اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِهِ

all�humma inn� as�aluka min fa�lika bi-af�alihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors;

وَكُلّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ،

wa kullu fa�lika f��ilun

and all Your favors are excellent.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلّهِ.

all�humma inn� as�aluka bifa�lika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِأَعَمّهِ

all�humma inn� as�aluka min rizqika bi-a`ammhi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance;

وَكُلّ رِزْقِكَ عَامّ،

wa kullu rizqika `�mmun

and all Your sustenance is widespread.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلّهِ.

all�humma inn� as�aluka birizqika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِأَهْنَئِهِ

all�humma inn� as�aluka min `a���ika bi-ahna�ihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal;

وَكُلّ عَطَائِكَ هَنِيءٌ،

wa kullu `a���ika han��

and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَطَائِكَ كُلّهِ.

all�humma inn� as�aluka bi`a���ika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِأَعْجَلِهِ

all�humma inn� as�aluka min khayrika bi-a`jalihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare;

وَكُلّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ،

wa kullu khayrika `�jilun

and Your entire welfare is instant.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلّهِ.

all�humma inn� as�aluka bikhayrika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ إحْسَانِكَ بِأَحْسَنِهِ

all�humma inn� as�aluka min i�s�nika bi-a�sanihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence;

وَكُلّ إحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ،

wa kullu i�s�nika �asanun

and Your entire benevolence is excellent.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِإحْسَانِكَ كُلّهِ.

all�humma inn� as�aluka bii�s�nika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ،

all�humma inn� as�aluka bim� tuj�buny bihi ��na as�aluka

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ،

fajibny y� all�hu

therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.

وَصَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ عَبْدِكَ المُرْتَضَى،

wa �alli `al� mu�ammadin `abdika almurta��

And (please do) send blessings upon Mu�ammad, Your pleased servant,

وَرَسُولِكَ المُصْطَفَى،

wa ras�lika almu��af�

Your chosen Messenger,

وَأَمِينِكَ وَنَجِيّكَ دُونَ خَلْقِكَ،

wa am�nika wa najiyyika d�na khalqika

Your trustee, Your confidant one among all Your beings,

وَنَجِيبِكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ،

wa naj�bika min `ib�dika

Your selected one among all Your servants,

وَنَبِيّكَ بِالصّدْقِ وَحَبِيبِكَ،

wa nabiyyika bil��idqi wa �ab�bika

Your true Prophet, and Your much-loved one.

وَصَلّ عَلَى رَسُولِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنَ العَالَمِينَ

wa �alli `al� ras�lika wa khiyaratika mina al`�lam�na

And (please do) send blessings upon (him) Your messenger, Your choicest among all people,

البَشِيرِ النّذِيرِ،

albash�ri alnnadh�ri

the conveyor of good tidings (for the believers), the warner ,

السّرَاجِ المُنِيرِ،

alssir�ji almun�ri

and the luminous lantern;

وَعَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الأَبْرَارِ الطَّاهِرِينَ،

wa `al� ahli baytihi alabr�ri al���hir�na

and (please do send blessings) upon his Household, the pious and the immaculate;

وَعَلَى مَلائِكَتِكَ الّذِينَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ،

wa `al� mal��ikatika alladh�na astakhla�tahum linafsika wa �ajabtahum `an khalqika

and upon Your angels whom You have attached to Your Person and concealed against Your beings;

وَعَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ الّذِينَ يُنْبِئُونَ عَنْكَ بِالصّدْقِ،

wa `al� anbiy��ika alladh�na yunbi��na `anka bil��idqi

and upon Your Prophets who convey Your instructions truly;

وَعَلَى رُسُلِكَ الّذِينَ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ

wa `al� rusulika alladh�na kha�a�tahum biwa�yika

and upon Your Messengers whom You have given exclusively Your Revelations

وَفَضّلْتَهُمْ عَلَى العَالَمِينَ بِرِسَالاتِكَ،

wa fa��altahum `al� al`�lam�na biris�l�tika

and You have made excel the others by means of Your messages;

وَعَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

wa `al� `ib�dika al���li��na

and upon Your righteous servants

الّذِينَ أَدْخَلْتَهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ

alladh�na adkhaltahum f� ra�matika

whom You have included with Your mercy,

الأَئِمّةِ المُهْتَدِينَ الرَّاشِدِينَ وَأَوْلِيَائِكَ المُطَهّرِينَ،

al-a�immati almuhtad�na alrr�shid�na wa awliy��ika almu�ahhar�na

the guides, the well-guided, the orthodox, and Your pure saints;

وَعَلَى جَبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإسْرَافِيلَ وَمَلَكِ المَوْتِ،

wa `al� jabr���la wa m�k���la wa isr�f�la wa malaki almawti

and upon (Archangels) Gabriel, Michael, Isr�f�l, and the Angel of Death;

