Sahifa Sajjadia In Calling down Blessings on the Bearers of the Throne and every angel brought near
الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى حَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ و كلّ مَلَكٍ مقرّبٍَ
Imam Zainul Abideen(as) son of Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as)'s supplication - 3 from Sahifa Sajjadiyah (Psalms of Islam)- In Calling down Blessings on the Bearers of the Throne and every angel brought near

اللَّهُمَّ وَحَمَلَةُ عَرْشِكَ الَّذِينَ لا يَفْتُرُونَ مِنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ،
al-laahum-ma wa h'amalatu a'r-shikal-lad'een laa yafturoona min tas-beeh'ik
1.O God, as for the Bearers of Your Throne, who never flag in glorifying You,

وَلا يَسْـأَمُـونَ مِنْ تَقْـدِيْسِكَ،
wa laa yas-amoona min taq-deesik
2.never become weary of calling You holy,

وَلا يَسْتَحسِرُونَ مِنْ عِبَادَتِكَ،
wa laa yas-tah'-siroona min i'baadatik
3.never tire of worshipping You,

وَلاَ يُؤْثِرُونَ التَّقْصِيرَ عَلَى الْجِدِّ فِي أَمْرِكَ،
wa laa yoo-thiroonat-taq-s'eera a'laal-jid-di feee am-rik
4.never prefer curtailment over diligence in Your command,

وَلا يَغْفُلُونَ عَنِ الْوَلَهِ إلَيْكَ.
wa laa yagh-fuloona a'nil-walaheee ilay-k
5.and are never heedless of passionate love for You;

وَإسْرافِيْلُ صَاحِبُ الصُّوْرِ، الشَّاخِصُ الَّذِي يَنْتَظِرُ
wa is-raafeelu s'aah'ibus'-s'oorish-shaakhis'ul-lad'ee yantaz'iru
6.Seraphiel, the Owner of the Trumpet, fixed in his gaze, awaiting

مِنْكَ الاذْنَ وَحُلُولَ الامْرِ، فَيُنَبِّهُ بِالنَّفْخَةِ
minkal-id'-na wa h'uloolal-am-ri fayunab-bihoo bin-naf-khati
7.Your permission and the descent of the Command, that he may arouse through the Blast

صَرْعى رَهَائِنِ الْقُبُورِ. وَمِيكَآئِيلُ ذُو الْجَاهِ عِنْدَكَ،
s'ar-a'a rahaaa-inil-quboor wa meekaaa-eelu d'ool-jaahee i'ndaka
8.the hostages thrown down in the graves; Michael, possessor of standing with You

وَالْمَكَانِ الرَّفِيعِ مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ.
wal-makaanir-rafeei' min t'aaa'tik
9.and a raised up place in Your obedience;

وَجِبْريلُ الامِينُ عَلَى وَحْيِكَ،
wa jib-reel al-ameenu a'laa wah'-yik
10.Gabriel, entrusted with Your revelation,

الْمُطَاعُ فِي أَهْلِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ،
al-mut'aau' feee ah-li samaawaatik
11.obeyed by the inhabitants of Your heavens,

الْمَكِينُ لَدَيْكَ، الْمُقَرَّبُ عِنْدَكَ،
al-makeenu laday-kal-muqar-rabu i'ndak
12.distinguished in Your Presence, brought nigh to You;

وَالرُّوحُ الَّذِي هُوَ عَلَى مَلائِكَةِ الْحُجُبِ،
war-roohool-lad'ee huwa a'laa malaaa-ikatil-h'ujub
13.the spirit who is over the angels of the veils;

وَالرُّوحُ الَّذِي هُوَ مِنْ أَمْرِكَ.
war-roohool-lad'ee huwa min am-rik
14.and the spirit who is of Your command -

أَللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عليهم وَعَلَى الْمَلاَئِكَـةِ
al-laahum-ma fas'al-li a'lay-him wa a'laal-malaaa-ikati
15.O God! bless them and the angels below them:

الَّـذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ مِنْ سُكَّـانِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ
lad'eena min doonihim min suk-kaani samaawaatik
16.the residents in Your heavens,

