَىٰ انْبِيَائِكَ |
qaddamtah£ `al¡
anbiy¡'ika |
So, You preferred him to Your
prophets, |
|
وَبَعَثْتَهُ إِِلَىٰ ٱلثَّقَلَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ |
wa ba`athtah£ il¡
alththaqalayni min `ib¡dika |
sent him to the two dependents (men
and jinn) from Your servants, |
|
وَاوْطَاتَهُ
مَشَارِقَكَ وَمَغَارِبَكَ |
wa aw§a'tah£ mash¡riqaka
wa magh¡ribaka |
enabled him to tread on the east and
the west of Your lands, |
|
وَسَخَّرْتَ لَهُ ٱلْبُرَاقَ |
wa sakhkharta lah£
albur¡qa |
made subservient to him the Bur¡q
(the celestial sumpter), |
|
وَعَرَجْتَ بِرُوْحِهِ إِلَىٰ سَمَائِكَ |
wa `arajta bir£¦ih¢ il¡
sam¡'ika |
raised his soul to Your heavens, |
|
وَاوْدَعْتَهُ
عِلْمَ مَا كَانَ |
wa awda`tah£ `ilma m¡
k¡na |
and entrusted with him the knowledge
of whatever passed |
|
وَمَا يَكُونُ إِِلَىٰ ٱنْقِضَاءِ خَلْقِكَ |
wa m¡
yak£nu il¡
inqi¤¡'i khalqika |
and whatever shall come to pass up to
the extinction of Your creatures. |
|
ثُمَّ نَصَرْتَهُ بِٱلرُّعْبِ |
thumma na¥artah£
bilrru`bi |
You then granted him victory by means
of horror |
|
وَحَفَفْتَهُ بِجَبْرَئِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ |
wa ¦afaftah£ bijabra'¢la
wa m¢k¡'¢la |
ordered (Archangels) Gabriel and
Michael |
|
وَٱلْمُسَوِّمِينَ مِنْ مَلاَئِكَتِكَ |
walmusawwim¢na min
mal¡'ikatika |
as well as the marked angels to
surround him, |
|
وَوَعَدْتَهُ انْ
تُظْهِرَ دِينَهُ عَلَىٰ ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِ |
wa wa`adtah£ an tu¨hira
d¢nah£ `al¡
aldd¢ni kullih¢ |
and promised him to make his faith
prevail all other faiths |
|
وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ |
wa law kariha
almushrik£na |
however much the polytheists may be
averse. |
|
وَذٰلِكَ بَعْدَ انْ
بَوَّاتَهُ
مُبَوَّا
صِدْقٍ مِنْ اهْلِهِ |
wa dh¡lika ba`da an
bawwa'tah£ mubawwa'a ¥idqin min ahlih¢ |
You did all that after You had
settled him in an honest position among his people, |
|
وَجَعَلْتَ لَهُ وَلَهُمْ اوَّلَ
بَيْتٍ |
wa ja`alta lah£ wa lahum
awwala baytin |
made for him and them the first house |
|
وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذي بِبَكَّةَ |
wu¤i`a lilnn¡si lalladh¢
bibakkata |
ever located for the people; that is
the house in Bakkah, |
|
مُبَارَكاً وَهُدىًٰ لِلْعَالَمينَ |
mub¡rakan wa hudan
lil`¡lam¢na |
blessed and guidance for the worlds. |
|
فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ |
f¢hi ¡y¡tun bayyin¡tun |
In it, there are clear-cut proofs. |
|
مَقَامُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ |
maq¡mu ibr¡h¢ma |
It is the standing-place of Abraham, |
|
وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِناً |
wa man dakhalah£ k¡na
¡minan |
and whoever enters it will be
secured. |
|
وَقُلْتَ «إِِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ |
wa qulta innam¡
yur¢du all¡hu liyudhhiba `ankum alrrijsa |
You also said, “Allah only desires to
keep away the uncleanness from you, |
|
اهْلَ
ٱلْبَيْتِ |
ahla albayti |
O people of the House, |
|
وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيراً.» |
wa yu§ahhirakum tath¢ran |
and to purify you a thorough
purifying.” |
|
ثُمَّ جَعَلْتَ اجْرَ
مُحَمَّدٍ |
thumma ja`alta ajra
mu¦ammadin |
You then decided the reward of
Mu¦ammad, |
|
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ |
¥alaw¡tuka `alayhi wa
¡lih¢ |
Your blessings be upon him and his
Household, |
|
مَوَدَّتَهُمْ فِي كِتَابِكَ |
mawaddatahum f¢ kit¡bika |
to be the love for them; as in Your
Book |
|
فَقُلْتَ «قُلْ لاََ اسْالُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ اجْراً |
faqulta qul l¡
as'alukum `alayhi ajran |
You said, “Say: I do not ask of you
any reward for it |
|
إِِلاَّ ٱلْمَوَدَّةَ فِي ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ.» |
ill¡
almawaddata f¢ alqurb¡ |
but love for my near relatives.” |
|
وَقُلْتَ «مَا سَالْتُكُمْ
مِنْ اجْرٍ
فَهُوَ لَكُمْ.» |
wa qulta m¡
sa'altukum min ajrin fahuwa lakum |
You also said, “Whatever reward I
have asked of you, that is only for yourselves.” |
|
وَقُلْتَ «مَا اسْالُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اجْرٍ |
wa qulta m¡
as'alukum `alayhi min ajrin |
You also said, “I do not ask you
aught in return |
|
إِلاَّ مَنْ شَاءَ انْ
يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلاًَ.» |
ill¡
man sh¡'a an yattakhidha il¡
rabbih¢ sab¢lan |
except that he who wills, may take
the way to his Lord.” |
|
فَكَانُوٱ هُمُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِِلَيْكَ |
fak¡n£ hum alssab¢la
ilayka |
They (i.e. the Prophet’s Household)
have therefore been the way to You |
|
وَٱلْمَسْلَكَ إِلَىٰ رِضْوَانِكَ |
walmaslaka il¡
ri¤w¡nika |
and the course to Your pleasure. |
|
فَلَمَّا ٱنْقَضَتْ ايَّامُهُ |
falamm¡
inqa¤at ayy¡muh£ |
When his (i.e. the Prophet) days
passed, |
|
اقَامَ
وَلِيَّهُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ ابِي
طَالِبٍ |
aq¡ma waliyyah£ `aliyya
bna ab¢ §¡libin |
he appointed as successor his
vicegerent `Al¢ the son of Ab£-±¡lib, |
|
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَآلِهِمَا هَادِياً |
¥alaw¡tuka `alayhim¡
wa ¡lihim¡
h¡diyan |
Your blessings be upon both of them
and their Household, |
|
إِِذْ كَانَ هُوَ ٱلْمُنْذِرَ |
idh k¡na huwa almundhira |
because he (the Prophet) was the
warner |
|
وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ |
wa likulli qawmin h¡din |
and `Al¢ was the guide for every
people. |
|
فَقَالَ وَٱلْمَلَا امَامَهُ: |
faq¡la walmala'u am¡mah£ |
So, he (the Prophet) said in the
presence of the people, |
|
”مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلاَهُ |
man kuntu mawl¡hu |
“As for each one who has taken me as
his master, |
|
فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلاَهُ |
