Salat-Dua Azumal Bala Imam Mahdi(ajtfs)
Sahifa Mahdi(ajtfs)

Shaykh Tabarsi (a.r.), the renowned commentator of the Holy Quran, has recorded this supplication in his book ‘Kunooz al-Najaah’ and says, ‘This supplication was taught by our master Saaheb al-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.) to Abul Hasan Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Abi al-Lais in the city of Baghdad at the Graves of Quraish ( مقابر قريش ), where the latter had taken refuge, due to fear of death. On account of the blessings of this supplication, he was saved.
This dua'a is attributed to the living Imam Mehdi (atfs). It brings immediate help from our living imam. It is recommended to be recited often by Ulama .Kafami says in his book Baladul Amin that if a wrongfully confined prisoner recites this dua'a he will soon be set free.
If a person find himself surrounded by misfortunes or intrigues he must recite this dua'a to come through tight situations, deadlock and crises.

Du‘a’ al-Faraj- Invocation for the Advent of the Imam of the Age (‘atfs)
Bismillahi ’r-rahmani ’r-rahim
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

Ilahi ‘azuma’l-bala’u wa bariha’l-khafa’
O my Lord! The calamity has aggravated; the absence prolonged;

Wa’nkashafa’l-ghita’u wa’nqata‘a’r-raja’
The curtain of modesty has been lifted; hope has been curtailed;

Wa daqati’l-ardu wa muni‘ati’s-sama’
The earth has been narrow; and sky has been denied.

Wa anta’l-musta‘anu wa ilayka’l-mushtaka
And You are the One from whom help is sought and complaints are made

Wa ‘alayka al-mu‘awwalu fi’sh-shiddati wa’r-rakha’
And in You we trust in the times of difficulty.

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ali Muhammad
O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad (S) and the progeny of Muhammad (S),

Uli’l-amri’l-ladhina faradta ‘alayna ta‘atahum
The possessors of authority whose obedience you have enjoined upon us

Wa ‘arraftana bidhalika manzilatahum fafarrij ‘anna bi-haqqihim farajan ‘ajilan qariban kalamhi’l-basari aw huwa aqrab
And by that made us aware of their position. Then make open for us, by their truth, an immediate opening, immediate as a wink or sooner.

Ya Muhammadu ya ‘Aliyyu ya Muhammad
O Muhammad! O ‘Ali! O ‘Ali! O Muhammad!

Ikfiyani fainnakuma kafiyani wa’n-surani fainnakuma nasiran
Suffice me both of you as both of you are sufficient.Help me—two of you—for you are my helpers.

Ya mawlana ya sahiba’z-zaman
O our Master, O Master of the Time!

Al-ghawtha’l-ghawtha’l-ghawth,
Help! Help!

Adrikni adrikni adrikni
Rescue me! Rescue me! Rescue me!

As-sa‘ata’s-sa‘ata’s-sa‘ah
This moment! This moment! This moment!

You may then slap your right thigh with your hand three times and, at each time, say the following words:

Al-‘ajala’l-‘ajala’l-‘ajal
Hasten, hasten, hasten!

O Most Merciful of the Merciful,For the sake of Muhammad (S) and his holy progeny.

Salat- Dua 2 for Great Calamities through another narration
Sayyed Ibn Taawoos (a.r.) mentions, ‘The prayers of al-Hujjah al- Qaem (a.t.f.s.) consists of two rak’ats.
In each unit, Surah al-Hamd is recited, and the verse below within Sura Hamd is repeated 100 times;
iyyaka na`budu wa-iyyaka nasta`in(u)
You do we worship, and Yours aid we seek.

After Sura Hamd, recite Surah al-Tawheed once and then recite the second unit in the same manner. After completion of the Salat recite this Dua faraj

and hasten their Relief through the Rising Imam among them;

and make manifest Your fortifying him.