وَعَلَى رِضْوَانَ خَازِنِ الجِنَانِ،

wa `al� ri�w�na kh�zini aljin�ni

and upon Ri�w�n the Keeper of Paradise;

وَعَلَى مَالِكٍ خَازِنِ النَّارِ،

wa `al� m�likin kh�zini alnn�ri

and upon M�lik the Keeper of Hell,

وَرُوحِ القُدُسِ،

wa r��i alqudusi

and the Holy Spirit,

وَالرّوحِ الأَمِينِ،

wal-rr��i alam�ni

the Spirit of Faith,

وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِكَ المُقَرّبِينَ،

wa �amalati `arshika almuqarrb�na

and the Favorite Bearers of Your Throne;

وَعَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ الحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيّ

wa `al� almalakayni al��fi�ayni `alayya

and upon the two angels who watch over me�

بِالصّلاةِ الّتِي تُحِبّ أَنْ يُصَلّيَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَهْلُ السّمَاوَاتِ وَأَهْلُ الأَرَضِينَ،

bil��lati allaty tu�ibb an yu�alliya bih� `alayhim ahlu alssam�w�ti wa ahlu alara��na

blessings that You desire that the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth pray You to send upon them;

صَلاةً طَيّبَةً كَثِيرَةً

�alatan �ayyibatan kath�ratan

blessings that are pure, abundant,

مُبَارَكَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً ظَاهِرَةً

mub�rakatan z�kiyatan n�miyatan ��hiratan

holy, genuine, growing, evident,

بَاطِنَةً شَرِيفَةً فَاضِلَةً

b��inatan shar�fatan f��ilatan

deep, honorable, and virtuous

تُبَيّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَى الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ.

tubayyinu bih� fa�lahum `al� al-awwal�na wal-�khir�na

through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.

اللّهُمّ أَعْطِ مُحَمّداً الوَسِيلَةَ وَالشّرَفَ وَالفَضِيلَةَ

all�humma a`�i mu�ammadan alwas�lata wal-shsharafa wal-fa��lata

O Allah: (please do) give Mu�ammad subtle way, honor, and precedence

وَاجْزِهِ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ نَبِيّاً عَنْ أُمّتِهِ.

wajzihi khayra m� jazayta nabiyyan `an �ummatihi

and reward him with the best reward that You ever give to a Prophet on behalf of his nation.

اللّهُمّ وَأَعْطِ مُحَمّداً صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ مَعَ كُلّ زُلْفَةٍ زُلْفَةً،

all�humma wa a`�i mu�ammadan �all� all�hu `alayhi wa �lihi ma`a kulli zulfatin zulfatan

O Allah: (please do) give Mu�ammad�peace of Allah be upon him and his Family�an additional proximity with each proximity that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ وَسِيلَةٍ وَسِيلَةً،

wa ma`a kulli was�latin was�latan

and an additional subtle means with each means that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ فَضِيلَةٍ فَضِيلَةً،

wa ma`a kulli fa��latin fa��latan

and an additional merit with each merit that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلّ شَرَفٍ شَرَفاً

wa ma`a kulli sharafin sharafan

and an additional honor with each honor that You decide for him;

تُعْطِي مُحَمّداً وَآلَهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ أَفْضَلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ أَحَداً مِنَ الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ.

tu`�y mu�ammadan wa �lahu yawma alqiy�mati af�ala m� a`�ayta a�adan mina al-awwal�na wal-�khir�na

and (please do) give Mu�ammad and his Household, on the Resurrection Day, the best of all that which You have given to any of Your creatures from the past and the coming generations.

اللّهُمّ وَاجْعَلْ مُحَمّداً صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَدْنَى المُرْسَلِينَ مِنْكَ مَجْلِساً،

all�humma waj`al mu�ammadan �all� all�hu `alayhi wa �lihi adn� almursal�na minka majlisan

O Allah: (please do) choose for Mu�ammad�peace of Allah be upon him and his Family�the nearest position to You;

وَأَفْسَحَهُمْ فِي الجَنّةِ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلاً،

wa afsa�ahum f� aljannati `indaka manzilan

and the most expansive abode in Paradise in Your vicinity;

وَأَقْرَبَهُمْ إلَيْكَ وَسِيلَةً،

wa aqrabahum ilayka was�latan

and the most effective means to You.

وَاجْعَلْهُ أَوّلَ شَافِعٍ،

waj`alhu awwala sh�fi`in

And (please do) make him the chief interceder,

وَأَوّلَ مُشَفّعٍ،

wa awwala mushaff`in

the chief mediator,

وَأَوّلَ قَائِلٍ،

wa awwala q��ilin

the first speaker,

وَأَنْجَحَ سَائِلٍ،

wa anja�a s��ilin

the most successful petitioner.