fa`aliyyun mawl¡hu |
`Al¢ is now his master. |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ |
all¡humma w¡li man w¡l¡hu |
O Allah, guard any one who is loyal
to `Al¢, |
|
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ |
wa `¡di man `¡d¡hu |
be the enemy of any one who
antagonizes him, |
|
وَٱنْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَهُ |
wan¥ur man na¥arah£ |
support any one who supports him, |
|
وَٱخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُ.“ |
wakhdhul man khadhalah£ |
and disappoint any one who
disappoints him.” |
|
وَقَالَ: ”مَنْ كُنْتُ انَا
نَبِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ امِيرُهُ.“ |
wa q¡la man kuntu an¡
nabiyyah£ fa`aliyyun am¢ruh£ |
He also said, “As for any one who has
considered me as his Prophet, `Al¢ is now his commander.” |
|
وَقَالَ: ”انَا
وَعَلِيٌّ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ |
wa q¡la an¡
wa `aliyyun min shajaratin w¡¦idatin |
He also said, “`Al¢ and I are of the
same tree, |
|
وَسَائِرُ ٱلنَّاسِ مِنْ شَجَرٍ شَتَّىٰ.“ |
wa s¡'iru alnn¡si min
shajarin shatt¡ |
while all the other peoples are from
various trees.” |
|
وَاحَلَّهُ
مَحَلَّ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَىٰ |
wa a¦allah£ ma¦alla
h¡r£na min m£s¡ |
He endued him (i.e. `Al¢) with the
position that (Prophet) Aaron had with regard to (Prophet) Moses, |
|
فَقَالَ لَهُ: ”انْتَ
مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَىٰ |
faq¡l lah£ anta minn¢
bimanzilati h¡r£na min m£s¡ |
saying, “Your position to me is as
same as Aaron’s position to Moses (in every thing) |
|
إِلاَّ انَّهُ
لاََ نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي.“ |
ill¡
annah£ l¡
nabiyya ba`d¢ |
except that there shall be no prophet
after me.” |
|
وَزَوَّجَهُ ٱبْنَتَهُ سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ |
wa zawwajah£ ibnatah£
sayyidata nis¡'i al`¡lam¢na |
He gave him in marriage his daughter
the doyenne of the women of the worlds. |
|
وَاحَلَّ
لَهُ مِنْ مَسْجِدِهِ مَا حَلَّ لَهُ |
wa a¦alla lah£ min
masjidih¢ m¡
¦alla lah£ |
He allowed him (alone) to do whatever
he himself is allowed to do in his Mosque. |
|
وَسَدَّ ٱلابْوَابَ
إِِلاَّ بَابَهُ |
wa sadda al-abw¡ba ill¡
b¡bah£ |
He closed all the doors (to the
Mosque) except his (i.e. `Al¢) door. |
|
ثُمَّ اوْدَعَهُ
عِلْمَهُ وَحِكْمَتَهُ |
thumma awda`ah£ `ilmah£
wa ¦ikmatah£ |
He then entrusted with him his
knowledge and his wisdom, |
|
فَقَالَ: ”انَا
مَدِينَةُ ٱلْعِلْمِ |
faq¡la an¡
mad¢natu al`ilmi |
saying, “I am the city of knowledge, |
|
وَعَلِيٌّ بَابُهَا |
wa `aliyyun b¡buh¡ |
and `Al¢ is its door. |
|
فَمَنْ ارَادَ
ٱلْمَدِينَةَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ |
faman ar¡da almad¢nata
wal¦ikmata |
So, whoever wants this city and
wisdom, |
|
فَلْيَاتِهَا
مِنْ بَابِهَا.“ |
falya'tih¡
min b¡bih¡ |
must come to it from its door.” |
|
ثُمَّ قَالَ: ”انْتَ
اخِي
وَوَصِيِّي وَوَارِثِي |
thumma q¡la anta akh¢ wa
wa¥iyy¢ wa w¡rith¢ |
He then said (to `Al¢), “You are my
brother, successor, and inheritor. |
|
لَحْمُكَ مِنْ لَحْمِي |
la¦muka min la¦m¢ |
Your flesh is part of my flesh, |
|
وَدَمُكَ مِنْ دَمِي |
wa damuka min dam¢ |
your blood is part of my blood, |
|
وَسِلْمُكَ سِلْمِي |
wa silmuka silm¢ |
your peace is my peace, |
|
وَحَرْبُكَ حَرْبِي |
wa ¦arbuka ¦arb¢ |
your war is my war, |
|
وَٱلإِيـمَانُ مُخَالِطٌ لَحْمَكَ وَدَمَكَ |
wal-¢m¡nu mukh¡li§un
la¦maka wa damaka |
and faith is mixed with your flesh
and blood |
|
كَمَا خَالَطَ لَحْمِي وَدَمِي |
kam¡
kh¡la§a la¦m¢ wa dam¢ |
as same as it is mixed with my flesh
and blood. |
|
وَانْتَ
غَداً عَلَىٰ الْحَوْضِ خَلِيفَتِي |
wa anta ghadan `al¡
al¦aw¤i khal¢fat¢ |
On the morrow, you shall be my
vicegerent on the (Divine) Pond. |
|
وَانْتَ
تَقْضِي دَيْنِي |
wa anta taq¤¢ dayn¢ |
You also settle my debts |
|
وَتُنْجِزُ عِدَاتِي |
wa tunjizu `id¡t¢ |
and fulfill my commitments. |
|
وَشِيعَتُكَ عَلَىٰ مَنَابِرَ مِنْ نُورٍ |
wa sh¢`atuka `al¡
man¡bira min n£rin |
Your Sh¢`ah (i.e. adherents) shall be
on pulpits of light, |
|
مُبْيَضَّةً وُجُوهُهُمْ حَوْلِي فِي ٱلْجَنَّةِ |
mubya¤¤atan wuj£huhum
¦awl¢ f¢ aljannati |
white-faced, around me in Paradise. |
|
وَهُمْ جِيرَانِي |
wa hum j¢r¡n¢ |
They are my neighbors (therein). |
|
وَلَوْلاَ انْتَ
يَا عَلِيُّ |
wa lawl¡
anta y¡
`aliyyu |
Were it not for you `Al¢, |
|
لَمْ يُعْرَفِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ بَعْدِي.“ |
lam yu`raf almu'min£na
ba`d¢ |
true believers would not be
recognized after me.” |
|
وَكَانَ بَعْدَهُ هُدىٰ مِنَ ٱلضَّلاَلِ |
wa k¡na ba`dah£ hudan min
al¤¤al¡li |
Hence, he (i.e. `Al¢), after the
Prophet, was true guidance against straying off, |
|
وَنُوراً مِنَ ٱلْعَمَىٰ |
wa n£ran min al`am¡ |
light against blindness, |
|
وَحَبْلَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمَتِينَ |
wa ¦abla all¡hi almat¢na |
the firmest rope of Allah, |
|
وَصِرَاطَهُ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ |
wa ¥ir¡§ah£ almustaq¢ma |
and His straight path. |
|
لاََ يُسْبَقُ بِقَرَابَةٍ فِي رَحِمٍ |
l¡
yusbaqu biqar¡batin f¢ ra¦imin |
None would precede him in blood
relation (with the Prophet) |
|
وَلاَ بِسَابِقَةٍ فِي دِينٍ |
wa l¡
bis¡biqatin f¢ d¢nin |
or any priority in a religious
affair, |
|
وَلاَ يُلْحَقُ فِي مَنْقَبَةٍ مِنْ مَنَاقِبِهِ |
wa l¡
yul¦aqu f¢ manqabatin min man¡qibih¢ |
and none would ever match him in any
item of virtue. |
|
يَحْذُو حَذْوَ ٱلرَّسُولِ |
ya¦dh£ ¦adhwa alrras£li |
He patterned after the Messenger, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَآلِهِمَا |
¥all¡
all¡hu `alayhim¡
wa ¡lihim¡ |
may Allah’s blessings be upon both of
them and their Household. |
|
وَيُقَاتِلُ عَلَىٰ ٱلتَّاوِيلِ |
wa yuq¡tilu `al¡
