Salawaat Abul Hasan Zarrab Al Isfahani

 

This is ascribed to Abu’l-°asan al-®arr¡b al-I¥fah¡n¢. Shaykh al-±£s¢ and Sayyid Ibn ±¡w£s have included this famous invocation with the recommended rites of Friday afternoons. Confirming its significance and writing down the series of its reporters, Sayyid Ibn ±¡w£s adds, “This invocation is reported from our master Imam al-Mahd¢, peace be upon him. As for Shaykh al-±£s¢, he says, “This invocation is reported from the Patron of the Age, Imam al-Mahd¢, peace be upon him. It was shown to Abu’l-°asan al-®arr¡b in Makkah.”

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

O Allah send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.

O Allah! Send blessings on Muhammad, the Chief of the Messengers the Last (in the series) of the Prophets, the decisive argument of the Lord of the worlds, distinguished by the convenant, stays chosen continually for ever and ever. Pulled out from all calamities, kept free from all defects, giving hope of everlasting happiness; the assured hope whom the religion of Allah has given full powers to recommend and intercede.
O Allah! Let his work be surpassingly eminent in glory, towering over, dominating, let his leadership make a deep lasting impression upon (mankind), spread his theory far and wide, make known loud and clear his rank, highest and finest, make his light shine bright, give beauty and grace to his appearance bestow upon him superabundant completeness, wisdom, status, ways and means; and highest position, and raise him to the most praiseworthy station; found his position enviable the people of his time and those who came after; and send blessings on the commander of the faithfuls, the inheritor of the Messengers, the Leader of those, who in ardent longing cross (barriers) in leaps and bounds, the chief of the “appointed Guides”.

O Allaah, send blessings on Muhammad and on his “Ahlul Bayt” (the people of the House), the Leader guides, the true scholars, the virtuous God fearing, the mainstay Thy religion depends upon, the essential foundation on which thy Oneness rests, the interpreters of Thy revealed words, Thy conclusive argument over the mankind, Thy representatives on the earth whom Thou selected in preference over all Thy servants, recognized and authorized them to serve Thy religion, specifically chose them to have knowledge about Thee, made them bright, all important, great and glorious through Thy generosity. Covered them from all sides with Thy love and mercy, made available for them Thy bounties, well- versed and well- grounded they are in Thy wisdom, wrapped them up in Thy Light, they occupy the highest place and rank in Thy Kingdom protected them from every side Thy Angels, distinguished them with Thy Prophet, Thy blessings be on him and on his children. O Allaah! Bless Muhammad and them, (with) blessings, pure, rich, ever growing, a great many, for ever and ever, the best, cannot be surveyed except by Thee, cannot be fully defined except by Thy wisdom, cannot be recounted by any one other than Thee. O Allaah ! And send blessings on Thy kept alive delegated authority guardian of the “way of Life” ordained by Thee, who claims authority under Thy command, the straight path leading to Thee, the decisive proof from Thee over the mankind, Thy representative on the earth, Thy evidence made visible to Thy servants. O Allah! Go all out to make available “defense in depth” for him, prolong his stay here, by continuing his presence make this would beautiful. O Allaah! Keep him safe from the ill-will of those who feel resentful towards him, create for him favourable circumstances, free from the evil of the deceitful, put a stop to the conspiracies hatched against him by the unjust, save him from the clever tricks of the tyrants. O Allah ! set in motion at once his wish and desires, and of his descendents, his followers who love and obey him, and the flock under his protection affectionately attached to him and the common people, his whole mission, and all the human beings, which will bring him near to his purpose: make him advance to the reality he has in mind, let him achieve in full, in the best manner, that which he hopes to do in this world and the Hereafter. Verily Thou art able to do all things. O Allaah! Put back, through him in original form that which has been uprooted from Thy religion, put in order again through him the confusion created in Thy Book. Make clear, through him, the distortions made in Thy commandments. So that Thy religion regains its true spirit, on his hands, blooming and full of tenderness, progressive, up to date, liberated, saviour, without doubts and uncertainties, without suspicions and obscurities, there being no falsehood lingering around him, nor any subversive activities in his presence. O Allaah ! Enlighten the world with his truth and make oppression and tyranny take fright and flee, put a stop to reversal and subversion by relying upon him, once for all, pull down the edifice of corrupt wickedness for ever by giving him a free hand, through him break up entirely totalitarianism, let him deal the death-blow and wipe out the existence of the damned and accursed. And put an end to oppression perpetrated by the unjust tyrants, and set up justice and fairplay, put in force his “rule of life” far and wide, every where, over all jurisdictions, make all authorities serve to promote his sovereignty. O Allaah, whose runs away from him should be discredited and put to shame, whose undermines his mission should be eliminated, whose looks upon him with envy, and quarrel, may be cornered, back to the wall, whose knows but denies his right may rot and disintegrate, make lighter and easy his mission, make haste to set in motion blossoming of his truth, let his quite glory shine in full brightness.
O Allah! Send blessings on Muhammad, the Chosen, on Ali, who pleased (Allaa) better than others, on Fatimah, the bright and beautiful, on Hasan, the agreeing, on Husayn, the refined, and on all the rest of the closely connected appointed guardians, the favourite confidants, the signs leading unto guidance, the lighthouse of piety and wisdom, the trustworthy and safe handle, the strong rope, the right path, Bless Thy dearest intimate friend, the authority Thou promised to protect, and (bless) the Imams, his children spread their creed, build up their cause, let their thoughts and deeds reach far and wide, to the four corners of the world, in the matter of religion, in the wordly affairs and at the time of Final Judgment, verily Thou art able to do all things. O Allah! Send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismill¡hi alrra¦m¡ni alrra¦¢mi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ سَيِّدِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin sayyidi almursal¢na

