In the name of Allah,
The Beneficent, The Merciful

O my Ultimate Sanctuary when troubles surround me! O my Last Hope when difficulties trouble me! Unto Thee I turn to, before Thee I stand to get help, with Thee I take refuge, except Thee there is no refuge; I do not seek joy after sorrow from anyone save Thee, So come to my help and free me from cares O He who accept even the smallest (efforts) but excuses from restrictions, accept whatever little there is and release from hardships frequently, Verily Thou art Oft-forgiving, Merciful. O Allah I ask for the faith which gives joy, satisfaction and confidence to my heart till I am positively aware that I will not have my fill unless it has been approved for me, and happiness will agree with me only whereby justly and fairly distributed, O the Most Merciful. O my "means" in my troubles! O my Companion in my difficulties! O my Guardian in my happiness! O the ultimate of my inclinations! Thou covers up my shortcomings, affords security in the event of crisis and fearful disasters, therefore, overlook my transgressions, O the Most Merciful,

TRANSLITERATION

 YAA MAFZA-E’E I’NDA KURBATEE WA YAA GHAWTHEE I’NDA SHIDDATEE ILAYKA FAZIA’-TUWA BIKASTAGHATH-TU WA BIKA LUD’TU LAA ALOOD’U BI-SIWAAKA WA LAA AT’LUBUL FARAJA ILLAA MINKA FA-AGHITHNEE WA FARRIJ A’NNEE YAA MAN YAQBALUL YASEER WA YAA’-FOO A’NIL KATHEER IQBAL MINNIL YASEERA WAA’-FU A’NNIL KATHEER INNAKA ANTAL GHAFOORUR RAH’EEM ALLAAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA EEMAANAN TUBAASHIRU BIHEE QALBEE WA YAQEENAN H’ATTAA AA’-LAMA  ANNAHU LAN YUS’EEBANEE ILLAA MAA KATABTA LEE WA RAZ”Z”INEE MINAL A’YSHI BIMAA QASAMTA LEE YAA ARH’AMAR RAAH’IMEEN YAA U’DDATEE FEE KURBATEE WA YAA S’AAH’IBEE FEE SHIDDATEE WA YAA WALIYYEE FEE NIA’-MATEE WA YAA GHAAYATEE FEE RAGHBATEE ANTAS SAATIRU A’WRATEE WAL AAMINU ROO-A’TEE  WAL MUQEELU A’THRATEE FAGHFIRLEE KHAT’EEE-ATEE YAA ARH’AMAR RAAH’IMEEN

It is recommended to say the following supplicatory prayer, which is considered the shortest supplicatory prayer to be said at the last hours of Ramadhan nights. It is also mentioned in Iqbal al-A`mal:

يَا مَفْزَعِي عِنْدَ كُرْبَتِي

y¡ mafza`¢ `inda kurbat¢

O my Safe haven at grievances!

وَيَا غَوْثِي عِنْدَ شِدّتِي

wa y¡ ghawth¢ `inda shiddat¢

O my Aide at hardships!

إِلَيْكَ فَزِعْتُ

ilayka fazi`tu

To You do I turn,

وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ

wa bika istaghathtu

Your help do I seek,

وَبِكَ لُذْتُ

wa bika ludhtu

and with You do I take refuge.

لاَ الُوذُ بِسِوَاكَ

l¡ al£dhu bisiw¡ka

I seek refuge with none save You

وَلاَ اطْلُبُ ٱلْفَرَجَ إِلاَّ مِنْكَ

wa l¡ a§lubu alfaraja ill¡ minka

and I beseech none for relief save You.

فَاغِثْنِي وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّي

fa'aghithn¢ wa farrij `ann¢

So, (please) come to my help and free me from cares.

يَا مَنْ يَقْبَلُ ٱلْيَسِيرَ

y¡ man yaqbalu alyas¢ra

O He Who accepts even the least efforts

وَيَعْفُو عَنِ ٱلْكَثِيرِ

wa ya`f£ `an alkath¢ri

excuses the much wrongdoing!

إِقْبَلْ مِنِّي ٱلْيَسِيرَ

iqbal minn¢ alyas¢ra

(Please do) accept my little effort

وَٱعْفُ عَنِّي ٱلْكَثِيرَ

wa`fu `ann¢ alkath¢ra

excuse my much wrongdoing.

إِنِّكَ انْتَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

innaka anta alghaf£ru alrra¦¢mu

Verily, You are the Oft-forgiving, Merciful (Lord).

اللِّهُمِّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ إِيـمَاناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka ¢m¡nan tub¡shiru bih¢ qalb¢

O Allah, I ask for faith with which You may fill my heart

وَيَقِيناً حَتَّىٰ اعْلَمَ انِّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَنِي إِلاَّ مَا كَتَبْتَ لِي

wa yaq¢nan ¦att¡ a`lama annah£ lan yu¥¢ban¢ ill¡ m¡ katabta l¢

and for certitude so that I shall always know that nothing will afflict me save what You have ordained for me.

وَرَضِّنِي مِنَ ٱلْعَيْشِ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

wa ra¤¤in¢ min al`ayshi bim¡ qasamta l¢

(Please) make me feel satisfied with the living that You decide for me.

يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

y¡ ar¦ama alrr¡¦im¢na

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

يَا عُدِّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي

y¡ `uddat¢ f¢ kurbat¢

O my means at times of agonies!

وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدِّتِي

wa y¡ ¥¡¦ib¢ f¢ shiddat¢

O my companion at times of hardships!

وَيَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي

wa y¡ waliyy¢ f¢ ni`mat¢

O Source of my all bounties!

وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي

wa y¡ gh¡yat¢ f¢ raghbat¢

O my ultimate goal whenever I desire for something!

انْتَ ٱلسَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي

anta alss¡tiru `awrat¢

It is You Who is the concealer of my defects,

وَٱلآمِنُ رَوْعَتِي

wal-¡minu raw`at¢

Who secures me at times of horror,

وَٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي

wal-muq¢lu `athrat¢

and Who overlooks my slips.

فَٱغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي

faghfir l¢ kha§¢'at¢

So, (please do) forgive my sin.

يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

y¡ ar¦ama alrr¡¦im¢na

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