altta'w¢li |
He fought for the sake of true
interpretation (of the Qur'¡n). |
|
وَلاَ تَاخُذُهُ
فِي ٱللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ |
wa l¡
ta'khudhuh£ f¢ all¡hi lawmatu l¡'imin |
The blame of any blamer would never
stop him from doing anything for the sake of Allah. |
|
قَدْ وَتَرَ فِيهِ صَنَادِيدَ ٱلْعَرَبِ |
qad watara f¢hi ¥an¡d¢da
al`arabi |
He thus exterminated the villains of
the Arabs, |
|
وَقَتَلَ ابْطَالَهُمْ |
wa qatala ab§¡lahum |
killed their heroes, |
|
وَنَاوَشَ ذُؤْبَانَهُمْ |
wa n¡washa dhu'b¡nahum |
and eradicated their ferocious
fighters. |
|
فَاوْدَعَ
قُلُوبَهُمْ احْقَاداً |
fa'awda`a qul£bahum
a¦q¡dan |
He therefore filled in their hearts
with malice |
|
بَدْرِيَّةً وَخَيْبَرِيَّةً وَحُنَيْنِيَّةً وَغَيْرَهُنَّ |
badriyyatan wa
khaybariyyatan wa ¦unayniyyatan wa ghayrahunna |
from the battles of Badr, Khaybar,
and °unayn as well as others. |
|
فَاضَبَّتْ
عَلَىٰ عَدَاوَتِهِ |
fa'a¤abbat `al¡
`ad¡watih¢ |
Therefore, they clang inseparably to
opposing him |
|
وَاكَبَّتْ
عَلَىٰ مُنَابَذَتِهِ |
wa akabbat `al¡
mun¡badhatih¢ |
and attached upon dissenting him |
|
حَتَّىٰ قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاكِثِينَ وَٱلْقَاسِطِينَ وَٱلْمَارِقِينَ |
¦att¡
qatala alnn¡kith¢na walq¡si§¢na walm¡riq¢na |
until he had to kill the preachers,
the unjust, and the apostates. |
|
وَلَمَّا قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ |
wa lamm¡
qa¤¡
na¦bah£ |
When he passed away |
|
وَقَتَلَهُ اشْقَىٰ
ٱلآخِرِينَ يَتْبَعُ اشْقَىٰ
ٱلاوَّلِينَ |
wa qatalah£ ashq¡
al-¡khir¢na yatba`u ashq¡
al-awwal¢na |
and he was killed by the most
miserable of all of the late generations who will be attached to the
most miserable of the past generations, |
|
لَمْ يُمْتَثَلْ امْرُ
رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ |
lam yumtathal amru ras£li
all¡hi |
the decree of Allah’s Messenger, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ |
¥all¡
all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ |
may Allah bless him and his
Household, |
|
فِي
ٱلْهَادِينَ بَعْدَ ٱلْهَادِينَ |
f¢ alh¡d¢na ba`da
alh¡d¢na |
about the leadership of the
successive guiding ones was not carried out; |
|
وَٱلامَّةُ
مُصِرَّةٌ عَلَىٰ مَقْتِهِ |
wal-ummatu mu¥irratun
`al¡
maqtih¢ |
rather, the people insisted on
detesting him |
|
مُجْتَمِعَةٌ عَلَىٰ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمِهِ |
mujtami`atun `al¡
qa§¢`ati ra¦imih¢ |
and agreed unanimously on rupturing
their relations with him |
|
وَإِِقْصَاءِ وُلْدِهِ |
wa iq¥¡'i wuldih¢ |
and moving away his descendants (from
leadership), |
|
إِِلاَّ ٱلْقَلِيلَ مِمَّنْ وَفَىٰ لِرِعَايَةِ ٱلْحَقِّ فِيهِمْ |
ill¡
alqal¢la mimman waf¡
liri`¡yati al¦aqqi f¢him |
except for a few ones who fulfilled
the duty of observing their rights. |
|
فَقُتِلَ مَنْ قُتِلَ |
faqutila man qutila |
Many (of `Al¢’s descendants) were
therefore slain, |
|
وَسُبِيَ مَنْ سُبِيَ |
wa subiya man subiya |
many others were taken as captives, |
|
وَاقْصِيَ
مَنْ اقْصِيَ |
wa uq¥iya man uq¥iya |
and many others were banished. |
|
وَجَرَىٰ ٱلْقَضَاءُ لَهُمْ |
wa jar¡
alqa¤¡'u lahum |
Decrees were thus applied to them |
|
بِمَا يُرْجَىٰ لَهُ حُسْنُ ٱلْمَثُوبَةِ |
bim¡
yurj¡
lah£ ¦usnu almath£bati |
in a form expected to grant them
excellent reward for that. |
|
إِِذْ كَانَتِ ٱلارْضُ
لِلَّهِ |
idh k¡nat al-ar¤u lill¡hi |
Verily, the earth is Allah’s; |
|
يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ |
y£rithuh¡
man yash¡'u min `ib¡dih¢ |
He gives it in inheritance to
whomever of His servants that He wishes; |
|
وَٱلْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ |
wal`¡qibatu lilmuttaq¢na |
and the end result shall be for the
pious. |
|
وَسُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا |
wa sub¦¡na rabbin¡ |
All glory be to our Lord. |
|
إِِنْ كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولاًَ |
in k¡na wa`du rabbin¡
lamaf`£lan |
Most certainly, the promise of our
Lord shall come to pass. |
|
وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ |
wa lan yukhlifa all¡hu
wa`dah£ |
Allah shall never fail to fulfill His
promise. |
|
وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ |
wa huwa al`az¢zu al¦ak¢mu |
He is the Almighty, the All-wise. |
|
فَعَلَىٰ ٱلاطَائِبِ
مِنْ اهْلِ
بَيْتِ مُحَمَّد وَعَلِيٍّ |
fa`al¡
al-a§¡'ibi min ahli bayti mu¦ammadin wa
`aliyyin |
For the immaculate ones from the
household of Mu¦ammad and `Al¢, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَآلِهِمَا |
¥all¡
all¡hu `alayhim¡
wa ¡lihim¡ |
may Allah bless both of them and
their household, |
|
فَلْيَبْكِ ٱلْبَاكُونَ |
falyabki alb¡k£na |
let weepers weep. |
|
وَإِِيَّاهُمْ فَلْيَنْدُبِ ٱلنَّادِبُونَ |
wa iyy¡hum falyandub
alnn¡dib£na |
For them too, let lamenters lament. |
|
وَلِمِثْلِهِمْ فَلْتَذْرِفِ ٱلدُّمُوعُ |
wa limithlihim faltadhrif
alddum£`u |
For the like of them, let tears be
shed, |
|
وَلْيَصْرُخِ ٱلصَّارِخُونَ |
walya¥rukh al¥¥¡rikh£na |
screamers scream, |
|
وَيَضِجَّ ٱلضَّاجُّونَ |
wa ya¤ijja al¤¤¡jj£na |
yellers yell, |
|
وَيَعِجَّ ٱلْعَاجُّوَنَ |
wa ya`ijja al`¡jj£na |
and wailers wail. |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْحَسَنُ ايْنَ
ٱلْحُسَيْنُ |
ayna al¦asanu ayna
al¦usaynu |
Where is al-°asan? Where is
al-°usayn? |
|
ايْنَ
ابْنَاءُ
ٱلْحُسَيْنِ |
ayna abn¡'u al¦usayni |
Where are the sons of al-°usayn; |
|
صَالِحٌ بَعْدَ صَالِحٍ |
¥¡li¦un ba`da ¥¡li¦in |
a virtuous one after another, |
|
وَصَادِقٌ بَعْدَ صَادِقٍ |
wa ¥¡diqun ba`da ¥¡diqin |
and a veracious one after another? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلسَّبِيلُ بَعْدَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ |
ayna alssab¢lu ba`da
alssab¢li |