وَأَهْلِ الامَانَةِ عَلَى رِسَالاَتِكَ،
wa ah-lil-amaanati a'laa risaalaatik
17.those entrusted with Your messages,

وَالَّذِينَ لا تَدْخُلُهُمْ سَأْمَةٌ مِنْ دؤُوب ،
wal-lad'eena laa tad-khuluhum saa-matum-min du-oob
18.those who become not wearied by perseverance,

وَلاَ إعْيَاءٌ مِنْ لُغُوب وَلاَ فُتُورٌ،
wa laaa ia'-yaaa-um-mil-lughoobiw-wa laa futoor
19.or exhausted and flagged by toil,

وَلاَ تَشْغَلُهُمْ عَنْ تَسْبِيحِكَ الشَّهَوَاتُ،
wa laa tash-ghaluhum a'n tas-beeh'ikash-shahawaat
20.whom passions distract not from glorifying You,

وَلا يَقْطَعُهُمْ عَنْ تَعْظِيمِكَ سَهْوُ الْغَفَـلاَتِ،
wa laa yaq-t'au'hum a'n taa'-z'eemika sah-wl-ghafalaat
21.and whose magnification of You is never cut off by the inattention of heedless moments;

الْخُشَّعُ الابْصارِ فلا يَرُومُونَ النَّظَرَ إلَيْكَ ،
al-khush-shau'l-ab-s'aari falaa yaroomoonan-naz'ara ilay-k
22.their eyes lowered, they do not attempt to look at You;

النَّواكِسُ الاذْقانِ الَّذِينَ قَدْ طَالَتْ رَغْبَتُهُمْ فِيمَا لَدَيْكَ
an-nawaakisul-ad'-qaanil-lad'eena qad t'aalat ragh-batuhum
23.their chins bowed, they have long desired what is with You;

الْمُسْتَهْتِرُونَ بِذِكْرِ آلائِكَ
feemaa laday-k al-mus-tah-taroona bid'ik-ri aaalaaa-ik
24.unrestrained in mentioning Your boons,

وَالْمُتَوَاضِعُونَ دُونَ عَظَمَتِكَ وَجَلاَلِ كِبْرِيآئِكَ
wal-mutawaaz''iu'wna doona a'z'amatika wajalaali kib-reeaaa-ik
25.they remain humble before Your mightiness and the majesty of Your magnificence;

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ إذَا نَظَرُوا إلَى جَهَنَّمَ تَزْفِرُ عَلَى أَهْلِ مَعْصِيَتِكَ:
wal-lad'eena yaqooloona id'aa naz'aroo ilaa jahan-nama taz-firu a'laaa ah-li maa'-s'eeatika:
26.those who say when they look upon Gehenna roaring over the people who disobeyed You:

سُبْحَانَكَ مَا عَبَدْنَاكَ حَقَّ عِبَـادَتِكَ.
sub-h'aanaka maa a'bad-naaka h'aq-qa i'baadatik
27.'Glory be to You, we have not worshipped You with the worship You deservest!'

فَصَـلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَعَلَى الرَّوْحَانِيِّينَ مِنْ مَلائِكَتِكَ،
fas'al-li a'lay-him wa a'laa r-raw-h'aanee-yeena mim-malaaa-ikatik
28.Bless them, and Your angels who are the Reposeful,

وَ أهْلِ الزُّلْفَةِ عِنْدَكَ، وَحُمَّالِ الْغَيْبِ إلى رُسُلِكَ،
wa ah-liz-zul-fati i'ndak wa h'um-maalil-ghay-bi ilaa rusulik
29.those of proximity to You, those who carry the unseen to Your messengers,

وَالْمُؤْتَمَنِينَ على وَحْيِكَ وَقَبائِلِ الْمَلائِكَةِ الَّذِينَ اخْتَصَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ،
wal-moo-tamaneena a'laa wah'-yik wa qabaaa-ilil-malaaa-ikatil-lad'een akh-tas'as'-tahum linaf-sik
30.those entrusted with Your revelation, the tribes of angels whom You hast singled out for Yourself,