وَابْعَثْهُ المَقَامَ المَحْمُودَ الّذِي يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الأَوّلُونَ وَالآخِرُونَ

w�b`athhu almaq�ma alma�m�da alladhy yaghbi�uhu bihi alaw�l�na wal-�khir�na

And (please do) send him the Praiseworthy Standing due to which all the past and coming generations will envy him;

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ،

y� ar�ama alrr��im�na

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

wa as�aluka an tu�alliya `al� mu�ammadin wa �li mu�ammadin

And I do beseech You to bless Mu�ammad and the Household of Mu�ammad,

وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِي،

wa an tasma`a �awt�

to hear my voice;

وَتُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي،

wa tuj�ba da`wat�

to respond to my plea,

وَتَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي،

wa tataj�waza `an kha���at�

to overlook my sins,

وَتَصْفَحَ عَنْ ظُلْمِي،

wa ta�fa�a `an �ulm�

to excuse my wrongdoings,

وَتُنْجِحَ طَلِبَتِي،

wa tunji�a �alibat�

to give success to my prayer,

وَتَقْضِيَ حَاجَتِي،

wa taq�iya ��jat�

to settle my needs,

وَتُنْجِزَ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِي،

wa tunjiza l� m� wa`adtan�

to fulfill Your promise to me,

وَتُقِيلَ عَثْرَتِي،

wa tuq�la `athrat�

to let off my offense,

وَتَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبِي،

wa taghfira dhun�b�

to forgive my sins,

وَتَعْفُوَ عَنْ جُرْمِي،

wa ta`fwa `an jurm�

to pardon my evildoings,

وَتُقْبِلَ عَلَيّ وَلا تُعْرِضَ عَنّي،

wa tuqbila `alayya wa l� tu`ri�a `ann�

to accept me and not to reject me,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَلا تُعَذّبَنِي،

wa tar�amany wa l� tu`adhdhiban�

to have mercy upon me and not to punish me,

وَتُعَافِيَنِي وَلا تَبْتَلِيَنِي،

wa tu`�fiyany wa l� tabtaliyan�

to grant me good health and not to afflict me,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنَ الرّزْقِ أَطْيَبَهُ وَأَوْسَعَهُ وَلا تَحْرِمَنِي،

wa tarzuqany mina alrrzqi a�iyabahu wa awsa`ahu wa l� ta�riman�

to grant me from the nicest and most extensive sustenance and not to deprive me (of Your sustenance).

يَارَبّ وَاقْضِ عَنّي دَيْنِي،

y� rabbi waq�i `ann� dayn�

O my Lord: (please do) help me settle my debts;

وَضَعْ عَنّي وِزْرِي،

wa �a` `ann� wizr�

and relieve me of my burdens;

وَلا تُحَمّلْنِي مَا لا طَاقَةَ لِي بِهِ،

wa l� tu�ammilny m� l� ��qata l� bihi

and do not impose on me that which I have not the strength to bear.

يَا مَوْلايَ وَأَدْخِلْنِي فِي كُلّ خَيْرٍ أَدْخَلْتَ فِيهِ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ،

y� mawl�ya wa adkhilny f� kull khayrin adkhalta f�hi mu�ammadan wa �la mu�ammadin

O my Master: and (please do) include me with every good item that You have chosen from Mu�ammad and the Household of Mu�ammad

وَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنْ كُلّ سُوءٍ أَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمّداً وَآلَ مُحَمّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ،

wa akhrijny min kulli s��in akhrajta minhu mu�ammadan wa �la mu�ammadin �alaw�tuka `alayhi wa `alayhim

and take me out of any evil from which You have saved Mu�ammad and the Household of Mu�ammad�Your blessings be upon him and them.

وَالسّلامُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.

wa alssal�mu `alayhi wa `alayhim wa ra�matu all�hi wa barak�tuhu

Peace, Allah�s mercy, and blessings be upon him and them.

اللّهُمّ إنّي أَسْأَلُكَ قَلِيلاً مِنْ كَثِيرٍ

all�humma inn� as�aluka qal�lan min kath�rin

O Allah, I ask You for a little from the very much,

مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِي إلَيْهِ عَظِيمَةٍ،

ma`a ��jatin by ilayhi `a��matin

in the midst of my many needs for which I entirely depend on You,

وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيمٌ،

wa ghin�ka `anhu qad�mun

and You, since eternity, are able to do without them,

وَهُوَ عِنْدِي كَثِيرٌ،

wa huwa `indy kath�run

but for me it is titanic

وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيرٌ،

wa huwa `alayka sahlun yas�run

and for You it is very easy and simple.

فَامْنُنْ عَلَيّ بِهِ إنّكَ عَلَى كُلّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ،

famnun `alayya bihi innaka `al� kulli shay�in qad�run

So, (please do) bestow upon me with them, for You have power over all things.

آمِينَ رَبّ العَالَمِينَ.

�m�na rabbal-`�lam�n

Respond to me, O the Lord of the worlds.