Where is the course (to Allah) after
a course? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْخِيَرَةُ بَعْدَ ٱلْخِيَرَةِ |
ayna alkhiyaratu ba`da
alkhiyarati |
Where is the best after the best? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلشُّمُوسُ ٱلطَّالِعَةُ |
ayna alshshum£su
al§§¡li`atu |
Where are the rising suns? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلاقْمَارُ
ٱلْمُنِيرَةُ |
ayna al-aqm¡ru almun¢ratu |
Where are the shining moons? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلانْجُمُ
ٱلزَّاهِرَةُ |
ayna al-anjumu
alzz¡hiratu |
Where are the brilliant stars? |
|
ايْنَ
اعْلاَمُ
ٱلدِّينِ |
ayna a`l¡mu aldd¢ni |
Where are the authorities of the
religion |
|
وَقَوَاعِدُ ٱلْعِلْمِ |
wa qaw¡`idu al`ilmi |
and the foundations of knowledge? |
|
ايْنَ
بَقِيَّةُ ٱللَّهِ |
ayna baqiyyatu all¡hi |
Where is the left by Allah |
|
ٱلَّتِي لاََ تَخْلُو مِنَ ٱلْعِتْرَةِ ٱلْهَادِيةِ |
allat¢ l¡
takhl£ min al`itrati alh¡diyati |
that is always represented by
individuals from the guiding (Prophetic) offspring? |
|
اينَ
ٱلْمُعَدُّ لِقَطْعِ دَابِرِ ٱلظَّلَمَةِ |
ayna almu`addu liqa§`i
d¡biri al¨¨alamati |
Where is the one prepared for cutting
off the roots of the wrongdoers? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُنْتَظَرُ لإِِِقَامَةِ ٱلامْتِ
وَٱلعِوَجِ |
ayna almunta¨aru
li'iq¡mati al-amti wal`iwaji |
Where is the one awaited for mending
every unevenness and crookedness? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُرْتَجىٰ لإِِزَالَةِ ٱلْجَوْرِ وَٱلْعُدْوَانِ |
ayna almurtaj¡
li'iz¡lati aljawri wal`udw¡ni |
Where is the one hoped for removing
oppression and aggression? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُدَّخَرُ لِتَجْدِيدِ ٱلْفَرَائِضِ وَٱلسُّنَنِ |
ayna almuddakharu
litajd¢di alfar¡'i¤i walssunani |
Where is the one spared for
refreshing the duties and traditions? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُتَخَيَّرُ لإِِِعَادَةِ ٱلْمِلَّةِ وَٱلشَّرِيعَةِ |
ayna almutakhayyaru
li'i`¡dati almillati walshshar¢`ati |
Where is the one chosen for restoring
the faith and the code of law? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُؤَمَّلُ لإِِِحْيَاءِ ٱلْكِتَابِ وَحُدُودِهِ |
ayna almu'ammalu
li'i¦y¡'i alkit¡bi wa ¦ud£dih¢ |
Where is the one expected to restore
to life the Book and its provisions? |
|
ايْنَ
مُحْيِي مَعَالِمِ ٱلدِّينِ وَاهْلِهِ |
ayna mu¦y¢ ma`¡limi
aldd¢ni wa ahlih¢ |
Where is the reviver of the elements
of the religion and its people? |
|
ايْنَ
قَاصِمُ شَوْكَةِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ |
ayna q¡¥imu shawkati
almu`tad¢na |
Where is the one shattering the arms
of the aggressors? |
|
ايْنَ
هَادِمُ ابْنِيَةِ
ٱلشِّرْكِ وَٱلنِّفَاقِ |
ayna h¡dimu abniyati
alshshirki walnnif¡qi |
Where is the one demolishing the
edifices of polytheism and hypocrisy? |
|
ايْنَ
مُبِيدُ اهْلِ
ٱلْفُسُوقِ |
ayna mub¢du ahli alfus£qi |
Where is the one annihilating the
people of wickedness, |
|
وَٱلْعِصْيَانِ وَٱلطُّغْيَانِ |
wal`i¥y¡ni wal§§ughy¡ni |
disobedience, and tyranny? |
|
ايْنَ
حَاصِدُ فُرُوعِ ٱلْغَيِّ وَٱلشِّقَاقِ |
ayna ¦¡¥idu fur£`i
alghayyi walshshiq¡qi |
Where is the one uprooting the
branches of error and insurgence? |
|
ايْنَ
طَامِسُ آثَارِ ٱلزَّيْغِ وَٱلاهْوَاءِ |
ayna §¡misu ¡th¡ri
alzzayghi wal-ahw¡'i |
Where is the one effacing the traces
of evasiveness and personal desires? |
|
ايْنَ
قَاطِعُ حَبَائِلِ ٱلْكِذْبِ وَٱلٱِفْتِرَاءِ |
ayna q¡§i`u ¦ab¡'ili
alkidhbi waliftir¡'i |
Where is the one severing the ropes
of fabrication and forgery? |
|
ايْنَ
مُبِيدُ ٱلْعُتَاةِ وَٱلْمَرَدَةِ |
ayna mub¢du al`ut¡ti
walmaradati |
Where is the one terminating the
insolent defiant and persistent rebels? |
|
ايْنَ
مُسْتَاصِلُ
اهْلِ
ٱلْعِنَادِ وَٱلتَّضْلِيلِ وَٱلإِلْحَادِ |
ayna musta'¥ilu ahli
al`in¡di waltta¤l¢li wal-il¦¡di |
Where is the one tearing up the
people of obstinacy, misleading, and atheism? |
|
ايْنَ
مُعِزُّ ٱلاوْلِيَاءِ
وَمُذِلُّ ٱلاعْدَاءِ |
ayna mu`izzu al-awliy¡'i
wa mudhillu al-a`d¡'i |
Where is the one ennobling the saints
and humiliating the enemies? |
|
ايْنَ
جَامِعُ ٱلْكَلِمَةِ عَلَىٰ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ |
ayna j¡mi`u alkalimati
`al¡
alttaqw¡ |
Where is the one bringing together
(all scattered) words to piety? |
|
ايْنَ
بَابُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِي مِنْهُ يُؤْتَىٰ |
ayna b¡bu all¡hi alladh¢
minhu yu't¡ |
Where is the door of Allah from which
Allah is come? |
|
ايْنَ
وَجْهُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِي إِِلَيْهِ يَتَوَجَّهُ ٱلاوْلِيَاءُ |
ayna wajhu all¡hi alladh¢
ilayhi yatawajjah£ al-awliy¡'u |
Where is the Face of Allah towards
whom the saints turn their faces. |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلسَّبَبُ ٱلْمُتَّصِلُ بَيْنَ ٱلارْضِ
وَٱلسَّمَاءِ |
ayna alssababu
almutta¥ilu bayna al-ar¤i walssam¡'i |
Where is the means of access that is
connectedly extended between the earth and the heavens. |
|
ايْنَ
صَاحِبُ يَوْمِ ٱلْفَتْحِ |
ayna ¥¡¦ibu yawmi alfat¦i |
Where is the patron of the Conquest
Day |
|
وَنَاشِرُ رَايَةِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ |
wa n¡shiru r¡yati alhud¡ |
and the stretcher of the pennon of
true guidance? |
|
ايْنَ
مُؤَلِّفُ شَمْلِ ٱلصَّلاَحِ وَٱلرِّضَا |
ayna mu'allifu shamli
al¥¥al¡¦i walrri¤¡ |
Where is the one reunifying the
dispersed parts of uprightness and contentment? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلطَّالِبُ بِذُحُولِ ٱلانْبِيَاءِ
وَابْنَاءِ
ٱلانْبِيَاءِ |
ayna al§§¡libu bidhu¦£li
al-anbiy¡'i wa abn¡'i al-anbiy¡'i |
Where is the one demanding with the
vengeance of the Prophets and their sons? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلطَّالِبُ بِدَمِ ٱلْمَقْتُولِ بِكَرْبَلاَءَ |
