Peace be on you O tested one

tested by He who created you

and He found you patient in your test

I attest to your position

and am patient

with all that your father and his successor have brought

blessings of Allah be on both of them

I ask you

if I have believed in and attested to you position

to join me together with the two of them

(your father and his successor)

along with my testimony (in you)

so that my soul may become joyous

so bear witness

that I make evident your guardianship

and the guardianship of your household

blessings of Allah be on all of them

before He created you

on what He tested you with

We believe in you, and are your followers

and we submit to all that was brought

by your father, blessings of Allah be on him and his family

and by his successor, peace be on him

and we ask You, O Allah

if we attest truly to them

that You grant us an elevated status through it

so we can give ourselves good news

that we have purified ourselves through their guardianship