The dua Azumal Bala above is also recited after the salat - Prayer of the Twelfth Imam for fulfillment of needs[1]Al-Imam al-Mahdi wa Zuhoorehi, As-Sayyid Jawwad ash-Shahroodi, Pg. 335
See next tab

For Fulfillment of needs.
One who has a need should perform Ghusl on Friday eve after midnight, and come to the place of prayers and perform two rakats (units) prayer and in the first rakat he should recite Surah al-Hamd and when he reaches: “Iyyaka Na’budoo we iyyaka Nastaeen”, ‘ ايّك نعبدُ و ايك نستعي ’he should repeat this a hundred times and continue with the Surah and after that recite Surah Tawheed once.
Then he should perform the Ruku (bowing) and Sajdahs (prostration) and therein recite the recitations of Ruku and Sajdah seven times.
Then recite the second rakat also in the same manner and then recite the following supplication. The Almighty Allah would fulfill his needs, whatever sort of a person he is, however he should not be of those who have broken off relation with his relatives. The supplication is as follows:

Wa in taghfirlee wa tarh’amnee fa-innaka jawaadun kareemun yaa kareemun yaa kareem.<
O Allah, if I obey You, then the essence of praise is for You, and if I disobey You then the Proof is for You. From You is comfort and from You is success. Glory be to the one who has bestowed favors and thanked. Glory be to the One who commanded and forgave. O Allah, if I am disobedient to you, then I indeed I have also obeyed You in those matters that You prefer most, and it is belief (faith) in You. I have not taken for You any son and neither have I considered anyone Your partner even then the favor is from you upon me and there is no favor from me upon You. Also I have indeed disobeyed You O My Allah, this disobedience was not due to pride or due to leaving Your worship or due to the denial of Allah. It is only that I have obeyed my desires and the Satan misled me. Then Your proof is complete upon me and Your decision. Then if You punish me for my sins, You would not be unjust to me. But if You forgive me and have mercy on me, then indeed You are the Generous, the Kind, O Kind O Kind …. (till the breath breaks)

Then say after this:
Yaa aaminam min kulli shai-inw wa kullu shai-im minka khaa-ifun h’adhirun as-aluka bi-amnika min kulli shai-inw wa khaufi kulli shai-im minka an tus’alliya a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammad. Wa antut’ t’iyanee amaanal linafsee wa ahlee wa waladee wa saa-iri maa an-a’mta bihi a’layya h’atta laa akhaafa wa laa ah’dhara min shai-in abadan innaka a’laa kulli shai-in qadeer. Wa h’asbunallaahu wa ni’mal wakeel. Yaa kaafiya ibraaheema numrooda wa yaa kaafiya moosaa fira’una as-aluka antus’alliya a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammadinw wa antakfiyanee sharra fulaanabna fulaan.
O One Who is safe from everything and everything is fearful of Him. I ask in the name of this safety and in the name of the fearfulness of everything that You bless Muhammad and the Progeny of Muhammad and accord me safety in my self, my family and my children, so in me also no fear remains of anything, ever. You are powerful over everything and Allah is sufficient for us and the best of the executors. O one who sufficed for Ibrahim against Nimrod and sufficed for Musa against Pharaoh. I beseech You that You bless Muhammad and the Progeny of Muhammad and be sufficient for me against the mischief of the enemy. (Then soon Allah would prevent the mischief of one whose mischief one fears)

Then prostrate and ask for the needs, and beseech Allah. No believing man or woman ever recites this sincerely except that the doors of heavens open to fulfill his or her needs and it will be accepted at that very moment at the place he or she is and this is a blessing of Allah upon the people.