ayna al§§¡libu bidami
almaqt£li bikarbal¡'a |
Where is the one demanding with the
blood of the one slain in Karbal¡'? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمَنْصُورُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْهِ وَٱفْتَرَىٰ |
ayna alman¥£ru `al¡
man i`tad¡
`alayhi waftar¡ |
Where is the one granted aid against
whomever transgresses and forges lies against him? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱلْمُضْطَرُّ ٱلَّذِي يُجَابُ إِِذَا دَعَا |
ayna almu¤§arru alladh¢
yuj¡bu idh¡
da`¡ |
Where is the distressed who is
answered when he prays? |
|
ايْنَ
صَدْرُ ٱلْخَلاَئِقِ ذُوُ ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ |
ayna ¥adru alkhal¡'iqi
dh£ albirri walttaqw¡ |
Where is the forepart of the
creatures who enjoys dutifulness and piety? |
|
ايْنَ
ٱبْنُ ٱلنَّبِيِّ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ |
ayna ibnu alnnabiyyi
almu¥§af¡ |
Where is the son of the well-chosen
Prophet, |
|
وَٱبْنُ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ |
wabnu `aliyyin almurta¤¡ |
the son of `Al¢ the well-pleased, |
|
وَٱبْنُ خَدِيـجَةَ ٱلْغَرَّاءِ |
wabnu khad¢jata
algharr¡'i |
the son of Khad¢jah the glittery
lady, |
|
وَٱبْنُ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ |
wabnu f¡§imata alkubr¡ |
and the son of F¡§imah the grand
lady? |
|
بِابِي
انْتَ
وَامِّي |
bi'ab¢ anta wa umm¢ |
May my father and mother be ransoms
for you. |
|
وَنَفْسِي لَكَ ٱلْوِقَاءُ وَٱلْحِمَىٰ |
wa nafs¢ laka alwiq¡'u
wal¦im¡ |
May my soul be protection and shield
for you. |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلسَّادَةِ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ |
yabna alss¡dati
almuqarrab¢na |
O son of the chiefs drawn near! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلنُّجَبَاءِ ٱلاكْرَمِينَ |
yabna alnnujab¡'i
al-akram¢na |
O son of the most honorable,
outstanding ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْهُدَاةِ ٱلْمَهْدِيِّينَ |
yabna alhud¡ti
almahdiyy¢na |
O son of the guiding and well-guided
ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْخِيَرَةِ ٱلْمُهَذَّبِينَ |
yabna alkhiyarati
almuhadhdhab¢na |
O son of the ever-best refined ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْغَطَارِفَةِ ٱلانْجَبِينَ |
yabna algha§¡rifati
al-anjab¢na |
O son of the all-liberal and
all-select ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلاطَائِبِ
ٱلْمُطَهَّرِينَ |
yabna al-a§¡'ibi
almu§ahhar¢na |
O son of the immaculate and purified
ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْخَضَارِمَةِ ٱلْمُنْتَجَبِينَ |
yabna alkha¤¡rimati
almuntajab¢na |
O son of the ample-giving, finely
elected ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْقَمَاقِمَةِ ٱلاكْرَمِينَ |
yabna alqam¡qimati
al-akram¢na |
O son of the bounteous, most
honorable ones! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْبُدُورِ ٱلْمُنِيرَةِ |
yabna albud£ri almun¢rati |
O son of light-giving full moons! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلسُّرُجِ ٱلْمُضِيئَةِ |
yabna alssuruji
almu¤¢'ati |
O son of beaming lanterns! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلشُّهُبِ ٱلثَّاقِبَةِ |
yabna alshshuhubi
althth¡qibati |
O son of piercing flames! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلانْجُمِ
ٱلزَّاهِرَةِ |
yabna al-anjumi
alzz¡hirati |
O son of luminous stars! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلسُّبُلِ ٱلْوَاضِحَةِ |
yabna alssubuli
alw¡¤i¦ati |
O son of patent ways! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلاعْلاَمِ
ٱللاَّئِحَةِ |
yabna al-a`l¡mi
all¡'i¦ati |
O son of obvious signs! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْعُلُومِ ٱلْكَامِلَةِ |
yabna al`ul£mi alk¡milati |
O son of perfect knowledge! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلسُّنَنِ ٱلْمَشْهُورَةِ |
yabna alssunani
almashh£rati |
O son of renowned traditions! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْمَعَالِمِ ٱلْمَاثُورَةِ |
yabna alma`¡limi
alma'th£rati |
O son of well-established features! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْمُعْجِزَاتِ ٱلْمَوْجُودَةِ |
yabna almu`jiz¡ti
almawj£dati |
O son of well-known miracles! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلدَّلاَئِلِ ٱلْمَشْهُودَةِ |
yabna alddal¡'ili
almashh£dati |
O son of widely witnessed
demonstrations! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلصِّرَاطِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ |
yabna al¥¥ir¡§i
almustaq¢mi |
O son of the straight path! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ |
yabna alnnaba'i al`a¨¢mi |
O son of the great news! |
|
يَا
بْنَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي امِّ
ٱلْكِتَابِ لَدَىٰ ٱللَّهِ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ |
yabna man huwa f¢ ummi
alkit¡bi lad¡
all¡hi `aliyyun ¦ak¢mun |
O son of him who is elevated and full
of wisdom in the original of the Book with Allah. |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلآيَاتِ وَٱلْبَيِّنَاتِ |
yabna al-¡y¡ti
walbayyin¡ti |
O son of signs and manifestations! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلدَّلاَئِلِ ٱلظَّاهِرَاتِ |
yabna alddal¡'ili
al¨¨¡hir¡ti |
O son of apparent points of evidence! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْبَرَاهِينِ ٱلْوَاضِحَاتِ ٱلْبَاهِرَاتِ |
yabna albar¡h¢ni
alw¡¤i¦¡ti alb¡hir¡ti |
O son of clear-cut and dazzling
substantiations! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلْحُجَجِ ٱلْبَالِغَاتِ |
yabna al¦ujaji
alb¡ligh¡ti |
O son of conclusive arguments! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلنِّعَمِ ٱلسَّابِغَاتِ |
yabna alnni`ami
alss¡bigh¡ti |