O Allah, (please) send blessings to Mu¦ammad, the master of the messengers (of Allah),

وَخَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

wa kh¡tami alnnabiyy¢na

the seal of the Prophets,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the Argument of the Lord of the worlds [against His creatures]

ٱلْمُنْتَجَبِ فِي ٱلْمِيثَاقِ

almuntajabi f¢ alm¢th¡qi

who had been elected [for Prophethood] since the Covenant

ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ فِي ٱلظِّلاَلِ

almu¥§af¡ f¢ al¨¨il¡li

and chosen since the World of Shadows,

ٱلْمُطَهَّرِ مِنْ كُلِّ آفَةٍ

almu§ahhari min kulli ¡fatin

and who is purified from all defects

ٱلْبَرِيءِ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْبٍ

albar¢'i min kulli `aybin

and freed from all deficiencies,

ٱلْمُؤَمَّلِ لِلنَّجَاةِ

almu'ammali lilnnajati

and who is hoped for salvation

ٱلْمُرْتَجَىٰ لِلشَّفَاعَةِ

almurtaj¡ lilshshaf¡`ati

and expected for intercession,

ٱلْمُفَوَّضِ إِلَيْهِ دِينُ ٱللَّهِ

almufawwa¤i ilayhi d¢nu all¡hi

and to whom the religion of Allah is delegated.

اَللَّهُمَّ شَرِّفْ بُنْيَانَهُ

all¡humma sharrif buny¡nah£

O Allah, (please) confer honor upon his structure,

وَعَظِّمْ بُرْهَانَهُ

wa `a¨¨im burh¡nah£

ennoble his authority,

وَافْلِحْ حُجَّتَهُ

wa aflij ¦ujjatah£

make successful his cogency,

وَٱرْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ

warfa` darajatah£

lift up his rank,

وَاضِئْ نُورَهُ

wa a¤i' n£rah£

light up his illumination,

وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهَهُ

wa bayyi¤ wajhah£

make his face glow with whiteness,

وَاعْطِهِ ٱلْفَضْلَ وَٱلْفَضِيلَةَ

wa a`§ih¢ alfa¤la walfa¤¢lata

grant him merit, virtue,

وَٱلْمَنْزِلَةَ وَٱلْوَسِيلَةَ

walmanzilata walwas¢lata

[supreme] position, [right of] mediation,

وَٱلدَّرَجَةَ ٱلرَّفِيعَةَ

walddarajata alrraf¢`ata

and sublime rank,

وَٱبْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً

wab`athhu maq¡man ma¦m£dan

and send him a praiseworthy status

يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ ٱلاوَّلُونَ وَٱلآخِرُونَ

yaghbi§uh£ bih¢ al-awwal£na wal-¡khir£na

which the past and last generations will wish to have.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ امِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa ¥alli `al¡ am¢ri almu'min¢na