وَأَغْنَيْتَهُمْ عَنِ الطَّعَامِ والشَّرَابِ بِتَقْدِيْسِكَ،
wa agh-nay-tahum a'nit'-t'aa'ami wash-sharaabi bitaq-deesik
31.freed from need for food and drink by their calling You holy,

وَأسْكَنْتَهُمْ بُطُونَ أطْبَـاقِ سَمَاوَاتِكَ،
wa as-kantahum but'oona at'-baaqi samaawaatik
32.and made to dwell inside Your heavens' layers,

وَالّذينَ عَلَى أرْجَآئِهَا إذَا نَزَلَ الامْرُ بِتَمَامِ وَعْدِكَ،
wal-lad'eena a'laaa ar-jaaa-ihaaa id'aa nazalal-am-ru bitamaami waa'-dik
33.those who will stand upon the heavens' borders when the Command descends to complete Your promise,

وَخزّانِ الْمَطَرِ وَزَوَاجِرِ السَّحَابِ،
wa khuz-zaanil-mat'ari wa zawaajiris-sah'aab
34.the keepers of the rain, the drivers of the clouds,

وَالّذِي بِصَوْتِ زَجْرِهِ يُسْمَعُ زَجَلُ ألرُّعُوْدِ،
wal-lad'ee bis'aw-ti zaj-rihee yus-mau' zajalur-ruu'wd
35.him at whose driving's sound is heard the rolling of thunder,

وَإذَا سَبَحَتْ بِهِ حَفِيفَةُ السّحَـابِ الْتَمَعَتْ صَوَاعِقُ الْبُرُوقِ.
wa id'aa sabah'at bihee h'afeefatus-sah'aabil-tamaa't s'awaai'qul-burooq
36.and when the reverberating clouds swim before his driving, bolts of lightning flash;

وَمُشَيِّعِيْ الْثَلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ. وَالْهَابِطِينَ مَعَ قَطْرِ الْمَطَر إَذَا نَزَلَ،
wa mushay-yie'eth-thal-ji wal-barad wal-haabit'eena maa' qat'-ril-mat'ari id'aa nazal
37.the escorts of snow and hail, the descenders with the drops of rain when they fall,

وَالْقُوَّامِ عَلَى خَزَائِنِ الرّيَاحِ،
wal-qoo-waami a'laa khazaaa-inir-reeaah'
38.the watchers over the treasuries of the winds,

وَ المُوَكَّلِينَ بِالجِبَالِ فَلا تَزُولُ.
wal-muwak-kaleena bil-jibaali falaa tazool
39.those charged with the mountains lest they disappear,

وَالَّذِينَ عَرَّفْتَهُمْ مَثَاقِيلَ الْمِياهِ،
wal-lad'eena a'r-raf-tahum mathaaqeelal-meeaahee
40.those whom You hast taught the weights of the waters

وَكَيْلَ مَا تَحْوِيهِ لَوَاعِجُ الامْطَارِ وَعَوَالِجُهَا،
wa kay-la maa tah'-weehee lawaai'jul-am-t'aari wa a'waalijuhaa
41.and the measures contained by torrents and masses of rain;

وَرُسُلِكَ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ إلَى أهْلِ الارْضِ بِمَكْرُوهِ مَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ الْبَلاءِ،
wa rusulika minal-malaaa-ikati ilaaa ah-lil-ar-z''i bimak-roohee maa yanzilu minal-balaaa
42.the angels who are Your messengers to the people of the earth with the disliked affliction that comes down

وَمَحْبُوبِ الرَّخَآءِ، والسَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ اَلبَرَرَةِ،
wa mah'-boobir-rakhaaa-i was-safaratil-kiraamil-bararah
43.and the beloved ease; the devoted, noble scribes,

وَالْحَفَظَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْكَاتِبِينَ، وَمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَأعْوَانِهِ،
wal-h'afaz'atil-kiraamil-kaatibeen wa malakil-maw-ti wa aa'-waanih
44.the watchers, noble writers, the angel of death and his helpers,

وَمُنْكَر وَنَكِير، وَرُومَانَ فَتَّانِ الْقُبُورِ،
wa munkariw-wa nakeer wa roomaana fat-taanil-quboor
45.Munkar and Nakir, Rumaan, the tester in the graves,