O son of superabundant bounties! |
|
يَا
بْنَ طـٰهٰ وَٱلْمُحْكَمَاتِ |
yabna §¡h¡ walmu¦kam¡ti |
O son of ±¡h¡ and the decisive
(verses)! |
|
يَا
بْنَ يـٰس وَٱلذَّارِيَاتِ |
yabna y¡s¢n
waldhdh¡riy¡ti |
O son of Y¡s¢n and al-Dh¡riy¡t (the
winnowing winds)! |
|
يَا
بْنَ ٱلطُّورِ وَٱلْعَادِيَاتِ |
yabna al§§£ri wal`¡diy¡ti |
O son of al-±£r (the Mount of
Revelation) and al-`ªdiy¡t (the running steeds)! |
|
يَا
بْنَ مَنْ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ |
yabna man dan¡
fatadall¡ |
O son of him who drew near and then
bowed; |
|
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ اوْ
ادْنَىٰ |
fak¡na q¡ba qawsayni aw
adn¡ |
he therefore was the measure of two
bows or closer still; |
|
دُنُوّاً وَٱقْتِرَاباً مِنَ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلاعْلَىٰ |
dunuwwan waqtir¡ban min
al`aliyyi al-a`l¡ |
nearness and closeness to the Most
High and Most Exalted (Lord)! |
|
لَيْتَ شِعْرِي ايْنَ
ٱسْتَقَرَّتْ بِكَ ٱلنَّوَىٰ |
layta shi`r¢ ayna
istaqarrat bika alnnaw¡ |
How I wonder! Where has farness taken
you? |
|
بَلْ ايُّ
ارْضٍ
تُقِلُّكَ اوْ
ثَرَىٰ |
bal ayya ar¤in tuqilluka
aw thar¡ |
Or which land or soil is carrying
you? |
|
ابِرَضْوَىٰ
اوْ
غَيْرِهَا امْ
ذِي طُوَىٰٰ |
abira¤w¡ aw ghayrih¡
am dh¢ §uw¡ |
Is it on (Mount) Ra¤w¡ or elsewhere
on (Mount) Dh¢-±uw¡? |
|
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ انْ
ارَىٰ
ٱلْخَلْقَ وَلاَ تُرَىٰ |
`az¢zun `alayya an ar¡
alkhalqa wa l¡
tur¡ |
It is hard for me that I can see all
creatures but I can neither see you |
|
وَلاَ اسْمَعُ
لَكَ حَسِيساً وَلاَ نَجْوَىٰ |
wa l¡
asma`u laka ¦as¢san wa l¡
najw¡ |
nor can I hear any whisper or
confidential talk from you! |
|
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ انْ
تُحِيطَ بِكَ دُونِيَ ٱلْبَلْوَىٰ |
`az¢zun `alayya an tu¦¢§a
bika d£niya albalw¡ |
It is hard for me that ordeals
encompass you, not me |
|
وَلاَ يَنَالُكَ مِنِّي ضَجِيجٌ وَلاَ شَكْوَىٰ |
wa l¡
yan¡luka minn¢ ¤aj¢jun wa l¡
shakw¡ |
and neither cry nor complaint from me
can rally round you! |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ مِنْ
مُغَيَّبٍ لَمْ يَخْلُ مِنَّا |
binafs¢ anta min
mughayyabin lam yakhlu minn¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
although you are hidden from us, you have never forsaken us. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
مِنْ نَازِحٍ مَا نَزَحَ عَنَّا |
binafs¢ anta min n¡zi¦in
m¡
naza¦a `ann¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
although you are away, you have never been away from us. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
امْنِيَّةُ
شَائِقٍ يَتَمَنَّىٰ |
binafs¢ anta umniyyatu
sh¡'iqin yatamann¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
you are the wish of an eager |
|
مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ ذَكَرَا فَحَنَّا |
min mu'minin wa
mu'minatin dhakar¡
fa¦ann¡ |
believing man or woman who mention
you and miss you. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
مِنْ عَقِيدِ عِزٍّ لاَ يُسَامَىٰ |
binafs¢ anta min `aq¢di
`izzin l¡
yus¡m¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
you are an unmatched pioneer of dignity. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
مِنْ اثِيلِ
مَجْدٍ لاَ يُجَارَىٰ |
binafs¢ anta min ath¢li
majdin l¡
yuj¡r¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
you are an unrivaled origin of glory. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
مِنْ تِلاَدِ نِعَمٍ لاََ تُضَاهَىٰ |
binafs¢ anta min til¡di
ni`amin l¡
tu¤¡h¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
you are unparalleled center of bounties. |
|
بِنَفْسِي انْتَ
مِنْ نَصِيفِ شَرَفٍ لاََ يُسَاوَىٰ |
binafs¢ anta min na¥¢fi
sharafin l¡
yus¡w¡ |
May my soul be ransom for you; for
you are unequaled in all-inclusive honor. |
|
إِلَىٰ مَتَىٰ احَارُ
فِيكَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ وَإِِلَىٰ مَتَىٰ |
il¡
mat¡
a¦¡ru f¢ka y¡
mawl¡ya wa il¡
mat¡ |
Until when will I be bewildered about
you, O my master, and until when? |
|
وَايَّ
خِطَابٍ اصِفُ
فِيكَ وَايَّ
نَجْوَىٰ |
wa ayya khi§¡bin a¥ifu
f¢ka wa ayya najw¡ |
In what kind of statement and in what
kind of talk can I describe you? |
|
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ انْ
اجَابَ
دُونَكَ وَانَاغَىٰ |
`az¢zun `alayya an uj¡ba
d£naka wa un¡gh¡ |
It is hard for me that I can receive
answers and words, but you cannot. |
|
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ انْ
ابْكِيَكَ
وَيَخْذُلَكَ ٱلْوَرَىٰ |
`az¢zun `alayya an
abkiyaka wa yakhdhulaka alwar¡ |
It is hard for me that I weep for you
but the others disappoint you. |
|
عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ انْ
يَجْرِيَ عَلَيْكَ دُونَهُمْ مَا جَرَىٰ |
`az¢zun `alayya an
yajriya `alayka d£nahum m¡
jar¡ |
It is hard for me that what has
happened afflict you other than all the others. |
|
هَلْ مِنْ مُعِينٍ فَاطِيلَ
مَعَهُ ٱلْعَوِيلَ وَٱلْبُكَاءَ |
hal min mu`¢nin fa'u§¢la
ma`ah£ al`aw¢la walbuk¡'a |
Is there any helper with whom I may
lament and bewail as much as I wish? |
|
هَلْ مِنْ جَزُوعٍ فَاسَاعِدَ
جَزَعَهُ إِِذَا خَلاَ |
hal min jaz£`in
fa'us¡`ida jaza`ah£ idh¡
khal¡ |
Is there any aggrieved one whom I can
help in grief when he becomes tired? |
|
هَلْ قَذِيَتْ عَيْنٌ فَسَاعَدَتْهَا عَيْنِي عَلَىٰ ٱلْقَذَىٰ |
hal qadhiyat `aynun
fas¡`adat-h¡
`ayn¢ `al¡
alqadh¡ |
Is there any eye moling out and thus
my eye may help it to mol out more? |
|
هَلْ إِِلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ احْمَدَ
سَبِيلٌ فَتُلْقَىٰ |
hal ilayka yabna a¦mada
sab¢lun fatulq¡ |
Is there any way to meet you, O son
of A¦mad (the Prophet)? |
|
هَلْ يَتَّصِلُ يَوْمُنَا مِنْكَ بِعِدَةٍ فَنَحْظَىٰ |
hal yatta¥ilu yawmun¡
minka bi`idatin fana¦¨¡ |