And send blessings to `Al¢, the Commander of the Believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَقَائِدِ ٱلْغُرِّ ٱلُمحَجَّلِينَ

wa q¡'idi alghurri almu¦ajjal¢na

the leader of the white-forehead groups,

وَسَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ

wa sayyidi alwa¥iyy¢na

the chief of the Prophets’ Successors,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

wa ¥alli `al¡ al¦asani bni `aliyyin

And send blessings to al-°asan, the son of `Al¢,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

wa ¥alli `al¡ al¦usayni bni `aliyyin

And send blessings to al-°usayn, the son of `Al¢,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ

wa ¥alli `al¡ `aliyyi bni al¦usayni

And send blessings to `Al¢, the son of al-°usayn,

the leader of the faithful believers,

the inheritor of the Messengers,

wa ¥alli `al¡ ja`fari bni mu¦ammadin

And send blessings to Ja`far, the son of Mu¦ammad,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

wa ¥alli `al¡ m£s¡ bni ja`farin

And send blessings to M£s¡, the son of Ja`far,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَىٰ

wa ¥alli `al¡ `aliyyi bni m£s¡

And send blessings to `Al¢, the son of M£s¡,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

wa ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadi bni `aliyyin

And send blessings to Mu¦ammad, the son of `Al¢,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa ¥alli `al¡ `aliyyi bni mu¦ammadin

And send blessings to `Al¢, son of Mu¦ammad,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

wa ¥alli `al¡ al¦asani bni `aliyyin

And send blessings to al-°asan, son of `Al¢,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلَفِ ٱلْهَادِي ٱلْمَهْدِيِّ

wa ¥alli `al¡ alkhalafi alh¡d¢ almahdiyyi

And send blessings to the Successor, the guide and well-guided,

إِمَامِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنينَ

im¡mi almu'min¢na

the leader of the faithful believers,

وَوَارِثِ ٱلْمُرْسَلينَ

wa w¡rithi almursal¢na

the inheritor of the Messengers,

وَحُجَّةِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa ¦ujjati rabbi al`¡lam¢na

and the argument of the Lord of the worlds.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ahli baytih¢

O Allah, send blessings to Mu¦ammad and his Household,

ٱلائِمَّةِ ٱلْهَادِينَ

al-a'immati alh¡d¢na

the guiding Imams,

ٱلْعُلَمَاءِ ٱلصَّادِقِينَ

al`ulam¡'i al¥¥¡diq¢na

the knowledgeable, the veracious,

ٱلابْرَارِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

al-abr¡ri almuttaq¢na

the righteous, the pious,

دَعَائِمِ دِينِكَ

da`¡'imi d¢nika

the supports of Your religion,

وَارْكَانِ تَوْحِيدِكَ

wa ark¡ni taw¦¢dika

the pillars of the belief in Your Oneness,

وَتَرَاجِمَةِ وَحْيِكَ

wa tar¡jimati wa¦yika

the interpreters of Your Revelation,

وَحُجَجِكَ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ

wa ¦ujajika `al¡ khalqika

Your arguments on Your creatures,

وَخُلَفَائِكَ فِي ارْضِكَ

wa khulaf¡'ika f¢ ar¤ika

and Your representatives in Your lands,

ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَرْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ

alladh¢na ikhtartahum linafsika

whom You have chosen for Yourself,

وَٱصْطَفَيْتَهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ

wa i¥§afaytahum `al¡ `ib¡dika

You have preferred over Your servants,

وَٱرْتَضَيْتَهُمْ لِدِينِكَ

wa irta¤aytahum lid¢nika

You have accepted (as directors) of Your religion,

وَخَصَصْتَهُمْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ

wa kha¥a¥tahum bima`rifatika

You have given Your knowledge exclusively,

وَجَلَّلْتَهُمْ بِكَرَامَتِكَ

wa jallaltahum bikar¡matika

shaded with Your honoring,

وَغَشَّيْتَهُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

wa ghashshaytahum bira¦matika

covered with Your mercy,

وَرَبَّيْتَهُمْ بِنِعْمَتِكَ

wa rabbaytahum bini`matika

raised with Your boon,

وَغَذَّيْتَهُمْ بِحِكْمَتِكَ

wa ghadhdhaytahum bi¦ikmatika

fed on Your wisdom,

وَالْبَسْتَهُمْ نُورَكَ

wa albastahum n£raka

dressed Your Light,

وَرَفَعْتَهُمْ فِي مَلَكُوتِكَ

wa rafa`tahum f¢ malak£tika

lifted up to Your Sovereignty,

وَحَفَفْتَهُمْ بِمَلاَئِكَتِكَ

wa ¦afaftahum biml¡'ikatika

encompassed with Your angels,

وَشَرَّفْتَهُمْ بِنَبِيِّكَ

wa sharraftahum binabiyyika

and honored with Your Prophet,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

¥alaw¡tuka `alayhi wa ¡lihi

peace of You be upon him and his Household.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَيْهِمْ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa `alayhim

O Allah, (please) send blessings to Mu¦ammad and upon them

صلاَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً

¥alatan z¡kiyatan n¡miyatan

with blessings that are so pure, ever-growing,

كَثِيرَةً دَائِمَةً طَيِّبَةً

kath¢ratan d¡'imatan §ayyibatan

opulent, permanent, and good

لاَ يُحيطُ بِهَا إِلاَّ انْتَ

l¡ yu¦¢§u bih¡ ill¡ anta

that none can comprehend save You,

وَلاَ يَسَعُهَا إِلاَّ عِلْمُكَ

wa l¡ yasa`uh¡ ill¡ `ilmuka

none can embrace save Your knowledge,

وَلاَ يُحْصِيهَا احَدٌ غَيْرُكَ

wa l¡ yu¦¥¢h¡ a¦adun ghayruka

and none can count save You.

اَللَّهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ وَلِيِّكَ

all¡humma wa ¥alli `al¡ waliyyka

O Allah, and also send blessings to Your Friend

ٱلْمُحْيِي سُنَّتَكَ

almu¦y¢ sunnataka

who will restore Your way,

ٱلْقَائِمِ بِامْرِكَ

alq¡'imi bi-amrika

rise [to undertake the mission] by Your command,

ٱلدَّاعِي إِلَيْكَ

aldd¡`¢ ilayka

call unto You,

ٱلدَّليلِ عَلَيْكَ

alddal¢li `alayka

and guide to You.

حُجَّتِكَ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ

¦ujjatika `al¡ khalqika

[He is] Your argument against Your creatures,

وَخَلِيفَتِكَ فِي ارْضِكَ

wa khal¢fatika f¢ ar¤ika

Your representative in Your lands,

وَشَاهِدِكَ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ

wa sh¡hidika `al¡ `ib¡dika

and Your witness on Your servants.

اَللَّهُمَّ اعِزَّ نَصْرَهُ

all¡humma a`izza na¥rah£

O Allah, (please) confer upon him with a mighty help,

وَمُدَّ فِي عُمْرِهِ

wa mudda f¢ `umrih¢

extend his lifetime,

وَزَيِّنِ ٱلارْضَ بِطُولِ بَقَائِهِ

wa zayyin al-ar¤a bi§£li baq¡'ih¢

and adorn the earth with his long-lasting survival.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱكْفِهِ بَغْيَ ٱلْحَاسِدِينَ

all¡humma ikfih¢ baghya al¦¡sid¢na

O Allah, (please) save him from the oppression of the enviers,

وَاعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلْكَائِدِينَ

wa a`idh-hu min sharri alk¡'id¢na

protect him against the evils of the plotters,

وَٱزْجُرْ عَنْهُ إِرَادَةَ ٱلظَّالِمِينَ

wazjur `anhu ir¡data al¨¨¡lim¢na

deter the unjust from employing their wills against him,

وَخَلِّصْهُ مِنْ ايْدِي ٱلْجَبَّارِينَ

wa khalli¥hu min ayd¢ aljabb¡r¢na

and redeem him from the hands (i.e. powers) of the tyrants.