From An Najmuth Saaqib

Dua Faraj 2 The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said: Did I not teach you the words, which Jibraeel had brought as gift for me? They are nineteen words, which are written on the forehead of Jibraeel (a.s.). From them four and four are written on the forehead of Mikaeel; four are written on the forehead of Israfeel (a.s.); four are inscribed around the Kursi and three are inscribed around the circle of the Arsh. No one in distress prays through those words, and no deprived person worships through those words, and no distressed man invokes through them, and no one is fearful of a tyrant ruler or a satan, but that the Almighty Allah suffices him against everything. The supplication is as follows:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Supporter of the unsupported, O Helper of the helpless, O Protector of the unprotected, O Shield for the defenseless, O Hearer of the unheard appeal, O the treasure for Whom there is no treasure, O Pride of those without pride, O Honor of the honorless, O the Merciful Forgiver O the best of the recompensers. O helper of the weak, O treasure for the poor, O the greatest of hopes, O the savior of the drowning one O the savior of those being destroyed O favor-giving O beautifier, O giver of bounties, O favorer, I ask the one except whom there is no God. For whom prostrate the blackness of the night and the whiteness of the morning and the rays of the sun and the rays of the sun; and the light of the sun. and the light of the moon and the sound of the water, and the rustling of the tree. O Allah, O Beneficent, O One with majesty and nobility.
Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) named this supplication as Dua Faraj.
Dua Faraj, which the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) taught to a person for removing sorrow and poverty
Third: Shaykh Ibrahim Kafami has narrated in Jannatul Waqiya that a man came to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and said: O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.), indeed, I was rich, after that I became poor; I was in health; after that I became sick; I was accepted by the people after that I became unpopular; and I was light upon their hearts; thus I became serious and previously I was happy; I fell into hardships; the earth became narrow for me due to that and I was waiting for happy times again for seeking sustenance. I did not find anything with which to gain strength; as if my name was erased from the register of sustenance. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) told him: O man, perhaps you will use the inheritance of sorrow? He asked: What is the inheritance of sorrow? He replied: May be you tie the turban on the head in the seated position and wear the lower garment in the standing position or chew at your nails or wipe your cheek with are skirt or urinate in stagnant water or sleep in the head down position. I asked: I commit these acts. His Eminence said: Adopt the path of sincerity and purify your conscience and recite the following supplication and it is Dua Faraj In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O my God, all Chapter 7: Incidents of those who met him in Major Occultation 735 ambitions of expectations are disappointed, except those addressed to You, all resolute determinations are paralyzed, except those relied on You and all reason-based tendencies are wasted, except those directed to you. So, You are the ultimate hope and to you is the resort. O He Who is the noblest objective and the most magnanimous desired. I am fleeing to You from myself. O Shelter of those, who flee overburdened with the heavy loads of sins, carrying my sins on my back, I cannot find any interceder for me, except that I know for sure that You are the nearest of all those who are hoped by beseechers and of all those whose donations are expected by the desirous. O He Who his split the intellects on the recognition of Him, made tongues articulate with praising Him and made that which He has conferred upon His servants enough means for the fulfillment of their duties towards Him; (please) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household, do not give Satan any way (of success) over my reason and do not give wrongness a way to reach my deeds. And open for me the good of the world O the giver of good.11 Behaarul Anwaar, vol. 84, p. 281
Fourth: The respected scholar, Sayyid Ali Khan, in his book of Kalematut Tayyab has narrated from his grandfather that the following is Dua Faraj: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Allah, O the Loving, the Loving. O Lord of the Glorious Throne. O He, Who is the mighty doer of whatever He wills, I ask You through the light of Your face; through which You raised the pillars of Your Arsh. And through Your power, which You destined for all Your creatures and through Your mercy, which encompasses all the things. There is no god, except You. O the initiator and the returner. There is no god, except You. O the God of humans O the one of great consequence. From You is the entreaty and flight is towards You. Which is there with wideness. O refuge-giver give refuge to me. O refuge-giver give refuge to me. O refugegiver give refuge to me.
Fifth: Dua Faraj narrated in the book of Mafatihun Najaah of Mohaqqiq Sabzawari and its initial words being: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. O Allah! Indeed I ask You O Allah, O Allah, O Allah. O God of the entire Creation, O He, Who is high and dominant, O He, Who is masterful and powerful, O He, Who is hidden and aware, O He, Who is worshipped and who appreciates, O He, Who is Chapter 7: Incidents of those who met him in Major Occultation 737 disobeyed and yet forgives, O He, Whom thought cannot encompass, O He, Whom eyes cannot see, O He, from Whom nothing is concealed, O Provider of sustenance to mankind, O He, Who ordained all destinies. And so on, and it is a long Dua.