Will our day be promised to catch
your day and we will thus achieve our hope? |
|
مَتَىٰ نَرِدُ مَنَاهِلَكَ ٱلرَّوِيَّةَ فَنَرْوَىٰ |
mat¡
naridu man¡hilaka alrrawiyyata fanarw¡ |
When will we be able to join your
refreshing springs and we will then be satiated? |
|
مَتَىٰ نَنْتَقِعُ مِنْ عَذْبِ مَائِكَ |
mat¡
nantaqi`u min `adhbi m¡'ika |
When will we quench our thirst from
your fresh water, |
|
فَقَدْ طَالَ ٱلصَّدَىٰ |
faqad §¡la al¥¥ad¡ |
because thirst has been too long? |
|
مَتَىٰ نُغَادِيكَ وَنُرَاوِحُكَ فَنُقِرَّ عَيْناً |
mat¡
nugh¡d¢ka wa nur¡wi¦uka fanuqirra `aynan |
When will we accompany you in coming
and going so that our eyes will be delighted? |
|
مَتَىٰ تَرَانَا وَنَرَاكَ وَقَدْ نَشَرْتَ لِوَاءَ ٱلنَّصْرِ تُرَىٰ |
mat¡
tar¡n¡
wa nar¡ka wa qad nasharta liw¡'a alnna¥ri
tur¡ |
When will you see us and we see you
spreading the pennon of victory? |
|
اتَرَانَا
نَحُفُّ بِكَ وَانْتَ
تَؤُمُّ ٱلْمَلَا |
atar¡n¡
na¦uffu bika wa anta ta'ummu almala'a |
Can it be that we surround you while
you are leading the groups, |
|
وَقَدْ مَلَاتَ
ٱلارْضَ
عَدْلاًَ |
wa qad mala'ta al-ar¤a
`adlan |
after you will have filled in the
earth with justice, |
|
وَاذَقْتَ
اعْدَاءَكَ
هَوَاناً وَعِقَاباً |
wa adhaqta a`d¡'aka
haw¡nan wa `iq¡ban |
tasted your enemies humiliation and
punishment, |
|
وَابَرْتَ
ٱلْعُتَاةَ وَجَحَدَةَ ٱلْحَقِّ |
wa abarta al`ut¡ta wa
ja¦adata al¦aqqi |
annihilated the insolent defiant and
the deniers of the truth, |
|
وَقَطَعْتَ دَابِرَ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ |
wa qa§a`ta d¡bira
almutakabbir¢na |
cut off the roots of the arrogant, |
|
وَٱجْتَثَثْتَ اصُولَ
ٱلظَّالِمِينَ |
wajtathathta u¥£la
al¨¨¡lim¢na |
eradicated the sources of the
wrongdoers, |
|
وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ |
wa na¦nu naq£lu al¦amdu
lill¡hi rabbi al`¡lam¢na |
and we keep on saying, “All praise be
to Allah the Lord of the worlds?” |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ انْتَ
كَشَّافُ ْٱلكُرَبِ وَٱلْبَلْوَىٰ |
all¡humma anta kashsh¡fu
alkurabi walbalw¡ |
O Allah, You are verily the reliever
from agonies and ordeals. |
|
وَإِِلَيْكَ اسْتَعْدِي
فَعِنْدَكَ ٱلْعَدْوَىٰ |
wa ilayka asta`d¢
fa`indaka al`adw¡ |
To You do I complain about the
transgressions against me, for You alone are worthy of receiving
complaints, |
|
وَانْتَ
رَبُّ ٱلآخِرَةِ وَٱلدُّنْيَا |
wa anta rabbu al-¡khirati
waldduny¡ |
and You are alone the Lord of the
Hereafter and this world. |
|
فَاغِثْ
يَا غِيَاثَ ٱلْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ عُبَيْدَكَ ٱلْمُبْتَلَىٰ |
fa'aghith y¡
ghiy¡tha almustagh¢th¢na `ubaydaka almubtal¡ |
So, (please) aid Your agonized
worthless servant, O Aide of those who seek aid, |
|
وَارِهِ
سَيِّدَهُ يَا شَدِيدَ ٱلْقُوَىٰ |
wa arih¢ sayyidah£ y¡
shad¢da alquw¡ |
grant him (i.e. Your servant) chance
to see his master, O Lord of mighty prowess, |
|
وَازِلْ
عَنْهُ بِهِ ٱلاسَىٰ
وَٱلْجَوَىٰ |
wa azil `anhu bih¢ al-as¡
waljaw¡ |
remove from him misfortune and
anguish, in the name of his master, |
|
وَبَرِّدْ غَلِيلَهُ يَا مَنْ عَلَىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ |
wa barrid ghal¢lah£ y¡
man `al¡
al`arshi istaw¡ |
and satisfy his thirst, O He Who is
established on the Throne |
|
وَمَنْ إِِلَيْهِ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰ وَٱلْمُنْتَهَىٰ |
wa man ilayhi alrruj`¡
walmuntah¡ |
and He to Whom is the return and the
final goal. |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ وَنَحْنُ عَبِيدُكَ ٱلتَّائِقُونَ إِلَىٰ وَلِيِّكَ |
all¡humma wa na¦nu
`ab¢duka altt¡'iq£na il¡
waliyyika |
O Allah, we are Your servants who are
fervently willing to meet Your vicegerent, |
|
ٱلْمُذَكِّرِ بِكَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ |
almudhakkiri bika wa
binabiyyika |
who reminds of You and Your Prophet; |
|
خَلَقْتَهُ لَنَا عِصْمَةً وَمَلاَذاً |
khalaqtah£ lan¡
`i¥matan wa mal¡dhan |
and whom You have created as haven
and refuge for us, |
|
وَاقَمْتَهُ
لَنَا قِوَاماً وَمَعَاذاً |
wa aqamtah£ lan¡
qiw¡man wa ma`¡dhan |
You have appointed as foundation and
source of protection for us, |
|
وَجَعَلْتَهُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنَّا إِِمَاماً |
wa ja`altah£ lilmu'min¢na
minn¡
im¡man |
and whom You have made to be the
leader of the believers among us. |
|
فَبَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلاَماً |
faballighhu minn¡
ta¦iyyatan wa sal¡man |
So, (please) convey to him greetings
and salutations from us, |
|
وَزِدْنَا بِذٰلِكَ يَا رَبِّ إِِكْرَاماً |
wa zidn¡
bidh¡lika y¡ rabbi ikr¡man |
endue us with more honor, O my Lord,
through that, |
|
وَٱجْعَلْ مُسْتَقَرَّهُ لَنَا مُسْتَقَرّاً وَمُقَاماً |
waj`al mustaqarrah£ lan¡
mustaqarran wa muq¡man |
decide his settlement among us to be
settlement and dwelling for us, |
|
وَاتْمِمْ
نِعْمَتَكَ بِتَقْدِيـمِكَ إِِيَّاهُ امَامَنَا |
wa atmim ni`mataka
bitaqd¢mika iyy¡hu am¡man¡ |
and perfect Your bounty by making him
occupy the leading position before us |
|
حَتَّىٰ تُورِدَنَا جِنَانَكَ |
¦att¡
t£ridan¡
jin¡naka |
so that You shall allow us to enter
the gardens of Your Paradise |
|
وَمُرَافَقَةَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ مِنْ خُلَصَائِكَ |
wa mur¡faqata
alshshuhad¡'i min khula¥¡'ika |
and to accompany the martyrs from
among Your elite ones. |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ |
all¡humma ¥alli `al¡
mu¦ammadin wa ¡li mu¦ammadin |
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon
Mu¦ammad and the Household of Mu¦ammad;() |
|
وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ جَدِّهِ وَرَسُولِكَ |
wa ¥alli `al¡
mu¦ammadin jaddih¢ wa ras£lika |
and send blessings upon Mu¦ammad his
grandfather and Your messenger; |