اَللَّهُمَّ اعْطِهِ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ

all¡humma a`§ih¢ f¢ nafsih¢ wa dhurriyyatih¢

O Allah, (please) grant him, concerning himself, his offspring,

وَشِيعَتِهِ وَرَعِيَّتِهِ

wa sh¢`atih¢ wa ra`iyyatih¢

his partisans, his subjects,

وَخَاصَّتِهِ وَعَامَّتِهِ

wa kh¡¥¥atih¢ wa `¡mmatih¢

his retinue, his publics,

وَعَدُوِّهِ وَجَميعِ اهْلِ ٱلدُّنْيَا

wa `aduwwih¢ wa jam¢`i ahli aldduny¡

[even] his enemies, and all the inhabitants of this world—

مَا تُقِرُّ بِهِ عَيْنَهُ

m¡ tuqirru bih¢ `aynah£

[give him] that which delights his eye

وَتَسُرُّ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ

wa tasurru bihi nafsah£

and entertains his self;

وَبَلِّغْهِ افْضَلَ مَا امَّلَهُ

wa balligh-hu af¤ala m¡ ammalah£

and make him attain the best of that which he desires

فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

f¢ aldduny¡ wal-¡khirati

in this world and the Next Word.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `al¡ kulli shay'in qad¢run

Verily, You have power over all things.

اَللَّهُمَّ جَدِّدْ بِهِ مَا ٱمَتَحَىٰ مِنْ دِينِكَ

all¡humma jaddid bih¢ m¡ imta¦¡ min d¢nika

O Allah, renew, through him, the features of Your religion that have been eradicated,

احْيِ بِهِ مَا بُدِّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ

wa a¦yi bih¢ m¡ buddila min kit¡bika

revive, through him, the instructions of Your Books that have been altered,

وَاظْهِرْ بِهِ مَا غُيِّرَ مِنْ حُكْمِكَ

wa a¨hir bih¢ m¡ ghuyyira min ¦ukmika

and manifest, through him, the laws of Your code that have been distorted

حَتَّىٰ يَعُودَ دِينُكَ بِهِ وَعَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ

¦att¡ ya`£da d¢nuka bih¢ wa `al¡ yadayhi

so that Your religion, through him and at his hands, will again become

غَضّاً جَدِيداً

gha¤¤an jad¢dan

fresh, new,

خَالِصاً مُخْلَصاً

kh¡li¥an mukhla¥an

pure, sound,

لاَ شَكَّ فِيهِ وَلاَ شُبْهَةَ مَعَهُ

l¡ shakka f¢hi wa l¡ shubhata ma`ah£

free from any doubt or any spurious matter,

وَلاَ بَاطِلَ عِنْدَهُ وَلاَ بِدْعَةَ لَدَيْهِ

wa l¡ b¡§ila `indah£ wa l¡ bid`ata ladayhi

and lacking any accompanying wrong or heresy.

اَللَّهُمَّ نَوِّرْ بِنُورِهِ كُلَّ ظُلْمَةٍ

all¡humma nawwir bin£rih¢ kulla ¨ulmatin

O Allah, through his light, light up all darkness,

وَهُدَّ بِرُكْنِهِ كُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ

wa hudda biruknih¢ kulla bid`atin

through his power, demolish all heresies,

وَٱهْدِمْ بِعِزِّهِ كُلَّ ضَلاَلَةٍ

wahdim bi`izzih¢ kulla ¤al¡latin

through his might, destroy all items of deviation,

وَٱقْصِمْ بِهِ كُلَّ جَبَّارٍ

waq¥im bih¢ kulla jabb¡rin

through him, annihilate all tyrants,

وَاخْمِدْ بِسَيْفِهِ كُلَّ نَارٍ

wa akhmid bisayfih¢ kulla n¡rin

though his sword, extinguish all fires [of sedition],

وَاهْلِكْ بِعَدْلِهِ جَوْرَ كُلِّ جَائِرٍ

wa ahlik bi`adlih¢ jawra kulli j¡'irin

through his justice, terminate the prejudice of all unjust ones,

وَاجْرِ حُكْمَهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ حُكْمٍ

wa ajri ¦ukmah£ `al¡ kulli ¦ukmin

make his rule prevail on all systems of rule,

وَاذِلَّ بِسُلْطَانِهِ كُلَّ سُلْطَانٍ

wa adhilla bisul§¡nih¢ kulla sul§¡nin

and through his authority, humiliate all other authorities.