وَالطَّائِفِينَ بِالبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ، وَمَالِك،
wat'-t'aaa-ifeena bil-bay-til-maa'-moor wa maaliki
46.the circlers of the Inhabited House, Malik

وَالْخَزَنَةِ، وَرُضْوَانَ، وَسَدَنَةِ الْجِنَانِ
maalikiw-wal-khazanah wa riz''-waana wa sadanatil-jinaan
47.and the guardians, Ridwan and the gatekeepers of the gardens,

وَالَّذِيْنَ لاَ يَعْصُوْنَ اللّهَ مَا أمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ.
wal-lad'eena (laa yaa'-s'oonal-laaha maaa amarahum wa yaf-a'loona maa yoo-maroon)
48.those who "disobey not God in What He commands them and do What they are commanded" (66:6);

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ: سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الـدّارِ.
wal-lad'eena yaqooloona (salaamun a'lay-kum bimaa s'abar-tum fania'-ma u'q-baad-daar)
49.those who say, "Peace be upon you, for that you were patient - and fair is the Ultimate Abode" (13:24);

والزّبانيةُ الذّينَ إذَا قِيْـلَ لَهُمْ: خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوْهُ
waz-zabaaneeatil-lad'eena id'aa qeela lahum-: (khud'oohoo faghul-loohoo
50.the Zabaniya, who, when it is said to them, "take him, and fetter him,

ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوْهُ ابْتَدَرُوهُ سِرَاعاً وَلَمْ يُنْظِرُوهُ.
* thum-mal-jah'eema s'al-loohoo) ib-tadaroohoo siraaa'w-walam yunz'irooh
51.then roast him in hell" (69:30), hasten to accomplish it, nor do they give him any respite;

وَمَنْ أوْهَمْنَا ذِكْرَهُ، وَلَمْ نَعْلَمْ مَكَانَهُ مِنْكَ،
wa man aw-ham-naa d'ik-rahoo wa lam naa'-lam makaanahoo minka
52.him whom we have failed to mention, not knowing his place with You,

وَبأيِّ أمْر وَكَّلْتَهُ. وَسُكّانُ الْهَوَآءِ وَالارْضِ وَالمآءِ،
wa biy-yi am-riw-wak-kal-tah wa suk-kaanil-hawaaa-i wal-ar-z''i wal-maaa-i
53.nor with which command You hast charged him; and the residents in the air, the earth, and the water,

وَمَنْ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ
wa mam-min-hum a'laal-khal-q fas'al-li a'lay-him
54.and those of them charged over the creatures; bless them

يَوْمَ تَأْتي كُلُّ نَفْس مَعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ،
yaw-ma taa-tee kul-lu naf-sim-maa'haa saaa-iqoo-washaheed
55.on the day when "every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness" (50:21),

وَصَلّ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلاَةً تَزِيدُهُمْ كَرَامَةً عَلى كَرَامَتِهِمْ،
wa s'al-li a'lay-him s'alaatan tazeeduhum karaamatan a'laa karaamatihim-
56.and bless them with a blessing that will add honour to their honour

وَطَهَارَةً عَلَى طَهَارَتِهِمْ
wa t'ahaaratan a'laa t'ahaaratihim
57.and purity to their purity.

اللّهُمَّ وَإذَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى مَلاَئِكَتِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ،
al-laahum-ma wa id'aa s'al-lay-ta a'laa malaaa-ikatika
58.O God, and when You blessest Your angels and Your messengers

وَبَلَّغْتَهُمْ صَلاَتَنَا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَصَلِّ عَلَينا
warusulika wa bal-lagh-tahum s'alaatanaa a'lay-him fas'al-li a'lay-na
59.and You extendest our blessings to them, bless us

بِمَا فَتَحْتَ لَنَا مِنْ حُسْنِ الْقَوْلِ فِيْهِمْ إنَّكَ جَوَاْدٌ كَرِيمٌ .
bimaa fatah'-ta lanaa min h'us-nil-qaw-li feehim- in-naka jawaadun kareem
60.through the good words about them which You hast opened up for us! You art Munificent, Generous.