|
ٱلسَّيِّدِ ٱلاكْبَرِ |
alssayyidi al-akbari |
the senior master, |
|
وَعَلَىٰ ابِيهِ
ٱلسَّيِّدِ ٱلاصْغَرِ |
wa `al¡
ab¢hi alssayyidi al-a¥ghari |
upon his father the junior master, |
|
وَجَدَّتِهِ ٱلصِّدِّيقَةِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ |
wa jaddatih¢ al¥¥idd¢qati
alkubr¡ |
upon his grandmother the grand
veracious lady |
|
فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ |
f¡§imata binti mu¦ammadin |
F¡§imah the daughter of Mu¦ammad, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ |
¥ll¡
all¡h `al¢hi wa ¡lih¢ |
peace be upon him and his Household, |
|
وَعَلَىٰ مَنِ ٱصْطَفَيْتَ مِنْ آبَائِهِ ٱلْبَرَرَةِ |
wa `al¡
man i¥§afayta min ¡b¡'ih¢ albararati |
upon his dutiful fathers whom You
have chosen (over all others), |
|
وَعَلَيْهِ افْضَلَ
وَاكْمَلَ |
wa `alayhi af¤ala wa
akmala |
and upon him with such most
favorable, most perfect, |
|
وَاتَمَّ
وَادْوَمَ |
wa atamma wa adwama |
most thorough, most permanent, |
|
وَاكْثَرَ
وَاوْفَرَ |
wa akthara wa awfara |
most abundant, and most plentiful |
|
مَا
صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ احَدٍ
مِنْ اصْفِيَائِكَ |
m¡
¥allayta `al¡
a¦adin min a¥fiy¡'ika |
blessings that You have ever sent
upon any of Your elite ones |
|
وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ |
wa khiyaratika min
khalqika |
and well-chosen ones among Your
creatures. |
|
وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةً لاََ غَايَةَ لِعَدَدِهَا |
wa ¥alli `alayhi ¥al¡tan
l¡
gh¡yata li`adadih¡ |
And (please) bless him with such
blessings whose number is infinite, |
|
وَلاَ نِهَايَةَ لِمَدَدِهَا |
wa l¡
nih¡yata limadadih¡ |
whose quantity is never-ending, |
|
وَلاَ نَفَادَ لاِمَدِهَا |
wa l¡
naf¡da li'amadih¡ |
and whose time is interminable. |
|
اَللَّهُمَّ وَاقِمْ
بِهِ ٱلْحَقَّ |
all¡humma wa aqim bih¢
al¦aqqa |
O Allah! Through him, establish all
rights, |
|
وَادْحِضْ
بِهِ ٱلْبَاطِلَ |
wa ad¦i¤ bih¢ alb¡§ila |
refute the entire wrong, |
|
وَادِلْ
بِهِ اوْلِيَاءَكَ |
wa adil bih¢ awliy¡'aka |
grant triumph to Your loyalists, |
|
وَاذْلِلْ
بِهِ اعْدَاءَكَ |
wa adhlil bih¢ a`d¡'aka |
humiliate Your enemies, |
|
وَصِلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ |
wa ¥il all¡humma baynan¡
wa baynah£ |
establish, O Allah, between him and
us |
|
وُصْلَةً تُؤَدِّي إِلَىٰ مُرَافَقَةِ سَلَفِهِ |
wu¥latan tu'add¢ il¡
mur¡faqati salafih¢ |
a connection that leads us to
accompany his ancestors, |
|
وَٱجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ يَاخُذُ
بِحُجْزَتِهِمْ |
waj`aln¡
mimman ya'khudhu bi¦ujzatihim |
include us with those who will take
their vengeance |
|
وَيَمْكُثُ فِي ظِلِّهِمْ |
wa yamkuthu f¢ ¨illihim |
and keep constant under their shadow, |
|
وَاعِنَّا
عَلَىٰ تَادِيَةِ
حُقُوقِهِ إِِلَيْهِ |
wa a`inn¡
`al¡
ta'diyati ¦uq£qih¢ ilayhi |
help us fulfill our duties towards
him, |
|
وَٱلِٱجْتِهَادِ فِي طَاعَتِهِ |
walijtih¡di f¢ §¡`atih¢ |
exert all efforts in obedience to him |
|
وَٱجْتِنَابِ مَعْصِيَتِهِ |
wajtin¡bi ma`¥iyatih¢ |
and avoiding disobeying him, |
|
وَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِرِضَاهُ |
wamnun `alayn¡
biri¤¡hu |
bestow upon us with the favor of
attaining his pleasure, |
|
وَهَبْ لَنَا رَافَتَهُ
وَرَحْمَتَهُ |
wa hab lan¡
ra'fatah£ wa ra¦matah£ |
and grant us his kindness, mercy, |
|
وَدُعَاءَهُ وَخَيْرَهُ |
wa du`¡'ah£ wa khayrah£ |
prayer (for us), and his goodness |
|
مَا
نَنَالُ بِهِ سَعَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ |
m¡
nan¡lu bih¢ sa`atan min ra¦matika |
in an amount due to which we will
gain a good deal of Your mercy |
|
وَفَوْزاً عِنْدَكَ |
wa fawzan `indaka |
and achievement with You. |
|
وَٱجْعَلْ صَلاَتَنَا بِهِ مَقبُولَةً |
waj`al ¥al¡tan¡
bih¢ maqb£latan |
And, through him, render our prayers
admitted, |
|
وَذُنُوبَنَا بِهِ مَغْفُورَةً |
wa dhun£ban¡
bih¢ maghf£ratan |
our sins forgiven, |
|
وَدُعَاءَنَا بِهِ مُسْتَجَاباً |
wa du`¡'an¡
bih¢ mustaj¡ban |
and our supplications responded. |
|
وَٱجْعَلْ ارْزَاقَنَا
بِهِ مَبْسُوطَةً |
waj`al arz¡qan¡
bih¢ mabs£§atan |
And, through him too, make our
sustenance expanded for us, |
|
وَهُمُومَنَا بِهِ مَكْفِيَّةً |
wa hum£man¡
bih¢ makfiyyatan |
our distresses relieved, |
|
وَحَوَائِجَنَا بِهِ مَقْضِيَّةً |
wa ¦aw¡'ijan¡
bih¢ maq¤iyyatan |
and our needs granted. |
|
وَاقْبِلْ
إِِلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَرِيـمِ |
wa aqbil ilayn¡
biwajhika alkar¢mi |
And (please) receive us with Your
Noble Face, |
|
وَٱقْبَلْ تَقَرُّبَنَا إِِلَيْكَ |
waqbal taqarruban¡
ilayka |
approve of our seeking nearness to
You, |
|
وَٱنْظُرْ إِِلَيْنَا نَظْرَةً رَحِيمَةً |
wan¨ur ilayn¡
na¨ratan ra¦¢matan |
and have a merciful look at us |
|
نَسْتَكْمِلُ بِهَا ٱلْكَرَامَةَ عِنْدَكَ |
nastakmilu bih¡
alkar¡mata `indaka |
by which we will win perfect honor
with You; |
|
ثُمَّ لاََ تَصْرِفْهَا عَنَّا بِجُودِكَ |
thumma l¡
ta¥rifh¡
`ann¡
bij£dika |
and, after that, do not ever take it
away from us, in the name of Your magnanimity, |
|
وَٱسْقِنَا مِنْ حَوْضِ جَدِّهِ |
wasqin¡
min ¦aw¤i jaddih¢ |
and give us a drink from the Pond of
his grandfather, |
|
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ |
¥all¡
all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ |
may Allah bless him and his
Household, |
|
بِكَاسِهِ
وَبِيَدِهِ |
bika'sih¢ wa biyadih¢ |
from his own cup and with his own
hand, |
|
رَيّاً رَوِيّاً |
rayyan rawiyyan |
such a replete, satiating, |
|
هَنِيئاً سَائِغاً |
han¢'an s¡'ighan |
pleasant, and wholesome drink |
|
لاََ ظَمَا
بَعْدَهُ |
l¡
¨ama'a ba`dah£ |
after which we shall never suffer
from thirst. |
|
يَا
ارْحَمَ
ٱلرَّاحِمينَ |
y¡
ar¦ama alrr¡¦im¢na |
O most merciful of all those who show
mercy! |