اَللَّهُمَّ اذِلَّ كُلَّ مَنْ نَاوَاهُ

all¡humma adhilla kulla man n¡w¡hu

O Allah, (please) put down all those who antagonize him,

وَاهْلِكْ كُلَّ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa ahlik kulla man `¡d¡hu

wipe out all those who incur the hostility of him,

وَٱمْكُرْ بِمَنْ كَادَهُ

wamkur biman k¡dah£

exterminate the plots of all those who conspire against him,

وَٱسْتَاصِلْ مَنْ جَحَدَهُ حَقَّهُ

wasta'¥il man ja¦adah£ ¦aqqh£

and obliterate all those who deny his right,

وَٱسْتَهَانَ بِامْرِهِ

wastah¡na bi-amrih¢

belittle his mission,

وَسَعَىٰ فِي إِطْفَاءِ نُورِهِ

wa sa`¡ f¢ i§f¡'i n£rih¢

work on extinguishing his light,

وَارَادَ إِخْمَادَ ذِكْرِهِ

wa ar¡da ikhm¡da dhikrih¢

and intend to turn off his reputation.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ

all¡humma ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin almu¥§af¡

O Allah, (please) send blessings to Mu¦ammad, the Chosen Prophet,

وَعَلِيٍّ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ

wa `aliyyin almurta¤¡

`Al¢, the Well-pleased,

وَفَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ

wa f¡§imata alzzahr¡'i

F¡§imah, the Luminous,

وَٱلْحَسَنِ ٱلرِّضَا

wal¦asani alrri¤¡

al-°asan, the amicable,

وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ ٱلْمُصَفَّىٰ

wal¦usayni almu¥aff¡

al-°usayn, the purified,

وَجَميعِ ٱلاوْصِيَاءِ مَصَابيحِ ٱلدُّجَىٰ

wa jam¢`i al-aw¥y¡'i ma¥¡b¢¦i aldduj¡

and all the Successors, the lanterns of darkness,

وَاعْلاَمِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

wa a`l¡mi alhud¡

the signs of true guidance,

وَمَنَارِ التُّقَىٰ

wa man¡ri alttuq¡

the lamps of piety,

وَٱلْعُرْوَةِ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ

wal`urwati alwuthq¡

the firmest handle,

وَٱلْحَبْلِ ٱلْمَتينِ

wal¦abli almat¢ni

the resolved rope [between Allah and His creatures],

وَٱلصِّرَاطِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ

wal¥¥ir¡§i almustaq¢mi

and the straight path.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ وَلِيِّكَ وَوُلاَةِ عَهْدِكَ

wa ¥alli `al¡ waliyyika wa wul¡ti `ahdika

And (please) send blessings to Your Friend and the trustees of Your affairs

وَٱلائِمَّةِ مِنْ وُلْدِهِ

wal-a'immati min wuldih¢

and the Imams from his descendants,

وَمُدَّ فِي اعْمَارِهِمْ

wa mudda f¢ a`m¡rihim

extend their lifetimes,

وَزِدْ فِي آجَالِهِمْ

wa zid f¢ ¡j¡lihim

increase their periods of life,

وَبَلِّغْهُمْ اقْصَىٰ آمَالِهِمْ

wa balligh-hum aq¥¡ ¡m¡lihim

and make them attain the utmost of their expectations

دِيناً وَدُنْياً وَآخِرَةً

d¢nan wa dunyan wa ¡khiratan

in the religion, the world, and the Hereafter.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَديرٌ

innaka `al¡ kulli shay'in qad¢run

Verily, You have power over all things.
